I am making a layered Jello for Easter desserts. You can chose your colours/flavours for any season or event.
When mixing the jello use 1/2 the amount of water in the instructions. Divide this in 1/2 and stir 2 tbsp into one of the halves of mix. Pour the clear jello into a glass pan.Let set. Follow with 2nd layer and let set, continue with other flavours until the pan is full. It is beautiful.Cut into squares and serve. OR~ use a cookie cutter to cut out shapes. For Easter I am doing bunnies with purple, pink, yellow and green jello. For Valetines day I used red and pink jello and used heart cutters. Eating the scraps is fun too! |
Good morning ladies!
Well official weigh in today and I was 3.5lbs lighter! So maybe Saturday wasn't a fluke as such but I knew it might not be true! Glad I waited as I know for sure now and didn't change my ticker to be disappointed (even tho it was only .5lb we're talking about here and my ticker doesn't do halves lol!) I've started drinking more water after reading a post on here. It's one of those things I knew I should do but I am not a water drinker as such. I don't drink cold drinks at all really, which is kinda weird now I think about it! I am managing between 36-54oz a day at the moment, which I will build up slowly but surely. Welcome AMureen! Glad to have you aboard! Easter is going to be quiet here. Just me, dh and his 2 brothers and possibly my niece. Dh's kids will be at church stuff as they have a sunrise service on the beach and a big breakfast back at the church and their mother never lets them eat a holiday meal here cos she's a selfish #$%^&! The kids begged to be allowed to stay here last Christmas Eve so they could open their presents here for once on Christmas morning and we only got an hour with them with rushed ripping open of presents as she had early plans. Still it was better than the usual when they would get here at 10pm and be falling asleep trying to open presents. Ah the trials and tribulations of being a stepmother! I might try the layered jello (sugar free of course!) as my Easter dessert. I already have plans to have one cadbury's cream egg after dinner. They are one of my downfalls. I would buy the packs of 4 and eat in one sitting, instead of a meal!. Last time I did that was 8 weeks ago last night, the night before I started eating healthy! So I think I deserve my Easter treat! As long as I load up on protein at dinner, hopefully I won't get a sugar crash! Hence the reason I am eating it AFTER dinner rather than before! I might even be adventurous and make a sugar free trifle (parfait). I could make a wheat sponge cake (with splenda instead of sugar) for the bottom layer, make the custard also with splenda, sugar free jello, carb lite canned fruit and as cream is an 'allowed' food I can get away with that too! I will just make it smaller than the usual huge bowl I would normally make. Goodness, I am babbling away here... OK, I am off to change my ticker! Love n hugs to all. Sarah |
Hello,
I am still doing well with the food. I have felt a little hungry but I've been able to drink some water and talk myself out of it. I really want a loss for 2 weeks in a row...then I'm going for 3!. As I said I have been hungry and last night I was hungry at dinner time. DH had a doctor appointment and I went with him. We decided to eat at Bob Evans. I thought I should just have a salad but then I thought about the fact that I was hungry and I might overeat later because a salad wouldn't be enough. So I had an egg sandwich with a salad, and half of my frieds. DH and I split a dessert and I was very satisfied physically and emotionaly and I didn't feel like I stuffed myself. That must be what it feels like for typicially thin people everyday. I will get to work out tonight. I'm looking forward to my walk and doing some weights. I made an appointment to see if I am a candidate for Lasik eye surgery. It's time for me to get new contacts and glasses and I thought why should I spend money on that when maybe I can get the surgery. If I can't then I'll know what direction to go in. If I am, then I'll see how much it would cost me. I'll know on Monday. That's about it from here. Feeling in a good place. Welcome to AMureen: I am mostly a vegitarian. Jiggly: I'm so happy about your loss! Ok...got to run. Susie |
Hello everyone. Congrats to everyone with the losses! That's awesome!
The weather is lovely, and HOLLY, I wish I could hang out with you in your garden! You can teach me the ropes! I'm doing better with my eating. I was very disappointed with my gain last Saturday. It's crazy how just some little number can do it to ya. DH and I did our hour of cardio at the gym last night and I'm very much on track. I'm thinking about making a simple soup tonite. I have a couple cartons of low sodium,free-range chicken broth and some barley...I'm thinking maybe fresh mushrooms, chinese cabbage and shrimp. Anyone have any ideas of what to put in it? Have a wonderful day. Girlie |
Welcome Maureen. It's good to have you here and a big WAY TO GO for HippyHippo! It's great to be a loser, huh?
I just had to tell you all that I've had another milestone (literally) in my weight loss journey. I walked 1.3 miles outside this morning! Now ya'll don't really know me but I couldn't walk 1/10 of a mile 1 month ago because of my back problem. I used a treadmill and hung on to the sides to take some pressure off. The weight lifting and weight loss have strengthened my back enought that I was able to walk outside, on the sidewalk, by myself. Sounds kinda little but it's huge to me. The payoff for sticking to it is getting better every day. |
Good evening ladies! I know I have been MIA, but Easter time is very busy around here. DH is the choir director, and his baseball season is just starting, plus we are trying to get dome yard work done before it gets too hot. I think I overdid it a little, I feel verytight and achy. I also think I have a fever. I am off to take a nice quiet shower (the kiddies are in bed) and get to bed early. I hope I am not catching a cold, because it would be devastating if I miss all the Easter things at church. ((hugs)) to all you wonderful ladies!!!

