Hey Ladies!

If only these posts would burn calories...... sighhh....... LOL

I have a house full of kiddos today so I will be running like crazy but I hope you are all having a great day!!!

It sounds like you all are!

Congrats on all the losses!!!!!!! :cheer:

Loveliam 07-02-2004 03:11 PM

Hi . . .

Good afternoon. I'm feeling very down today. I'm feeling very overwhelmed with disorganization and not having any real time to do anything. On top of that, I had a 12 point lunch when I really should be saving my flexpoints for this weekend's trip. I keep thinking I can organize little sections of my home the Flylady way, yet I don't have any real time to fully organze and purge stuff. Guess it's just one of those days

Everyone: thanks for the congrats on my loss.

Di- I'm glad you're still on track with the food today. As you can see, I'm not  Anyway, I'm sorry people act like you have no right to feel negative or stressed just because you went through infertility. That is absolutely not fair. Mothering one baby is stressful enough, never mind twins!

Spryng- :cheer: on the big loss!!!! Hooray for being past the plateau. Thanks for the supportive words. That thread is exactly how I feel! I bookmarked it to read after posting. I really don't know why I've been feeling so out of sorts. I think I may recommit with vigor on Monday. Thanks for the quotes :)

Penny- sounds like you're burning enough calories running after others!

Crystal - glad you're feeling a bit better today. Going to garage sales sounds like fun, fun, fun.

Kristin - ohh! I love the zoo :)

Hey, Ricci :D

Cindi - :bravo: on the huge loss - that's awesome!!! I like your challenge idea. I think I need an exercise challenge.

Hi, Ginny!

Well, I'm going to read the thread Spryng directed me to and see if it ups my inspiration. I think I'm also feeling down because we're going to get someone to come in one day a week to help me with Liam and getting other things done, but for some reason it makes me sad. I feel like the money could go toward home improvement and if I were a stronger person I could handle the baby as well as all this other stuff I have to do. TTYL.

sydsmom 07-02-2004 03:12 PM

HOLY :moo: !!!

I was gone for 2 hours and it takes me another hour to catch up to the conversation! haha! Went to the grocery store, took FOREVER for them to slice my cheese and lunch meat, my god! I was so annoyed! Came home, had lunch and put sydney down for a nap, ahh-quiet :) !!!

Ricci - nice to meet you! HOw nice you got your house picked up and your children helped! Wish I could say the same! I get the 2 year old answer still of "NO"... LOL !!!

Di - hello as well :) I envy you for being in Cali, man, it is the pits living in the midwest weather, especially smack dab in Nebraska, it snows one minute, and is 90 degrees the next! haha! Today its raining and dark out, and extrememly muggy, my hair is a mess - LOL! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and that WI monday.

Cindi - congrats on the loss! Thats awesome, I need to get my butt in gear and weigh and measure myself and start keeping track. As far as your suggestion, I'm with Di - sign me up, tell me the rules!

Spryng - Thanks for your words of encouragement, I didn't realize hw desprately I needed something like this until I found it, I have a great hubby, he isn't here all day though , and somethings men just don't get..well there is a lot that they don't get but thats another thing! :lol3:

To anyone else that I forgot or messed up your name and such, I apologize, and please feel free to straighten me out! haha! I already caught one of my dork ups earlier!

Spryng (again) - greens and beans?!?!?! Tell me more............

sydsmom 07-02-2004 03:22 PM

Leigh - Do NOT feel bad at all, its not about you getting "strong" enough to handle it. . . its about you being strong enough to deserve some help !!!!!!!!! I think my favorite day is when my mom comes and takes sydney so I can just do my own thing around the house! I get lots more done and feel like I am a better mom because of it! I feel so happy to see her when she comes home and I have accomplished something other than runnning after her and picking up toys! I felt the same way you did at first though, that I couldn't handle having one child, and what the **** am I going to do when we want more, but then I realized that I was kidding myself and being a stay at home mom is the equivalant of 2 FULL TIME JOBS! Take a day to focus on what you want to accomplish, I promise, you will feel so much better at the end of that day!

okay - well better keep busy for now, need to get this basement cleaned up while I have a fighting chance !

watkinsguru 07-02-2004 03:30 PM

Hi all, I'm back from cleaning my mom's. I've still been feeling better today, but alittle tired. Andrew hasn't slept great the past couple of nights.
You girls with one child, now don't get me wrong, having any # of kids is alot, but I think about all the time I WOULD have if I only had one. Believe me one child is alot but you should still have SOME time to do things.
Spryng, I've never used those playtex bottles, always the other kind. My well water ruined all of mine so I trashed them, hopefully by the time this baby comes, we'll be in our new house and have a great filter on that well. I hope to find alot when we go garage saling.
Well, I'm gonna rest and relax right now.

