Carol-Ouch!! Take care of that hand! Isn't XP great? I have it on my computer at school. The only problem is it takes so long to print anything out, especially excel spreadsheets. Good luck with learning it, I still am!

I've been bad this weekend. I haven't done much work in the house and the living room is still a mess. I just wanted a couple of days of rest before going back to work. I'm still waiting on Mike to edge the ceiling. I might have to end up doing it myself. I want to get this room back together before I go back on Thursday. I'm going to wait to do the kitchen until this weekend, since I have Monday off.

Dee-I certainly hope you aren't weeding! Congratulations on Dez's graduation. I know that she has come a long way. I really miss you joining me on the exercise thread. I am up to 130 miles this month! I may end up with 140 or 150. I went 11 this morning because the weather was so nice at 6:30 when I went out. By the time I got home it was hot though.

Sherry-I don't know how you are keeping up this pace. I have only done 2 rooms and am totally pooped!

Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do with my french doors to keep from seeing through them. They go from the living room into the "exercise/ catch all room" and I would like to for the time being be able to keep the room rather messy until I can go through everything, but I don't want it to be able to be seen. I wish I knew how to do stained glass, because I would do that to them. I used to have curtains on them, but you could still see through them, since they were lacy. I need to do something cheaply, of course.

I moved all of my Lizzie High dolls to the fireplace, along with some collectible bears and Sheila houses. I used to have family pictures all over it, but I am going to weed through them and move them to the table behind one of the couches. The fireplace is in the corner next to the french doors that I am talking about. I still have so many collectible plates to hang, along with a couple of paintings and prints.

Shelley - They make contact paper that turns regular glass into frosted glass. It's pretty cheap - only about $6 a roll. You can find it at any home store and sometimes it's even at Wal-Mart. It's also easy to do.

Wanda-I have been on WW for a couple of years (maintenance now.) To me, it is the healthiest WOE. We have a challenge thread where we post our menus. I was the only one posting on a daily basis, so I stopped! If you want to join me, I'll start again. I really need to journal again. I was doing well until about 2 weeks ago, when I stopped journaling. I always do well on WW when I am journaling. You don't have to join. Sherry and I do it on our own. Some of the others are on Atkins. It all depends on what you think that you can stick with. I can't stick with the low carb thing. I have to eat my breads, pastas and no fat frozen stuff!

I'm back!!!!!!! It was a wild and crazy weekend and I survived! We came back a day early, the other guys offered to stay so we could get back home and get settled in. We would of stayed, but they had a major rain come through and water was standing everywhere, in fact, the town was under a flood warning until 6:00 last evening. We seen many singers, my favorites were Clay walker and Brooks & Dunn. Last night was to be the Steve Miller band, I haven't heard yet if it was rained out.

Shelley, if you go to a craft store or even walmart in the craft section, you will find some stuff put out by Plaid called Gallery glass. It looks like stained glass when you are finished and it is even great for the beginner! Think of an outlined, raised image, then you just fill in with liquid color and let dry, very simple! Once it is placed on the glass, it will stay, but can also be easily removed and placed elsewhere. At one time, all they offered was the liquid leading, but now you can get preformed designs and shaped to create some unique and pretty stuff. It isn't very expensive either.

Carol, please take care of your burn!!!!! Whenever we get a burn, I use a small amount of vineagar, it seems to take the heat out. Please remember to use an antibiotic cream and dress the blisters.

Dee, thank goodness you are scheduled for an MRI!!!! I hope they find what is causing you pain. I love English looking flower gardens and wildflowers. One of my favorite flowers is Larkspur. I have Rose moss planted all around my rock area of the pond. My water lilys and cattails in the pond are blooming this week! I'm sorry I was away through the planning of Dezs graduation! Tell her I am VERY PROUD of her! Will she be staying in a dorm?

Doni, I am thrilled to hear about your weight loss! You go girl! It seemed to really help with changing Brians hours. Nice to hear from you.

Sherry, post pics soon!

Ramona, how are you? I miss reading your messages.

