Good morning, ladies! Another rainy day but it will be in the 60s today.

Nothing interesting going on. I took Sandy for her second cataract surgery last Thursday and then stayed with her until Friday afternoon since I had to take her to the doc Friday at 7:45 am. All went well.

I'm still not supposed to be out and about where people may be sick or coming down with something, but I'm about crazy with staying home and I'm really thinking about going to Yoga today. I'll stay out of the pool for I don't need to be sitting around or going outside with wet hair.

Faye, I have 6 pair of winter shoes and 4 pair of summer and 5 purses. On the other hand, I have over 35 T-shirts (way too many I know so I'm trying not to buy more but I go through a lot in the week since I wear one for the Y and then another after my shower and one to sleep in. I'm glad you got your drain out. I think Jean meant the aunts paid for the luncheon for everyone so $56 wasn't too bad at all.

Jean, traffic around here is nuts, too. We only have 4 roads that go the length of the Peninsula and they go into 2 bridge tunnels and 1 bridge. The Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel is always good for at least a 15 minute or longer backup. If we have 2 snowflakes, all h..l breaks loose.

Maggie, I'm sure you are eager to see your things in the motor home and to be on the road.

Have a wonderful day!

Good Evening! I feel like the hamster running in his wheel tonight! It was -11 when I came downstairs this morning. It was a short night for us. Our plane arrived on time last night in spite of the 35 mph winds and blowing snow. However they unload planes "broke" so the poor guys had to unload the luggage by hand. We waited over an hour for it to come through. The motel where we stayed the night before our trip changed car parking companies and neither one of us paid attention to the name. I thought it was the same company except they traded the little bus for a van. Had to call the motel and then waited forever for the guy to show up. People were trying to find motel rooms rather than head home like we did, so we took a tour of hotels before we got to our car. It was parked inside which was wonderful and we didn't know that. Probably cost us extra! Roads were mostly snow and ice covered, some areas were clear but the wind was awful. If I had been alone I never would have driven home last night. Instead of "over hill 'n dale" as we usually go we took the longer route on interstate and state roads. Within a 50 mile area we counted 27 cars and vans in the ditch plus a semi on its side. Not much money to count this morning since there was only 24 people in church yesterday between the two services, counting the pastor and his wife twice. Not much from the gift shop either. I had a meeting this afternoon and just finished going through the mail -- lots of junk!

"Gma," it would be nice if your new neighbors are "good" neighbors that you could socialize with. I wanted to watch the Super Bowl commercials but it was done long before we got home. I did check the score from time to time, not thinking about finding an XM radio station. Do you ever paint each fingernail a different color?

Susan, I can imagine you have cabin fever from being shut in. That flu is bad stuff and you don't want to take a chance on getting it. I had to. at you having so many t-shirts. I must say that California drivers are courteous in that if you have your blinker on to change lanes they let you in. They drive way too fast imo!

Guess I will watch some tv shows that I recorded while we were gone. Enjoy the rest of the evening.

Talking Finally Friendly February

GOOD AFTERNOON MAGNOLIAS☺♫

AH it is now February. Anyone else feel that January went fast?

While out and about today we went by our favorite place to pick up some freshly ground coffee. Will also bought me a box of Zum Bar® goat’s milk soap. The box contains 6 different scented ½ bars so it is equivalent to 3 Zum Bars®. Ooooo and they each smell so good. “The only scents that make scents are natural ones.” They are made with pure essential oils in all of their soaps. “Zum Bars® take the therapeutic elements of essential oils beyond the shower” which means I can smell as good as I feel. They use goat’s milk because it makes silky soap. Plus goats milk boasts a PH so naturally close to your own sin that it’s gentle for the more sensitive bodies. The directions for use are: “Get dirty, get clean. Repeat as necessary.” I have been using their soap for a long time now and have several of the lovely smelling bars.

We are having tacos for dinner again today to use up the “left-over’s.” We bought another roast today to make some more shredded beef. I make slits all over the roast and insert fresh garlic slices then sprinkle a packet of onion soup mix all over it and spray it will water and crock pot it for several hours until it is fork shred tender. This makes great sandwiches also besides the tacos or in mac-and-cheese or anything you may want to put it in.

JEAN What an ordeal you had but glad you got home safely! We saw a re-cap of th SB commercials and they weren’t nearly as good as previous ones. Lousy in fact.

SUSAN You sure don’t want to get sick so stay careful as you have been doing.
Donna Faye What lovely shades of nail polish. If you don’t want to paint each nail a different color on your hands ~ how bout doing it to your toenails.

Always remember ~ Never, never, never give up
