Kayecee~you are sounding like me girl. Why is it when you are out of everything you want anything and everything?! I need to buy groceries. I didn't get much last Thursday to last and of course the weather is bad and I am not going anywhere. I am about ready to call for pizza delivery!! Oooo that sounds good. Okay, sorry I am not helping. You mentioned potato soup and I thought, yummy, then you mentioned shrimp-OMG! I love shrimp! I hope the kids and DH are feeling better today. You be careful you don't get it.
Marti~We have a scrapbook store here, Scrapbook Garden and I can spend some money there. they also have a crop party and other classes. The crop party is free and open to anyone but the classes are usually $25 and you can start with the basics. Our Hobby Lobby used to have 2 or 3 isles of scrapbook stuff but is down to one now. Michaels is also a good place for scrapbook stuff. Be careful because it gets addicting.
Jana~you know me I think I forgot to mention that we did find a house. A week after the last one fell through. We are supposed to close on the 20th. Decided to go with a new one afterall. Thanks for the tip about the liquor store. I always forget about that-the boxes with dividers. Glad you guys had a GREAT time. And WTG on staying OP! I can't wait to get the plan and see what it is all about.
Hi Katie, Angie & Shanna~hope you ladies are doing fine.
I had a terrible night last night. DS came home from work about 5:40 and said he was feeling weird. He felt weak, shaky, really hot-his face and neck were really red and he said he felt a tingling sensation going down his spine. After about 30 mintues of this and it not getting better he decided he wanted me to take him to the emergency room. Now this snow we were supposed to get Saturday we didn't get, just some rain that froze over night. Right after he got home it had started snowing bad, it was actually a mix of rain and snow. So off we go to the emergency room, took us probably 45 mintues to get there which normally is about a 25 mn. drive in traffic. The roads were awful and on top of it I don't drive often at night so I was a nervous wreck-it was worse than any stress I ever had when I had to drive the freeways in CA, especially the 405! I think I needed to be admitted instead of him. Anyway, we made it to and fro in one piece but I tell you if I was a drinker I would have hit the bottle! You would not belive the people driving like fools. At three different intersections people just went right through the lights. I know because they couldn't stop without losing it, but if they hadn't been going so fast to begin with...then we saw another guy that ended up in the ditch because he was turning left and the light changed and in the middle of his turn he hit the gas! I swear the worse the weather the worse these people drive. They thought it was just an allergic reaction to something, told him he could go home and take a benedryl. Better safe than sorry is what I always say. But it started on his way home and he was scared because he had never felt like that before and thinking about just having surgery two weeks ago it might have had something to do with that. I am just glad there was nothing seriously wrong with DS and we made it home in one piece. I couldn't get that wreck out of my mind-the night before a family of 5 was killed when they slide on the icy road, lost control of the mini-van and went head-on into a semi, that is just terrible. Okay I am just blabbing away.
Hope everyone is doing fine and having a nice day.
Titanic may have gone down, but I'm still floating!
Thanks for the life preservers girls! Lord, I had a hormonal boost of something! I was just sooo upset over everything. I wanted to do like Shanna said and just crawl in bed but after last night, everything was "On Top Of Mount Washmore....Needing a scrub.... Kids lost all their pizza..... I threw them in the tub..... " Sing it with me girls! O.k.- at least I found my weird sense of humor again. Do y'all ever look around the house and just wish you could declare it a disaster area and move? No harm- no foul! I swear I felt like that today! It must be getting close to TOM because EVERYTHING has grated on my one last nerve today. Sorry- don't mean to dump on you all, but the house isn't usually this bad, and with little sleep and a whiney baby.... uh... I meant to say sick hubby.... I thought I was gonna crack! I finally got up, combed my hair, and went grocery shopping after popping one of those awful Listerine things that melt in your mouth. Those things taste soooo bad that I usually don't want to eat anything for at least 45 minutes. I think I just needed to get out of this house for a while and procrastinate on all the housework. It still needs a good cleaning, but looks a little better.
