  • Dana, that's spooky! Did any more happen? Did you call the sheriff to tell them that the guy was over there? Keep us updated!

    Love,
  • Real quick post!

Dana...do you know if they caught the guy...and you said that the truck wasn't your neighbors...do you think it was a relative or friend of his? WAY TO GO ON THE EXERCISE GIRLFRIEND :CP: How was Bretts Dr. Appt.? What is the latest on the blazer? Keep us posted inquiring minds want to know..lol

Gayle...how's the back doing? Have you had a chance to go to the movie? How did the newsletter turn out? I am really proud of you for taking on the job!

Daphne...Thanks for letting us know about the movie...I am really glad that you enjoyed it. I still don't think I will go...I don't want to see it alone and I doubt that BJ wants to go with me or that Lenny would watch the kids. What else have you been doing up in your neck of the woods? How are the kids? Has DH heard from the school?

Well, I can't be on here to much longer, I just wanted to let you all know that Darcie won her Basketball game last night...24 to 11... They have won 2 our of 3 so far and I am really proud of her. Today, was the first time that I have went out and taken a lunch (A whole hour) and I went to payless shoes and got 2 pairs for $20.00 (buy one get one 1/2 off). Well got to go back to the old grind...Oh ya, I haven't been able to get up yet to exercise ...but I did 3 laps on the track today.

  • They were pleased with brett in one sense this morning, he's doing all of his shots and he lost 2 pounds and has gained 2 inches taller since june but his sugars are still over 200 too much. His HBA1C is up to 9.1% and it was 8.9% in december and needs to be in the 5 to 6% range. So they wanted to change him to Lantus insulin. It is injected at night every day and lasts 24 hours. The down side is he will have to take a shot to cover each and every meal and snack. That would mean average of 5 shots a day and would mean shots at school. Right now he only takes 1 in the morning but it's 2 insulins mixed, 1 at supper and 1 at bedtime. If he goes on lantus, it can't be mixed so he would have 2 at breakfast, 1 lunch, 1 supper and 1 bedtime. They gave him a Novopen to play with and he can use it for suppers for now cause we elected to wait until june to go with all of those shots to get used to it over the summer. The novopen is the gadget that looks like a ball point pen and is prefilled with insulin. It's all a step closer to getting on the pump but he doesn't want that so they said some never do it and they won't push unless he wants it. She's willing to bet he will by the time he's a teenager.

I haven't heard anything else about my neighbor but can only tell you he's been in and out all day and his parents vehicles are gone right now so I guess they are at work. Really crazy to me still but I haven't heard about any hit and runs in the news and you would think there would be.

The blazer is running great according to kevin and it was only $330 to pick it up and not the $530 he thought he heard. I think that was the time they closed.

I have to change my signature to reflect my 3 pound loss this week. I definately won't give up pilates. It's ready for me to start it right now. I did start my period this morning too so I am definately shocked about the loss but I weighed 3 separate times before I took it for real.

I found out yesterday that my grandpa has prostate cancer. He says no surgery. He finds out later this month if it's in his lungs, bones or lymph nodes. He's a heart patient, diabetic and has asthma. His heart surgery back in 1996 nearly killed him. He had to stay in ICU 5 days longer than normal and had a breathing tube while he was awake. It totally traumatized him but due to asthma, it was smothering him. He also had a stroke while in there. I know he's scared. He has to be. He has God on his side though cause he is a retired preacher and he's a christian. It just makes me nervous cause I watched my other grandpa die with the same thing back in 1990.

Gayle you keep up that exercise. Let's make everyone accountable in here. I'm going to promise at least 5 days a week of either my 20 minute pilates or at least that much of the hour long dvd. Deb, 3 laps has to be a lot in that track doesn't it?? That is exercise and real good extrasizes too! That's a great deal on shoes and darcie and her b-ball game. What position does she play? Does she get the ball much? She may be your Cheryl Swoops or what ever her name is. She will be your ticket to fame and fortune! Kevin always says that about our boys but when he mentions logan, it's his claim to fortune the illegal way and his ticket to jail.. (of course he doesn't say that around logan) but logan is just a curious child to say the least and he's growing a lot faster for an almost 9 year old than brett did.

