Nothing big planned for today but I think I'm going to go buy the firm. I want to make sure that I have a little variety in my workouts so I'm not getting bored lol.

Spryng- woo hooo shopping trip!!!! I'm just so excited for you!!!!! Yayyyyyyyyy!!!!

Penny- Actually Ive been shopping already lol I got a ton of clothes from ross the other day 2 pair of capris which are a little snug but will fit me in a few weeks and even a swimsuit in a size 14 and it fits!!! but of course its a little snug but who cares. I even bought some off the shoulder shirts.

Geri I'm glad you had a good time out without the kids!

Ok there are too many newbies I havent really had teh time to meet yet lol I hope you alll love it here!!

Hi ladies,

Hope everyone had a great 4th. My 4th was spent in the hospital with a client...it was awesome, even though she didn't deliver until 1 am (technically, the 5th). She had a totally un-medicated labor and she was totally awesome! anyway, just had to share with someone! LOL...i didn't get home until 3:30 am, so i am totally out of it today...i did get in my exercise last night walking those halls! All my client wanted to do was walk, walk, walk! even while pushing, she kept saying "can't i just walK?" and her midwife was like, "well, we don't want to have to deliver her in the hall". LOL...anyway, it was a little baby girl...so cute..***sigh***...i love my job...

Penny;
Usually my DH is home in the evening and during the night, so he watches the kids, and then if he is working, my MIL watches them. But...DH was out of town this weekend visiting with a friend, and so my MIL had to watch my three year old and the other kids. my older ones could probably stay alone on they're own for a little while, but MIL had them all sleep over at her house last night, so i guess that was probably better. just call me paranoid mom! hard to cut those apron strings...LOL Anyway, i probably will start letting my older ones watch my three year old durning those times, since normally DH is just a phone call away and works normal hours so they wouldn't have to be alone with her for too long. anyway, i am really tired and starting to ramble..LOL

hope you all have a good day!

Tricia,

I bet you are tired! I would be too! I am glad everything turned out great. What was the babys first name and stats? If you can share. Not sure about patient rules..... lol I just love babies

Well I just got in a one mile walk. It is better than nothing. I am going to try to at least do one mile everyday.

Have a great day!

It's me again!

Penny, 1 mile is great! It's all about baby steps and you are going to succeed!!

Tricia, how neat! So what exactly do you do as a doula? Just coach? HOw big was the baby? How long did she push? I love birthing details too!

Michelle, that was so sweet of you guys to invite your new neighbors over! I wish I knew my neighbors. Could be the start of a beautiful friendship for you! And congrats on your new clothes! You really must have alot of lean muscle because when I was 160 lbs I wore a size 14! How tall are you again? You are doing so great! How is being an exercise moderator going?

Well I got most of my housework done. All I have left is to mop my kitchen and fold some laundry. I even cleaned my fridge out and scrubbed the inside down. Looks so much better. Now I need to get out my mister clean eraser thingy and scrub the outside. I may save that for tomorrow though Other than that I've been reading my new big cooking light cookbook and thinking about taking up baking. There are some great bread, pastry, cake, etc recipes I'd love to try. But I have one question. A couple recipes I want to make this weekend have meringue on them, can you use splenda instead of sugar to create meringue??

ok, gotta go. TTYL!

Hi all.
Tricia, I don't think I got to introduce myself to you. I'm Crystal, almost 27 yo sahm of 3; almost 4. Alisa 5, Ally 3, Andrew 19 months and I'm due in February. I think what you do is great. I had all 3 of my kids at home with a midwife and a doula at the last birth. The midwife doesn't practice anymore so I'm having this one in the hospital with a doc, yuck!!! Well, I'm glad you found us and I hope you stick around. I began here and had lost 15 lbs. when I found out I was pregnant but wanted to hang around and hopefully make this one the healthiest one yet. I'm just now getting around to start counting calories and exercising again.
Anyways, Spryng, WTG!!! You are an inspiration. You're who I'm gonna turn to after I have this baby. I'll have my 10th yr. high school reunion about 6 to 8 months after having this baby and I'll want to lose as much as possible. You are awesome and I'm so happy for you.
Well, for dinner I'm gonna make pork chops, but not sure how just yet. Green beans from my garden, zucchini from my garden and I don't know what else. I'll try to check in later.

