Dh just left for work & I can't fall back asleep yet. I drove a hour last night & picked up my 4 g-babes for the weekend, the Minonins/sp? open @ the movies today & me & their grandpa always take them to see the movies up here. Our nearby small theater w 100 seats is about 65 years old w the original interior w beautiful architecture, a few gas neon lights glowing inside from the original sponsors & seating (I wish the small flip-up seats were upgraded, it shows how much smaller ppl were back then, it's like ppl today r super-sized now ). Anyway the owner takes ticket $ @ the booth & he originally worked @ the snack counter as a teenager & told me he had his first kiss & date in the balcony there
Kids pay $3 & adults $4 each, & his movies r always current released flicks. Our son or us can't afford to pay big city $ to take the 4 kiddos plus 2 adults to see a movie, so here they r w us as normal to see their awesome cartoons on a Huge screen w us feeling special this weekend. Otherwise our son has a big 52" Sony LED tv & our kiddos would wait to see it released on Netflix or Amazon @ home.
On our camping vacation we went into town on a 88* afternoon to cool off for a movie matinee $ & saw the cartoon Inside Out, it was veryyy boring we each agreed.

The last time Dh & I went to the city to see a movie, we both came home feeling guilty about going, the theater seats were huge & reclined w surround sound, we both started to dose off during the Fast & Furious paying $12 each for movie tickets.

Girls Thank You for your healthy wishes & hugs & prayers for me, my last name is Foster. My youngest son knows something is wrong w me because every time he has seen me this summer picking our g-babes up, he mentions my pale skin color, lack of energy & he says I seem sad instead of my silly self...
Our older Ds phoned last week to ask me & Dh to go back to his home in Hubertus,WI. last Friday. It sold the first week & he needed to get his $1,000 dehumidifier out of the basement because the ppl are taking possession today. Ds got us a wonderful hotel room to share overnight & drive back home to Michigan the next day. That was the first time I had rode in the back seat of his 2012 GMC pick-up truck & I was dum to not go w him a few months ago getting his home to sell, his back seat is just as comfortable as the front seat.
Honestly after seeing how absolutely gorgeous Wisconsin is again, I wish I had asked my Dh to find a new job living near our oldest Ds there. Possibly our younger Ds would've relocated also w my g-babes... Our older Ds relocated back to Michigan to b near our family... However our landscapes r not as beautiful as Wisconsin.

I'm getting sleepy & my 3 1/2 year old woke up & climbed on my bed to sleep & snuggle so I'm going now.
When our g-babes leave on Monday, I'll b back to post personals.

Wishing you'all a beautiful weekend pLease send me some of your rain because my veggies & lawn need it. My cukes, peppers & grape tomatoes r yummy, but not my berries or lettuce because of the bunnies & birds snacking. Tomorrow we're @ the lake & hopefully Dh & my kids catch us some panfish, walleye or bass for supper they fish awesome w their grandpa

Dee

TGIF, can't shout that loud enough, amen sisters.

Let me see, did a bunch of nothing last night. Had fresh fish for dinner again last night. Yummy. Dishes, bed. Wow I lead such an exciting life.

Tonight I am meeting a friend I used to work with at American Funds. We are meeting at a pub called Mucky Ducks. Should be fun, have not seen her in about a year.

Tomorrow I am taking my car in for its 25K check up. Then I am meeting up with another friend from Humana for brunch.

Sam and I are going to pick up her wedding dress tonight. The alterations are supposed to be done. Hope they got it right.

DEE...have fun with the g babes. G-babes make my heart happy. Prayers.

HAPPY...you win the most busiest woman of the month award. Holy Smokes woman, take a breather.

CEEG...enjoy your days off.

LAURA...did you get your punch card? Kudos to you sister.

CHELLE...work smoothing out any?

Hello to all. Make it a great weekend.