Well I need to do that pilates that's on the tv waiting before someone starts calling to bug me. I hope you all have a productive day in something.
  • Deborah I forgot to tell you how upset I was at the way your job is treating you. It does sound like things turned out OK for now. I shudder to think what would have happened if you had not been so good at keeping books. How is the eatting going and the exercising as well? Are the little rug rats helping to keep the place clean?
Gayle woohoo to you on all the extrasizing! How is the food going with you as well? Do you have any more shopping trips planned? What about food excursions with Mama?
Dana I am glad to see that Brett is losing weight and growing in inches! I bet you felt so proud of him yesterday. My BIL has the pump. He likes it but then he is 34 years old. It didn't look comfy to me in theleast bit I have to admit. I also wonder how safe it is with kids and how they are so ruff and tumble.
Ann called me the other day and we had a nice chat. She is just very stressed right now. They didn't get to tear the house down yet to get a Manufactured home on it. They are having issues with zoning and money over it. I told her we all love her and miss her. I hope to call her later today.
Jason had his interview today at the school. He didn't seem to happy over the interview. He said he dioesn't have nearly enough work experience for what they want. He was interviewed by 3 people today. 2 men and one lady. One of the men is our Church Deacon. I am hoping that he will push for Jason to get the job. I guess that this ina way will be a sign from God over what to do. He was offered another job in Bellevue in maintenance.
I am going to start walking tomorrow again. I am getting to big for my fat cloths and I refuse to buy me any fatter clothing. Did that make sense? If Jason goes to Cali. for the 3 weeks i am going to work my *** off to lose as much as I can so he will have a new me back.
    Daphne
  • Daphne I'm so happy to hear from you. I mailed you a catalog/idea book today. I started an order online and then got interrupted or something so I haven't gotten finished with it but I am ordering at least 2 stamp sets I've wanted and some ink pads and powders. Haven't done much with any of that this week but just haven't had time. I hope jason gets the job that pays the most and benefits you guys the best. I miss my daily doses of daphne!

Brett brought home a form I have to take to law enforcement to get a background check. I have to pass that in order to go on the trip the end of the month. Don't know exactly what that consists of. You have a record you don't go? Well I know I do have a record at the court house. I found my court ordered expungement papers today that can erase it all. I have to take a money order to the courthouse to get them certified and then mail them in. I don't know if I have the time to get it cleared or not. Brett really wants to go and unless I can, he can't.

My grandpa had his bone scans today. I think he goes back on tuesday for results.
  • Good Morning ladies...I am on a real time crunch here before work...Got to get there ontime

Dana...Kudos and props to you for the weight loss and the pilates...you are inspiring me! I am sorry to hear that Brett's diabetic is not under control and about your grandfather. What kind of fieldtrip is it that you need a background check? Is it to a jail or penitentary? I hope you are able to get your records taken care of before then. I am so sorry that you have to go through all this. What has Logan been upto that gets him such a bad rap from your DH? I am so really proud of you for working out. Keep up the good work!!

Daphne...I really hope your DH gets the job. I am so happy that you are going to start walking ...Yae! I am so glad that you heard from Ann, thanks for sharing.

Gayle...How is that etrasize coming? How is everything in your area? I was wondering did the vandalizm finally stop in your complex? A co-worker of mine is having problems has his apartments. Have you seen "Fighting Temptations" it is about a Gospel choir. The kids loved it. We just saw it this weekend.

