I had a brain fart today...stood outside this restaurant waiting for a friend. Waiting...waiting...tried calling her...no answer...getting ticked off...how rude is that eh? Over 45 minutes later I leave...$^@$#% I go and do Montes errands..and got a call from my ex third ( the store) anyways she wanted to meet for lunch today,,,I had the time so off I went. WWWWWWOOO I ended up being her shoulder while she cried,,,vented and reasoned herself back to NOT quitting. She was so upset..I had no idea what to do. There are alot of jobs opening in our neighbourhood so I offered to fax her resume around. Went to library and looked for a book on marketing yourself in a small business. I have plans....

Vallory should be feeling pretty good in a day or so. Poor kid,,strep throat now this? HAPPY BIRTHDAY Kaycee's DAD!!!

Katie didn't know there is a thing on what days are best to get married...I know that its good luck for it to rain on your wedding day.

Marti, lobster? Mouth watering.... Thats cruel to say things like that on here. Im weak,,,weak I say when i hear things like that...*sigh

Susan...you are to NEVER die. What would I do with girls? I can barely deal with a female dog Well maybe the lil one can come...it would take her years to realize shes a girl...lol

Well Im off to do something...not sure what.

Just a quick check-in. Stuck OP fairly well. But Lord I want another shake right now. I'm gonna hit Fitday and see if I have enough calories left. I crave those things. YUM!

Marti- How's all the homework going? I hate taking the car to have something done. We went to Wal-Mart a year or so ago to get a new tire because we were going on a trip the next day. They were backed up something pitiful so we had to kill 3 hours in the store!!! Finally heard our name being paged so we go to the back to pick up the truck. ONE lugnut was missing so they refused to put the tire on. Everyone in the store knew I was madder than ^$%&$ after I told one of the service guys off. Why the $&&^^ couldn't they have checked all the lugnuts 3 hours before?!? DUH! I looked and there were NO signs stating that policy and no one had mentioned it when we checked our truck in and picked out a tire. Needless to say, Tim now checks the tires and will snitch a lugnut off of another tire if needed.

Well, nighty night y'all. I'm going to get my hair cut and highlighted tomorrow, so I may not get to check in. Then Wednesday, I am going to get some contacts. I'll try to sneak in a quick post here and there. Take care.

Hey Angie! Looks like we're on here together again! Did you finally get your friend on the phone so you could chastise her good for not showing up? That's the pits. Thanks for b-day wishes for my dad. What kind of plans do you have? Are you going to open up a temp agency for disgruntled employees? Sounds like you would have plenty of clients! Vallory is feeling o.k. Her sinuses are still driving her nuts though. Bye.

Red face

Kayecee, the same thing happened to us not so long ago. DH went to get new tires and Wal-mart said that was their policy. Well, when I took the truck in there were no missing lugnuts but I wasn't going to argue with them. They also did the same thing as far as making us wait an hour before calling us to let us know this. Hope your dad had a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

Hi Angie & Marti and EVERYONE else!

Not much going on. Didn't do much of anything today, too pooped. I definitely will take my time getting things in order but I will do it within the next month. I am so glad that we painted before moving in, it looks good. Anyway, don't have much to say, just wanted to check in.

Good morning ladies,

Cristi - so glad to see you!! Maybe you can take a day to just rest up. I have to admit that I am one of those people who can't stand unpacked boxes! So if they are still hanging around after a few weeks, you must not have needed them anyway, so give it to Goodwill! LOL!! About the FT, if you have any questions, let me know. I just told Neal and Katie last night that I thought I'd do it again next week. Their enthusiasm was underwhelming, lol!!

Angie - The Odd Couple with women would be so funny!! Something tells me that you would be a very good actress, so why do you stay behind the scenes? Not that there's anything wrong with that... (Okay, I sound like Jerry Sienfeld now!!)

Kayecee - You will still lose weight at 1800 calories, and probably shouldn't go down to 1600 until you have lost 20-25 pounds. And personally, I always eat 1 1/2 cups of soup - 1 cup just isn't enough, unless the is more to the meal, like a sandwich. I am proud of you for doing this.... As one who is heavier than you, I for sure know how hard it is! Will your mom support you in this? I know she fixes a lot of your meals.