Shanna- LOLOLOLOLOL O.k.- Let me get this straight..... did you say there's a new clothing trend on campus.. air-conditioned panties? LOLOLOL O.k.- I'm not laughing with you.... I'm laughing at you.... no wait... I think it's supposed to be the other way around! And as for the spelling... I certainly hope that you meant to say "Thank god I wasn't wearing a thong today" cuz you actually said "Thank god I wasn't wearing a thing today!" Are you absolutely sure that Justin Timberlake doesn't attend classes on campus somewhere? Maybe he mistook you for Janet Jackson?!? Sorry for laughing at your misery but you did cheer me up! O.k. ladies- when we all get to meet, I'm hiring a stripper. He's gonna start off in a dental costume, strip down to chain mail, then end up in a pair of those leather shorts with the butt cheeks cut out! How's that sound? Oh, Shanna! I thought things like that only happened to me. Seriously, I really do feel bad for you. And I wonder how many people noticed without saying anything. I'm one of those that will tell you that you have a big gob of spinach between your teeth so I get aggravated when someone won't tell me something like that! Sorry you had a bummed out day too! Now I feel bad for wallowing over nothing.
Cristi- Thanks girl! And I really don't think it was because I didn't have much in the house to eat- I just needed an excuse to get out and drive down the road. I was climbing the walls and dreading housework. Oh how scary for you and DH! I'm glad he's o.k. Has he figured out what he had a reaction to? The spine-tingiling would have been what really scared me. Is he doing o.k. now? And I hate to drive in bad weather. I remember almost missing my first final in college. The roads were so bad that my dad had to drive me and our 45 minute trip took us almost 3 hours! If it had just been us on the road it wouldn't have been so bad, but you're right about people driving with a stupid license during slick conditions. I'm glad we don't get much ice here. And with our jobs, if it is bad, we don't have to leave the house cuz you can't pour concrete in bad weather and the schools close.
Uh... Shanna.... I just reread my post..... and well.... uh... when I said "Sorry you had a bummed out day".... pardon the pun! Get it? Bummed.... out.... I think that was a Freudian slip.
Shanna~some how I missed your posts-sorry! That is too funny and I feel for you at the same time! Okay, it is funny now but I would have been mortified! You don't have to apologize for typing errors girly, we all do it. We would NEVER think you are a ******. Hope the rest of your day went better.
Kayecee~I didn't really mean that you didn't have groceries in the house but me. Seems whenever there is nothing in the house I crave anything and everything. Although pizza sounded good today, very good, I didn't have any delivered. DS is fine, I guess it was just an allergic reaction to something because he came home and took a benedryl as per the dr order and went to bed.
Just thought I would check in again ladies. My day has been quite boring. I am procrastinating big time, I don't want to pack anymore. I guess I am going to go and try to read a book. Has anyone read Eat, Drink & Be Healthy? I am trying to read it but have found it to be quite boring. I think I may just be tired of reading so many diet books. Take care ladies, see ya
Sorry Shanna been there done that...twice! Ive gone to work wearing my pants inside out...Ive gone to work forgetting what color my bra is,,,NEON PINK and I have to wear a thin WHITE top...hmmmm gee I wonder what color her undies are...lol
As for the listerine paper things you had Kaycee,,,I even have an embarrassing moment with that. Just recently, I had gone for lunch,,came back to work and had a couple of ladies walk in,,,me being concious of my garlicy breath thought Id pop ONE in my mouth...nope somehow I had way more then one,,,I kept walking,,,then as soon as I got to them I started gagging! GAGGING? Why me Lord? I had tears running down my face,,,those two ladies must of thought I was either a freak or they were going to have to do the hymlick (SP) But as sad as that is,,,a couple of years ago I bought some Startbuck's coffee mints...those little things...(powerful little %@$) Anyways I was sucking on one and somehow I swallowed it but it didn't go down I coughed it up but it went into my nasal passage..(ya it was a sight to see and hear) Anyways ,,,the only way I can describe the pain was...like snorting chili powder...not that I ever have.