Hugs

Hi ladies,

Work is going well, but still crazy busy. More last minute changes and design and functionality requests that we simply can't accomplish for phase 1 of the new website launch. Basically, if it's more of a change than a color or font or minor placement change, it's not getting done. That being said, the system is kind of complex and convoluted...we have to change fonts and colors in roughly 4 or 5 different places. And after we get it all working on the "desktop monitor size", we have to make sure it works on tablets and phones. The site has to be 99% complete by August 1 even though it won't launch until November 1.

Tonight, I've got bariatric surgery support group. I haven't been to a group in months and I really need to get back to them. And this weekend, I'm going to OA (overeaters anonymous) meetings and meeting with my sponsor. I told y'all I've started going to OA right? OA is like AA except for people who eat (rather than drink) compulsively and self-destructively. I figure I need something to help me with emotional and stress and depression eating, so I'm trying this. So far so good. I've done lots of self-reflection as to how I learned to turn to food for comfort and why I continue to do that even though it doesn't work and is very bad for my health.

I'm also, of course, getting Santa to the dog park and doing some house cleaning and getting ready for my house/dog sitting at Bob's sister's (which starts a week from today) and also getting ready for my trip to Southern CA. I'm really looking forward to seeing my family again. It's not realistic to think I'll be at 100 lbs lost...but if I can be at 90-95 lbs lost, I'll be happy. I haven't weighed myself in days...and after the day I had yesterday I'm not eager to weigh myself...but last time I weighed myself my total weight loss was 85 lbs...and I just need to keep moving (a lot) and start and keep eating clean.

I hope you all are doing well. I'll be back over the weekend.

Much love to all,

Morning all. TGIF. Into day #2 on a tedious task and I’m just about done, but had to take a break from it for my sanity’s sake.

Annie – Sounds like a nice weekend coming up for you. Mucky Duck, haha, funny name - have fun. Good luck with S’s dress alterations.

Dee – Enjoy your time with the grandkids this weekend. Good you have a less expensive movie alternative in your town. Seeing movies at the theater is so darn expensive now. I don’t even know how they stay in business competing with Netflix and Red Box and the like. I guess people still want to see movies on the big screen, even though a lot of people have their own “big screen” at home, lol. I used to go to the movies almost every week with some friends, but have cut back to maybe once a month. It wasn’t due to the cost – we go to a chain that has discounted tickets (now $6.50) or to a theater that’s $5. I just got out of the habit, and I guess I got more picky about which movies were worth the effort of seeing at the theater, especially since they’ve started opting for the $5 theater which is a bit of a drive from my house. I’m sorry you didn’t like “Inside Out”, I thought it would be really good. I definitely want to see “Minions”. Let me know how you like it!

Happy – Have you canned anything before? One item I had in with the cookbooks was a booklet I picked up at the thrift shop about canning and freezing. I thought it might be interesting for bf, since he makes his own pickles and giardinara. But he just makes small quantities and stores them in the fridge, so that’s that. You’ve been busy in the kitchen! Everything sounds great. Re the rye bread - reminds me I need to pick up a loaf at the bakery next to the thrift shop this weekend. Yup, it has to have caraway seeds to be any good in my book, lol. Gosh, you’re cutting it close on the rx cat food! Hope you made it back home in time to pick up the bag (by the time you read this you’ll be gone & back from your outing). Re the farmers markets downtown – not in the routine of going to them – they are Tues (Federal Plaza) and Thursday (Daley Plaza & Willis Tower Plaza) and I always seem to miss them, or am focused on getting lunch. “Catio” – love it! And I’m sure the cats do too!! Hope the flower photo session went well!

Ceejay – I’m on Sparkpeople and My Fitness Pal. I’m not tracking my eating on either lately. The ab and squat challenge is one challenge. Link: http://30dayfitnesschallenges.com/30...uat-challenge/ and it includes situps, crunches and squats in varying numbers of reps each day. This one’s odd because the number of reps doesn’t just increase each day – it goes up and down quite a bit. Should be interesting and not completely exhausting, which makes up for only having a rest day every 9 days. I hope you’re enjoying your 4-day weekend. And I also hope you don’t have any 60-hour workweeks coming up again anytime soon!

