Hi all,

Kayecee - girl, you teach me something new everyday!! I did not know 3fc had the restaurants, too. Btw, after DD has the baby in Oct. she plans to go back to school... well, it would be the Spring semester, and she was majoring in Elem Ed before she took a detour.

Kat - The WATP video is a really good one. The leader of it is not young and not too thin. I can keep up with it.... well, the 1 mile, anyway, not the others, yet.

Marti - glad you had fun with your DD9. I think having something new done to our hair every once in awhile is a necessity. My stylist recently went a little darker with mine and left some volume in the back at my request. It made a lot of difference, and I love it! When I got home I asked DH if he could tell any difference and, with a deer-in-the-headlights look, he stammered... uh, I think it's a lot lighter....

Here is a message to the awol gals: Please don't think you have to be On Program to keep posting here. In the past, I have left this thread becasuse I was ashamed that I slipped, and I don't want any of you to do that! The whole idea here is to be healthier, so if you are just drinking more water, you are doing something positive for yourself. Or if you are doing any sort of physical exercise at all, it's a good thing. Anyway, we are here to help and inspire you, so please, keep posting, and as Kayecee says: We Got Your Back! It's a team effort and those of us who are doing so well now will need you in the future! And if you don't want to mention weight, don't! Just remember that we care about you!

I just had to say that....

BBL (be back later)
TTYL, (talk to you later)
TTFN (ta ta for now)

Hi Ladies..

Long time no see! Ive missed coming here so much.
We've been computerless for a few days. Hubby is still trying to install windows xp, and weve had nothing but problems. And xp's not even in yet. Grrr! I feel so helpless without my computer.

I hope everyones doing well. Congrats Jana! Your one lb away from your bracelet!
Hello to everyone else, new and old!

Ive been doing well eating wise. Other than one little slip up. We went to a local fair on Saturday and I had my first ever funnel cake. Yummmmmm! It was as good as you all said they were. To make up for it I drank nothing but water all day, and the next day. Ive been eating pretty good lately, 3 good meals a day, with just fruit for snacks in between. Yayyy me.
I think Im going to really have to watch my sugar. I seem to get a headache whenever I eat or drink too much of it. Including the funnel cake! It was almost worth it....
Unfortunatly, as good as Ive been with food, Ive been bad with going to the gym. One time last week! Shame on me. Oh well...upward and onward...right? I dont know how good I would have done anyway, I had a headache almost everyday last week. Ive almost gone through an entire bottle of Advil Migraine.

Anyway...I better get off the computer. Weve had some pretty good thunderstorms passing through all morning, and the lightening is starting up again.
Ill be back as soon as the computer will let me!

Take care lovely ladies!

Michelle

Default All right, girls! Time for your quiz!

Whadda ya mean.... the dog ate your homework?!?! Yeah, yeah! And Antonio called me a few seconds ago and asked me out on a date! LOL Oh well, I'll let you slide for now.

Marti- YW (your welcome) for the fitday reminder. As for the password thing, I use just one for everything so I won't have to remember from site to site. I also use Notepad to keep up with info like that so I can check it if I need to. Are you done with your remodeling? DH and I started building last spring and we still aren't done!

Jana- I ditto the note to the awol gals!

Tell DD to take my advice and finish her masters degree while she is at it. I wish I had. I am about to go back this fall so I can get certified in leadership and become a principal some day. (And I love the hair story- my hubby is the same way- LOL)

Michelle- I'm feeling your puter pain! Mine went down a month or so ago and I thought I was gonnna go bonkers. Sorry to hear about your headaches. Do you know what is causing them?

O.K. Big news here- WI (weigh in) today- I was a naughty girl at times last week but kept hopping back on the wagon- Did I lose 1 pound- 2 pounds- 3- 4- NO WAY! I lost 5 pounds! Woo Hoo! I got off and on the scale like 20 times because I didn't believe it. I just have to keep reminding myself that the loss will slow down because right now I am sooo heavy and just starting. But for now... thank you whoooosh fairy! I can't wait to go to onederland! (for the newbies, that's weighing under 100 pounds) See y'all later!

Hello all.
I don't remember when my last post was. I seemed to suddenly become very busy in the last few days. DS turned 3 on Saturday and we had a party. Its sad how they grow so fast. I went to buy him his birthday outfit, and it was a size 6 in little boys. Him and his brother are both tall for their age, but it gets a little pricey buying new clothes cause they grow so fast. But, shopping at Wal-Mart definately helps.
I lost 3 lbs last week. I started doing my exercise videos in the moring, and going to the track in the evening. I am now trying to decide what reward I want when I lose 10 lbs. (Thanks for the idea,Jana) I also cut waaaaaaaaaaaay back on my portion size. I use a salad plate as my dinner plate. It helps alot. Thats all for now. Hope you all have a good week. Please, someone, send rain this way!!!