Vickster, I am happy you had a nice birthday and your mom was able to sing to you. That will be a memory you will cherish forever. You mentioned the theatre? What will you be seeing? What is Cara's plans since she graduated?

Wanda, glad to have you back!!! I lost the most part of my weight by cutting out sugar and making healthy food choices, I then tried a few other plans to get the last 10 pounds or so off. Through frustration, laziness, stress and poor eating and exercising habits I have now regained all I lost! So, now with everything HOPEFULLY settling down, I am back to the original way of losing the weight. It worked before, so it should work again if I can keep my mouth shut!

Cheryl, miss your sense of humor here on the board.

Jennelle, I hope your enjoying your summer!

Deb, are you out there????

Well, I should go ~~~ I promise to be back here now on a regular basis with hopefully, a better attitude. I decided why should I make everyone else suffer through my bouts of depression. :-)

LOVE YA!!!!! Gayle

Good Mornin'

Guess What???!!!! We are ALL moved in!!!!!!!!!!! Everything is cleaned, painted and ALL put up!!!! It looks soooooooo nice!!! I can't believe it's all over!! I am one tired lady! If we hadn't of been done I really think I would have ended up in the hospital. Either by exhastion or in a mental hospital!

Last night we didn't have TV or phone here at the new house. Wayne & I were too tired to even "intertain one another!" We were sound alseep at 10:30!! This morning when I got up I saw where the phone has been turned on sometimes this early this morning. Now I can catch-up on all my emails. The cable guy will be here between 1-5 today to set a new dish up.

Gayle....
Are you home yet? How was it? I hope you got to rest and enjoy it but knowing you, you were hot and worked too hard! Post soon, I miss you!!!

Wanda,
I'm so glad to see a post from you & hear that you're back!!! Wow...We really need to play catch-up! What's Rachel doing now? Is she still living at home or is she still in Ala? Where did you meet this new love in your life? I can't wait to hear everything that's been going on. I'm so happy that you got rid of that "x"!!!! He was NO good. You sound so happy & I'm so happy for you! I've missed you!!

Shelley,
Your home sounds like it's turning out so pretty. It's hard work huh???? I wouldn't do it all over again for NOTHING!! LMAO!! I told Wayne we would never move again....We would die here! LOL! I'm sorry you have to go back to work Thursday. I wish you had more time off.

Dee,
How do you feel today? I can't wait for you to have the MRI and get some help! WTG for Dez!!!!! Man, She's came a long ways!! What a turn-a-round for her! Give her a big hug from me. I know you're so proud of her! I think my favorite flowers in my yard right now (That Mom set out) are the daisies. They are beautiful!

Jennelle,
I haven't seen "Super Size Me" but have heard good things about it. I'll probably wait until it comes out on video. We hardly ever go to the movies. We rather stay home and rent one. BTW: When do you have to go back to school? I go back Aug. 11th...Kids go back the 16th.

Debbie,
Well it's all done. I'm a "FREE" woman now!! Hopefully I'll be able to enjoy the rest of my summer now. I deserve to do nothing the next 4 weeks until we go back to school. Did you weigh-in today? You've done so good and I'm so proud of you. You've really hung in there getting the weight off!

Doni,
I bet it has helped you with loosing weight with Brian changing his hours at work. My Mom never had a weight problem until years ago when she worked the 2nd shift. She would get off at midnight, come home, eat and go to bed. Her days & nights were mixed up and she gained over the years. I'm so proud of you. Keep it coming off!!

Carol,
I'm sorry to hear about your burns! Ouch! Take care of those fingers and keep them wrapped up.Hopefully they feel better this a.m. I got your email this morning and will write you back later today.I know you'll love your new computer. I got a new one a couple of weeks ago too. Mine crashed and I didn't want to put another dime into it. It's Windows XP also and it's so fast!! I love the flat screen!

Vicki,
Sounds like you had a great birthday. You're lucky that your hubby buys you things. Wayne says.."Here's some money, Go buy you something!" But he does mean well!

