vote for the casinos so i can come down and gamble me arse off----wabby i think cherry means Cathe Freidreich or something like that----do a search---she is a SERIOUS hardbody!!!
|
Oh sweet Cherry, I found the Cathe tapes at Collage Video, but they all say intermediate level, and I'm definitely at beginner, slow as a slug, muscles of rubberband level. That's why I ordered the Basic Firm video, and that will probably be too hard for me. Remember, I'm an old lady.
It's Bunco time on saturday night. The highlight of my pitiful social life. It's so cold here, and it's dark and wintery, and I want summer back. We have casinos all over the place here. I've never been there. I like my money too much. Even when we went to Vegas I didn't gamble, except for the nickel machines. I would lose 5 bucks and then obsess about what I could have bought with that money. I'm not a compulsive gambler. I only have room for one compulsion in my life, and food is it. :hun: |

Some of Cathe's strength training tapes are really appropriate for beginners. Not her cardio, though.
I'm currently putting off doing a Cathe cardio tape. I'm tired and I'm subbing at religious ed tonight... which means if I want to do a tape, I have to start within 20 minutes. I have to work out. The scale said 176 today... the highest in two months! ARGH! Must stay out of the peanut butter cups! I don't like gambling. Just one of my quirks. DH likes it, but not in an addictive way. |
okay,so i went to have the Dreaded Pap Test today ---GROSSSSSSSS ME OUUUUUUTTTTT----i got weighed with all me clothes on ---they used the REAL scale with the weights-------no cheating here--------okay,i was shocked------ONE FORTY NINE.So I guess point counting works wabby------if i can get to your weight of 145 i will be in shock--------That is 11 pounds in two months--------------that is NOT VERY FAST!!!!!!--------it has been a dreary struggle most of the time--------NOW the hard part of maintaining seems impossible to me,so whatever shall we do?????

You're doing it!! :cp: :balloons: I'm not. But I really must -- why would I want to be a chub forever anyway? Here's my new goal: 30 lbs by February. When I go to NYC to see a Broadway show. One cannot be fat in New York City; it's simply not done. Okay, I'll start tomorrow, after I finish these Reese's cups :s: Seriously, I have to change my sig, because it is nothing but a big lie, and figure out what it will take to be Not a Hog on Broadway. Pilates
That's what I did this morning. Belly, butt and thighs all in 30 mins. I'm aiming for looking just like Daisy Fuentes some time next week. Official weight (mine, not Daisy's): 150 lbs. which means I actually lost 10 pounds somewhere along the way. Only took me about three years! :D Another 10 would make my VERY happy. My brother had NO food in the house so it was easy not to eat. Now that I have to feed the kids and dh again, it's getting harder. Oh well. Men like big butts.
Getting an early start on Christimas displays: two large plastic candy canes from the dollar store in Halifax. Canadian content, don't you know. *Ahem*:o - are those lacey shorts comfortable, Wabby? I'm getting pretty bored with the baggy bloomers and looking for something new that's NOT a thong. Is the lace itchy? I can't stand itchy underwear. |
Bagzie! 149 on the real doctor scale??!!!! Wowzer!!!!! That is so great! And 11 pounds in 2 months is wonderful, wonderful. Slow and steady wins the race. I need to go see my Dr. because she said if I lost some weight I might be able to go off the blood pressure meds, and that was 25 pounds ago.
Kiwi, count points with us. It's boring, it's tedious, it's no fun, but it works. I've been reading the online journal of a woman who has lost 20 pounds by following WW points system only 3 days of the week. It took her 8 months to do it, but hey, 20 pounds is alot. Count points and dazzle New York. Sugar, if that tape makes you look like Daisy Fuentes in a week, send me a copy. And *ahem* those lacy shorts are pretty comfy and no panty lines in slacks. |
Thank you most gracious cows for you support------Kiwi---Wabby is correct---it is stultifyingly boring but it actually works AND---when you actually start to lose, you do gain a bit of momentum----i had a BAD week last week and felt like giving up,but I am back on track again---i find reading the message boards at WW.ca is motivating-------WABBY TELL US WHERE THE ONLINE JOURNAL IS---I WANT TO READ ABOU THIS CHICK-----I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE IT SO I DO WWPOINTS ALL WEEK AND RELAX ON THE WEEKEND!!!! XOXOXOXOXO-----Sugsie---i have granny panties and if i can lose another five pounds or so,maybe i will consider some 'briefs'-----hey girls ---remember the not so skinny chicks we met who LOVED their thongs!!!!

It's www.kitchenlite.diaryland.com
Read the archives, because she's in a slump right now. Kind of like us, huh? |
Haha, I've been in a slump since 1999!
Congrats to Bagzie and Sugar P for losing weight! Woo hoo! I still have the extra 5 pounds and I have no idea where they came from (what huge bowl of Halloween candy? I have no idea what you're talking about!) |
A local newspaper, not mine, has given a middle school boy a cooking column. Here is a recipe he is sharing with us:
Shredded BBQ chicken burgers 4 TBSP apple cider vinegar 1/2 C maple syrup 2 TSP lemon juice 1/4 C soy sauce 2 TBSP Worchestershire 1 TBSP garlic powder 1 TBSP white distilled vinegar 1/2 C Karo light corn syrup 1/2 C honey 1 TBSP white balsamic vinegar 1 TBSP molasses 1/2 C liquid smoke 1/2 TSP ground cayenne 1/2 TSP honey mustard 2 TBSP strawberry jam 2 TBSP Grey Poupon Dijon 1 medium-large onion, diced 1 TSP minced garlic 1 TSP bacon fat (optional) 3 boneless skinless chicken breasts. 1 package hamburger buns 2 TSP cornstarch water This recipe makes 3 burgers. |
Oh, good godalmighty, that recipe is just what he could find in his mother's cupboard! Sounds revolting.

i tried the link but it wouldn't work for me wabby---i went to Diaryland and looked under the k's and there was no kitchenlite-------------you have me intrigued!!!!

It's been a while since anyone mentioned how much they miss me. I only have one more week. I was supposed to be finished last week, but they asked me to stay till the end of the marking period...and HOW CAN THAT GIRL LEAVE A THREE MONTH OLD BABY????? I'm so glad I never had to do that when I had babies.
Life is good. DD had her Ring Mass tonight..she got her class ring(to the tune of 400 bucks, does anyone even know where their class ring is??????) and they had a nice party to celebrate. I have NOTHING to say. I do nothing, go nowhere. My life is pretty much limited to whining and trying to catch up. It's almost over. BTW...Peaches...that's how my middle school boys cook. AND they write their recipes out just like Betty Crocker. Off to bed...thanks June, bye |

I CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT TO MENTION HOW MUCH I MISS LUSHIOUS!!!!---DID I TELL YOU I HAVE A CHRISTMAS DISPLAY UP ????? I READ ABOUT A WOMAN WHO STARTS THE DAY AFTER HALLOWE'EN---SHE IS MY NEW HERO
|
I don't know why it doesnt' work Bagzie. Try it without the www at the beginning.
Lush! I was pining away for you, just didn't want to nag when I know how busy you are. I never got a class ring. When you're the 4th child of 6 children you're lucky to get lunch money. That is a classic Jr. high recipe. I remember making Deviled Spam sandwiches when I was in Jr. high. Now that's cookin'!!! Bagzie, why would you want to start the day after Halloween? I'm already sick of looking at holiday stuff in the stores. Of course Scrooge is my middle name. |
This works!