Michelle – That sounds like quite a project. (Convoluted=PITA) But I do know how frustrating it is to try to navigate a desktop site on a cell phone, so that’s important to get right!! Sounds like you’ve got a busy weekend coming up. You’re doing the right things to address your WL issues – good for you!!!

Hellos to the rest of you! Have a great weekend.
--
I didn’t buy my punchcard yesterday because the rec plex computers were down. But they did give me a freebie pass so I could go to a class as I’d planned last night. I did the circuit class. The usual instructor (timekeeper, really) wasn’t there and we had another woman. She’s sort of spazzy, but very nice. Odd, but she didn’t do a warmup before getting into the circuit stuff. I’m glad I got there early and did several laps walking on the (indoor) track and them some light stretching right before class started.

I want to say I’d get back there for my punchcard and another class tomorrow, but I probably won’t. I will get the punchcard soon though. I’m thinking of getting the sampler card that has 5 punches for spin classes and 5 punches for the other group fitness classes. The rec plex is still trying to get the spin studio going even though it’s been several years now and there apparently hasn't been enough interest. Now they’ve offered combo spin classes – spin & strength and Spin Triple Play - both of which combine some spin with other exercise, and that interests me. So I might give that a go.

Anyway, no formal exercise tomorrow. I host book club next Friday and I have to get stuff done around the house to get ready for that. I'll probably wear myself out doing whatever it is I end up doing, so that'll give me exercise credit, right? I might do another sewer line dirt hump digging session even though I’m thoroughly tired of dealing with that mess.

I might get together for dinner with a friend of mine on Saturday.

No other plans for the weekend.

I’m taking a vacation day on Monday because I have the gastro doc consultation appointment in the morning. Have to figure out when to schedule the colonoscopy. Do you girls think Friday is the best day, and then I’ll have the weekend to feel better afterwards, or is it not such a big deal and I can take a different day off during the week? If I have to fast the day before the procedure, I prefer to be at work (vs. at home on Sunday for a Monday appointment) so I have something to do to distract me, LOL.

That’s it for me, so I’ll get this posted.

LAURA...I took the late afternoon off the day I started the pre-liquid drink stuff. Then I took the day of and went back to work the day after. I didn't have a choice as the doc only did colonoscopies on t, w, th. Cause once you start "going" you go and go and go!

Good morning all,

I did not take the road trip yesterday. I have been feeling very gassy and bloated for 3 days now. It's really uncomfortable and nothing I am trying seems to alleviate it. DH went north by himself yesterday. There is a berry farm we frequent and last year they had the most beautiful flower gardens - to attract bees for pollination I'm sure - and he took some great pictures while I was picking berries. They didn't put as much effort into the garden this year so it wasn't a total bust but a long trip for just a few pictures.

I pretty much took it easy yesterday - just watering outside - which is an ordeal to get everything in the yard tugging on a garden hose that feels 8 miles long - was exhausting. We had the chicken soup I made the other day, it was good and I'm glad I had something I didn't have to fuss with.

Today DH went to Menards to pick up the siding we ordered - we both think it won't match the house - storm damage - and we are kind of hoping it won't so we can change out the cheap siding they have on this place. When he gets back we are going into town to visit a friend, check out siding colors at the lumberyard and they we are going to a pig roast in the next town to benefit the local senior center. Then it's home to chores and some phone calls. I have to get my act together on this fundraiser thing, especially if I want to hand off part of it to someone else for help. Gotta have something to hand off, eh?

Yes, I am busy. Yes I am overly busy. Much more than I care to be if I am honest about it. So easy to get sucked into things... and it's my fault for not setting and sticking to priorities.