Ricci- Congrats on the 3 pounds! My DD turned 3 in March and my DS just turned 10, so I know what you mean about growing up so fast! Y'all aren't getting any rain there?!? I live in Northeast Arkansas and we got about an inch this morning. It was a slow moving steady rain so it lasted quite a while for no more than we got. My hubby finishes concrete for a living so I will be happy to do a rain dance and send it ALL to you! As for the clothes, make sure that you are cruising the clearance racks right now. I have been scoring some really good deals because they always put their summer clothes on right before school starts.

Well, Mom just walked in. Later gang!

Hi Ladies, HAPPY MONDAY to ALL!

I'm back after being MIA for a few days. There were a few tough days in there I just kinda gave up, didn't help it was TOM which made it 100 times worse. I had to tell myself I have come too far to screw up now. I have been working hard for a few months and haven't lost a whole lot but the point is I have lost some and I don't want to go back, ever! I notice some of you ladies have the WATP videos, I too have one. I have the 2 mile one and I do love it. Doing that video goes by so much faster than walking on the treadmill for 30 minutes. I also do Richard Simmons, the original one, I love that one also. It doesn't seem like exercising to me so it is fun. Anyway, today is a new day and I am back on track.

CONGRAT'S to all who lost this week, actually last week. WTG ladies, Jana, Kayecee, Ricci and anyone else I may have missed. You ladies are doing a great job.

Jana, you will be wearing that bracelet by the end of the week for sure YGG!

Kayecee, you crack me up, I love your sense of humor. Hey thanks for posting that site decreasing diane even though I have all the WW stuff I thought I would visit the site and I found some good tips. How did you find that site, do you know her? She has done a wonderful job losing the weight and looks great. I enjoy looking at others stories because it truly motivates and inspires me.

Michelle, I do hope you get to feeling better.

Ricci, hope your son had a very Happy Birthday!

Hi to everyone else, hope you ladies are having a great day. See ya later.

Hey girls, just wanted to stop in and say hello. I'm on my way out the door, it's time to go for my evening walk. I'm determined to get this weight off. It's just taking longer than I'd like.

I hope everyone had a good day and I'll check in with you girls after my test tomorrow.

Default Hey Y'all!

Well, not too bad today! I sure am tired though. (can't figure out why- didn't really do anything strenuous today- except maybe heating up that Lean Cuisine in the microwave! You can tell I am a master chef! LOL)

Cristi- Welcome back! I can feel it in my bones- you're gonna have a good week! Thanks for the kudos and compliments! I am glad you liked the decreasing diane site too. No, I don't know her, but I lurk the boards here and at WW, so I am sure I picked up that little tidbit at one or the other.

Ruth- Hope you do well tomorrow!

Hey to everyone else! See y'all later!

Is anyone having problems with getting logged out?

Well, I have to say that today is extremely Hot!! I believed it got up to 99' today. That's hot for Oregon. Makes it difficult to want to do anything. (except lounge in the Air condition)

We are getting closer to finishing the house. Should be able to move in by the first week of Aug. (not looking forward to the packing.....

I want to say "Good for you!" to all who are working out at the gym or home. I haven't gotten that far with myself yet. But I intend to. Right now my main priority is to finish this house and that's a lot of work in it's self! My bones ache at night. As I have started before, I always work with my nutrition part of my "diet" or as I like to call it a change of lifestyle... getting into a routine of eating right then slowly working my way into the work outs. Work it slowly. (maybe I'm moving too slow....)

Anyone having difficulty with their water intake?? I am having such a time with it. But I'm determined to change that. Summers are always more difficult for me. You wouldn't think so but it is for me. I do have a trick I use (or is it really a trick??) for when I do drink more water... I use only water bottles to drink out of rather than a glass. I find it easy to increase the amount I drink when using one. Using a glass, I tend to sip.... slowly. And I could be working on the same glass of water that I started out with in the beginning of the day!!

So,,, my first tiny little goal for the rest of this month is to INCREASE my water. Get some of this bloat of my bod!! You would think that with the weight loss that I had earlier in the year, that I would learn from all my mistakes. I had high blood pressure, major headaches, and all kinds of things. I had managed to lower my blood pressure to where I no longer need to take medication!! My headaches went away and I felt fabulous..... Gotta get that feeling back.

Ok, I feel like I'm babbling around and not making a whole lot of sense. (must be the heat!) So I'm going to go melt into the couch and drink some---you got it WATER!!

talk with you all later

Just had to add before I head to bed.

I did go melt into, not the couch, but the recliner, and I sat and drank almost all but not quite,a 2liter bottle of water! What was I thinking?? I'm going to have a restless night!!:

Anyway, just wanted to say that I'm going to do it. Whether I wet the bed or not!!