SO Shanna,,,I am hoping by this post you understand that, if there is something embarrassing to be done...HELLO...here I am.
btw I could go on about other things happening to me.....*sigh I am such a geek
Cristi I would have been freaking about the drive...cause well it sounds like we have had the same weather,,except lately its been soooo cold.
Tanner went for his first haircut in 6 months. Almost 3 inches cut...he looks sooo clean cut and smart now...tomorrow we color it blue....lol
Marti...my favorite saying lately is...
I am NOBODY,,, no body is perfect...there fore I am perfect.
Saturday was closing night...a night of tears...it was so emotional,,,the play it self but also the party afterwards. The cast signed a mounted poster for me. I cried,,, One of my favorite cast members got up and talked about how moved he was to have been part of this...he cried,,,,I cried. The Director got up talked about how we all made a difference...his wife cried, I cried. Tanner (my shy child) went up infront of over a 100 used the mike and thanked everyone for making his first show a wonderful experience,,,thanked them for being nice to him, thanked the director for teaching him stuff....he got choked up,,,many cried...I bawled.
I slept till 3 pm Sunday. Did one load of laundry,,,went out for dinner and came home and went back to bed at 6:45
I was transferred to another store for 2 weeks...and so far I am hating (yes I know hate is a strong word) I went back to my store after I was off and gee how pathetic but I cried on the SS shoulder... And no I am not PMSing...that was 2 weeks ago.
Anyways I need to get to bed,,,
night all
Angie
My Oh My!! I've been sitting here reading all the post today with this "HUGE" grin on my face!! Nothing like coming here to get a little chuckle when you're feeling down.
Well, I guess I'm not really feeling down…..just worn out. My allergies are trying to declare war in my head and it's very irritating. Not unbearable quite yet...I'm hoping to put an end to it...but only later to have Spring come along faster than I can blink an eye and throw a bomb at me!!
Ok...who to start with first..................
Jana-- I'll start with you since you were the first poster for the morning! Thank you for the reposting the prayer. I guess you can say that I'm too lazy to go back to some of the post and find it there. I will print it in word, make it look real nice then cut it out all fancy looking and stick it in the book. Which reminds me, since I'm a newbie when it comes to scrap books, what do you used to "paste" it in your book? Is there a "special" glue or will any glue do? I need all kinds of info!!(hey! I just got my answer from Cristi....got to chat awhile) Unfortunately, I didn't get around to getting a picture taken yet nor did I start the FT diet....been feeling icky and just wanted to lay down and do nothing. Hate feeling that way. I told James that we are shopping this weekend and I will start in next Monday. Also get my picture taken then too. I will just use what ever date that is to take it each month. Can you say "PROCRASTINATOR"? If I do start feeling better this week I will get it started, it just seems that it would be easier to start it at the beginning of the week.
Kayecee--I know all about being in a funk! My house really needs a "Clean Sweep" although it's never as bad as some of the people on that show!! But my house is in turmoil right now. Especially my kitchen!! Anyone want to come over and do my dishes?? Shanna, you're the closest to me...come on over! I heard about the Janet Jackson incident on the radio...sure wish that I could have seen that. Wasn't intentional I hear......I don't think so....
So you're not one to keep your mouth shut when someone has something up? (shocked!) Hee-hee...funny, because when I worked at Sony...apparently I didn't have that problem either. In fact, a guy had been walking around with his fly undone and nobody would say anything , just talk about it. Well eventually, they came to me to go tell him. (I didn't know otherwise I would have said something before) Went over to tell him and him being a joker anyway....was very nice about it. Just laughed and zipped up. So it was like "what was so hard about that?"
Cristi--Was great chatting with you. Thank you for all the info on scrapbooking. I'm going to check out the glue dots. Hopefully I will find some. I will also check out some of the information online, see what I can find. It's going to be fun once I get started. IF I ever get started!! I'm so glad to hear you got a house!! How wonderful! With a basement too!! My great aunt and uncle have a home with a huge basement and they turned it into a family room. (They have a huge family) There is a fireplace, a bathroom, a bar....at one time they had a pool table down there. It was so nice. It's been years since I've been there, I have no idea how it looks now.
