I hope you are all doing well. It's been quiet in here for a few days! I really miss all of you! I hope some of you come back to post a "hello" or something!
As for me, nothing new. I'm 34 weeks pregnant and really feeling it. My little bambino is really kicking up a storm but that is OK. I love to watch and feel him move, always brings a tear to my eyes. It is truly a magical feeling. I am walking more even though I waddle more than I walk. I'm starting to crave salads...I dont know why but I do. I guess a healthy craving is better than a bad one.
Well, I'm off to bed. Hopefully there will be other posts than my own in here!
I hope you are all doing well. I really don't have anything new to say but I did have a goody to share with all of you!
Have a great weekend and I hope someone other than myself comes in to post!
Sylvia

First of all thanks so much for the birthday wishes. It was much appreciated.
I had a great birthday. My Air Force daughter, Tracy got married on the 14th in Springfield, Ohio and the wedding was beautiful. Not a dry eye in the church, Brett's Mom, Denise, did a wonderful job with all the wedding plans. Everything went well and my new dress that Chrissy picked out for and with me looked great on me, that's what everyone said. I will cherish the memory of my daughter's wedding always. She is the 1st one to get married and I am happy for her and Brett, they are truely made for each other. She did a wonderful job of picking her soulmate. We love Brett's family so much and all get along wonderfully. I couldn't ask for a better son in law than him. He is so loved and fits right in with our family and he adores my daughter so much. They are so in love and it was apparent by all that attended the wedding as everyone kept on telling me that they could see that.
That night. we all went to Applebee's, my whole family, all the Scandirito's, my brother from Florida, his wife, SIL Chrissy and nieces, Emily and Ellen, my Dad-Papa even came and took a break from his assisted living home in Michigan. Brother Jer was there along with all the kids including Tracy and Brett, the bride and groom. It was so wonderful to see all my kids all dressed up. As other daughter, Kelly was the maid of honor and the boys, Dan and Alan were also standing up for Tracy. What a misty eyed moment when each of them walked down the aisle all dressed up and looking so wonderful. Tracy's dress was beautiful and Ken couldn't be prouder than when he walked out little girl down the aisle to her husband to be. :
Chrissy had a surprise party for me, complete with ice cream cake, balloons and lots of cards and presents. My gosh what a great birthday following Tracy's wedding. I really enjoyed being with my family. All my family, the Scandirito's were at the Fairfield Inn along with us and all Ken's family, the Scobels were across the street at the Country Inn Suites and we about drove ourselves crazy going back and forth at night trying to see both sides. Why oh why couldn't they all stay at the same hotel, would be easier on us. LOL
So now the wedding is over and I have been trying to catch up on things I wanted to do. Our youngest son, Alan was home for the wedding for 2 weeks and just went back to his Air Force base in California yesterday. Tracy and Brett are on their honeymoon on a cruise to Alaska, but will be stopping for a visit mid week on the way back home to Florida. So it will be great to see them and I hope they have taken lots of pictures of Alaska, gosh I would love to go there for a cruise. I hear the scenery is just breathtaking.
Well it looks like Sylvia is really holding the fort down here, along with Judy and CJ too. Thanks so much guys for doing that.
Sylvia-Hope you didn't get too lonely. It sounds like you are doing great. Gosh to think you are now 8 months pregnant and in a month you will be holding your little bambino in your arms. I know you just can't wait. Thanks for keeping us updated as to how you are doing. Thanks for posting like you have, what would we do without you Sylvia? Thanks for the birthday greetings.
Judy-That is great that Allura is visiting you for the summer. I know you will really enjoy having her around. That kitty sounds adorable. We have 4 cats in our household. We just got a couple of months ago a beautiful Calico cat, around 1 yr old who wandered into our garage, thru the side door and she just stayed with us. Ran an ad, but awwww no one answered to claim her. She is even declawed in the front, so I am sure she is spaded as well. Just took her to the vet's and got a clean bill of heath and all her shots. She is the sweetest cat I have even seen and she just loves me, always sitting on my lap and next to me when I am sleeping. I think she is just grateful to me cause I was the one who took her in. I really love her and think it was meant to be that she found us, We have named her Calli. I have ALWAYS wanted a Calico cat and now have one. She is also the only other girl in our house besides me. All the other cat's and our cockitiel are boys and so is everyone else in this house a boy. So I feel like I have a girlfriend around here. LOL So enjoy your grandaughter and your new kitty and glad the kitty's eye will be alright and I know you are too.