Susan - you are doing great with the water and the walking! Does Gaby go with you?

Marti - I'm sure Jhanai loved your singing. I always sang to my babies, and now to my grandbabies. Lord knows I can't carry a tune in a bucket, but they feel the love and feel secure, I guess.

I am still 100% OP and feeling good about that, but I have been slack on the exercise. Now Susan has me fired up, so I am bringing out my glider today.... I know it sounds wimpy, but I used it when I quit smoking, and only gained 11 pounds. You can really work up a sweat with it. But what I like best is that it is no-impact on my knees and I can watch tv while I do it.... (kinda like sex, tee hee hee)

bbl,
Jana

Good morning everyone
Waiting for my mom to call and freak...
She listens to our radio stations even thou she lives 2 hours north. And then calls me when we are having bad weather to inform me of all the accidents...or if there is one that sounds like it could be me or Monte...she calls to make its not...lol
anyways,,there was a robbery in my community..we have Macs stores wich is like 7/11 it got robbed and the guy ran on foot for his getaway...well he stayed in the neighbourhood long enough for the police and dogs to track..there was a shoot out and well the robber lost. My lil home town has a history of *things* happening so I have a good comeback when she calls...
Brandon is so mad at me right now,,,he went and got a haircut...*gasp I know I know...a whole INCH taken off. I can handle long hair (I think) but not sloppy looking hair. And I told him to clean it up..he said he wanted a trim. Well this chick went over board so I get to pay the price with Mr. Crankypants

1/2 hour later..... my mom called..lol *what the bleep is going on over there?*
I don't know,,,I think Im going to have to move,,,this place is starting to get like Sylvan. *what?* remember the robbery about6 yrs ago...the Paint Stop? And the shoot out with that guy(he was having an affair) and his wife (she left him after he had done this a couple of times,,,can you blame her)? He ended up shooting his wife his *girlfriend and her boyfriend* theres a story there too I think..and then shot himself. The wife lived with many complications. And the stabbing of the abused wife( I taught her painting classes)? And the attempt at poisoning the wifes husband so she could continue her affair with her best friends(best friend was our realtor) husband( husband was one of my Santa's)? And then last summer there was the slurpy case. 4 15 yr girls were charged with poisoning a slurpy to give to this other girl cause she made out with boyfriend of one of the 4. And of course we had a bowling alley once but the owner killed his wife and caught it on fire.
So it is safer for us to live here in the city...lol
Im going to a job fair today,,,going ask for a part time cashier job...
My business idea is to become a personal assistant. after what I went throu with working and theatre I needed someone to get groceries, get the bill paying down...
So I thought theres got to be more people like me who needs help getting the mundane things done.
Well I should get going....

Good Morning,

Using a Glider is like sex, Jana???? Where do we pick up one of these Gliders??
No, Gaby doesn't go with me on a long walk. It is not a real busy road but busy enough , I don't think it is real safe. I would spend most of my time in the gravel waiting for cars to pass.Though when I get my jogging stroller I may!!!! She loves being outside.
I do enjoy looking at the yards and how they are landscaped, so pretty. I wish I had a yard to care for *sigh, maybe I will get a landscaping job for the summer!!! Love to mow.

Your mom is a kick , Angie. You didn't like my Home Depot job? idea? ??Though your personal assistant thought sounds interesting!!!. Agree with Jana, you would be great as an actress!!

Shanna, how are you?? How is that headache?? Hope you are feeling better and life looks a little brighter today.
Don't know much that can motivate except ......if not now.........when??Also, Dr. Phil says "weight loss has nothing to do with will power". I haven't figured THAT out yet but sounds profound & wise......lol

Marti...........so you ain't down there in Cottage Grove starving yourself?? Darn, sounded dramatic. I thought it was my chance to come off smart or something....lol
TOM?? Time of month?? I looked in the other thread and it was't there. Saw that you are going to *test* me though??? lol

Cristi........I just throw everything away when I move, makes unpacking a lot easier. Last June when I moved I was unpacked before they could unload the U-Haul.....

Kayecee!! YAY.....Hope you have a good day today!!

