Good morning ladies!! I am already off to a good start. Dishes have been done, laundry is folded, and I vaccumed the van out. I have been wanting to do that for soo long, and I finally got to it today!!! For this afternoon: trip to the gym, errands, then pick up DH from airport. The kiddies are really hyper, and I am hoping thet they calm downduring the car ride.

I am also excited because I have finally dropped some weight!!! yay!! I will wait to change my weight until this loss has stuck around for a couple of days, but I am really excited this is the first time in a long time that the scale said anything under 229!!!! Have to run, and eat, I got off to such I good start I forgot to eat, so I am going to eat now and svae my snack for later in the day. ((hugs)) to all!!

Good morning ladies!

Somehow, I lost 3lbs this week! We ate out 3 times - Mexican, Chinese and Fish and Chips at the Irish pub! Maybe I need to test out the one bad meal a day diet and make a fortune!

It's been a great week, cept for last night. I had to rush my poor puddy tat to the emergency vet as he had a blockage in his urinary tract and had to have surgery and his bladder flushed out. He's still very groggy from the anaesthetic this morning but doing good.

Funny story of the week...was wandering around Wildwood, where the boardwalk is and stopped in the book store looking for some low carb cookery books. We picked a couple of books and when I went to pay I had a wad of $1 bills from the guy's trips the past few days and decided I would offload some of them. The guy behind the counter says to me "are you a waitress" no I said, "well you must be a dancer then". When I picked myself up off the floor I said to him "actually I own a cab company and WHO THE **** WOULD WANT TO SEE ME DANCE!" I was laughing so hard I left as quick as I could. I could barely breathe when I caught up with Ralph, who had heard none of this (prob a good thing cos he would have either punched the guy or collapsed laughing).

NSV of the week...was wandering around Kmart and saw the racks of bathing suits. I knew I needed a smaller one so I grabbed an 18 and off I go to the changing room. WAAAAAAAAY too big, so I grab a 16 and it fit everywhere but the bum, that was hanging half way down my thighs! Well as we're not going away for another 3 weeks I decided I will wait and get one just before we go in case I drop a few more pounds and inches. Chuffed is an understatement! We went to the lake yesterday (wore my old bathing suit) and when I came out of the water the bum was hanging behind my knees and the skirt was almost at my ankles as no belly to hold it up!

Happy food of the week...I get a call from my Algerian Friend Zak who has recently opened an International Food store down the road, and he found me some Taramasalata when he went to Pennsylvania today! Haven't had any in over 8 years. Even better, I look at the nutritional info and there are no carbs and no sugars! Guess who will be warming up the pitta bread tomorrow! (wheat of course!)

Holly - well done on the fantastic comments - you truly are amazing!
Ellen - congrats on the loss! I am sure it will stick!
Welcome Shirley!

Hope you all have a fandabeedozee weekend!

Thought I would put my first comparison pic here too today!

Love n hugs

Sarah

I'm making it...

Hello everyone!

I'm here and making it. I took some time to read through posts. Its our slower time of the year, but I'm so glad to see peeps here. I have been doing well the past couple of weeks. I'm getting back on track, slowly, and have seen losses at the scale in my last couple weigh-ins. I'm having a VERY hard time making it to the gym. I get home, it's so hot out, I don't want to do a single thing but lay around. I get so tired lately when it's hot like this. We finally turned on our window unit today in the bedroom only. I woke up at 5.30a as usual on Saturdays, went to the gym, went to WW meeting and weighed, and then I met my dad for breakfast for father's day. It was nice. I got my eybrows done at the salon across the street and headed home. I was so tired due to the heat and DH and I napped and read all day. Now it's 10pm and our day is starting LOL we'll probably go for a bite to eat, and a movie.

Oh listen, my friend- she lost almost 30 pounds since February. It's crazy - All she has done is cut out sugar I think. It was very inspiring. She used to drink lots of sodas, and now I notice her drinking and eating sugar free everything. So I'm glad for her and it has inspired me to keep going. I don't drink anything but sugar-free anyway, but it proves that small changes go a long way.

