    Sorry, I have been away. Now I am back home again.
    Got a husband and dog who definitely missed me I see.
    Pumpkins are turning orange. One rotted, but one small one I rescued.
    Got a big one that is half green and orange, so it will be ready in a few days.
    Cut my sunflowers last week and have the heads drying on my porch.
    Surprisingly, they are full of seeds. Guess the bees found them after all.
    Definitely hot here, but suppose to cool down for the weekend.

    I haven't been eating/exercising as well as I should have been this past week.
    Now that I am home again, I will get back on track again.

    Renee-did you just delete your post? I thought for sure I saw it here just a minute ago and was getting ready to reply to it. So strange. It said you were going to visit your orthopedic doctor and had more hay to bring in. Perhaps I was looking at an old post somewhere??? Hope you are doing fine. [It was, I found it for 29 June]

    Tomorrow I got to get my Flu shot. Next week is Tetanus. Then I should be good for a while.

    I have a horse show on Sunday and it will be the last one for the year. I found a great little girl who is thrilled to show him for me. She's been training with him and I think she'll do great. Steel's pretty much push-button.

    Was a chilly 42 this morning, so I felt like baking an apple pie. It made the house smell like Fall.

    No change for me this week...I'm in such a rut. I didn't buy any snacks at the store this week so hopefully the scale will smile at me next week. Hope you did better than me!

    No loss for me yesterday! Ugh! That is dreadful. We both need to figure out a way to get those numbers dropping again. This calls for something definitely different. I will need to brainstorm on this for just a bit...any suggestions are appreciated.

    How did Steele and the little girl do today?

    Wow, 42 degrees is cool. I think we had 48 degrees this morning. I had to wear something on my head covering my ears, just to make sure the cool air didn't get me sick. Too quick of a change here.

    Mmmm, fresh warm apple pie is yummy!!!

    Good job at the grocery store avoiding those snacks. Now you won't have to worry about those temptations in the house.

    Steel and Carolyn went in 3 classes and won all 3 and the grand championship. She was so happy! I think she's hooked! She's easy to teach. She really listens and soaks it all in.

    It was 38 when I left for the show this morning but then really warmed -up and was beautiful.

    I'm going to try really hard this week to stick to a small portions and better food choices. The scale IS going downward on Saturday!

    A bit chilly this morning at 36.

    I was rather emotional all day with the shooting in Las Vegas. So sad. I feel so bad for everyone. Makes you scared to go anywhere as there will be some copycats for sure. But, I guess you can't live your life in fear.

    Very very sad regarding Las Vegas shooting. So very very sad.

    Wow, you did have it chilly this morning. I bet it warmed up later though. Did you reach 70 degrees later today? We had temperatures in the 70s.

    I cut down my sunflower plants over the weekend. Need to work on my pumpkin vines next. Holding off for one big pumpkin that is half green and orange. I will give it a few more days. Then I will finally be able to mow the patch of grass it was covering.

    Yes, it warmed up nicely. Went out with Steel for a wonderful drive. I'm going to start cleaning up the garden tomorrow. All I have left is a few tomatoes and peppers.

    I had a big lunch today so I don't need supper tonight. Not really hungry either thankfully.
    What a beautiful day too.

    Found a new group of ladies looking for other walkers/jogger/bikers in the area, so will give them a try in their first outing. Also found a local organized walk to do this weekend too. Hope the weather stays this way all week.

    Haven't made that apple pie yet, but perhaps this weekend after I visit the local market.

    I sure wish the weather would stay like this till next April. I took most of the garden down. Put the irrigation hoses away and mowed off the plants. I left the pepper plants and herbs.

    Met ups with a family this evening and went jogging with them. It was fun. We are going to try to start up a group for events to walk/run/bike. I am excited about it. I will have to put up some posters in the local stores this weekend. Very motivated about it.

    Today was a nice day too. I think we will have a good weekend until the rain moves in late Sunday. We could use the rain though. The ground is pretty dry and dusty in some areas.

    Thanks for the compliment. You have been doing really good with your eating and exercise. I suspect you will see some positive results on Saturday.

    You sound excited about your new walk/jog group. It's always better to have someone to exercise with.

    I was going to pick and freeze the rest of my peppers, but it was so nice out I went for a drive with Steel instead. We're supposed to get some rain tonight. I hope so because it's very dry.