As for me, yesterday was a tear jerker. I recieve a call from the Senior Director that one of our seniors had died last night. Then my supplies arive while I am walking on the track and the supply rep sent me "CASES" of paper instead of reams....I was so upset...my disiplinary action states "I can't buy excessive supplies" !!! and I walk into 10 cases of paper...I was just beside myself. My co-worker had to calm me down and talk me through calling my boss on the mistake...Well after that we went to lunch.. .and I had a huge plate of Nachoes...guacamole, sour cream, beef..the whole nine yards I so anyway, the order is going back, I am just taking out the reams which I wanted from the boxes and taping them up. I have been so stressed at work and home because of everything I have to do that I can't sleep...I keep waking up and thinking about all I have to do, and dwelling on work. Well I had better change the subject now.

Dana...I think awhile back you had asked about Filly's teeth...She still has her two front teeth missing and her side teeth are porcelain. I call her my little vampire. Her smile isn't going to be right, until she is old enough to have her perminate teeth grow in.

Well, I have to get off of here and hit the shower for work...Love to all of you!!!

  • Deborah I am so sorry about all over your stress darling. Take a vacation with the kids and come see me this summer! Heck do it over Spring Break. Now that would be fun I tell ya and we would both relax and have a blast. I really hope that you can find a new job soon. No job is worth what they put your through.
Dana I hope that the record can be taken care of soon enough. Why not call the court house and ask them about it inmore detail? I was telling a friend of mine that had his record expunged too and he asked if it was a felony or a misdemenor. I really don't think that what have on record would show up.
Gayle I would love to see the news letters. Do you have access to them online? Can you send us one via e mail? How did the last one turn out?
    Daphne
  • I came here first today so that I don't have to sign off early. I just got back from exercises. I got two sets of weights ; a 3-pound set and a 5-pound set. I'm using the 3s now, but it doesn't 'burn', so I will soon move up to the 5's. But, I have something wrong in my right shoulder and can't do everything she wants us to do, but it's going to get better.

Daphne, it was so good to hear from you again. Dana's right, we do miss you when you don't check in. I also hope that Jason gets some work closer to home. He needs to be there to see how his kids act toward you. Are you still not doing anything for Robert, and how is that going. I totally support you in that decision. He doesn't deserve your sweat! As for my food...two thumbs down! I'm eating myself into oblivion...what's wrong with me???? And I go out to eat all the time! Just yesterday, one of the ladies here that I do errands for took mom and I to the Italian restaurant that gives portions that would serve a family of 4! I did manage to bring some home, though! And, unfortunately, I totally understand about not wanting to buy any "fatter" clothes! Good luck to you (and me!). I just previewed this post and see that you have posted again since I started this one. Thanks for asking about the newsletter and see below...I'm trying to figure a way to send you one.

Dana, your new stamps and catalogues sound really neat! I'd love to get into stamping and scrapbooking, but I already have my craft closet stuffed to the gills with my other craft supplies that I'm not finding time to use! WOO-HOO FOR DANA...YOU LOST THREE POUNDS!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! Sounds like the pilates is working! I'm glad to hear that Brett is losing and growing. I hope they can find the meds that control his sugar soon! What kind of field trip is it that you have to have a background check? Are you going to a mint or something?? I am praying for you and your grandpa. My dad's cancer moved to his bones and he was in a lot of pain. I pray that doesn't happen to your grandpa. But it sounds like he has a lot of faith, and that will help him through...I know that it did my dad.

Deborah, the back is holding up...that's about all I can say for right now! How nice that Darcie is doing so well in b-ball! That's so good for their self confidence! Good for you! taking your lunch break! Keep it up, girl! I have not seen the movie yet. Mom and I have been busy this week and haven't been able to squeeze it in. The March newsletter went out a couple of days ago and the comments I've heard have been good. Mom said that yesterday, a lady started to say something and stopped herself when she realized that mom was sitting there, so that must not have been good!, but more people like it than don't and it's definitely worth it...talk about a confidence builder! I feel soooo good about this.

I'm so anxious to do the newsletter that I already started April's. Maybe I'll print off a few extra and send one to each of you so you can critique me! I don't even care if no one likes it 'cause it's just plain fun!

