Good morning. We are going to have 80 temps today, which is fine by me. I have to get upstairs this morning and dust. I am like Jean, it doesn't last but about two minutes and needs to be done again.
Jack wanted these Cubs world series cufflinks and studs so I ordered them for him yesterday. This company is online and in IL and just a husband and wife but they are great. I think it took 2 hours and I got an email they had shipped them FEDEX 2 day and will be here tomorrow! They have all different kinds including some cute novelty ones. I bought some from them for Thomas a few years ago and bought Jack some with the Kennedy aircraft carrier on them as it was the last ship Jack served on and his favorite. They are all high quality too not junk.
Hopefully Jack's pants and shorts get here today. I guess FedEx had a big IT problem and it royally messed up everything so everything was a day late. I have a tank top coming that goes with my long shirt and possibly my tumblers that Jack wanted for the cruise. They are pretty cute and everyone says they keep drinks extra cold or hot. Mine is pink and Jack's is blue and they have cutes sayings on them. "I might looking like I'm listening but in my head I am planning my next cruise." That's Jack's and mine says, "I have no cruise control it's like they just book themselves."
Jean: I thought you had said you were selling the cabin and thought it was all done and over with I guess. I don't understand the big deal about the leeway across the lady's property. It isn't like they are driving across her grass or flowers or such. People are funny sometimes. Glad you are able to get it finally all taken care of. What are you doing with your boat? Are you going to try and find another cabin? I am sure the kids are going to miss it. I have never tied a bow tie, but have watched the video over and over. I will just have to practice with him. It isn't as hard as it looks but it will take practice. I am including the chicken recipe.
Ingredients for Fried Chicken
•2T butter (melted in baking dish)
•2/3 cup Original Bisquick
•1 1/2 teaspoons smoked paprika
•1 1/4 teaspoons salt
•1/4 teaspoon pepper
•3 to 3 1/2-LB whole chicken, cut into 8 pieces
1) Heat oven to 425 F. Place 2T butter in a 9 x13 baking dish and heat it in the oven for 10-15 minutes until melted.
2) Whisk together Bisquick, paprika, salt and pepper; coat chicken. Place skin side down in dish. Do not remove baking dish from oven (should be hot and in oven).
3) Bake 35 minutes; turn chicken over. Bake about 15 minutes longer or until instant read thermometer is 155-160 or until juices run clear.
Everyone have a great day today!!
