Default Atlanta Morning

Good morning! I've been peeking at the scale and will probably lose a pound at my WI tomorrow. I didn't work out as much as usual this week, which might be why it's not my normal 2lbs. Also, this is my 7th week, so I wonder if I'm creeping toward a dreaded plateau???? It will be interesting to see what happens in the next few weeks.

Melinda- when JW says Da-da, does he know who he's talking about? That's very cute. I'm glad your food amount is working better for you.

Spryng- I'm glad you enjoyed Cold Mountain. That's true - maybe the success story woman has a lot of muscle.

Geri- hee hee hee - yes, I meant at the relative's home, not all of WI We arrive on Saturday and leave on Monday. I love your flower bed!

Michelle- glad the interview went well - I'm sending positivbe thoughts your way!

Okay, I need to get things under control before we leave for our walk in a half-hour. Talk with you later this morning!

Good morning all!

Michelle, thank you so much for your replies about the exercise dilemma! And I printed out those tidbits on exercise you posted, they really hit the spot when it comes to my thinking about working out. I'm going to hang it on the fridge so I can look at it everyday, but my favorite one is Excercise done occasionally does little... I know that only getting in one workout every two weeks or so isn't helping reshape my body, I need to get it in at least 3x's a week.. preferably more. So I'm going to wholeheartedly work on that because another one that made sense was Exercise done to please others is work.. and I guess that is what I have been doing. I have been trying so hard to lose this weight and tone this body in part for me (it really has helped my body image issues and self esteem) but I have also been doing it for me DH, so he will think I am pretty and young and all that and not just a wife and mother of 3, you know? and also to prove to the rest of his family you can lead a healthy lifestyle and not let yourself go after marriage and having kids because I'm smaller than all of them now and that makes me happy too in a twisted kind of way, LOL. But I'm working on all of that and that list helps alot so thank you!!

Crystal, I never heard of barley green, I hope it does what you said and if so I may have to get some for myself! You can never have too much energy! I'm looking forward to hearing all about your doc appointment!!!

Leigh, I may peek at the scale today too! LOL... I have no idea how my weight has done this week, I haven't even so much as looked at the scale but now I'm curious, lol. Enjoy your walk!

Well it's pouring down rain today, I'm glad I didn't have any errands to do, I'm just staying home enjoying the sounds of nature. Not sure what is for dinner tonight. Kinda leaning towards the broccoli and chicken soup, just sounds comforting with some whole grain rolls. But I may end up having fish. Not sure yet.
ok, I just peeked at the scale too! LOL... and I am very very suprised with what I saw!!! And sooo excited! Now I can't wait until tomorrow to post my results!
gonna go do something in this house, TTYL!

Good Morning!!

Man I am so tired today we had a huge storm last night with really loud thunder and really bright lightening which is pretty uncommon for this part of Montana so needless to say I didn't get a very good sleep last night.

Crystal let us know how the appointment with your doctor goes. Also hun, please check with your doctor about taking any sort of supplement while you are pregnant some of these supplements out nowadays aren't approved by the fda and aren't good for pregnant women. I don't want to sound like I'm beating a dead horse here I just want you to know that I'm concerned for you and your new precious life in your belly. Ok I'm off my lol

Leigh - Any plans today? I have to work quite a bit this month as it is summer season and very busy but I like it. Two of the girls at work invited me out to comedy night on friday, I'm so excited cuz I don't ever go out anywhere! Woo Hoo!!

Spryng - How you doin lady?

Geri - Wazzzuppp?? lol

Penny - :P

Di - I think it was you that asked about body for life, I like it a lot its wonderful, and I even peeked at the scale today and was happy with what I saw

Melinda - Yes I live in a tourist driven community as we are just out side the western entrance to Glacier National Park. So summers are very busy for this town.

Ok well I'm off to play with the kiddos.
Love to all!
Michelle

Spryng, I'm so happy that you found those little pointers helpful. You'll get into the swing of it, I know you will!!

Hang in there!

Geri- The flowers are beautiful. Are they some kind of lily? I am so bad at getting pic posted. I need to get some new ones.

Michelle - Some good thoughts on exercise. That is one thing that I am good with. I do it for myself and no other. The eating part is the more tempting for me.

Spryng - I know what you mean about being thinner than the family. My mom is Vietnamese, so that is a hard one to work on. I will just strive to be the healthiest one in the family.

Leigh - JW does not know what he is saying. Just da-da all the time. I think Liam might know the ma-ma because you are with him everyday and he hears you saying it. I think he is beg to understand the word NO.

Crystal - I am with Michelle, get your dr advice. I hope all is well at the appt.

We made it to the gym this morning and JW is sleeping. I will probably get a bike ride this evening. My new plan has me having a Protein, Starch, 2 Veggies and Fruit three times a day with skim milk in the am. Then two snacks with LA Lite (soup, shake, bar. etc.) and Fruit. It always sounded like so much food. I think the problem was that I never really follow it bc I thought it was too much and in effect my body needs the food and has halted my weight loss. I am no dietican but those are my thoughts for today.

Have a great Thursday! I should probably relax. Family from both sides will be in town so we will be busy all weekend.