The Three Muskateers (Stooges) are getting together again tonight. I'm picking up Kim and we're going over to Debby's for the evening. Deb bought the movie 'School of Rock' and we're going to watch it. She and Tom watched it a couple of weeks ago and . Deb says it'll be so funny to us because it has to do with the rock 'n' roll world and that's where we're from! Kim and I were roadies for Deb's sister's band for several years, in case you don't remember that. I did sound and Kim did lights and Debby danced! (NOT on stage!)

The weather here has been really nice the last week or so. I have the window beside me opened now. It's sooo nice to get some fresh air in here! Tomorrow it may get up to 70*! It's supposed to rain, but who cares...it's 70*!!! I saw some green sprouts coming up in one of the flower beds the other day. The crocus will be blooming soon...woo-hoo!!!

We got some disappointing news the other day! We learned that our favorite outlet stores have closed! This is the place where mom used to find 2-piece suits for $1.95! Bummer

I don't remember if I told you that we have a new baby in our family. My neice had her second baby girl on Feb 12. I'm going to attach a pic of her. Terry (Bro) says they are doing fine. The older girl, Brooklynne, seems to like the new one, Bailee. Mom and I are hoping that we can go down to TX to see them this summer.

My house is still a wreck! I've GOT to start setting my timer and getting things in order. Now that it's warmer, I have to get to the storage to get my Christmas boxes and undecorate...Yes, Dana, I'm still decorated!!! I know it's shameful, but that's just the way it is right now! But it will get done eventually.

I'm going to get off and finish the email, so I'll be back soon!

    Love,

  • Deborah, I missed that you had posted also. I'm so sorry you had to go through that at work yesterday. How did the big boss take it? Take some deep breaths, sister! You're doing a great job and accidents will happen.

    Love,
  • Deb I'm sorry you had that to happen at work as well. Did you have any receipts to prove that you meant to get the reams and not cases? Not saying this ever happened to you but when I was at staples and especially when I was filling in for the girl on maternity leave I always felt like someone was messing up behind me to set me up to get fired. I know one time the operations manager called me into a meeting and said she knew I didn't like her but calling her a bi**h was disrespectful. I never once called anyone there by that name. I liked to think I was the one working that had the most maturity. I seldom saw that woman and had no reason to call her that. She was who hired me. Anyway, I only worked there a year but always felt like the mistakes in the store were to set me up or to look like it was my fault. Maybe that's the reason it ended the way it did.

Gayle that baby is so precious. Everytime I see those kinds of photos makes me reflect and sometime I reflect a bit too much. Like daphne, I would love to see some of your work. Getting into scrapbooking and such doesn't have to take up a lot of space and it's so neat. Especially if you use it to organize. That's what I need to do with a lot of my pictures. I've organized 1 so far but I use the stuff mostly to make cards since I've been so successful at selling them on ebay. Did I mention my digital camera won't work right. It won't save anything to the card. I won an auction last week on a uses Samsung camera that is the same size pixel wise but it looks bigger than my HP camera. I hope it works. Until I get it, I can't put anything more for sell on ebay so that is at a halt.

I went to the courthouse this morning and had my court order expungement papers certified and one copy filed there. Then I went straight to post office and mailed the other copies to solicitors office, a judge, sheriffs dept and the law enforcement division. Is says it takes 14 days to clear it. Daphne it all does show up cause I ran a check on myself online lastnight and it's 3 pages long. I have a fraudulent check (it was a $6) from back in 1994 and it's listed as dismissed. I will have that one forever probably. The only thing this clears is the 17 warrant I had back in 2001. 7 were felonys and the others were misdemeanors. At any rate, the places we are going are to Huntsville alabama to visit the Space & Rocket Center and then to Chattanooga to go to the aquarium, IMAX theater, ride the Southern Belle Riverboat for a dinner cruise and then to Rock City and Ruby Falls. I just wish they would have told us about the criminal check months ago when this was scheduled and it would have been my sign to send those papers in.