Hey all!

Well Just a quick drop in (as usual) to let you chicks know that I'm here still ! I have a few seconds because I smell a poopy diaper! Well let me go change her and come back....

OK I'm Back!! Sorry I havent been checkin in! It still makes me chuckle to come on here after one day and find that another thread has been started! I feel soo slow! I havent had any free time to myself. I am very, very cranky right now! I didnt get to exercise yesterday, and I still haven't yet.. today. Everybody and everything gets on my nerves!! I'm used to getting up and going where ever I please... even if it is just to the store or something. Now I have to wait for everyone to get ready. My sister wants to sleep all da*n day and at about 4 or 5 say... Are we going anywhere today? H*ll No! The day is over with!! Meanwhile I havent really gotten anything accomplished that I wanted to. I just don't get it.... why is such dumb things irritating me?!? I'm not even going to get on the hubby, he just gets on my nerves... for no reason... or every reason. I need an attitude adjustment! I need help!! I wouldnt want to be my friend if I met me right now!!!! Anyways, my kids are both acting bad and they are getting on my nerves! Plus it's over 90 degrees outside, and THAT gets on my nerves! I can just imagine me trying to go walking out there in this heat, I'd be passed out in 5 minutes. I want to go to the beach or pool, but Tom is still linguring and that gets on my nerves!!

So... I guess everyone can see why I havent checked in.... too grumpy!! As you all know, this dumb AOL cuts off constantly and that just tops the cake. I really, really, want to leave!! The hubby is off fishing, but when he comes in... which better be in the next 30 minutes or so... I'm leaving him, the kids,, and maybe even the lil sis and go buy me some tampons and get a tan or something. This weather sucks so bad, I doubt I get into the water...plus Its probably packed. But I don't care... I need some alone time!

Well everyone, sorry If I ruined your day! I didnt come here to type this...but it all just came out this way! My life seems to just suck and be the worst ever.. but I know that it isnt.... I just have this major bad mood thing going... and I've been having a headache every single day! Plus I cant seem to wake up early, and I've started having nightmares again. I assume this could make you all be grouchy too! Well anyways, I will try my best to come back here with a more positive attitude. Whichs gives me a bit of lee-way since it just has to be a little better since its so bad now!! ! Quick,Quick comments and I gotta go!!

Penny~ Yes I have a son... I think I put 2 pics of him on there, but if not, I have some of him I could put up.

Spryng~ WTG!!! That's great! I'm proud of ya! I wish I could be a size 8!!! Not even at my goal weight!!

Michelle~ Glad you got the alcohol out of your system!! It's a bit late...but hey.. so am I!!! That sounds great about your shopping trip! That's me, a size 14! All I can find are dumb swimsuits that say s/m/L.... barely I can find an extra large... Then they jump to 22+!! Ok, finally that is too big, but he*l, all the others are too small! So good for you!! Just finding a swimsuit was great... BTW where did you get it from again?!?!

Di- You make my lousy 90 degrees look pitiful... 100!! I'd die!!! I guess I better get ready to die soon huh? Oh well too bad for me! Anyways hope you had fun!

Melmcc99- hey, you arent the only one not getting exercises in so don't feel bad... Maybe we can start our own club!! The no exercising SAHM's !!! Nah, there's always tomorrow right?!? At least that is what I always tell myself anyway!

Crystal- you are amazing! You are going to have another one and you have a 19 mth old!!! You get a !!! I wish I could do that.... I can barely make it with my 19 mth old, and 6 yr old!!! I'm not being sarcastic either... I mean it! I WISH I could have another... but I couldnt picture it right now! My 19 mth old is 25 lbs... My son was the big one... He's still pretty big at 65 lbs! But a couple of months ago he was 80 lbs! He always loses weight during the summer!

Well, Everyone else I missed.. I'll get to ya next time!! I hope you all are having a great day!