Oh, and sorry to blab on...but I got a swimsuit in the mail today that I ordered off of the Macy's website - I took the last one that was available, which was a size 20 swimdress by It Figures. The suit was very expensive, $90, but it is AMAZING. For some reason I was always against skirted swimsuits, but as I've lost some weight, my upper thighs are flabby with skin, and this slight skirt covers it up. I put it on and showed hubby and he loved it! Somehow, this suit makes me look smooth all around, it's so flattering and lovely and so well worth the money. I wanted to rush out and go swimming! If you are looking for a suit, check out the site: www.itfigures.net
If you want to see mine, click on "favorite suit", type in 3602001 and it will show that style number.

Sarah:
Thank you for the pictures, it's great to see you! And I'm so happy for your achievements. I can't wait until I'm in the 2-teens as well. You are so close to ONEderland! Hope kitty is okay!

UPSWife:
Good job- I long to be under 230 - that's untreaded territory for me! LOL

Holly:
The comments about Avon were great! BTW, since you sell, how is that press-on nail polish? I saw that in a catalogue the other day!

Susie:
Great job with the pizza. It's little things like that which will get us to ONEderland!

Shirley:
Welcome!!!! Hang out and post - it's a slow time of the year for our thread, but feel free to post and vent or whatever! You can get to ONEderland!

Talk to all of you later,

Girlie

Good Morning Ladies..........

Yesterday was glorious in Indianapolis, 90 degrees, hot and humid. lol Spend the entire day out of doors, cutting grass, planting, and fill holes for the crawdads. Man they can dig holes in the ground.

Eating has been fair, not really bad, but not as good as it could be. Exercise has not been great at all. I truly do not like to exercise. I guess i need someone to prod me with a cow prod on a daily basis.

My dd had her wisdom teeth removed on Friday, 2 of which were impacted. She has been in pain since, can only eat soft foods. i.e. milkshakes, mashed potatos, and soup. Jello, but she is sick of that. God love her.

My son has been camping all weekend. It started raining last night about 10 and has not stopped. He is probably soaked, altho it doesn't seem to bother him. My idea of camping is Holiday Inn. lol

Sounds like everyone is doing fairly well. That is great.

Have a marvy day.

Hugs

Annie

Hello,
It has been a very busy yet inspiring weekend for me. My TOPS ARD days were Friday night and Saturday. It was so inspiring to see the winners on stage and to hear their success stories. I WANT to be on that stage next year!

The other Area Captain, Cheryl, reached her KOPS status last year and was able to Graduate at ARD. This is a wonderful ceramony. One of the things that is done is that a yellow rose is presented to the Graduate. They are silk rose; the rose has a smaller bloom on it that can be taken off and given to a person of their choice that they wish to see obtain their KOPS status. I was so surprised when Cheryl gave me hers! I cried and I never cry in public!!
I am going to carry that rose with me every day to remind me of what I'm working to accomplish.

I also have good news that when I weighed in on Thursday I had a 1.80 pound loss. That's 2 weeks in a row; I'm going for a third one!

Girle: I bought 3 bathing suits at Sears about 4 weeks ago so that I would have them for my cruise in September. I bought them a little snug so that they would be ok with any weightloss that I had and I can assue you that I'm going to have a weight loss for that cruise! Anyway, they too have little snug shirts on them--something that I had avoided because I didn't want to look "matronly" the new ones look like a tennis shirt I think and I love the coverage that it gives my upper thighs.

Annie: I also "camp" at the Holiday Inn. I'm not one to rough it; I'm a pampered sort of gal! lol

Sarah: I loved the story! Doesn't it feel good to be noticed?