Well anyway, I need to run and pick kids up but wanted to update you on that much before I forget to. BTW it's about 75 degrees here now but by monday it's expected to be in high 30's at night and back in 50's during daytime.
  • Hi Ladies

I see I have missed a lot. Deb, I hope things get better for you at work. I loved the pictures you sent. Looks like you had a good time. I to am eating myself int oblivia. I have been so stressed since we have been trying to buy a manufactured home. Our land didn't appraise for what they wanted it to and we didn't have enough to make a down payment, cause the land was suppose to be the down payment, so we will just have to wait and save some more money.

Dana you will enjoy yourtrips to Huntsville and Chattanooga. I am about 1 1/2hrs form Chattanooga. We have went there for the past 2 weekends. My neighbor that lives in my back yard, is 79 and she decided on Feb. 14 she was going to drive herself to the beauty shop to get her hair done and she had a wreck and she is still in the trauma unit. We have been going down there to see her. I am glad someone is losing weight, I just keep packing it on. I know that I weigh around 300lbs now. I have just been under a lot of stress with trying to buy a home and trying to deal with my 16 year old.
I am so glad Brett is doing well. How is Laken and Logan.

Daphne, it was so good to hear from you. I know it would be wonderful if Jason could get a job closer to home so he could be there with you and the kids more. Oh, you would love the weather we are having today. It is almost 70 and the sun is shining and it is so nice out today. I am so ready for Spring.

Gayle, I know you are disappointed the outlet malls closed. I wouild be. The baby is so cute. How is your mother and how are you doing. Have you been to see Passion yet. We are hoping to go this weekend . It has been sold out.

Glad you all are doing well. Chat later.
    Ann
  • Real quick from work!
    Hello everyone!
Ann...I am happy that you were able to post. I am sorry though that you are having such a terrible time with getting your new home and that you will need to wait some more before it happens. As for eating yourself into oblivian, you are not alone ladie...I am right there with you. Are you back at your place for now? Will we be hearing more from you now? How is everything else at home..Girls, DH and his job?
    Keep in touch.

Dana...I am so proud of you for taking care of your court stuff. WAY TO GO ON THE WEIGHT LOSS!!! That field trip sounds like loads of fun...Joseph's big field trip is a Day trip to the state capital (maybe he will see Arnold Baby...lol). But I like what your school is doing better. How is your new camera working out? How about your stamping and ebay doing?

Gayle... What a beautiful little baby. You go Auntie! I am so proud of you for using weights in your work-out!!! I can't believe your house is still decorated...we are truly sisters in grime...lol Speaking of sisters...how was your girls night out with your buds? How was school of rock, was it everything you hoped? It was out when we went to get it at block busters. How is the editing coming along?

Daphne... Thank you for the lovely invitation! I would love to come visit you during spring break, it is just that while the kis are off...I am not...lol I think I might get two days off for passover. I think it was really sweet of you to extend your hospitalitiy to us, but the last thing you need are two more rugrats at your house...lol. Speaking of Rugrats, how is everything going with Robert...is he still doing his own laundry and stuff? What is going on with Jason and the school? I really hope he gets some closer work, so he can take some responsibilty for his kids. If you ever need a break, my door is always open also! Right now the weather is up in the upper 70's lower 80's.

As for me, just going crazy here at work! I can't believe my boss some of the time. I took a lunch today, because I had to get out of here. They keep wanting me to pack up these supplies which we have had over 2 months (the vendor is not going to take them back...so this is just a waste of my time...but I don't call the shots around here). I have to go and get Joseph for his Fencing class. Darcie has another away game today up in Redwood City (have you all heard of the Scott Peterson Case...he killed his pregnant wife?) They are trying to select the jury right now and the trial is up there in Redwood City (some local news for you...lol) Anyway, Darcie has now won 3 of the 4 games they played. I am so pround of her. Well, I really have to go now and pick up my little man Joseph.
I hope you all have a fantastic day !!