Have a good night all!

Thumbs down It's Tuesday!

Good morning all you jaded ladies,

Michelle - aha... funnel cakes are sooooo good! Our county fair bagan yesterday, and since it is so cool outside, I think we may go this evening. We were in the same storm path as you, but the cooler weather today was worth it!

Kaycee - 5 pounds!!!! WAY TO GO!! Doesn't it just feel great?? I'll just be so glad when DD gets a degree! She would make a wonderful teacher - it takes a special person. Like you!

Ricci - 3 pounds!!! Woo Hoo!! I'm doing the happy dance for you -

Cristi - So many people do the WATP videos.... aren't they great? I'll be glad when I can move into the 2 mile zone.

Ruth - hi, hope your summer is going well.

Marti - hope your bed was dry this morning, lol. I know from past experience that my weight loss is so much better when I get the water in. Wow, your house will be so nice! Bet you can't wait!

Hi to Kat, Carree and Angie.....

There is a Sears applicance repairman coming today to fix my stove. ......... (hope his butt crack ain't showin'!!) We have propane gas, and the stove sometimes doesn't come on when you turn it on. My house has filled with gas twice! Hopefully, it's something minor, because the stove is only 3 years old. I love it, though, because it has a delayed timer start up, and I can program it to come on while we are gone. Very handy for Sunday dinners.

What's everyone doing today? I plan to finish the laundry, play with the grandkids and burn some more CDs.

Jana

Default Hey Y'all!

Marti- Don't worry. You weren't babbling. Sometimes it helps to make small changes one at a time. I read somewhere that it takes 18 straight days of doing something to make it a habit. If you break all of the stuff that you want to do into smaller pieces, you are more likely to stick with each. Oh yeah, they have Depends on sale at Wal-Mart!!!! Just kidding! We drink a lot of iced tea here in the South. I make mine decaffeinated with Splenda and count that as part of my water. Maybe you could do that- or lemonade. I tried Crystal Lite but just could not stand it. It leaves a twang in my mouth. Splenda doesn't leave a nasty afterbite like some of the other no-cal sweeteners. As for the logging out problem, I never log out... it saves me from logging on the next time: translation= lazy. Congrats on getting so close to the move-in date. I know you will love it.

Jana- Thanks for the compliment. Hey now.... don't be talkin' bout no butt cracks- my hubby has a tan line 1/2 way down!!! (O.k. maybe not half- LOL) Seriously though, you better make sure that stove is fixed. It sounds dangerous! Butt cracks and gas don't mix.

Well, gotta climb Mount Washmore again! I hate laundry! One of these days I am gonna hire a maid... probably when I marry Antonio. See y'all later.

Hello everyone!

Sorry I've been AWOL. Another hectic week last week. This week I started the new job at LJS. I was late my first day because as I was driving to work my truck caught on fire . Just got off the phone with our mechanic, he says it's totaled now we have to go out and find a new to me vehicle to drive

Enough about me, welcome to all the newbies and to the lost ones, welcome back. Great job everyone for staying OP.

Jana, hope your stove can be fixed! Watch out for that repairman, crack kills, you know!

Bye everyone, I'm off to go car shopping.

Hi ladies,

Kayecee - I like Spenda, too, and have added it to stuff that the family hasn't detected. I have yet to cook with it, though, have you? It is a little expensive, but hey, our health is priceless! We're worth it, dahling!

Mel - glad to see your post! I bet you about freaked out when the truck caught fire! You're lucky you weren't hurt! So how's the new job going?

Hi to the others.

DH and I went to the fair ALONE today. I hadn't been there w/o kids in 32 years... when I was 17! It was so nice to just walk around and do what we wanted to do. I am very proud of the food choices - I had a hamburger, 2/3 order of fries and tea sweetened w/Equal. THAT'S ALL!! I wanted a funnel cake, and would have got it, probably, but we had already passed the stand where they were sold, and I was too tired to walk all the way back, lol. So don't be TOO proud of me! But sheesh, we walked a lot, so I sure got plenty of exercise!

Hope everyone is having a good evening!
BBL,
Jana

PS It's somebody else's turn to start a new thread soon, okay?? Thanks!!

Default Hey Y'all!

Mel- What on earth caused your truck to catch on fire?!?!? I am just glad no one was hurt. Well, look on the bright side- you have a job now to help pay for the new vehicle. Did you have full coverage? How do you like your new job? I hope everything else went well today.

Jana- Congrats on the funnel cake resistance (even if it was because you were pooped ) Sounds like you did pretty good on the other food choices, too. I usually buy my Splenda at Dollar General. Do y'all have those stores where you live? We call it the poor folks' Wal-Mart around here! LOL

If I can figure out how, I will start the next thread. DUH See y'all later!