Ramona,
How are you sweetie? How's your Dad? I'm so glad you're getting emails from Dan! That is so nice to keep in contact. Everytime I hear on the TV that another American soilder has been killed I get cold chills. I can imagine how you feel when you hear that! As a Mom of two there, I don't really know how you cope! I think about you & those boys EVERYDAY!!

Tina & Cheryl.....Hope you are doing great & staying OP.

I hope I didn't leave anyone out! Have a great OP day!!!!

BTW: I weighed this morning. I worked & sweated off 2 more lbs!!!! The scales showed 168!!!!

HUGS.............

But I tell you, I NEED ALL OF MY FRIENDS DESPERATELY!!

WTG Sherry on your 2 lb loss!! Keep it up. I will have to hurry to "catch up with you now!"

Morning Ladies!!!

It is so nice to be missed and loved.

Sherry...I'm so happy for you that everything is finsihed. AND I have missed ya!! Can't wait to see you new home!!! WTG on the 2 pounds!! I know that came off the hard way. Looking forward to seeing you on the 4th!! If Wayne is off Monday, maybe you can sleep over.

Doni...WTG on the weight lost!! Sounds like things are going pretty good with you, I'm so glad.

Gayle...Glad you survived your {wild} weekend. I know it was a lot of fun for you , even with the rain. You needed a getaway!! Good luck on whatever weight-loss program you choose.

Carol.....Hope your fingers are better this morning. OUCH!! I know burns are terrible. I can see you typing with one finger today...LOL. Listen about this weight thing...YOU HAVE done this before and was great at it!! Much better than most of us. SO I know you can do it!! We watched all that weight just fall right off you. All you need is to get is through the first few days and it will get easier....I promise!! I'll do anything thing I can to help!!

Wanda...WANDA!! I love ya girl!!! So glad you are BACCCCKK!!! I'm like Sherry, I want all the details about this new guy!!! I'm so happy for you, that you have found someone special. I'm still doing the Adkins thing!!! But I do add some fruits about once or twice a week. Post again soon.

Shelley....You and Sherry make me so tired reading your posts...LOL. There is so much work to do outside in the summer, guess the house will have to wait until fall. But I do need to redo my bath and bedroom.

Ramona...How are you doing? Have you hear from the boys lately? You said your Dad was a wonderful cook. No one in my family even knew my Dad could cook until Mom got sick. He surprised us all...LOL.

Jennelle.....What are doing for the rest of your summer? It's going by way too fast for me.

Vicki...Sounds like you had a wonderful birthday. Any special plans for the 4th?

Dee....I'm so glad that you have a MRI scheduled. Hopefuly you can get the results right away. Tell Dez all her Floozie Moms are so proud of her!!

Got to get busy. We loaded up all the junk around here over the weekend and guess who gets to take it to the dump. Guess if you work like a man, your man expects it of you.

Hope everyone has a great day.... Deb

Sherry and Debbie were asking about my summer plans, and Debbie is right: it's going by WAY too fast!! I will be going down to the school on Wednesday to pick up my check (we don't have direct deposit AND we only get paid once a month...feels like I'm teaching on Little House on the Prairie or something! ) and start working on my classroom. They were supposed to pull out the ratty old indoor/outdoor carpet at the beginning of June, so I'm hoping to arrive to freshly tiled and waxed floors.

School here starts on August 5. I have to report on August 2! I also have four days in July where I have to be in Oxford, MS for an introduction to the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards curricula. I'm shooting for my national board certification this year. It's like getting a master's degree in nine months. Truthfully, I don't think I'll get it my first time up, mainly because I have the least amount of experience (three years) they will allow. I mainly want to do it so I can have a mentor teacher!

Debbie-Funny you should mention the dump! I hurt myself this morning lifting a 70 lb. piece of equipment onto a wagon to take down to the trash. Now I can hardly move. I took a muscle relaxer right after and it helped a tiny bit. Luckily, it happened after I did my run this morning. I have so much to do and now this is going to set me back.