Debbie 06-18-2006 06:23 PM

Good evening everyone,
I'm finally starting to do my laundry. I put it off till dh left for work. Now I have 3 loads to finish and a furbaby to bathe. SSSHHH! She hides if she knows she is about to get a bath. Spelling it doesn't help she's caught on to that...Crazy dog!
I can't seem to get a grip on my eating. I stay hungry. I've tried but I just keep eating too much of all the bad things. I really think it is the heat it has just zapped me. I have absolutly "0" energy. I somehow think I'm overeating trying to get energy but instead I feel like a sloth. Any ideas? Moving won't work. But I sure would if I could. I've told ya'll when I grow up I want to be a "snowbird". Summer in the north and winter in the south. That's my goal and I'm sticking to it...LOL.
I AM going to curves in the am. I've only been 2x in the last 2 months. I know that is some of my energy drain.
Everyone sounds so great and the losses are good. I really miss being able to post daily.
The washer just stopped the underwear and socks are calling me...Lol

Love you guys...:grouphug:

Good morming ladies!!! I was not very good this weekend at all. DH came back, and we got a room for the night :D By the time his flight came in and we got the kiddies home and got ourselves settled in the hotel, the only place open was mcdonalds, and I hate to admit it, but I biggie sized. :( then to top it off, we got b-fast from there too. Talk about overload. I am going to do better today, but because I have to run around with the house papers, I may not make it to the gym, but then I will have to go tomorrow. But I Will make it to the gym 3 times thiss week, even if I have to get up at 5am on Sat to go before work.

THe loss did not stick around, due to the sodium overload, but I am happy to report that the average has gone down a pound! I have been averaging the same for the last 8 weeks in a row. I will do better and get this weight down. It will be easier now that dh is home, and I will be home more. ((hugs)) to all you wonderful ladies!!!

Girlie 06-19-2006 09:29 PM

Hello, everyone.

Trying to be good with eating. It's tough! DH and I don't do much cooking in the summer - we don't have central air conditioning and cooking raises the temp in here greatly. But I try for sandwiches, or like now, I'm having a Lean Cuisine pizza.

I plan to work out 4x this week, for an hour each time.

Debbie -
I feel like you. So zapped of energy. Even if I get 7-8 hrs of sleep, I still am so tired in the morning! I'm trying to stick to foods with protein, been having protein bars for breakfast, and keeping low-cal drinks and water in me. Like now, I'm so warm and it would probably do me good to head to the gym, but I just can't move. I just want to relax.

Susie -
I know how you feel - I get really inspired when I go to WW and people are meeting their goals. It's taken me forever just to lose 10 pounds. I have 1 pound to get there, and I hope to make it on Saturday. I must keep that in mind! And I'm sure you look great in your swimsuits!!! When is the cruise? That is exciting!

Annie -
I had 3 wisdom teeth out last year. And yes, I ate mashed potatoes!

Hope all is well. Just keep going everyone. Hang in there.

Girlie

THank you for all the encouragement!!! THe weekend was pretty bad foodwise, but yesterday was better, and I am back under 230!!! I am planning to eat well the rest of the week, and I should stay where I am, which will be a net loss of 3pounds. I do need to get motivated about exercise, yesterday was a wash, and I am hoping I can make it later after work, if not I will have to go Sat before work (5am :() I am definitley not a morning person, but if it has to be done it will get done. YOu all are doing great keep on truckin'

Have to run and get my day started.

Hey everyone,
I finally made it to my first ww meeting. I'm giving up on the on-line thing. I need more support than they can give. I really enjoyed myself. Now all I have to do is get back to curves. I'm going to change my ticker to to reflect the weight they got this evening. It is shockly higher than what they show at curves but I weight without my shoes at curves...Lol.

upswife 06-22-2006 11:32 AM

I was so bad yesterday. I just kept eating, and I feel so foolish, but today I will pick up the pieces and dust myself off.

The kiddies have had some kind of virus, and now DH has it too, I am hoping that it passes me by. DS is still fighting it off, and DH woke up with it, so two sickies in the house. DD1 had it a couple of days ago and DD2 seems to be over it. Pray that I keep my sanity--And it is storming out here, so we will be cooped up all day.

Later chicas

Debbie 06-22-2006 04:01 PM
