ww bagel w/ cream cheese, egg, spinach, pepeprs 1 1/2 cups vegs., and brown rice w/ 3 tbsp. cheese sauce 1 spring roll w/ peanut sauce ww bagel w/ cream cheese 8 oz. orange juice brocolli-ramen salad w/ 2 tbsp. cashews ff frozen strawberry yogurt At the end of the day, I felt all 'fat' and weird. And I only had 3 cups of water too. Good workouts; food's off though. I'll have to be more vigilant tomorrow. I've also noticed that I'm in the habit of eating rather fast--what's up with that? |
Food yesterday was good....here goes.
1/2 C oatmeal 1/4 C raspberries 2 C coffee w/5% cream 2 C salad...romaine, feta, black olives, peppers, celery 1 tbsp greek dressing 1 C cut raw veggies (celery, peppers, zuccini) 2 tbsp hummus (snack a la Eydie!) 3 reg pancakes 4 apple pancakes 11 breakfast sausages syrup (but not too much) applesauce 2 C coffee Yesterday was Shrove Tuesday you know. No food after 7, 5 c water , 20 minutes treadmill. A good day! Ceara |
Running late but couldn't resist posting Elberta's latest experiment ... hi, to stalwart Demon Food Fighters Ceara and Eydie ... yep, Ceara, I forgot to eat pancakes on Shrove Tuesday but will eat these muffins today:
Bodybuilder’s Double Corn Muffins 1/2 cup self rising flour 1/2 cup whole wheat flour 3/4 cup cornmeal 3 tsp. baking powder 1/2 cup frozen corn, thawed 1 tsp. canola oi Dill Chives 2 packets Splenda 1 container Eggbeaters (to equal two eggs) Spray muffin pans with zero cal canola spray. Mix ingredients and divide into 12 muffin cups (with an ice cream scoop). Bake at 400 degrees for approximately 15 minutes. Approximately 75.83 calories each. :wave: |

Eydie, I don't know about the pancakes ... what bothers me is that they also call it "Fat Tuesday" (I think)! Don't even wanna think about that! Here's my menu ... I've planned in two packs o' peanut butter cups on the way to my assignment ... let's not tell my brother, since I've vowed to give up :devil: food forever. So this menu includes the pb cups. Shrove Tuesday is the last day before Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent. There are lots of traditions based on this including Mardi Gras. Shrove Tuesday was the day of feasting because back in the days before religious freedoms, you fasted for 6 weeks of Lent...no fat, no eggs no whatever they enforced. So that Tuesday was the day where you "cleaned out the fridge or larder" so to speak. Here we do pancake suppers...as lip service to using up the eggs and milk I guess...will look up origins of shrove.
Menu yestiday. 1 orange 1/2 c oatmeal 1/4 c raspberries 2 c coffee w/ 5% cream 2 c multi-bean salad 1 tbsp greek dressing 1 c veggies 2tbsp hummus 1 leancuisine type frozen dinner 1 small apple 4 c water AFTER 7!!! 1 c mashed potatoes w grated carrots 1 greek pita 4 tbsp hummus 1 oz cheese Had the cruisin' the kitchen thing goin' on there. No wine, no sweets...which are what I've given up for Lent (except for 1 piece of b-day cake, b-day is today, at my husband's b-day dinner which will be tomorrow night) .) 20 min treadmill, 15 minutes walking to and from weighin. ball playing. Yesterday's eating was ok dokey but involved pb cups again. Calories 1595, didn't write down specifics but will today!!!! Yay!!! Everyone in the Demon Food Slayer Brigade be doing excellanto ... me as well!!! I've noticed that I seem to have confined my junk food buying to only pb cups, so that's a step forward, I think! Gotta go! :)

my little goddaughter sent me the girl scout cookies i ordered from her a while back. i gave away all the boxes fast, because the couple of boxes i was planning on giving to a friend (when i saw her in a few days) began calling to me. my friend may be out the cookies (which she didn't even know about anyway), but those cookies are no longer here to call to me. felt good to get rid of those things. granted, it would be even better not to let them call to me, but recognizing that they wouldn't last long in my apt. without ending up in me and taking postive action felt pretty good-a moral victory!
have been sticking to my pre-planned menus the past couple of weeks now to keep it very simple during pre-move stress. has been working well thus far. plan to do same again tomorrow. |

Double Corn Muffin (95) EAS Carb Control vanilla shake (100) EAS Carb Control vanilla shake (100) 1/4 cup Scots oatmeal (75) 1 T. turbinado sugar (45) Butter spray for day (10) EAS Carb Control vanilla shake (100) 1/4 cup Scotts oatmeal (75) 1 T. turbinado (45) 1/4 cup Scotts oatmeal (75) 1 T. turbinado (45) Double corn muffin (95) EAS Carb Control vanilla shake (100) 2 double corn muffins (190) Crabcake (170) Corn (70) Brocolli w/lf cheese sauce (50) EAS Carb Control vanilla shake (100) 1 Apricot Bar* (70) 1 1/2 EAS Carb Control vanilla shake (150) Total: 1760 :) *Recipe: 1/2 cup whole wheat flour 1 cup Scottish oatmeal 1 tsp. baking powder 1 scoop Designer Whey Vanilla Praline protein powder (or other) 1/3 cup Splenda 1/2 T canola oil 2 T turbinado 4 T sugar free apricot preserves 1/2 EAS Carb Control vanilla shake Mix ingredients. Line pan w/foil and spray with zero cal canola spray. Spread batter in pan and bake at 350 for approximately 12 minutes or until done. Cut into 12 squares of approximately 70 calories each. |
