Good afternoon, 32 degrees and falling temperatures - we actually had 34 this morning.

Snow started at midnight so I got to see a little of the quilt show last night. This morning I got uo to 9 inches of snow on the ground at 8 am and it's still snowing. There is more than 10 now. Since we have no snow removal equipment to speak of - 2 plows to keep the main roads open - I'll be stuck inside until it melts or enough people go out to pack the street. I'm having withdrawal not being able to get to the quilt show today! I have to get there Sunday to take the quilts that belong to our bee down. I don't care how long the snow is on the ground if it just warms up enough to clear the roads during the day. I have another huge branch from the pine tree down in back and my poor azela is about flattened. My daffodils were up about 6 inches 2 weeks ago so I suppose they are done for. What a mess!

Faye, Thomas is certainly a world traveler! The new sewing machines are amazing. I couldn't believe what a difference it made when I went to my Singer, which was the top of the line machine, to my Pfaff and then my Viking. I buy all my greeting cards at Dollar Tree or Dollar General. They are nice cards for they are what they take out of the card shops and they are 2 for $1 or $1 each. I usualy get 6 at a time so I have them on hand.

Jean, Irene didn't have to stay in the hospital overnight, just several hours. I had to go hang quilts so Glory took over and got her home. At least you have snow plows. I'm not afraid to drive in snow being from Ohio but the nuts around here haven't a clue what to do. Our grocery stores were still out of a lot of stuff from last week so I suppose there's nothing left now as far as bread, milk, fresh produce goes.

Have a wonderful day!

Good Afternoon! The sun is shining but it's another cold windy day in my neighborhood, -8 this morning, and colder yet tonight. We didn't get any more snow later in the day yesterday, so we could have had bell practice. Now we have to be at church and ready to practice by 7:15 Sunday morning. I was supposed to go to crafty club this afternoon but the hostess canceled because of the cold -- like we don't venture out because it's cold??? The new couch is being delivered tomorrow and I hope I like it as well here as in the store. I'm afraid it's going to make everything else look "ratty." It's a little longer than the loveseat so Bob can stretch out when he falls asleep watching tv. I have my card ordering stuff scattered around so need to put that away. I saw in the paper where the hospital is advertising for an accountant. Not that it's any of my business, but I'd like to know why they let the other one go.

"Gma," Thomas has been so lucky to travel to so many different places. Are his parents going to Italy too? There is a Hobby Lobby and a Michael's in Sioux City. HL is closed on Sundays and that seems to be when I think about going there. I think eastern Iowa (Davenport) got worse weather than we did. The snow went more north of us and some schools were canceling classes the night before. We started with two hours late then canceled about 9.

Susan, I feel for you and your winter weather! We didn't think the Ohio natives knew how to drive in snow when we lived there. We'd take off to run errands or whatever, and our neighbors would just think we were crazy. The winters were very mild with maybe two inches of snow at a time, when we lived there. After we moved, they had lots of snow that shut everything down for a day or two. I can imagine you have cabin fever big time!

Hope you all are enjoying your day and doing something you enjoy!