CJ-Hey there girlfriend, miss you and it sounds like you sure have been busy as well with all your company coming. We need to talk to figure out a good time to come up there for a visit. Now that the wedding is over. Now I can think! LOL Congrats on all your winnings. How the heck do you every do that? I NEVER win anymore than say $20 or $30 when I go. What is your secret to winning big? Thanks for the birthday wishes and good thoughts for the wedding. Hey checked out your website and it sure is looking again. I especially love all the recipes and think it is great that you have including many from family, friends and readers too. You have done a great job and I can see all the hard work you have done. Give yourself a pat on the back.
Sherry-Oh Sher Bear. how wonderful of you to post and wish me a happy birthday. I really miss you and so do everyone of us. I got your private message email and thanks so much for it. Sent you a reply and hope all is well with you. I know from your email that you have been so busy with your family and everything else going on. You are a very special gal do you know that? Post again if you have a minute and let us know how things are going.
KimV-Hey there girlfriend so happy you posted with us again. Missed you so much too. Even though you new job has it's drawbacks, the part where you lose weight from sweating is kind of a bonus if you know. That is great that Chad is helping with Hannah around the house. How lucky you are. Yes please go to the doctors to find out about your lack of energy. Post again when you can and let us know the doctors visit went.
Desiree-So glad you came back and posted. It was so great when I read your post. It sounds like you are doing great with your pregnancy, cause I checked out your journal and loved what I read. I also went to your home page and really enjoyed that too. Especially Ethans page, how cute he is I thought. I also loved your picture page and the pictures of you when you were a baby and your wedding to Robert. How beautiful you both looked. Thanks so much for the link to your website. Keep on posting and let us know how you are doing with the pregnancy.
Weightwise I have been holding my own. Tryed to lose some weight before the wedding and did manage to lose another 7 or 8 pounds before the wedding, so the dress fit better, but gained around 5 after the wedding and that was for 2 weeks as I was taking Tracy back to Springfield to finish up the wedding plans after Brett dropped her off here for a few days to visit with us and have her Bacholorette party and he had his in Springfield. So that wasn't too bad, but now I have been trying to get back on program.
Well I guess this post is long enough and should get off here and get some things done around here. Been going going going this past month with the Memorial Day company, the Air Force kidsi coming home and the wedding. Man I am just happy to be home again. You know what they say "There is no place like home" and I second that. Have a great evening guys, and love you much.
Thought I'd better say a few words before everyone thinks I've gone away for good!
Allura and I have been going to Curves 2 or 3 times a week and running around all over the place. They have offered a weight loss class and I started that yesterday. Any help I can get will be appreciated!
I bought the new Harry Potter book so she has been reading for the past couple of days. Wish she would hurry and fiinish it so I can read it too! Yes, I am a Harry Potter fan, big time!
I bought myself a new lawn mower and I have been getting my exercise mowing my own lawn! Man! What a job! The heat and humidity are killers! I only do a small portion at a time then wait until I have caught my breath and go at it again. I have a huge yard so I will probably take three days and do it in thirds. I have all Summer to look forward to.
Sharon, sorry I didn't send a birthday card, but Happy belated birthday wishes any way! The wedding sounds beautiful and I wish the newly weds a happy life together.
Where the heck is Chrissy? The next time you talk to her, tell her we all miss hearing from her.
I hope you are all doing well. So nice to see that I'm not the only one in here!
Nothing really new to report...I have 5 weeks until my due date and I've only gained 6 pounds. I am starting to feel *something* down there....sometimes it really hurts and sometimes it's just uncomfortable. I don't know what labor feels like(I will soon) so I keep wondering if "it's time". Getting comfortable in bed is a whole adventure in its self. My doctor told me it only gets worse... Not exactly what I want to hear when it already takes me 15-30 minutes to get comfortable to sleep and then of course, it's time to use the restroom. But you know what, even with all the stuff that I've been through, I'm loving every minute of being pregnant.
My baby shower is this Sunday...I don't know how it will turn out considering there are 86 people going. 26 of them are little kids, thank god my sisters had enough sense to reserve a picnic area in a park. Get this, they are having "game stations" so that every one can participate. They got over the whole "Martha Stewart" baby shower thing very quickly! I'll let you ladies know how it went.
Sharon- Hey Girl!! So nice to hear from you! Sounds like Tracy's wedding was beautiful...send us some pix!! That was so nice of Chrissy to throw you a surprise party! You are quite the party girl, aren't ya?!?! Good job on keeping the weight down, I know how hard that can be for anyone but look at all the parties you attended....wow!
CJ- Nice to hear from you! You are quite the lucky one aren't ya! Maybe you should have bought a lottery ticket as well!
Judy- Hey lady! Sounds like you and Allura are having a great time together. It also sounds like you are doing great on your workouts. How do like Curves? I really miss it. Keep up the good work.