sydsmom 07-02-2004 04:06 PM

Crystal - I must agree - i don't envy you with 3 almost 4 kids. ha! I just think that it is okay to take a day and not just maintain, and really get to some extra projects, etc, that no matter how many kids you have, you can't get done! I do proably have more time since we only have one child but with church stuff, play group and helping out family, etc, etc, I find myself just maintaining the house a lot and not really getting anything "done", like my pictures all organized, or rearrange the medicine cabinet because its overflowing or going through old kids clothes that don't fit ! All of which I need to get crackin' on! ha! we first timers don't have the multi-tasking abilities of you veterans yet! Also I know that Sydney loves every other Thursday with her nana (my mom), and it kind kills 2 birds with one stone for me, time with grandparents, and I get stuff done!
You should rest, and relax, sounds like you need it! Sorry to hear about the restless nights lately!
okay now really - I GOTTA get some stuff done around here! This is addicting! :comp:

watkinsguru 07-02-2004 04:17 PM

Oh Kristin, I do agree. No matter how many kids we ALL deserve to take time for ourselves and do whatever we wish. Totally. Kids are kids are kids...haha!!

Loveliam 07-02-2004 05:12 PM

Hi, Kristin - thanks so much for the kind words. I guess you're right :) I'm feeling better now, thankfully.
Crystal - try your best to get some rest (of course easier said then done  )

Listen to this, gals. Ready for a tale of the interesting?? My mother went to a psychic and listen to part of what she was told. She brought pics of people, but she said in the pictures of Liam she made sure to bring one where he was not showing too much of his personality - like none of the giant smile pictures.

The psychic said Liam is extremely active, with a very good sense of humor and a flirtatious streak. She said he gives people little flirty looks/smiles (all true!). She said he'll be walking at 10 months. She said he will not give us any trouble as a child/person.

She also said that I will be pregnant in 6 months and we will next have a very quiet girl. She said Liam will do very well with the sibling. She also claimed we might even have more, but wasn't definite about that - just mainly that we're have a girl in our future.

So, guess we have to wait and see how accurate this is . . .

watkinsguru 07-02-2004 05:31 PM

Leigh, that's interesting of course I don't agree with the whole psychic thing. But I suppose that's interesting. Hope all goes well.

Loveliam 07-02-2004 06:27 PM

Crystal - I know - I'm not sure how much I believe, though from lots of other things she told my mother, she was very accurate - like about the death of my mother's boyfriend and all. It's weird.

ECmom 07-02-2004 06:57 PM

Ah, what a wonderful afternoon........kids a crabbin......hubby in one of his attila the hun moods.......does'nt get much better than this!! Thankfully, he and Dd are wrapped up in softball all weekend. And hopefully, then they will get rid of the nervous jitters or whatever is buggin them and life will be peaceful. (Dd and Dh are very similar personalities- they feed off each other).
Sorry for not getting personal......had to vent. Enjoy your weekend.

I try to do Walk away the lbs every morning which is 3 miles and hope to add weight training to it but since I havren't worked out for a while I seems getting through the 3 miles is tuff enough.
I am also doing the Wendy Plan which is like flex points from weight watchers is anyone else doing that program.
Well I don't know what else to write so I will close for now.

Have a great day everyone

spryng 07-02-2004 07:45 PM

Good evening all!

Well I didn't plan on going anywhere today but at nap time I couldn't sleep so I took a nice hot shower, felt refreshed and all that so I put on makeup and did my hair so I had to go somwhere! LOL... so I went grocery shopping and got dinner. But don't worry, I'm still 100% OP, lol. The greens and beans went into the fridge for lunches this week. I also went and rented two workout videos. One is called The Grind, it's an intense aerobic and weight training workout with MTV music, sounds interesting and the other is a sculpt and strength yoga video. I've never done yoga so I hope it for beginners. But I thought that would give me variety until tuesday. I was really dissapointed with their workout video selection. I thought they'd have more but they only had two other ones besides the two I got, one was another yoga one and Anna Korikova (sp?) one. Oh and I think there was a Tony Little Abs one... maybe I'll get that one next time.

Welcome Angel!! (btw, what is your real name??) I am Spryng (pronounced spring like the season) mother of 3. 4, 3, and 1 yo. How are you liking the wendie plan?? I too am on WW!! I did try the wendie plan once but I hated being stuck with certain pts everyday. But I love ww, I hit my goal in April and am working on my personal goal now. There are several of us doing ww here so you'll feel right at home.

Ginny hope your dd and dh get into a better mood soon!

Leigh now I am interested in finding out if that psychic is true! Are you trying for another baby anytime soon? I'm so afraid of those people, I just know the day I go to one they will tell me I'll die in two days or something and I'd rather not know. LOL... parnoid! Did that ww thread inspire you any? I didn't get a chance to read all of it.

Kristin, I agree getting things done with kids is very hard whether you have one or 10! I'm sure things get easier as they get older because then they can have chores!! Did you want the recipe to those greens and beans or were you joking about it? lol, I couldn't tell. :)

Penny, hope you get some quiet time in today.

Well I guess I will get off here now and find something to do. Today has been a bust on housework. I got my dishes done and that is about it. But I did just buy a new mop head and some lysol so I can mop tonight (maybe ,lol) Well... gotta go, TTYL!