No more glasses, lenses and all the eye infections that come along with wearing them.. good luck! HippyHippo: Yay for the loss!!! your plan seems to be working out great, keep it up ;) I'm going shopping for clothes today, hopefully a couple of sizes smaller:crossed: Love you ladies!!!! :grouphug: |
Happy Thursday Everyone......
DS got half of his stitches out of his finger, it was not quite healed. He goes next Wed. to get the rest out and to start therapy. All in all, the x rays show great healing. Amen. It is beautiful, here in Indy today. It was 82 yesterday and supposed to be that today again. May take Bella (dog) for a walk when I get home. Both of us could use a walk. Great job on all the losers! YOU all rock! Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter weekend. God Bless Annie |
I'm up one pound today, from 208 to 209 :(
I admit I kind of cheated :sorry: (2 servings of *heavenly, YUMMY, worth the cheat* strawberry cheesecake, half a bag of pretzels, no exercise for 3 days) I blame it all on TOM  I'm re-comitting today. Exercise *although I've got killer cramps from TOM*, OP and all!! ya'll |
Ahh Emma, yep TOM is a *****. But you'll lose that measly one lb in a day! :)

Happy Saturday!!!
Nothing like physical labour to clear the cobwebs!! Up at 7am, Clyde was very insistant that I feed him. Had a nice cuddle with DS. Woke up with the whole family and both cats in bed! We have an egg hunt in the park at 11. i asked DH to take the rug cleaner back. I will brainstorm my to do's and then prioritize later. -make veggie tray and dip -clean both bathrooms -move end tables and extra chairs to basement -fold laundry -call Avon customers with orders -make 1 more pan of jello for cut outs for tomorrow -maybe make cookies for tomorrow, ran out of brown sugar -go to BIL&SIL for dinner(at 6:30), arrive anytime they say -take a bath, I am achey from using the rug cleaner My carpets look glorious!! I refused to put the end tables back in the livingroom. Now there is no place to leave, cups, beer cans etc laying around!!!! *evil chuckle* I am putting the 4 extra diningroom chairs down there too. hee hee. I am getting so minimlist!! I reaaranged the furniutre too. Time for a shift in energy. HUGS!! and Happy Easter!!! |
I thought I had a great week last week. I had no soda, no sweets and I worked out 4 days and I had a gain. I gained 1.60 lbs.
For a split second I just wanted to say the **** with all this. But I don't want to have to buy bigger clothes and I don't like being over 250 lbs much less 200. So yesterday was my 3 month checkup at my Family doctor (she checks my thyroid every 3 months). I talked to her about how I feel my body betrays me. She acted like I might be eating more than I think I am and such. It pissed me off! She did say that my blood works shows that I am slightly Insulin Resistant so she said we would try glucophoge and see if it helped my efforts. She asked if I was interested in the weight loss surgery. I am NOT! Most people that I know who have had it are thin but they look horrible! I could just cry. But I'm a fighter so I'm going to fight. I will see her again in 6 weeks to see if the glucophoge is working. I can tell you that I'm going to work my *** off and I will take her my food logs and such. I am trying to get my mind and soul into a position where I truly believe I can do this. I want to so bad, I just need to believe I can and I'm almost there because I'm pissed off and that's when I really acomplish things. |

Shari: Hope so!
Holly: Veggie tray sounds yummy, what kind of dip do you make? Sussie: good luck with the glucophage, I'm IR and it never worked for me. What I did was cut down on bad carbs and increase my exercise (almost everyday for 60 mins) and my weight is shifting slowly. My thighs are killing me from the workout on the elliptical yesterday, I guess the pain means its working! Been OP all day, consumed 26 points exactly, hoping for a big loss by weekend :D |
Happy Easter!!!
:m: :m: :m: Here is some virtual candy, so we all can say we had some :D!!! |