Hi!
Crystal- can't wait to hear about your appointment

Spryng- hi! I am sure you will come to some sort of decision about how mmuch and how often exercise works for you. Dinner here is going to be Jerk Steak and corn on the cob - DH will be home for dinner *hooray*

Michelle- I'm sorry you're still tired I'm glad you enjoy getting out of the house a bit - I'm sure it does wonders for your mental health and then you're an even better mommy for it. I hope you get a nap in today

I've just joined a book club and I'm very excited. One of our friends invited me to join hers - the book we're next discussing is Naked by David Sedaris. I read one other book of his and it was very funny, so I hope this one is too. Also, since DH is gone a lot, we're looking into hiring someone to come in once a week for a few hours so I can go to appointments, run errands, etc. Having a Boca Burger for lunch - have togo do some laundry now - TTYL -

Melinda- missed you! I think it's great that you're enjoying the bike so much. That's wonderful. I do think you're right - I've heard that eating too little can mess up your metabolism and halt weight loss. So, hope you're enjoying all that food

Morning Chicks!

I, too, peeked at my scale and was quite happy. I keep thinking that I am having a hard time getting past this point I am at...but I DID gain 3 that I already lost plus some, so I guess that's a good loss for a week. I am not doing as well as I could be if I were strict on myself, but I am just not. Oh well...

Michelle...I liked the exercise quotes, those were very motivating.

Ricci...I don't blame you for waiting til later to exercise with that numb mouth.

Spryng...Dinner here is going to be some kind of Talipia recipe. I have a couple to choose from. I will probably do potatoes of some kind and a veggie or two with it. You have me very curious to see your weigh in results tomorrow!

Leigh...it is so exciting when they start talking. Christian is really beginning to speak clearly and it's so cool to KNOW what he is saying. But he repeats EVERYTHING!!!! So we have to keep that in consideration. Jerk Steak sounds spicy. Bet my dh would love it.

Melinda...WTG on the gym already! You ROCK!!!

gotta go, Christian is making a mess without a diaper on...AAAAAAACK!!!

Hello again!

Just couldn't stay away long, lol.

Ricci, so sorry about those filling. I HATE dentists and can't even remember the last time I've been to one. Well, I guess I was 14-15... somewhere in there. I wore braces for 4 years (yikes!) and hated everything to do with teeth after that. I take very good care of mine but I know I should make an appointment someday.

Leigh, you are right. I will come to some arrangement with myself on exercise. I just have to find something that I like to do and stick with it. I do like my bootcamp dvd and my Firm dvd's so I'm doing those for now. I was thinking about hitting a bigger movie rental place and renting a couple different workout videos so I could get variety each week. I may do that tomorrow. You'll have to let us know how that jerk steak comes out, sounds interesting. I decided on honey bbq salmon, I've got the fish thawing out right now. A book club sounds right up my alley! That would be so much fun! You'll have to keep us updated on the club and how the book is. Do you meet once a week? How long do you have to complete the book?

Melinda, I think being the healthiest one in the family is a great thing, I want that too and in so many ways I'm the only healthy one in this family and my kids are very healthy too. They never got colds over winter and they missed out on that terrible flu going round and I contribute all of it to how they eat. They love vegetables though so it's not hard to keep them eating healthy.

Michelle, comedy night sounds like fun! Boy I feel like my town is way behind on the times, with all your MOMS groups, TOPS groups, book clubs, comedy clubs, etc... there is NOTHING to do here. The perils of living in a little no name town in kansas, lol.

Well, I haven't did too much this morning. I did get me a healthy breakfast in. I usually just eat a nutra grain banna muffin bar (3pts) but I ate the last one yesterday so I actually cooked today! LOL. I had 1/2 cup garden vegetable egg beaters (1pt) 1 morningstar farms sausage pattie (1pt) and 2 slices wheat toast with sugar free smuckers strawberry jam on them (1 pt for both) so a filling 3 pt breakfast! I should be full until mid afternoon. Then I got my kitchen cleaned up, some laundry going and now I'm resting. I guess I can work on my zone for this week. TTYL!

Hi, Ricci- hope the mouth feels better soon!

Cindi - on the loss!!!!!! WTG. Yeah, Jerk steak is spicy - it's a new recipe so I'll have to let you know how it turns out.

Have any of ya'll tried Western Bagel's Alternative Bagel? It's lower in fat/calories and very high in fiber - it would only be 1 or 2 points for a whole bagel! I wonder how it tastes though - do any of you know?

Hello Ladies.

I just wanted to check in really quick and say "howdy" The bad news, things have been really rough, being a mommy. The boys are just throwing temper tantrums left and rightand there is absolutely no pleasing them. The good news is; I've been OP and I'm not going to cave in.

Sorry i don't have long to post and get personal, I hear them screaming downstairs so I gotta run.

hugs to you all,
Di

And another question! Sorry - I swear I'll stop posting after this
I'm kind of red-meat illiterate. I got bottom round steak thin sliced for tonight's meal - there are three pieces, 3 oz. each. If I have one 3 oz. piece - does that count as "lean" serving of beef or is it a regular serving of beef? Trying to figure out the points value - thanks!

Leigh