Katie......still on your trip?? Hope all is well

I better get busy. Need to take Rachel to school and Doug says he will watch Gaby while I walk.
I DID have a pancake & hardboiled egg for breakfast. It is the Blah time before payday...........you eat what is available!! lol....I want my Advantage shake.........but , oh well.

Take Care!!!

Good morning ladies--

I tried to sleep in this morning...but the dog snuck into the room and stomped on me!! She's so big and obnoxious!!

Jana--I'm so proud of you for being OP 100% of the time!! You are an inspiration to us all! I was going to go for a walk...but it started pouring outside!! What's up with that. So I'm going to go and do some pilates to stretch my body out......get myself used to exercising again.

Angie--I thought slashed tires in the neighborhood was bad....my goodness! I'm trying to think of anything like that in our town....hmmm...the only thing that comes to mind is the the town fire we had years ago. A man (don't know if they ever proved it) set his business on fire for insurance....but the idiot forgot that there were apartments above that people lived in...and an elderly woman died. It was terrible. But I remember the night..these businesses are right next to each other.....a shoe store, a copy place (the man's store) and a donut shop amongst others.....the night of the fire....the donut man was out handing donuts to everyone....what else could he do??

Susan--Nope...not starving myself. You'd know if I was...Shanna would be after me. How is it that you have all the great Oregon weather???? Today looks terrible! Although yesterday was wonderful!!

Cristi--I bet it's a relief to get into the other house!! I'm glad you are taking some time to rest. I felt like I was running myself ragged when we remodeled this place then spent weeks moving into it!! So take a "ME" day and relax...those boxes aren't going anywhere!!

Shanna & Kayecee--Good to chat with you two last night....a bit confusing at times...but it was fun!

Any of you other girls have MSN messenger or would like to have it?? Let us know...that way we can send you the info to download it and we can all chat together!!! Won't that leave us all dizzy and confused??!! Cristi---I was hoping you would have been online too and we could have added you to the conversation....

Ok...going to get my day started.

Good Morning Marti,
It is a little overcast here, but no rain. Forecast said sun breaks this afternoon.
I guess living on the coast for 11 years and really seeing rain,rain.....rain....NOTHING compares to coastal storms. So, a little misty rain here in Portland......is nothing.
Just figure I will carry an umbrella, no biggie. I don't like getting soaked, I am a baby there.
Hate Coming in looking like a wet cat.....lol.

Have a great day!!!

Angry

Hi All~

Marti~you ladies must have been chatting up a storm after I got off the computer. I was on till about 11:30 I think?? Sometimes though my MSN messenger doesn't come up, not sure why. It tells me to retry and sometimes still won't. Yes, it is a relief to be in this house-now to get everything unpacked. I always say I am going to take my time unpacking but I can't do it. I tire of the boxes in the way. I am taking it easy today though. I will unpack a few things and hang a few pictures but that's about it.

Jana~I am like you in that I have to get those boxes unpacked. I want to take my time, but can't stand the mess. I am proud of you for staying 100% OP!! I will definitely ask if I have any questions about the FT. I am going to be making my grocery list later. Last night was the first time I cooked dinner in about a week and let me tell ya-I never thought I would say I am SICK of eating out! Nothing like eating "good" food instead of junk. I have been watching what I eat, and not over doing it. Wasn't able to weigh in yesterday because the scales were at the other house-so I am going to have to wait till Monday. I am always curious whether I lost or gained, or even maintained and if I miss a weigh in I get bummed out. But I won't weigh on another day, I will just wait a week even though it is killing me.

Angie~THANK YOU so much for the card! That was so sweet of you. And the card is so pretty! GOOD LUCK : at the job fair. I hope you find exactly what you are looking for. Hey, I think becoming a personal assistant would be a great thing-A LOT of people need and want them.

Kayecee~enjoy YOUR day today. I would love to get my hair done, don't think I could wear contacts though-even though I think they would be cool, a real pretty green. Wouldn't have to worry about changing glasses or finding them. Hope Vallory is feeling better.

Susan~WTG on your walking and water drinking. You are doing a fantastic job!

Shanna~how are you feeling today?