Angie--Good to see you pop in! I would be so proud of Jhanai if she got up and thanked everyone for supporting her! You must be very proud of Tanner. What a sweet young man!! You've done good!! I would have loved to seen the show. You'll have to take photos (or did you already?) of your next show, and post them. Get one of the whole crew all dressed up. Make sure you're in there too!!
Oh!!!! Now Kayecee.....Angie said that if you post, she'll post....so snap a picture and post!
Katie--I hope we didn't lose you! I enjoyed your last post. Come on back!
Shanna---Sure wish I could have seen the look on your face when you realized you were flashin everyone around! But I do feel for ya...don't think that has ever happened to me...........now, I remember back in grade school walking out of the girls bathroom with the back of my dress tucked into my tights! And of coarse it took a boy to point that out to me!!
My weekend was good. I bought Jhanai some colored sand to put into glass to give to family. I ended up with three of them!! I also got her a latch hook to start. She was a bit frustrated when I first showed her how to do it, but once she got started she did fine. Although,,,,she only did one little row!
Ok...I started this post hours ago, had to get some things done so I copied and pasted into word.....I didn't realize how long it was!! Sorry ladies.....hope you can still read after all this!
...if you don't see me for a few days at a time, it's just my crazy schedule. I work overtime almost every day at work, and my beloved hubby the technogeek works nights, but is home on Sunday and Monday so it's hard to get on the 'puter those days ...and my teenage boys live with their dad but are here every weekend starting Friday night so that demands a bit of attention too...
Anyway, I popped on over the weekend and read everybody, just didn't get a chance to sit down and respond. Sooooooooooo...
Cristi - Homegirl!!!! I was born in Bellflower, went to high school in Lakewood (Mayfair) and worked at Cerritos Mall. I came up to Northern CA when I graduated and have been here pretty much ever since, except for a few months that I lived in Montana. I saw the Clean Sweep show once, and liked it, but my favorite show right now is Clean House on the Style Network. I want them to come make my house beautiful and organized. I want to be able to invite people over at the drop of a hat, without worrying about my dust mice...er...bunnies...er...elephants...
Marti - Well, every book or tape on Pilates I've seen looks a bit advanced for me...unless they have one called "Pilates for Totally Out Of Shape Wimps"? It does look like a great program though, very effective. Have you ever done scrapbooking before? If not, just make sure everything is acid-free -- ink, stickers, paper, etc. -- so your pictures aren't damaged over time. What a great idea to chronicle your weightloss with pics in the same outfit as you go. If I did one, I think I optimistically would title it, "The Incredible Shrinking Woman" And I can relate to going into the job market feeling like your skills are outdated. I got married at 18, was a stay-at-home mom for most of 15 years, then got a divorce and went out to get my first full time job -- wow, that was an experience! I love where I work now, though: customer service for a utility company.
Kaycee - I am a double couponer too. I'd be so upset if my local store stopped their program! It's happened before though. Doesn't it feel great to get laundry soap for a dollar, or toothpaste for free? I hope a store in your area starts offering them again. I missed Janet's infamous Superbowl Peekaboo, but I loved the Jimi Hendrix Coke vs. Pepsi commercial I sure hope everyone at your house is starting to feel better. Watch a good movie, curl up on the sofa under a comfy blanket, and pamper yourself a bit. No Twinkies in your bra, though!!! They get all squishy and gross... heeheehee...
Shanna - are you "SqueakMouse"? Love the nick Thanks for the welcome -- yep, had to get another Jaded Lady here on the West Coast. Keeps the country well balanced, kind of like a teetertotter! And watch the drafts from behind
Jana - oh sheesh...didn't realize you needed my snail mail address. I'll send that to you PM here. And can you email the info about Wendie vs. FT? And good for you for staying OP even at the concert! I'm sure you mentioned it somewhere here, but I missed it...who did you see?
