Thank goodness the weekend is over!
As far as food goes anyhow!
Saturday was fine. I didhave acouple of glasses of wine but not out of control.
Yesterday was a corn roast at the inlaws farm. There were NO< ZERO<ZIP< ZILCH good food choices. I brought cucumber and grapes wiht me. I am mad at myself cause I ate everything there, some seconds and I didn't even really like it.Silly!!!
Today is new day. I feel gross. I am eating lots of fresh fruit and veg today!!
I hope I will have a loss on wed ,when I weigh in after yesterday!
I have been cleaning all morning. The kids are all playing well. It is a glorious, crisp ,sunny day out there!!
Hope everyone is doing well!!

Hi Holly,
Don't beat yourself up for overdoing at the reunion. One day of that will not cause a true weight gain. It's when we don't get it back under control that we run into problems. You have it back under control, so you will do fine!

I sort of had an off day yesterday myself. I woke up with a sore throat and I just didn't eat well yesterday. I had ice cream a lot yesterday. Because of my IC, when I have a sore throat or something like that, I can't have hot tea like I used to, or popsicles. It makes it hard to pick something that will make me feel better and won't be fattening.

I'm feeling better today. I slept most of the day yesterday.

Stay on plan...you will be ok!

Susie

I WAS having a great day and then the sun went behind a cloud and the weather shifted and my head is pounding.
I have eaten well the last 2 days.I weigh in on Wednesdays. It would be very nice to see a loss!

Susie~I hope you are an the mend and the throat is better. Can you have the ice milks or sorbets? Not as much fat.Hope you are having a good day.

Hi Holly: Good luck on the weigh-in today! Hopefully the scales will be good to you!

I am feeling better today. I got a Z-pack yesterday and started on it. I'm going to head to the Y tonight for my first workout since Friday. I'm planning on a walk and then a little bit of weight-lifting with light weights.

How's everyone else doing? Haven't seen many people on the board....

WE MISS YOU!!

I had a bad evening foodwise. I ate a lot of hummus and then a whole tub of cottage cheese. My stomach ached.
In ther past I would have eaten a whole box of crackers too BUT it was horrible. I am upset with myself.
I think I sabotaged my weighin.

Glad you are feeling better Susie.

I am new to this site. I am currently doing the South Beach Diet. I have lost a total of 14 pounds, but have put a few back on. I am also trying an exercise I saw in Women's World called Chicometrics. Hopefully it works. I just started it yesterday! I am 20 years old, and need to lose some weight. Diabetes runs in my family and I have noticed that I have a few of the early warning signs so I decided it's time to do something. This site looked like a good place to get some of the support that I need. As soon as I get to 199, I am going to go treat myself to a few new outfits!

StephiPoo: Welcome to the board. I think I can speak for everyone and say that we are glad to have you! It's been sort of slow week here on the board; hopefully it will pick up soon! This is a good place for motivation and encourgement.

You have chosen some good reasons to lose weight and you are smart for trying to get a handle on it while you are young! Keep working your plan..it will get you the results you want.

Holly: Don't freak out about that little binge. I think it takes 3500 calories to gain a pound, so I bet you didn't do that much damage.

Hollyhock 08-18-2004 04:15 PM

Welcome StephiPoo!!
Good luck with staying on track!

It is not just 1 little binge. I ate very badly at the inlaws on Sunday.Potato & mac salad, hotdogs, cake.........we had pizza last Fri.I didn't over do that but I am upset about it all added together.
I had my first losses in a long time the last 2 weeks.I feel like I have let myself down.
Today has been only alright. Not horrific.I have had too many fats but not too many carbs.I guess I will go and face the scale tonight. sigh

Hope everyone else is well.

Welcome Vanessa and good luck.

I just ate an OP breaky and as I was clearing the table for the kids I ALMOST ate my daughters left over toast. It seems such a waste to throw it out! Why is this so hard? I know what I need to do.
I will not eat off plan. I will not binge. I will only give myself nourishing food.

Hello Everyone. I just turned 39 about a month ago and it hit me in the face that next year I'll be 40. I do not want to be 40 and fat. I weigh about 250. Do you think I can get to 199 by next July? I have been struggling since Monday to get into a comfortable groove with eating. Following WW, I have been going over in points everyday despite effort. It has been a good thing to see so adjustments can be made. I have been looking around for a supportive environment and find all of you to be very inspirational.
Holly- It is very hard, isn't it? It's a mystery to me how I can want something so bad but push it away so easily.

Welcome Suzy.
We are the same age.I turned 39 on July 21. It is weird ,only in that it sounds so grown up. I dont feel that different as a person than I did 15 years ago.My 94 year old Grandma says that she still feels about 25 and is shocked to see an old woman in the mirror.

Have you tried fitday.com ?
you can log in your stats and goal weight and date and it will tell what you need to lose a week etc.

I hva eaten an OP lunch and I have not nibbled on naughty stuff. I am really struggling today but I WILL do it!!!

New to the site and want to join the "race"

Hey everyone,

I am luvin' this site!!!
I have been over 200 for the past 3-4 years...and I'm sick of it. I went through a divorce in 2001 and the weight piled on around that time. I'm 5'9" and currently weigh 230. I wear a size 16-18 and I want to be in a size 12 so that I can enjoy shopping again. When i wore a size 12 before I was 160-170 lbs. It takes a lot of weight for me to go down even one size...
I've been eating to better support the way my metabolism works---working with it instead of against it. I just can't totally give up sweets, but I don't eat my bag of M&M's after mid-day. I do Power Walking 5 days a week for 45 minutes...about a 14 minute mile.

Thanks for the welcome, Holly. Welcome Peace. And Good Morning to All. Yesterday was the first day since Monday that I was able to stay within my program despite efforts on the other days. I feel good about that because maybe that groove will finally hit.
Peace- You have a great start there with the exercise.
Holly- What is the program you follow? I hope you got past your struggles and had a good day.
Suzy