Laura - I have put out hints to some of the garden club ladies that it sure would be nice if someone would put together some canning classes. We have a local community college or even the Indian reservation. We'll see. Wow - I am in awe of anyone who can get through a spin class! Sounds like some interesting choices for you. As to your question about the colonoscopy - I too was probably tied to the doctor's schedule - it was several years back. I obviously took the day before and day of off. I think you can go to work the next day - you are pretty "empty" so no worries about accidents or cramping or even feeling tired the day after. The one thing I remember is that there are advocates - especially in California - of colon cleanses. They claim you get rid of toxins and feel "so amazing afterwards". Colonics is a big business in CA from what I hear. Anyway, I can't say that I felt "so amazing" after the prep myself. Anyone goofy California trend I'd say. Oh and eat lightly the day or two prior to your prep - it will be easier on your system - ie. limit fatty or spicy foods.

Michelle - good luck with the work project. Web is very involved now that you have to support many devices. I'm glad you are seeking additional help with OA support. And keep up your bariatric groups too - I'm sure they can be helpful with others who struggle too.

Annie - I hope Sissy's dress turned out lovely. How was Mucky Duck's? Sounds like you have quite the busy schedule yourself lady

Dee - yes Wisconsin is pretty but Michigan is also. They are similar in forest and lake landscapes but also different. Not sure if it's because of the trees or what. I prefer being away from the cities for residential but we can do a drive if we absolutely need something. Of course that lends itself to the retired lifestyle, not so sure it's a good idea if you are still trying to make a living. I hope you feel better.

Ceejay- I hope you are putting your feet up and getting some rest after a long work week.

Shad - did you get the craziness of work organized?

Hi Susie, Terra I will comment when you check in.

Now I should hurry and hop in the shower. DH will be back soon and I'm sure he will want to leave within minutes of dropping the trailer so I'd better get ready. Have a good weekend everyone.