OK, it's late, and hubby is trying to get me to bed so I can wake up tomorrow. Wishing you all sweet dreams,
Angie~Sounds like the show was awesome! I too wish I could have seen it. What a great son you have, I bet he made momma very proud. Blue hair huh? Someone was just talking about their DD having blue hair the other day-can't remember who. My son tried to dye his hair red but his hair is black and it didn't take-thank GOD! I would have freaked because he has such beautiful black hair, what little he has. He shaves his head because his hair is so thick and he gets dandruff bad and when it's hot it itches, and he just got tired of it. Of course several times he said he was going to grow it out and that lasted about a month. He actually looks good with the almost bald head.
Marti~It was nice chatting with you and sorry I cut it short. Something else I forgot to mention is mounting squares-they are great for pictures. They are like little bitty squares of double-sided tape. I will send you some because I have a couple of boxes that I don't use since discovering the glue dots. for the well wishes on the house. I NEED to get to work packing TODAY! I have procrastinated enough. I sent the basic list to you this morning along with a few other pages of tips and ideas, actually I had DH do it. Our PO Box is across from his job so he goes there either before or after work.
Katie~Glad to see ya post. I know Bellflower and Cerritos well, shopped that mall a zillion times! Or so it seems. Some days I miss CA really bad, especially the food and the beach! Of course the weather.
Hi Jana, Shanna & Kayecee
Well, ladies I need to make this short because I plan on doing some damage today. I AM going to get A LOT of packing done. Take care all and have a good day. I'll be back later this evening.
Kayecee - hope you are feeling better today. Aunt Flo will be there and gone again before you know it. Think of the alternative - you could be preggers again!!
Marti - I use the little mounting tapes, which are little bitty sticky things when I scrapbook. If you buy them, get them at Wal-mart, they are much less expensive there. So are the fancy- edged scissors.
Cristi - hey I want details about your house!! Did you get more packing done? Glad your DS is feeling better.
Shanna - hope your butt isn't hanging out today! LOL!! You do know you'll never live that down, don't you?
Angie - your closing night sounded so heartfelt! Before you know it, you'll be working on another play, though. Sorry you hate your job - are you looking for another one yet?
Katie - the overtime is a bear, but the money is good, right? We saw "1964 - A Tribute" which features a group who look, sound, and mimic the Beatles so much that you feel as though you are watching the Fab Four!
Well, I am at the library in town. My computer obviously has something major wrong... and I don't know what! I opened a forwarded email from Mary's MIL, and I knew at the time I would be sorry, and I think that it had a virus! I just hope we can fix it!
I am going to another concert, which you younger ones may not even know who they are, but it's the Bellamy Brothers!! I am so excited I could just scream!! I've wanted to see them for years!! Anyway, it's not til April 3, but that will be here before we know it.
I gotta go get some other work done on this computer before they tell me my time is up!
I have a little time before I need to get going to school so I thought I would take the time and chat a bit.
Katie--Glad to see you post. I totally understand about the working over time and not getting a chance on the computer. Although....since the company closed, I'm on here quite a bit! Oh..BTW, I am going to be sending out Valentines Cards this next week and I would like to send one to all the Jaded Ladies...if you don't mind, could you PM me your home address? I will add you to my list. ONLY if you would like too, no obligations!
Cristi--Not a problem cutting it short. I tend to ramble on at times....but I didn enjoy the chat we had. And thank you for sending out the tips and ideas! I'm looking forward to seeing them!
Jana--I hope you didn't get a virus! James and I update our computer every week. I have no idea if that helps or not, but once we got a message saying that the mail we have is harmful to open (or something like that) so we immediately deleted it. Haven't had problems since.
Angie--Blue hair? My daughter wants purple streaks in her hair. Once her dad took her to get her hair done, she came back with a color weave, different shades of blonde. I had no idea...but it looked cute! Her dad colors his hair often so I know better than to try and talk her out of it. Plus, it eventually comes out. As long as she is not getting body piercings and tattoos right now...I'm ok!
Shanna--Are you wearing boxers this morning!? Just teasing you girl. Hope today was a better day for you.
Kayecee--How are you doing? Did you pack what stuff you wanted and just moved, or have you tackled your house? Last night I cleaned up my kitchen. It drove me crazy! Two days of dishes sitting around. Two days!! What in the world was I doing in those two days!!??? Today after school, will be my floors. I'm sure I have another dog somewhere once I sweep up all the hair on the floors!!
