Good afternoon, 32 degrees and falling temperatures - we actually had 34 this morning.
Snow started at midnight so I got to see a little of the quilt show last night. This morning I got uo to 9 inches of snow on the ground at 8 am and it's still snowing. There is more than 10 now. Since we have no snow removal equipment to speak of - 2 plows to keep the main roads open - I'll be stuck inside until it melts or enough people go out to pack the street. I'm having withdrawal not being able to get to the quilt show today! I have to get there Sunday to take the quilts that belong to our bee down. I don't care how long the snow is on the ground if it just warms up enough to clear the roads during the day. I have another huge branch from the pine tree down in back and my poor azela is about flattened. My daffodils were up about 6 inches 2 weeks ago so I suppose they are done for. What a mess!
Faye, Thomas is certainly a world traveler! The new sewing machines are amazing. I couldn't believe what a difference it made when I went to my Singer, which was the top of the line machine, to my Pfaff and then my Viking. I buy all my greeting cards at Dollar Tree or Dollar General. They are nice cards for they are what they take out of the card shops and they are 2 for $1 or $1 each. I usualy get 6 at a time so I have them on hand.
Jean, Irene didn't have to stay in the hospital overnight, just several hours. I had to go hang quilts so Glory took over and got her home. At least you have snow plows. I'm not afraid to drive in snow being from Ohio but the nuts around here haven't a clue what to do. Our grocery stores were still out of a lot of stuff from last week so I suppose there's nothing left now as far as bread, milk, fresh produce goes.
Have a wonderful day!