Well I hope everyone has a blessed week, and I will talk to you soon! Jaymi

We went to my in-laws and then my parents, and then moved the party to out house and finally kicked everyone out at 3AM!!! It was a blast though! We got all the new wood blinds put up and the laminate floor is almost complete! It looks soooo nice! Don't have tiem to chat too much, trying to take advantage of a day of with the dd and dh! Hope you all had a wonderful 4th! I think I will get out stuff for Orange chicken stir-fry tonight! For all the hoopla yesterday I made some good choices about what I was snacking on etc! I felt so much better after thinking through my snacks instead of just eating and filling myself up with stuff that I don't even remember eating or am even hungry for!

Have a nice rest of the long weekend everyone!

oh Cindi -
I played tag with all the neighborhood kids yesterday for 1 1/2 hours! and today I went to the park and played basketball with the little girl who lives down the street, tons of fun and good exercise too! No cracking the whip on me!!!!!!! haha!

Hey girls!!

Jaymi, I bought my swimsuit at ross dress for less which is exactly like marshalls or tj maxx. In fact I think they are all owned by the same company but I could be wrong.

Spryng Im not really a size 14 I'm acutally an 18 now but of course you know it always depends on the brand of clothing that you are buying. I hate that I wish they had a universal sizing system ugghhhh. So I decided not to buy the firm but instead I got a bicycle!! I'm so excited and if it doesnt decide to rain I'm going to ride it to work!! Also I am having a good time with being the exercise Mod but I've also become the moderator of dieting with health problems forum which I also post on with some regularity.

I have some weight training scheduled for when I get home. Hopefully 45 minutes.

Crystal I hope you are feeling better, and glad that the summer has you keeping busy

Hi Tricia I'm Michelle Sahm to 2 yo Taylor and 8 month old Teagan. Both girls! I do work part time a few days a week for a few hours at night just to get me out of the house and earn a little extra money. Your job sounds so stressful but enjoyable at the same time

Ok I'm gonna go watch the kids swim (hubby is out there now with my sister so I should join them) Have a great afternoon everyone!!

Hello again!

My evening is starting out ok. Got a phone call that was upseting. But o-well... I will deal with it and move on. I'm trying to fight the depression it brought to me. I know I can beat it.
Dinner was boca burgers and fries, only 5 pts but I'm satisfied. I have pts left for something sweet later if I have something around here, lol. I may have a cake I am bake. That would be good. Or some no pudge brownies.

Michelle, what kind of bicycle did you get? Sounds like fun!

Kristin, sounds like you had a nice weekend! Your dinner sounds great too.

Jaymi I'm so sorry life it getting to you. We all go through those phases. Is your sister visiting or living with you? I hope things get back to normal for you soon.

Crystal, your kind words to me really touched my heart. Thank you! And I will be here for you after your little one is born to help inspire you to get those lbs off before your reunion. How much have you gained thus far? Sounds like you garden is producing well!

Well, I guess I will get off here. I've been thinking about taking up baking. Did I mention that earlier? It's not something I've ever done. I have made lots of box cake recipes and such but never home made from scratch and my new cookinglight cookbook has inspired me to want to try my hand at breads and decadent desserts! So I think friday's will be my baking night (this week will have to be saturday because I won't get home until late friday) Do any of you bake much? Also I will be weighing in on thursday of this week instead of friday for the same reason. Just thought I'd let you know. After such a good loss last friday I won't even peek at the scale because I'd be afraid to jinx myself, LOL. So we'll see.
Ok, gonna get off here. TTYL!

Penny- I gotta hand it to you, girl, you manage to get a nice personal post in no matter what! Thanks for that......Spryng- congrats on the size 8's. And hope your back is better. Geri- that bike ride sounds like it was fun. How was your 4th? Michele- congrats on the 1.6#. You go, girl!!!!!!! Diane- 100 degrees.....I am melting just thinking about it......can't wait to see the candle. Crystal- it is so good to hear a more happy you! Glad you are feeling a bit better.

Forgive me if I forgot you.....or missed you. Ds left the computer on and I thought I would at least say hi. Had some trouble getting on the site the other day.....not sure why.
Have a great evening......see ya later!

