  • WTG Shelley and Carol!!

I have been sick the last 6 days but somehow managed to stay OP. At first I thought I just pulled something in my side but the pain has been there for 6 days now.So this morning I went to the doctor and she thinks it's my colon. I had some tests at the hospital after my appointment. I should hear something in the next 2 days.

Shelley..... WTG on getting your weight back down. Do you allow yourself more points when maintaining?

Gayle... Your little baby is so cute. I know Allison is crazy about him. Will Liz be starting college soon?

Titan Dee... I don't blame you at all for putting off your trip. You have alot going on right now. Guess you kinda feel like an instant Grandmother, which is a good thing. Please post pictures soon of the babies. MY first day of inservice is July 30th. The summer keeps getting shorter and shorter.

Carol.... WTG on the 2 pounds. How much more do you want to lose? You skinny thang you!! LOL

I need to clean up the kitchen, James cooked the last 2 nights and I have clean up duty.

    Love ya...debbie
  • Just vain enough to think maybe y'all have missed me...
    Hey all -

I cannot remember the last time I posted! I know it was before I went on the latest college tour (Mizzou and K-State) with son, and that was the week of July 7.

I'm in a state of body acceptance right now. I am happy with me and am seeing beauty in the mirror. I can look at myself naked and not cringe. It's nice.

I refuse to be a slave to food anymore. I refuse. I am never going to count fat grams, calories, protein, water ounces, "points," servings, etc. etc. ad naseum again. Ever. I'm not going to psychoanlyze the whys and wherefores. The scale is gone - for good. If I'm hungy, I'm gonna eat. If I'm not, I'm gonna do something else. I'm going to exercise the way I like and not feel like it's a chore or an obligation. If I'm never a size 10 again, I don't care.

I am sitting here with a huge smile on my face because I feel truly liberated for the first time in my life.
  • Wow, Jennelle. Good for you. Sometimes I think that all the dieting I do is only making me fatter. KWIM?

I am in a bit of a rut myself. Glad to hear that so many of you are excited about WW. I'm still plugging away at Atkins but once again I allowed myself to eat whatever I wanted over the weekend because we were camping. This is not the way to lose weight!
  • Wow, Jennelle! I only wish I could do that! I would give anything to not hate myself! I am so jealous of your state of mind. How did you get there??

Sherry-My 1st day was awful! If you had a chance to leave the school system, would you?? I have a friend that can get me a job at the hospital doing gift shop stuff. The pay would be a little less, and I can't decide if I truly want to leave the school or not, even though I complain about it constantly! Mike says switching is not worth it, because the gift shop would be the first thing to go if budget cuts were made.

Debbie-I don't really count points when I am maintaining, but then again that's when I get into trouble. If you notice, I go over my points by a few most days. If I didn't get my AP's in, I would probably be eating 30=32 points.

Jeanne-Good to hear from you! Did you have a fun camping trip?

Sorry, not enough time to post to everyone. Gotta go to work!
  • Good Morning!!

    FOCUS ON HOPE

Worry is what happens when you point the power of your imagination in a negative, destructive direction. And any time there is cause for worry, there is even more cause for real hope.

You can choose, each moment, where to direct the power of your imagination. So choose to direct it toward the bright and the beautiful, toward that which you most hope for instead of that which you most fear.

Because where your imagination dares to journey, your reality will soon follow. All the places you are able to reach, you reach first with your imagination.

When worry seems to consume your every thought, remember that it does not have to be so. That powerful pull of imagination can just as surely be focused on the positive possibilities.

For every worry, there is an even more real and compelling hope with which to fill your fertile imagination. Imagine the very best, and that is where your efforts will lead.

    DON'T WORRY!!! BE HAPPY!!!

Cheryl: Congrats on the 5 lbs. WTG GIRL

Debbie: I have lots to go yet. I am feeling good about myself with my 32 lb loss, but would really like to lose about 30 more, so I am over halfway there!!! I am glad you are feeling better and I am sure your WW loss is going to be terrific!!!

Sherry: WTG staying OP. Is this weigh in day for you?

Shelley: 5 lbs gone forever. You should be feeling pretty good about youself. What is all this negative talk!!!

Jennelle: You have a great attitude. Keep it and and you will go far!!!

Gayle: What a cute puppy!! My little one (16 years old) died 1 1/2 years ago and I haven't had the heart to replace her yet. but I will one of these days.