Katie~hope you are having a good day, and you enjoyed Carmel/ Monterey. That is one thing I miss about CA-the beach! I love the beaches in CA-they are absolutely gorgeous! And Catalina Island! I would love to live there!

Well ladies this is getting a little long and I probably should be going. I am sure I have things to do around here. I will be back later. EVERYONE have a GREAT day!

Kayecee: Read a later post and was wondering. When did I say I didn't have air conditioning?? I do have that and cruise control. I just don't have a oil pressure gauge or heat gauge, just olights that come on if something is happenning. Even though it rains a lot here, I could not live without my air conditioning, I don't like to mess up my hair or get sweaty butt crack. So sad to hear they get that in Arkansas. Must be a sight to see when everyone gets out of their cars and shows off that nice butt crack sweat line. Good thing I live in Oregon. HEEE HEEEE HEEE

Just a quick note ladies. I just found three change of address notices today in a box-ooooopsie!! They are ready to be mailed (addressed & stamped) and I guess slipped down in the box, on the side. One is to DH parents, his sister and Angie-sorry! Okay, so I know Marti & Jana received one, if everyone else could let me know if you received one I would appreciate it. I will get one out tomorrow if you didn't get one because I am wondering if I sent them or they too are in a box-I haven't found anymore but everything was a mess when we started moving so I don't know what happened. I have some extras that I made up about a week before we closed on the house so it is not a problem. Anyway, just wanted to let ya know. Who knows what else I will find when I empty more boxes??? See ya

Good evening ladies,

Angie - sheesh, things get boring out here in the country, but nobody's shootin' at me, lol. There really was a cow in the road last night and I just about hit it coming home from Walmart, but that's about exciting as it gets. You would be a good personal assistant. People are willing to pay for services like that since they don't have time themselves.

Susan - lol, I just said a glider is easy on the knees and you can watch tv while you're doing it! A pancake and a hard-boiled egg is a good breakfast, depending on what you slathered on the pancake, lol.

Marti - don't forget about the chat rooms available here. You could all pick a time and meet there. Anytime I have gone in one, it's empty, so you'd have the place to yourselves. If you met early enough, those of us in the midwest could join you.

Cristi - Look for a card from me, too, okay? It got mailed today. I know what you mean about eating out, it gets real old, real quick with me. Any time we are on a vacation, I can't wait to get back home to some real family cooking.

I goofed off most of the day, moving some furniture this way and that, being bored with it all. It was cold and windy and I wanted to go outside. Maybe tomorrow...

Be good,
Jana

Hello Jaded Ones---

Are any of us feeling Jaded right now????

Well the sunshine decided to present itself today! During a down pour!! Let me tell you, having it rain and the sun blaring down at ya makes for awful driving conditions! But...I am here to say...I made it home safe!

Susan--I guess if I found the right shoes to walk in...carrying an umbrella wouldn't kill me to get a walk in. I will have to ponder upon that idea....

Cristi--Mail didn't make it to the mailbox?? Imagine that happening during a move! I had some misplaced mail and a lot of mail didn't get to me on time when we moved....of coarse, I had to make phone calls to get things straightened out!!

Shanna--Don't like to mess up your hair?! You live in Oregon!! What do you expect around here?! Actually I know what you mean. I always give James the eye when the window is rolled down in the summer.....he always obliges after that.

Kayecee--Sweaty butt cracks?! OOH...you MUST be from Gooberville!! (couldn't resist!) How did the hair and eye appointment go today? Ok..Shanna has her pictures posted....I hope you can see them. Now--you know what that means....just last night you said..."you post first" And she did!!!! Get that problem fixed that you had with posting photos.....we wanna see. (no pressures or anything)

Angie--Same for you girl!! Btw...the photo you sent to me of the cast...were you in it?? If so...pinpoint to me which one you were. If not...which one is your son??

Katie--Coming back yet?? Don't enjoy yourself too much...I'll start feeling jealous!! (I already am!)

Jana--Back to the singing....Jhanai may have liked it at the age of 2...but you should hear her now when I'm belting out a song..."MOM---turn up the radio!"

Ok...off to do some homework.

Take Care Ladies--
Marti