Hey all, I got my 25 minute walk into pushing Abigail....40lbs in my jogging stroller. Went all the way to town in this discusting heat! 90 hear today and humid.

Spryng, way to go on the size 8 jeans. Seems like forever to get back there to me. But if I don't work on it, it will be forever.....

Geri, great to go on a 20 mile BR. HOpe you enjoyed it.

Penny, thanks for the info on TOPS. I have heard from a friend of mine that has a friend who goes and told me there are only 6 older women...50ish and they are the same ones who have been going for a number of years. That didn't give me much incentive to go. Maybe I'll try a different towns meeting.

Have a great night all. 'be checkin' in tomorrow.

Good evening ladies,
Sounds like everyone had a good holiday. Cindi, I have been getting in my exercise, at least 30 min a day. Last night dh,ds's and I just stayed home and watched fireworks on tv, and then went outside and saw the city display from here. I went canoeing with some friends yesterday afternoon. It was a four hour trip, about 6 miles I think. The girl I was with was just as inexpierenced as me. Let me tell you, it was an adventure. At one point there was a pretty fast current, and we were trying to avoid a HUGE tree limb with grass and rocks and stuff that was in the middle of the river. The front of the boat, where I was of course, hit that thing, and we flipped over the canoe, and all of our stuff went floating down the river. Before we flipped, I was getting ready to push off that log with my paddle, and there was a HUGE snake on there. It hit the water the same time I did, and my one thought wasn't "I hope I don't drown," it was "I hope I don't get bit." It was actually pretty funny. In the process of falling out though, my flip flops got tore off in the current, and I had to walk to the next sand bar barefooted, so my feet got cut a little bit on the gravel, and I hit my knee on a boulder, so I have a good sized bruise there. Some of my friends went on down the river and caught most of our stuff. The only thing I lost was my toe ring. It has never come off before in the pool,or last year when I went canoing. It wasn't one of those 3$ from wal mart, my dad got it for me for my 21st birthday, and it was real gold and all that. Oh well. I didn't eat too bad this weekend. I will get personal with everyone tomorrow. Have a great evening.

Good evening everyone,

Ricci, sounds like fun...well most of it anyway...your canoe adventure I mean! That would happen to me. As for the snake..I always say that if I die prematurely it's going to be because a spider scared teh crap out of me...like it would drop in front of my face while driving for example so I can relate!

Mel, good for you pushing Abigail! My 3yo for some reason won't ride his bike this summer so I end up pushing both boys in the stroller if I want a walk...that's about 65-70 lbs plus the weight of the double stroller As for TOPS, our group hasn't been all to inspiring either. I'm the weight recorder now and just did our quarterly report. We averaged a loss of .4 lbs per member and there are 26 of us . I lost 14.5 lbs myself...so that's not very good for an average. But, I like the weekly WI and getting out of the house for a while . I hope you find a good meeting nearby because the cost is great!

Ginny! Seems there's always a crabby one in your house...mine too Tonight it was me 'cause the boys were acting up and driving me nuts. But now all is well with them in bed . It's ME time!!!

Spryng, sorry about the phone call. Hate when that happens. I don't bake much because I can't keep my hands out of the cookie jar...or brownie pan...or cake pan...or whatever! I give you lots of credit if you can . Cool that you get to spend the night with Dh .

Michelle, enjoy the bike girlie. I love to ride, just don't get the opportunity as much as I would like for those long rides. Wow, how do you find time to do all that moderating?? Good for you !!

Kristin, sounds like you had a very busy but GOOD weekend. Good for you making those choices.

Jayme...I just had that last weekend. I just wanted to run, run, run away and never come back!! Mine are 3 and 1 and I was trying to figure out why I had ever decided to have them They were really stressing me out. How old is your sister? TOM must leave soon...maybe things will calm down some then?? Hugs to you!

Leigh...are you home yet?? This weather is all your fault .

Hi Crystal, Tricia, Di (cool off girlie), Melinda, OMG I know I'm forgetting someone...SORRY!

Have a great night and I'll talk to you later.
