  • Good for you Meg! I haven't done my video again, but have been heavy duty cleaning- that has to count!!

Hope everyone is doing great- sure has been quiet around here. Maybe next week now that "Fall" is here we'll all be back in the swing of things.

  • It's Saturday, and today I meet with my new boss. I can't wait to find out the details of my new job.

I have been religiously doing WATP. Tomorrow and Monday will be ballet.

I made a skirt from a Simplicity pattern last night. It required very little sewing. I put it on and it didn't hang right. I then put it on my stick figure of a husband, and it hung exactly like it should according to the photo. I am so upset. Just another reminder of how heavy I am.

Well, I am not going to let that get me down. Going to Indiana, and we should have a nice time.

    Have a great weekend!

    Meg
  • Hope the meeting went well with your boss Meigg. I need to get myself sorted out with a new job, am stuck in a rut with my current one It is the only the fact that I work only 20 minutes from home instead fo traisping away into the cities every day that keeps me there, not perfect motivation.

Have been an angel with the exercise, took the boys swimming today and I did 20 lengths while they played on the flumes. Am very hungry though all that running about has given me an appetite.
  • My new boss is great. I went thinking it was an interview, and apparently I have the job. It was just to meet her, and her to give me a feel of what real estate is like. She is SOOO nice. I am excited.

We came back from Indiana today, as Dan found out we couldn't lay out at the pool - it is closed for the season. Tomorrow we are clearing out the storage locker we have and putting about 15 items on Ebay. Should be fun.

Hope you have a great weekend!

    Meg
  • Hi everyone,
Haven't posted in a while, just been hanging in there.. getting little things done, watching summer go by.. been enjoying the month so far.. been feeling better, go in tomorrow for my injection so should get real good soon now.

Megg congrats on the new job. Are you a licensed realtor or will you be working in the office? Glad you found something so quickly and one that you'll enjoy.

I've been holding pretty steady give or take a couple pounds. I am finding it just so hard to stick to anything right now..I need to get busy though and crack down on myself. I know I can do this I just need to get my old resolve back..I used to have such a good will power for sticking to things.. now it's gone out the window... But I must get it back...

Hubby is stripping old siding off the house, going to be putting on some new ones..finally after living here 29 yrs, the outside is getting some work done on it.. it will look so much nicer when it is done. We are taking off for California in another 3 weeks, driving out to visit son and his family. I can't wait, I love road trips.

Our town is so depressing right now.. we have already lost 3 factories, numerous businesses and there are many homes for sale. But they are adding a large addition to our hospital, for doctors offices and treatment facilities, and our local crematorium is building a large building to facilitate its operation locally. We can get sick and die around here, but we can't work. We just got a large chemo facility too.. there seems to be a lot of cancer in the area. Maybe with the chemical factories closing that will get better. Good thing we are self-employed. Sure hope the economy picks up soon. How is it in all of your states?

Hope everyone is doing well. Not many have been posting on here, but good ole Megg keeps us going. thanks Meg

    Dahlia
PS Meg, what kind of stuff are you putting on ebay? I'd like to check it out.. I love looking shopping on there.
  • Hope everyone is doing well. Dahlia, I will be a licensed sales associate for a 7 year, multi-phase development. Dan and I may even buy there as we get a 5% discount.

Yesterday we cleaned out our storage locker and put 38 items on ebay. If they all are sold we stand to make just shy of $1500. It will totally pay off one of our two credit cards. Then, when we fix and sell our 2nd car, which we no longer need now that I am not commuting to Indiana, we can almost pay off our 2nd credit card. We whould be totally debt free by xmas. This has been a 3 year process, and I am so excited for everything to finally paid off.

I finally found the legs to my mini trampoline, so I am going to start integrating that into my workout. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get under 180.5 pounds. Quite frustrating. Yesterday I had a hot dog (with the bun) and some fries just to break up the monontony. I know if I am patient it will come...

Hope everyone is doing well. Talk to you soon.

    Meg
  • Hi Ladies

Just got home this afternoon..the cases are still packed but i had to get my priorities right i have to go grocery shopping so i'll keep this short..the weather is still beautiful and Meg when i read your thread heading "fall is coming" i thought "eeewww"
    i don't like that

Got to head to the stores..cya tomorrow
  • Welcome back Cat Can't wait to hear about all your travels!

I'm just hanging by a thread. I did my WAAP 1 mile yesterday, but have been eating crap every since. Still trying to get my act together.