Annie,Happy & Laura ~ Yeah getting my glasses adjusted definitely helped

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm 6 pounds away from where I started!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so mad at myself for getting back here. I thought after a year I would be half way to my goal not back at the beginning but I'm not gonna give up. I'm gonna cut back on my eating again and I'm gonna step up my exercising and then the scale should start going down again.
Hi Everyone. We have sun today in Ohio with a predicted high of 80 and only 9% of precipitation. EVERYONE is out mowing their yards, including my DH.
Me, I have been up since 8 a.m. I worked on a PowerPoint draft that is due on Monday, and of course everyone sent me their content at 4 p.m. on Friday. I also finalized the Org Chart for this month (it will have a lot of changes as of 8-1; it is beginning of a new FY for us and people move around a lot. ) Company standards are that the Org charts be updated and posted by the 15th of each month.
I am doing some cleaning and then since DH is doing the yard work, I'm going to got to Walmart (after I get a shower) and get the household goods and a bit of groceries. DH will finish that tomorrow as he is the cook so it's up to him to get the ingredients for what he plans to cook.
I also have a load of laundry going.
Last night we went to a little pub like place about 45 min away. John has been there before but I haven't. It was very good and fun to people watch. We then drove up to Yellow Springs (about a 15 min drive from the pub place) and went to Young's Dairy.
Yellow Springs is always fun to drive through and spend a bit of time. It's an "old hippie" town. Always has been and they have interesting shops and restaurants and it is so fun to people watch there. You can google it and find out more.
Young's Dairy is a working dairy farm with the best ice cream! It's all handmade. Over the years they have added things, like a put-put golf course, they have batting cages, in the fall a corn maize. The also have a couple of gigantic slides to slide down.
The barns are open so you can see the dairy cows , and they have a petting zoo of goats, and sheep and such. It's very quaint and remind me of a time wen families went to these sort of things instead of huge theme parks and hotels with indoor water parks
Don't get me wrong, those places are fun, but it's at places like Young's Dairy and Yellow Springs that a person can slow down and enjoy simpler things.
I have read through the posts and will have to come back tomorrow and catch up with personals.
I do want to give a shout out to Dee and a hug
I am so sorry that you are facing a health issue. I am praying for you and I will put you on our prayer list at church.
Like the other gals said, we are here for you! and I feel that here we can be real and get support and not judgment.
Also I wanted to give a hug to Terra . I know how it feels to let weight creep. back on and then wake up and realize that it is time to get our focus back and get to doing it instead of thinking about it.
I am right there with you! Let's get focused and moving...and let's remember to love ourselves, too. We do have a weight issue but we are still lovely people and we just need to love ourselves and put ourselves first with us. I'm working really hard at this.
Ok..got to get the mopping done and then hit the shower.
We have a gift card to the movies and a gift card to Olive Garden so we are going out later.
I'll be back tomorrow.
Hi all,
Quick check in - went to a breakfast out at the airport - pancake breakfast fund raiser put on by the civil air patrol. We walked the length of the runway and saw a bunch of small planes. It was nice BUT it is a warm day and for some weird reason they did not have cold beverages like water. After 2 hours I was practically panting like a dog so we went back with our friends who gave us each glasses of ice water (thank you!) and we admired her flower gardens and watched the blue birds consider her nesting boxes. Rain will be moving in this afternoon so we had to leave - DH has some yard work to finish up before the rain hits. I have rhubarb to process and I need to can those peaches as they are starting to look wilty and sad. I know they are still good even if the outside peel is a bit wrinkled but they won't last much more than a day or two. So a quick check on the canning video and off I go.
The washer repair guy actually fixed my washer. It's much quieter. I am afraid to wash a load of sheets so as to not knock it out of whack again!
That's it for now - let me go get busy before the day totally gets away from me. Hope you are all having fun or getting some rest.
Hi Everyone,
It's going to be a busy week for at least until Thursday. My Director is back from vacation and is in the office this week and then leaves for China for 2 weeks for a work trip. He doesn't leave until Tuesday morning next week but I am out next Monday and Tuesday so we have a lot to button up and down this week!
My Associate Director leaves for personal trip on Thursday afternoon for 2 week (going to Ireland) and it will be busy with her too.
If I am not here much during the week, that will be the reason why. I want to be sure that when I come home, I am doing some sort of workout for 30 min and getting into bed each night by 10:30 so I am not totally exhausted all weekend and the two days we are off. I have fun things planned for Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday and I don't want to be exhausted.
