Go to bed Mel. I was going to ring you but thought it might be too late. Apparently not. Things will look better in the morning - and yes you have worked too hard to give it all away. One day is fine - no harm done. Lets just see what tomorrow brings. Night night all. I'm going out to the garden to play ball with the dog. He is waiting and watching balefully from the door. I've been here too long already.
Happy - tell DH that he can come over and clean the poop. I've got a high pressure hose, so maybe he might like to wash down the patio, wash the dog over the fence (out under the gate and down the drain) and the couple of wandering cats with it as well. Bet he would soon get tired of the noise particularly the cockatoos as well. Doesn't he know these things live forever, never mind the cost of them or seed!! They do not know when to shut up these birds - even when they are flying, they are squawking and squabbling!!! Stick to butterflies DH |
shad ill send you cleo she hates cats and birds and does her level best to make sure there are none within a square mile of us and its unbelievable just how high she can jump and gets a fair distance up the trees as weel what can i say one very confused dog
kirsty |
Thanks linus, but I think I'll stick with the dog I have who barks at imaginery cats and leaves the wildlife alone. The dog over the fence (the one I want flushed down the drain) is a yappy pomeranian. I have already 'washed' it once with the high pressure hose. Shifted it backwards 5 feet it did. Did me a whole lot of good too. I still laugh about it. The thing doesn't come too close to the fence anymore while I am out there.
How's the back, front, side muscle?? |
Good morning all,
Mel I was very sorry to read of your latest news on the eyes. I know, it seems at times you must feel like how much MORE do you expect me to deal with? as you cast your eyes upward :rollpin: :bomb: :headache: And to just give up would bring it's own set of problems. As Shad says, we just have to find it somewhere within ourselves to not abandon all reason and carry on another day. You have done lots of research in the past, I suppose this is a new opportunity to find out more about the cataracts although I admit I don't know much about the subject and thusfar have only heard as surgery as a means to remove them. But they are coming up with new techniques all the time. Until then :grouphug: to you. Hmm... don't we all know of a dog we'd love to "hose down the drain"? It seems like certain breeds are more annoying than others - and size is not always relative to annoyance levels. I know I have talked about it all week, but today is THE DAY, yes, no doubt about it, that I get back on plan again. The scale has shown a 7 pound gain in total since vacation and the end to my smoking. I have not been eating as a substitute but I think this downfall is more a lack of planning / failure to plan on my part. I already know from past experience all too well that looking for meals at the last minute spells disaster. Enough of that business already. We have 2 more rainy days ahead of us and then it should be a bit dry for a while. I have enrolled myself in a new exercise challenge which starts Monday because I surely need the discipline. I am feeling quite soft and squishy as of late and it's NOT a good feeling. I have even entertained the insane idea of starting to run / trot on the treadmill. With too much weight, weak knees and mostly the inability to retain decent breathing for any sustained amount of time, I have always dismissed running pretty much as soon as it entered my head. I know it's too soon to expect that my poor lungs will recover from years of smoking abuse, but I'm hoping to see some improvement thusfar that will be encouraging. But that is for this evening to discover. I still have a day ahead of me to work, study and keep looking at the job postings and agency listings. Everyone try to find something positive about the day today, ok? :grouphug: |
weigh in tonight wish me luck
kirsty |
:crossed: :crossed: May you be very happy with the numbers you see tonight Linus!
|
 Linus~ :crossed: good luck!! :crossed: I can hardly wait to see!
Shad~ I almost called too!!! Each time I tried to think I cried so decided bed was better. Don't know why I was still up anyway. Like staying up was the answer?! Got up this morning and re read the comments. Felt loved and cared for and stripped the bed! Just did 2 loads and will put new sheets on later. Hope your re-do is going well. Be careful where you put that silicone!!! You might need another bra size!!! Happy~ Yes this is another one of life's little trials but damn I'm sick of getting tested!!! Hope you get a GOOD start on your plan. The sitting at the PC is not helping any of us. Work should require some standing for health reasons! Good luck with the exercising but take care of the knees!!! Don't start them off and ruin the summer!:( Well I have more to go before the day is done. Not letting any moss grow under me is working well with my mind!!! Busy is the key word for the day!!! Have a great one and "wake up little Suzie"!! |
not happy put on a pound but better luck next week
kirsty |

kirsty |
Oh Linus, you are good for the soul. I suppose aeroplanes are out as well and parachuting or golf!!!!
I believe there are new ways to deal with cataracts, its the other complications that Mel has that will cause the problems. I know they are using a lot of laser surgery these days. We had a Ukainian friend at one stage until the ex quarrelled with him and anyway the Uk had cataracts taken out. I know he had a couple of medical conditions but they used laser surgery and he was in and out in a morning. A rellie of Chris (Japan Chris that is) also had them and at age 80+ she had them taken away. When we met up with her last year she was commenting on the depth of colour particularly blue that she could now see. Happy, if you are going to start running, take it easy. Baby steps okay. I started with two minutes run and have worked up from there. It seems to have taken for ever to get to where I am now. But I'm making it! Good luck with the planning and the exercise! It's all too easy to get out of the habit and all too hard to get into it. Plans for the day? Uh well I'm off to the gym shortly. I'm going to just run today, my neck and shoulders are still stiff from step the other day - why neck and shoulders? Stuffed if I know, but I suspect it is something to do with the pressups and crunches at the end of the session. Now I really do have a pain in the neck instead of accusing the DS of being one. Following the gym, I think the siliconing will be finished more or less today. Then I am on paint rolling duties again. One day, one day, this too will pass!!! DS hates painting so am chief slapper on of paint here. I hate the prep work required, wonder if I can find a bloke who likes prep? Now that's probably like finding a bloke who's good at foreplay   scarce as hensteeth comes to mind :lol3: |
shad ill lend you mind hes good at one but not the other needless to say i do the painting in this house
kirsty |
And I dare say you do the prep as well. If he is good at the other you better start hanging on to him. You've now told everyone in the entire world about him and they will all be after him.