This board has been so slow! Where is everyone?! (thanks Meg for keeping us going!)

    Emily
  • Good Morning!

Sorry I have not been around for awhile, but it sure does feel good to be back . I don't have much time this morning so this will be brief. Hopefully I will be back later with more time to catch up on all the posts.

Welcome back Cathy, and thank you for the postcards -- I have them taped to my computer desk so I get to enjoy them everyday! I can't wait to hear all about your trip and Olivia. I bet John's mom was surprised to see you two.

Meg, I skimmed page 2 briefly here and your new job sounds so exciting and I wish you all the best. Will you be closer to your folks?

Morning Carol, Emily, Dahlia, Pam, Grandma and all the rest of the TPATers.

All is well. Chris is at school and a college boy now -- it's so quiet around here and I am enjoying it all so very much because I will be back at work soon. Still plugging along with the weight -- seems like I am losing ounces now instead of pounds but at least it's in the right direction.

Need to get a move on -- have a wonderful day everyone!

    Always, Terry
  • Good morning, Terry. good to hear your weight loss is still plugging along. my job is back in chicago so i am close to my parents.

I found the legs to my mini trampoline, so I am adding running on that back into my workout. I keep fluctuating between the same few pounds. i hate that!

got to get ready for work...

    Meg
  • Meg, I bet your parents are glad to have you closer, and I hope you have time for the theatre group again as that sounded so interesting. I started doing WATP again but I cannot stand listening to her so I have been alternating between a Brian Setzer CD and the Chicago soundtrack. I used to have a mini trampolene but it's a good thing I don't anymore because I have grown way too klutzy at age 51 .

The cats had a party last night as there is such a mess around here -- towels from the bathroom are in the living room; arm chair covers are in the hallway; decoys are knocked over on the fireplace hearth; couch pillows are all askew; Katie's bed looks like a wrestling match took place; throws are on the floor in the family room. Worse than kids!

Em, I'll trade you three cats for three kids???

    Later gators!!
  • Nothing changes in the Johnson household i see have fun chasing those cats T Sorry i did'nt get around to sending more postcards but we did'nt travel half as much as i planned to do its funny how visiting family and friends takes over your life and you don't get to do the things that you wanted to, but never mind we enjoyed it and the weather co-operated too it only changed on the Sunday to showers..it was the same on Monday when we left..don't know what its like now. ( and i don't care either )

I spent the last Sunday with Jacqui, Andy and Olivia and we had a great day out at the Trafford Centre in Manchester it was the centre's 5th Birthday so they were celebrating and there was lots of artists on...the last one put Pavorotti to shame he was excellent. While we were there we went to the Bear factory and got Olivia a teddy..we picked out a teddy..well..Olivia did really.. the one that got the biggest grin was picked then we had it stuffed, then her Dad got to pick a heart out of a jar kiss it and make a wish before it was put inside the bear then he taped a message and that was put inside the bear too and then it was sewn up..before you pay for it you choose a name for the bear and it is issued with a "birth certificate". It was adorable!

It looks like the majority of today will be spent unloading photo's off of my camcorder and recording my tape onto video (the unpacking can wait) as soon as i get the chance i'll put some pic's on my yahoo site..i'll let you know when.
  • Cathy -- first things first -- pics!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to see that little one . No place like home though -- welcome back again! Hey, I count myself fortunate to get two postcards, as I never seem to get around to sending them when we go anywhere.

This is just a quickie as I am in the process of cleaning the garage -- which is not my job let me tell you! I've decided I need more husbands -- one to do jobs like this, one for , and one to fix and clean. I tell ya, you never get the whole package with men now a days!

Time to find some lunch and then get back to the cob webs and crud. I don't really mind that so much, it's just the yucky spiders and bugs that give me the shivers.

  • Hope you are armed with a broom Terry to sweep any offending critters away i hate going in the crawlspace for the same reason in case i see anything crawling around down there.

I've put some pic's on my website go to:
    http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/cathy_cat15
if you are interested in seeing them
  • I want to go to England! Now that is history.... I loved the churches and John's school. Is the school still used as such?

Your pictures are absolutely great, Cathy and that Olivia is adorable -- 2 teeth and she's walking!! She looks tall for her age too. Jacqui did a great job with the nursery -- so colorful and fun.

Thanks for posting them so quick -- that was worth taking a break for . Now back to my almost clean garage. Told Russ not to expect Cindy Crawford tonight .