DH and I went to see the new Terminator movie yesterday evening and out to eat at Olive Garden. Both were very good and we had gift cards so that made it nice.
Happy: Did you get your yard work done before the rain stated in? We have had so much rain and did again early evening today.
Anne: It sounds like the wedding plans are in full swing. It can feel crazy I'm sure..but also so much fun to have this special time with your daughter.
I'll say a prayer for that crazy report you are doing where everyone keeps changing what they want to see. You might have to speak up and say that there needs to be a standard in place so that going forward the information is comparing apples against apples.
Laura: Good luck with our doctor apt on Monday and figuring out the colonoscopy appt. DH did his prep on Sunday, then procedure on Monday and back to work on Tuesday. That seemed to work pretty well.
Michelle: Keep working the processes you are working to get this emotional eating figured out. It is my issue as well. I try to use my TOPS group for help and support for it and working with the counselor I'm seeing through work for "stress" but we are looking at the emotional eating and things to help with that.
I have thought about OA as I can truly say, I feel like a drug addict when I am eating to numb my feelings or avoid them.
I'll pop in as much as I can...I miss you all when I don't!
Monday Morning, let's get this party started! Had me two hard boiled eggs and now have a glass of iced green tea. Love the Kurig maker in the office kitchen. I am determined this morning, well yesterday that I am going to kick this weight to the curb. I have gained 2 lbs of my 25 lb loss. Not going there again. Nipping it is its big ole heiney, literally. I am going back to the bariatric way of eating....protein, veggies, minimal fruit, even less bread/starch and no sugar. I have the no sugar thing down, just need to stay away from carbs. Goodbye taco Tuesdays. Hello a healthier Annie. Moving a little more also.
Leanne and I had to reschedule Mucky Ducks for tomorrow night as her sister came into town unexpectedly and drew priority. I understand. No biggie, wasn't really in the mood anyway. Tonight, sissy is coloring my hair. Start of a busy week. Today is the dreaded report day. bleh.
Yesterday at church, I just put all of the worldly girls on the prayer list. They pray as a group, all the pastors, (6) at around 10 am EST on Monday mornings, so feel the boost at that time. Surely the blessings will happen. I also put my brother and my friend Nell, both fighting cancer, back on the list. Brother's PSA came back a little higher, still in the good zone but going up means the cancer is starting to fight this treatment. Prayers here!!
Sis and I went shopping<---yuk, don't like to do that, to try and find dress slacks in gray for the boys, as Jacob calls them "wedding clothes". It was a total bust. Tried 3 places, bleh. Men's warehouse, Burlington Coat Factory, and Sears. All had black and a FEW gray, none in the sizes we needed. Back to the drawing board.
HAPPY....repeat after me...thank you for considering me for this project, however I must decline. At least with the cateract surgery coming up, YOU WILL HAVE TO NOT HELP OUT AS MUCH!!! You certainly need time for yourself. Hugs sweet sister and may the force be with you. Thank you, Sissy's dress looks perfect and she is so beautiful in it. I have it at my house so BF cannot see it.
CHELLE...glad you are taking steps with OA and support group to get this under control, cause I can say, it does not ever get easy or any easier. It is a constant battle. Stay focused WE can do this.
SUSIE....you always have such a busy schedule. Work seems to take up a LOT of your time. Have fun on your days off. Olive Garden is a red flag restaurant for me. Love the salad, can always resist the bread sticks, but the portabello ravioli is to die for in my books. I actually crave that all the time. The thing with the report, when they introduced it, THAT was the standard across the board in all locations. Now everyone seems to be tweaking it the way they want it, then peeps in my region say, oh that is a better way of doing it. I finally said nope, not going to do it.
TERRA...come on, jump on the wagon and get you heiny in gear and get that weight off. WE are all in this together. Come here and post to avoid eating.
Hello to all you fine ladies. HUGS.
I've been mia this week end but to much to do. Ate lunch with the uncles on Saturday and a shopping trip to Belk afterward. I bought a couple pair of pants in a size xl but have not tried them on. I may have to take them back. It was hot. Later that afternoon I helped my uncle in the flower bed which wasn't very big at all and mainly dead heading the petunia's but I got to hot. I was literally drenched in sweat. Also talked to my sister who lives in Dallas. She was more understanding this time and the subject of retirement didn't come up. I did bring up the fact that I had to climb the pipes this week. I posted that for her to see on FB.
After I got home I went to Walmart for a few groceries for this work week.
and made my lunch for this week. I'm having chicken alfredo and chicken parmesian. (sp) never could spell that.
I'll be back later for personals.
Wow we are getting slammed with the storm that LAURA just went through. I say the windows are rattling too! Yikes. Dark as night out there.
Dang, more than halfway through a long post and the page froze and I lost my post. Could not even grab it to copy and paste.
