  • Girlie- on Mon and Tues I work on call for a Profesional Organizer. Like the Clean Sweep show. And Wed-Fri I am hairdressing aftewr a ten year break. A funky shop in a small town 10 min from here. Still selling Avon too.
Hubby has been stepping up quite a bit. Surprising but welcome.
I have been losing weight again steady since Dec. My marriage came as close to ending as possible and i made some HUGE changes for myself and the kids....we seem to be thru the eye of the needle. Many lingering feelings for me that I am working thru.

    Life is okay tho.
  • Holly - glad you're hanging in there!
  • Hi Ya Ladies....

This week is much better. Feeling better, altho a bit constipated and working on getting that going. Kinda giving me a gut ache.

Man do things change after this surgery. Still at 40 lbs down but think that is cause I cannot potty.

Holly, you ROCK, I am so proud of you all the time. You are so organized and always busy.

Girlie...so glad to see ya sista.

    Deb...what's going on with you?

Susie...how's the job. Hang in there.

    Jiggly and UPS-stop in....

    Take care all.

    Hugs

    Annie
  • Oh Annie- I am not feeling like I rock. My little guy has some big issues, always has. Ditto for DH. It is soooooooooo hard sometimes.
The hair job was great today. Need to whip up supper so the boys can go to hockey.
Avon order to add on to tonight. Dishes and Bills to do!! AND I dol to watch. It will be nice just us girls at home.
  • Still here... and fighting everyday. not much time to stop in and read. Hope Everyone is doing good.

Getting the exercise in has been good...seeing a difference in inches... hoping to see a small difference in the scale on Monday!
  • Hey friends,
Sorry it's been so long since I've posted. This is our busy week. I'm very glad its over.
I worked out 4x this week... It's been several months, but I feel better already. I like this new place. The owner is a WW leader. It's nice having her around more than once a week.

Annie: Glad you are doing better. All changes take time but that is a big one so be kind to yourself.

Holly: Kiddo's will do great you'll see... DH ...WELL!! The jury still out on that one..LOL. I tell mine all the time I always love him but I don't always like him.

Girlie: Sounds like your doing well. We can get to onderland. It just seems like life keeps getting in our way.

Later, I need to bathe dog before it gets too late.
  • I found a very interesting and somewhat inspring amount of information while searching to see what the Army thinks my weight should be....

It was the Army's Wright Loss Program (what they give overweight soldiers). The US Military is usually known for breaking down people so they can mold and shape people their way (sorry if this offends any military people), so I was really surprised to find inspiration in an Army document.

It had information on what your current weight caloric needs are, what your ideal weight needs are, and how much you could lose based on how much you cut out. It had some inspiring phrases (to me) like "Excess body weight connotes a lack of personal disciplpine". That rang so true because I can run an ER and save lives in crutial moments, but I can't control what I shove in my mouth??? Ridiculous, and that's why I am changing.

It also had suggestions on how to limit calories, what pitfalls are out there. And basically, at the end of the day, weight loss happens when you decrease your calories in, or increase calories burned, or both.

I don't know the site, but if you google "army weight height" that's how I found it. I think it is worth viewing, if not printing. For anyone who needs some straight forward ideas...
  • Super, We are glad you are here.
Congrats on being good for 2 days. This is like any other changes in life. Take them one day at a time. I know thats old but it is still true. I wake up every morning and start over fresh. Sometimes because I messed up yesterday..but a slip up is no reason to give up.
  • Hey Friends,
Nearly op today, I was doing well til DS gave me his biscuit from the fast food chicken he brought home. NO WILL POWER!! But it was good.
I did work out today. probably not near enough to cover even the biscuit.
Well! heck! The scale will tell the story tomorrow night.

    Everyone have a great day..
  • Good Morning!!!

There is a weak sun shining thru the trees. I slept 9 hours.
In counselling on Sunday I was told to take a day off. No computer ,no housework,no laundry, no cooking nothing but hanging out. Has any woman/wife/mom ever actually done this????

Right now I would love to go and lallygag in bed, watch some tv,read, doze, play with the kitties, take a bath..................
BUT I need to feed the kids, clean the kitchen, do laundry, pack Avon..............
I will give myself til 9:30 to start so I can veg a bit. And i will watch my soaps this aft. It’s been 6 weeks. No plans tonight either. I did for others ALL weekend long too. I was alone Sunday aft so thtt was nice and I did go for counselling which is good but I wouldn’t call it pleasant. She is tough on me. No wiggling around issues. Holda me accountable. Asks tough questions and keeps asking till I answer honestly. All in a very kind, professional way.
My neck has been stiff for weeks. Now my chest muscles hurt from lifting yesterday.
If i can peel the kids from the video game I will do my Yoga DVD.

    Last night......
Home from work. HUGE job but great people. I was VERY dirty. We spent 7.5 hours in a kitchen alone and took out about 20 boxes( 3X3X3 ft) of sellable stuff and 6 bags of garbage............hubby was home at 5:15. He heated up leftovers for himself and the kids. I got got home at 6:00. Hugged and kissed my boys lots and then they left for hockey in Thamesford. I warmed up different leftovers .
Checked mail.... It’s freezing in here. It is raining and i am feeling the damp. Only 4 hours sleep last night doesn’t help either.( damn time change)

I took a desperately need a bath to soothe my tired bones ,clean up and get warmed up. Will start the fire in a bit............ right now i am having a cafe mocha.

I dont have to work tomorrow...... yippee!!!! So much to do here, of course, but I am happy to be home!
At the very least tonight I will get a load of whites done and tidy the kitchen and run the DW.Tomorrow I will catch up on and complete ALL my Avon stuff. Work on the damn tax stuff.

Got over to Grandma’s yesterday. Picked up 23 boxes of new flooring. 20 more to get.
Kids had a good day with our neighbour/sitter here today. I left at 7:30 to get to work in time. Won a free coffee at Tim’s!!

Spose the clothes wont put themselves in the washer.

    HUGS!!!!

    Annie
  • Annie: OMG!! How can you keep up with the size changes. That is fantastic
I am so proud and happy for you.

It looks like the thread is dying out. I really hate that. It used to be so hopping we very seldom made it to the back page.

    Later, my friend
  • Hi All...

Deb-thank God for previous weightloss friends, they keep me in clothes. My bestest friend, Suzie, is 19 months out of surgery and has passed all her clothes down to me, so that is a great help, plus I have clothes from my previous sizes....

Today is a good day already took a 15 minute walk on morning break and will take another this afternoon. I really need to start exercising but don't get released till next week for that. Would like to do a little weights for the arms, and don't have the foggiest what to do about the apron belly. It's not bad, but noticeable. My tummy region is still a bit tender when I bend over anyway, may have to wait a few more weeks for that.

Hey how is everyone else, and where the heck are you.

    Hugs

    Annie
  • I finally got to move my tracker. I had refused to move it up when I gained. but this is the first time in months I've been able to move it down...
    2.2 lbs

Annie: Thats great your out walking... don't overdo. You need time to heal.
Theres plenty of time for toning exercises. I know you are just amazed everytime you look in the mirror.

Holly, suzie, ellen: miss you guys

Later my friends got to go to work