  • I am hear broken and in tears now. Jason did not get the job at the school. He just now called me. I have a seething pain going up my spine into my shoulder blades and into my head. I am so sad and hurt over this. Jason is taking it better then I am. I think he was going to maybe turn it down when it came to it. He said he wasn't looking forward to having his salary cut in half. I understand that and I didn't know how we would make it either. I guess I am feeling the most pain for him. How hard that call was to receive and to make to me. I started to cry on the phone when he told me. How dare that damn school not feel that Jason was the best for that job! I know I sound childish but he is the hardest worker that they will have ever had. Maybe I should say will never have. There is just one more reason to hate that freaking schools out here. I am going online today to look at houses up North. I need to talk to someone and I have no friends here in person.
There is also a lot of stuff with the Church going on right now. Miss Bonnie told the kids that Sunday is a day of rest. That no work is to be done on that day, nothing at all even homework. Robert tried to use that on me and I said NO. That if he wanted to follow the Bible to the t in that way he was not to disobey us, he was not to cuss, etc.... I said I was pissed at Bonnies big mouth as well. He will no longer be going to her class for now. He was also talking makingthe noises that I hate and Miss Bonnie said to the class* should I send Robert out or not?* Well the kids all said yes.....WTF?? She is the teacher not the kids. I am ranting and not making since I know I am so sorry to you all.
    Daphne
  • (((((Daphne))))) I am SO sorry for what you're feeling right now. You're right to vent on here and I wish I could give you a hug. I wish I could give you a money tree so you could move over here. I'm not joking either. I listen to some of the prices of things that you people on the west coast pay for things and I thought we had it bad. Rent and school tuition and such isn't nearly what you guys pay. Of course, I don't know about salaries over here since I don't work. Jason always has to go out of state to paint? Does he never get any jobs offered to him near by?

Let me post this and come right back. My grandpa went to the dr. today to see if his cancer was just in his prostate or if it had spread and they are calling right now.
  • OK I'm back. Daphne have you spoken with Ms. Bonnie? She shouldn't come between families in the way that it seems that she does. The bible does say the seventh day is the day of rest but who can go a sunday without doing something? Going to church is work at times and for teachers and preachers it's their work. Maybe you should explain to robert that preachers preach for a living and they aren't resting. Then again, you can't make conflicts between your child and church. I don't know why your church keeps stirring things up and maybe they don't even realize it.

My grandfather got great news. His cancer is only in his prostate and they are going to give him 2 shots to shrink it some and then 42 radiation treatments to being in early june. He has to have them 5 days a week for 8 weeks. I know that's a lot for them to do considering the place he has to go to is 40 minutes from here but it's worth saving his life. I'm thankful for that.

How did darcie do in her game deb? As for my camera, I just got it yesterday and it works great. It has some internal memory and a compact flash card slot. I tried to use 2 cards I have and it says they are bad so it wasn't my old camera afterall but seems to have been the cards. I won a card on ebay but was having some difficulty paying the guy so who knows. Hopefully he got the payment and I can have my card before our trip end of the month.

Ann I hate it that you're going to have to wait on your new home. We had some plans to do different things with our income tax money this year and then ended up having to put both vehicles in the shop so that ate a hole in that money. I hope that you can post more often on here though. Maybe we can help each other with the weight stuff. I have to weigh tomorrow and if I've gained my 3 pounds back, I will be so upset. I hate having to start over all the time and I have been trying to keep up by doing my pilates.

Gayle please tell me you've undecorated now! Are you getting any of the snow brewing up around us? We have a chance of it late this evening but it's so kinda warm here so even if it does snow, it won't stick.

Well I need to get off of here. I have to take my grandma to the dr. in the morning for her 6 month checkup. Brett is going on his first field trip tomorrow since he was diagnosed and I'm not going with him on this one so I hope he does fine. I've told the school he can't wait until 1 to eat lunch. That's too late for him and he will have a blood sugar drop if he does. Yesterday while I was at school, the other diabetic child at school was put on home school so now brett is the only one there.