Anyway, good morning Worldies. I have a pretty open schedule this week which is nice because I have lots of cleaning and housework to fill it up. Yesterday's trip to the airport and pancake breakfast was nice but it was a bit too hot for my tastes. When I got home I knew I had only a day or two more to deal with a half box of peaches sitting on my table. I didn't like how they came out when frozen so I knew I had to figure out how to can them. The problem is that there is about 12 steps to this - not really hard but no video gives you the basics of everything you need - as in what exactly is the right mix for they syrup you use to fill the jars? You can use white grape juice, honey or simple syrup. Took 4 videos to figure that out. It seems that while you can use straight up water, sugar - even if a light syrup - keeps the fruit from turning brown once it sits in the jars over time. And that's even if you also use the "fruit fresh" non browning powdered stuff. I also wanted to make sure I cleaned the jars correctly. I did have to run out and buy a canner pot with a rack. I was going to improvise but you don't want the bottles touching or they can break. In the end I did need the deeper pot but didn't need the rack after all. It was a bit of a squeeze because you have to have all 4 stove burners going - one for the syrup, one for simmering the lids you put on the jar, another pot of extra boiling water if you need to add something quickly and the humongous canning pot full of a half bathtub of boiling water! I have a stove with a microwave directly above it and I discovered when you have a huge canning pot that doesn't leave much room between the top of the pot and the microwave. So I was not really able to lift the canning rack in and out of the pot. DH was a real trouper. He made the mistake of asking if he could help and it was getting late in the evening and I was really tired so I did ask for help. I blanched and peeled the peaches - I was faster than he was so I peeled and he cut them into slices and removed the pits. I filled the jars, he added syrup and I noticed after the fact that he did not do a very good job of removing the air bubbles - I hope that will not affect anything badly. He put the bottles in and out of the canner pot. I finished about 10pm. Have 11 pint bottles of sliced peaches. And I still have about a dozen fresh peaches that I put in the refrigerator to keep for a few more days. My refrigerator and freezer are full. Today is farmer's market day but I think I will skip it and instead plan on using up what I have at home. I could use a few tomatoes but if I go to the market, I know I will buy more than I need.
Ceejay - I saw your pictures on Facebook. It really gives a good visual on what you have to work with. I'd be nervous myself, especially having to crawl around everything but I'm sure you are used to it. I have heard that the heat indexes and temps are rather high down your way. It is just a debilitating heat with the humidity. Keep cool and drink a lot. I'll be you are glad to be back inside at work where it is cool.
Annie - yay for you for buckling down on the food and keeping an eye on the weight. I am convinced it is the only way to deal with it - nip it in the bud - don't let those lost pounds find you again. Gotta stay fit for that pretty Mom of Bride dress. I guess you minimize the fruit because of the sugar, huh? I am not a big sweets / candy / dessert eater per se but I do love the sweet fruit. Thank you for putting us all on the prayer list. We can all use some extra blessings on our lives for many reasons. I hope your brother stays stable with his numbers Thank you for the boot about volunteering - I am purposely clearing my calendar for all of August. I just wish I could bend down then and tackle the boxes in the garages which I will have to do very soon before the chilly weather creeps back up on us. Good luck in your mission to "pants men". Isn't it crazy - gray slacks should be standard. Why is it so hard to find them. The biggest issue is that outside of purple tones, gray is the next one that is SO HARD to match. Might have more black, might have a green tinge, might have threads that give it tone or color hints that are off when put together. Argh!!!! Maybe black after all Maybe forget the formalities and do a hippie wedding
Susie - I am glad to hear that you are making exercise a priority for you even if you sacrifice other things - like regular posting. You must make yourself the primary focus. I hope work is not going to be too hectic for you this week. Glad you got out over the weekend. I have heard that the Terminator movie was good. Yes, DH did get the yardwork done - thanks for asking. He needed to cover some trenches he built to facilitate yard draining and it's a good thing he got them done as we had heavy storms last night. I am glad too that I don't have to water the gardens today I read your comment about emotional eating and I feel like a drug addict that I can't seem to walk away from the Coca Cola. I guess we all have our demons. Except for vegan people. They must have the strongest will power of all.
Hello to the rest of the chicks I think I am going to fix a couple of eggs. I have been seeing a lot of articles about scrambled eggs lately and I have them on the brain. Eggs are a good breakfast for me as they protein keeps me full for a long time. I might pair it with a single slice of toast and a cut up fresh peach. Yum.
Have a good Monday - will check in later as I know Laura is flying around me at some point