Titan Dee: What a wonderful family you have.. Instant Grandma!! I love it!! Enjoy them when you can, they will grow up so fast!!

    Hugs

    Carol

  • Jennelle: I'm so happy you posted! I'm thrilled to hear that your feeling good and doing great! Way to go!

Deb: Have you been eating alot of veggies with seeds in them such as tomato/cucumber? That, and lettuce, is a killer for my mother with colon problems. I hope your feeling better today!

Sherry: Glad to hear the stuff arrived. Most of my figures on other items is stuff I purchase at Walmart such as the good value brand. Will you please come clean my house? It's a mess with all of our BB special events going on!

Carol: Thank you for being you! You are sooooo motivational!

Shelley: GREAT JOB!!! YEAAAAAAA!! You are so dedicated to weight loss. You know what you need to do and do it! I wish I could FOREVER stay motivated!

Jeanne: I'm doing Atkins too, but adding more veggies if I get hungry. Staying at the 20 carbs or less. If you want an address of a GREAT low carb site with a board like this and tons of info, just shout!

Ramona: I'm thinking of you! Let us know when you can.

    Dee: I'm being a nosey here, but is there more going on with you then your sharing? Your not posting as often and when you do, you sound very depressed. {{{HUGS}}}

I end up posting to all of the people that have posted after my last message. So if I missed you, I'm sorry! Know that I'm thinking of all of you today!

BTW: Weighed in: I'm down 7 pounds. Most is water weight, but it's nice to see the scale move!

    Cheat free day 8!!!!
  • Wow Jennelle, that is great! Life should be about being happy and content and if this is where you are, then you are a truely fortunate person. Good for you!

Shelley and Carol, Big congrats on the losses. You are both inspirational!

    Debbie, I hope there is nothing seriously wrong. Please let us know when you hear something. {{{HUGS}}}

Sherry, I haven't heard anything yet. Sometimes I think waiting and not knowing is the worst thing.

Jeanne, You should be named the camping queen! LOL Just enjoy your time with family and nature. The weightloss will happen in due time.

Dee, I'm thinking of you daily. I hope things are calmer for you.

Gayle, how much longer until you bring the pup home? I can't remember, have you given it a name yet?

Dee(Titan), how are those new grandbabies doing?

Vicki and Doni, hope you are having a good day.

Cheryl, are you getting lots of rain today? We are having a much needed one in R'ville.

Tonight we are having a meeting for our class reunion. It will be the first time I've seen most of these people in 5 years. Should be interesting!!!!
  • Shelley - Usually hosptial gift shops are run by the Women's Auxiliary or something similar and are self-sufficient. Therefore, they usually aren't affected by budget cuts. I say if you're unhappy at the school, find another job! Life's too short.

As far as my state of mind, I don't know - it just happened. I had a long talk with my niece while I was gone about faith and believing, and it put me back in touch with God. I turn so many of my problems over to food instead of to Him. I am His creation - a miracle - and I shouldn't treat my soul with such disrespect and loathing.

LADIES IN THE NASHVILLE AREA: Look out for the storms coming your way! Memphis got them this morning and they did a good amount of damage in the downtown area...trees and power lines down everywhere! There were wind gusts of 91 miles an hour, and we got 2.75 inches of rain in 20 minutes.
  • Hey Ya'll.......

It's so ulgy and raining here. We've had a few storms this a.m. but nothing bad. I guess its a good day to finish my bathrooms.

    Jennelle,
Wow...Your post kinda blew me away. I'm so happy that you are happy with the way you are. I love myself too and I know that there are thin & fat people but I don't believe that God would want me to stay at this weight (or getting bigger) and end up having health problems. I'm so happy for you though that you can accept yourself the way you are.I sure will give a "high-5" for that! Please continue to post with us and don't wait so long! It doesn't have to be for weight loss.....We would love to hear about your new School, class, kids, family, etc. Just always remember we're here for you!

    Shelley,
YES!! WORK: Sometimes I want to walk out that front door and NEVER go back!! I know how you feel!!! Debbie & I were talking during vacation about this. The longer you stay the harder it is to leave! I have only been at my School for 7 years (this year will be 8) and I have so much built up and at my age of 43, it just would be so hard to start over. All days aren't bad though. I loved my job until we got the new Principal. But if I can hang tight for 3 more years, she's retiring! Also, starting next month, I'm on salary distrubution and it will come in handy getting a check all 12 months!

Everyone else......Have a great OP day.....Gotta start cleaning.I'll try to post more later........