I spent some time on my hair this morning.....I am debating if I want to let it grow out a little...let be long again.. I miss pulling my hair up and just going! But if I ever get back down to the wait I'm happy with...I'm sure it'll all come right back off!
Ok..I'm rambling on about nothing here so I better get ready for school. You all take care....
Well, well, ladies, it is sure nice to know that my pain can bring ya'all such pleasure. I knew there was a reason I was on this site. hee hee. I know it was all in fun, and I can laugh at it know. The day did go downhill from there though. I spilled a whole glass of strawberry milk on myself and my couch at dinner and then I had to sit threw a terrible movie my boyfriend rented. I am not a big fan of Kevin Costner and my man rented "Open Range", just new out on video. The man can't get it through his thick head that I don't have to be interested in the same things he is. If I don't want to rent or see a movie he does it is the end of the world. Men...Sheesh. Oh.. for everyone's info I am wearing plain old underwear today, with a good pair of pants. What a bunch of old perverts, interested in my undergarments and all. hee hee hee.
Marti: Well miss thinks she is a comedian, I hope someday your cheap Old Navy pants spilt in public, and I hope i am there to witness it. The laughter will be deafening. I enjoyed talking with you last night, it is not often I get phone calls. Sometimes I forget that there is anything besides instant messaging. I am sure thomas edison is rolling in his grave listening to that comment. hee hee. I look forward to doing some scrap booking together, I hope to pick up some more stuff at Michaels tomorrow. Who knows?/ So many errands, so little time. Oh the humanity of it all.
Katiecat: Sorry hon, there is no excuse for being away for two days at a time. I know from experience. Kayecee will hunt you down and cut you with her words if you are away longer than she deems necessary. That woman is vicious and very tenacious. She is like a loveable funny pit bull. Hee hee hee heee. I am just kidding with ya kayecee. But I just to warn the poor new girl, so she has a heads up on you chasing after her.
Kayecee: Glad you are feeling better hon. I could tell by your sarcasm and puns that you were back to your old self. You crack me up so many times, even when you are making fun of me. Because, like my cousin says" I am rubber and you are glue. Whatever you say, bounces off of me and sticks to you" THe words of wisdom from a five year old. AAAHHHHHHH, the fun times of youth. Good times...good times.
Cristi and da fat and da furious: It sure is nice to know that I am not the only one who has bad things happen to them. I swear I am a magnet for bad energy. I trip, run into walls, have birds poop on my head (four times!!), sneezing and get boogerage and have to run to the bathroom with hand over face, spill things on myself, ( ie. food, drinks, paint, mouthwash, toothpaste, etc) and now I rip my pants in public and not know for at least 18 feet. I am a walking disaster area. I should have one of those hazardous chemical signs on my forehead. At leats I can laugh about it later and joke about myself. That is my motto: Even when things get bad, laugh, because it will make you feel better. There is no use crying over stupid stuff, it isn't going to change what happenned or what will happen. Just ask marti, I am one big goober, goofball, sillypants, etc. etc.
To anyone else I missed, I will catch ya later and I hope you are having a wonderful day. I better go sit my butt in front of the T.V. After all, that is how you lose weight, right?????? And here is where I end my novel......
Trying to get some powerpoint done, but don't have the templates she wants us to put in there here at home....I have to wait until tomorrow to get all that! Nothing like getting it all last minute.
Shanna---Well miss Shanna, I have to say that my Old Navy Jeans did split on me not to long ago...I just happen to be home at the time that it happened! What's funny is I still wear them around the house with a long shirt over them...but if I bend over, my daughter is like "geez mom! The whole neighborhood can see your butt!" The whole neighborhood?? Are they peeking into my home?? And I do wear a thong so it's all skin being exposed...hmmm....maybe I ought to consider tossing those.....
Today was a very uneventful day. I should have done much more. I did make it out to Wal-mart and bought myself a scrapbook magazine. I told James that I can easily get hooked on creating things. Especially if I have someone who will do it with me. (got that Shanna!)