Carol-You have been an inspiration to all. You can do this!! Why not join us over at the exercise thread and do some walking, biking or anything else that you might like to do. One thing that I know, even if I eat wrong, I have still done my exercise and it helps add a few points to my daily intake.

Sherry-I can't wait to see pictures of your house. You deserve now to rest, rest, rest!! If I know you, though you will be cleaning come this weekend!!

Gayle-Thanks for the idea. I am not an artist though, so I don't know of what I could paint. I wish you were here to paint your beautiful flowers on the windows! Mike suggested putting wood flooring over the windows. That sounds like something that a man would think of! How ugly would that be??

Congratulations to everyone that has lost weight this past week and to those that plan on losing soon!

Shelley, no artistic talent needed! You just fill in the pre-designed shapes with liquid color, much like staying in the lines of a coloring book! All of the artwork is already done for you. PLEASE take it easy! What the heck were you doing lifting a piece of 70 pound equipment??? You are so tiny, you should never think of such a thing...ok, enough of my scolding. :-)

Shelley...I hope you are alright. 70 pounds is too heavy for a woman to lift!!

My trip to the dump seemed to an interesting one for me. There was two men unloading their truck and offered to unload the trailer for me...SO I LET THEM!!!
Katelyn was with me and asked why those men were talking to me. Can't wait to tell James that women can get the job done...One way or the other...LOL

Good Evening Everyone!

Gayle: I am totally motivated today too! Lets do this.. I would love to start fresh with you. I too swore I would never gain my weight back, but I am already looking at a 30lb gain and don't want to add the rest.. I am going to do the Atkins thing. At least for awhile. I think it will help me to lose quickly, at least initially and I need to do that because I let myself go for too long and what clothes I can get into (and that isn't many) are all too tight and the rest... well.... no way I can get in them. I am going to post on the challenge threat with info on meals and/or journalling. Come join me!!

EVERYONE COME JOIN ME!!!

Debbie: WTG on getting help unloading the junk!!! Those pounds lost are really looking good on you!!! and thanks so much for the words of inspiration.. I can feel it.... I am going to get back OP and stay there....

Sherry: We have all missed you soooo very much... I would definately love to to see your new home!!! Debbie is right, I bet that 2 pounds came off the hard way... but boy we will still celebrate it!!!

Doni: Keep it up with the great weight lost!! Life sounds great with you.... I am happy things are going well.

Wanda: Jump right back in here and lets lose those pounds!!! A new guy in your life... WTG

Shelley: You would think all the work you and Sherry have done lately would inspire me to do some of those repairs and/or add a fresh new look to my home.... but noooooo. You gals made me so tired listening to you and how tired and sore you were that I don't want to even start... But I am proud of you two!! Sounds like the ideas for the windows are great... You will find what you think looks best for you... But take it easy girl. No more lifting heavy objects!!!

Ramona: Where are you and how are you? How are the boys doing? How is your Dad? So many questions.... I know.... Just thinking of you!

Jennelle: Summer seems to be fading fast already doesn't it!!! I am sure we all feel it. Hope they got your flooring done for you. I only get paid once a month too!! Sometimes it gets a little hard stretching out that last week or so before the next payday!!

Vicki Great party. What wonderful presents.. Singing from your mom...What more could a person ask for except to be around the ones they love. Glad it was so great for you!

Dee: I can hardly wait until you get that MRI. Hopefully you can get to the root of your problem and get it taken care of real soon now!!

Tina and Cheryl: ... come out and play with us!!

I am glad to report that my fingers were much much better this morning. I have large blisters between the first and second joints below the fingernails on my middle and ring fingers of my left hand. I keep releasing the fluid but it comes back. But at least it isn't hurting me anymore. I am being very careful not to scrape that top layer of skin off and expose the under side. Now that might really hurt!! At least I had the foresite to take off my rings before it started swelling & blistering..... Thanks to everyone who was concerned..

I am looking forward to getting back OP and staying there... so lets get to it... so far I have been 100% today!

Have a great OP evening ladies!!