My uncle makes these scrapbook boxes...actually I'm not sure what he calls them, but it's a box with drawers and stuff...my grandma is going to try to get me one. Now how nice is that? I'm going to have to buy stuff to put in it if she does!!! (that can get scary!) $$$$$$$$
Well ladies.....I'm going to try and get some more powerpoint done...and some other homework. What a way to spend my night.
When you use photo's do you girls use the original/actual photo or are you scanning them and printing them on different paper? I have many copies of old photos that I thought I would use...so I was curious!
Marti - why would your weight determine how you wear your hair? that confused me, although confusing me is a very easy thing to do. LOL! About scrapbooking, the experts say to not use an original picture, but I do it all the time. I feel like I am protecting it by mounting it on anti-acid paper, so it is safer there than anywhere else. Also, I slip each of my finished pages into a clear cover sheet, because we look at our pics so much, and that keeps fingerprints off. If you buy the cover sheets, they are waaaayyy less expensive in the office supply section at Wal-mart than at a scrapbook store, and are acid-free, too.
Shanna -Tonight should be your night to watch a chick flick! Tell DB he has to compromise! Glad to know your butt is covered!
Mom2Gaby - hope you jump in here and chat with us. As you can see, we're crazy, but harmless. Angie is a good friend to have!
Hi also to the others.
Well, I kept turning the computer off and on, off and on, and finally the Windows screen came up! Before that, it just said "Operating system not found" on a black screen. It makes me realize how much I take this laptop for granted after running to the library in the snow yeterday! Katie laughed when I told her I couldn't get her computer to go on-line - I kept forgetting to put in the password!
There is absolutely nothing I have to do today, so I think I'll visit Mary and spoil the grandkids for awhile. Then I'm going to give myself a manicure and pedicure.
My valentines are addressed and ready to mail! Mom2Gaby, and Katie, if you want one, PM me your addresses!!
Hey girls! Just a quick pop-in so Shanna doesn't send The Rock after me or something! Vallory is still sick! She got sick Sunday night, felt fine and dandy on Monday, then I had to go and get her at the babysitter's yesterday. My doctor called in some phenergan suppositories for the vomiting, but after the first one, she decided that she didn't like that "booty medicine." Go figure. Anyway, I am going to take her to the doctor at 11:00. I'm afraid she's going to dehydrate.
Cristi- How's the packing going? Tell us all about your house.
Jana- PREGGERS?!? Thanks but I think I'll keep Aunt Flo! How old is your laptop? I know that I saw something in my notes about "Operating System Not Found." Do you have Windows XP or an older version? I've heard that there have been a few problems with the XP. If not, you could be having a hard drive go bad or a boot sector failure. There could also be a loose connection somewhere on the motherboard. Sorry, none of that probably helped you did it?
Katie- Glad to see you! One reason that I love to teach- NO OVERTIME! Well, except for parent/teacher conferences and our annual fall festival. I liked the Jimi Hendrix commercial, but I think one of my favorites was the one with all of the kids who had soap in their mouths because they said some ugly words when they saw a new car.
Shanna- I hope you don't have another em"bareass"ing day. LOLOLOL That was cute. (not your butt- your pun ) Oh and you're right, sitting on your butt in front of the t.v. is a great weight loss plan. That's how I keep my slim physique.
Marti- (Psssstttttt.... If I were you, I wouldn't ever walk to closely to Shanna..... but don't tell her I said that....I wouldn't want to hurt her feelings or anything.) LOL I hope you get your scrapbooking chest that you want. I get a lot of stuff from a local auction. Once I got 2 boxes of sheet protectors for 50 cents. I also have a large metal letter divider at school that I gave 5 bucks for. I told Tim that I'd like to bring it home sometime and use it for my scrapbooking papers. (like he will ever do it! )
Angie- As for your listerine strips and Starbuck's coffee mint episodes, all I can say is LLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. Sorry, y'all can tell I'm a real good friend who would never make fun of anyone else's misery. That was a good story! I think we need a new thread with nothing but embarassing moments. They would probably kick us off here for taking up too much bandwidth though.