Boy has this been a long day. Had to work today. Only about 4 hours, though. Been putting in about 5 hours OT every week, and this week, sat. too. Be a nice check next Friday, though. It's already spent, too. I have my 15 yr. class reunion coming up next month and have to pay for that, and get a new outfit. Hoping can get a 16W instead of the 18w I'm in now, so will actually put off buying the outfit until a little closer to the end of July. That's my current goal to move down a size.
I got on the scale this morning and had a nice surprise. It was at 192. That is before sweating to death at work today. Put me in a good mood all day, then an even better mood at the end of the day when it said 189 (though I know it doesn't count cuz it's "sweat weight").
I haven't made it to the dr yet. After thinking about it for awhile, finally figured out it the fibromyalgia I was diagnosed with 2 or 3 years ago. It can cause extreme fatigue, muscle and joint pain, and insomnia. Duh! Like how could I forget all those wonderful symptoms. I am lucky that I usually don't have a problem with it during the summer, and when the cold weather sets in is when I have the problems. This year, with me working (first year I've worked out the home since the dx) it's no wonder I'm feeling it.
A friend of mine has FM, too, and she is a big help in getting me through this. She handles hers through diet, exercise, and on days when she is really bad, rest. She is a great encouragement on my bad days.
Chad, Hannah and I have been going to little league ball games just about everynight, and we get so busy with it, and my games, that I almost "forget" how tired I have been lately, and have been feeling better.
Speaking of my softball games, I have missed the last 4 games (family in for a visit for two or them and an injured finger the last two), and wouldn't you know it, we won two and tied one. Maybe I'm better off being a cheerleader that playing
Anyway, it's so good to have a computer again and be back here talking to all of you. Thanks for the open arms and big hearts. I really need it.
Chad and I are having problems. We have been to marriage counseling, and really trying to work on our problems, but it's just not there for me anymore, and have been thinking of divorce more and more. I just don't want to rush into it, and I have Hannah to consider. Oh, there's more to it, just not enough time and space to get into it all.
Some good news is Chad started a new job Thurs. He is the asst. manager at Indy Lube (oil changing place, like Jiffy Lube, etc). I have been so stressed with trying to make ends meet with just my income and Hannah's SSI. Were are lucky that the house and car payments are current, and managed to keep the utilities on, and that's about it. The drawback is we are going to need childcare now (about $85 a week around here), and will probably lose all of her SSI.
That has been one big problem between Chad and me. He would argue it wouldn't be worth it to work because by the time we paid for child care, and lose her SSI, he would only be working for about a $1 an hr. I told him that would be about $40 a week more than we have now. I know he has enjoyed being home with Hannah, specially the last few weeks were he is actually home with her (before his idea of being home with her was to go to his mom and dad's house after they got up in the morning, and staying there and letting them feed, dress, and entertain Hannah while he watched t.v., or ran around. Then complain the house is a mess and sit down and watch t.v. while I did laundry, cook etc.). He has done an excellant job of cleaning house, and he and Hannah have really gotten closer. I wish we could afford for him to stay home with her. Maybe when things get straightened up around here.
well, i guess i jabbered and rattled on long enough. Got to get to bed as we have to be in Kokomo by 10.
Hi everyone! Just popping in to say hello ... hope all is well with you all. Been busy here .. had company last weekend and expecting some more tonite for the 4th weekend. Hope everyone has a wonderful 4th!
My girlfriend sent me this link to a wonderful 4th of July page that I want to share with you .. it's beautiful!
Sharon, thanks for stopping by the website and you kind compliments. And happy belated birthday!
In case the rest of you are curious, you can get there by going to: www.twoweekslate.com. I have changed the URL of my journal, and that will be properly linked there. I've also changed the link in a previous post I had in this thread.
As far as the stay at my mom and dad's house... it wasn't all that bad. If you take out the bad parts, like my 18-year-old sister being a butt the whole time I was there and Ethan "escaping" out of the house when I wasn't looking... well, then it was a nice vacation! Rob came down on the 27th for his little birthday get-together -- we had a nice dinner and cake and he opened his birthday cards. We were going to go to the outlet stores in Castle Rock the next day, but we never got the chance to. When he gets paid again, he'll get whatever present he wants since he is so hard to pick for. I did get him a new keychain, which sounds corny, but if your name is Rob in this house you really need to have a good one. He would lose his keys if he didn't, and his was looking ratty anyway. My parents got back on the 29th, and I braved a major hail storm to get them from the airport. We all got to see some great pics (including underwater ones!) and were given some great presents!!
The pregnancy is going well. I am approximately 22 weeks now, only 18 more weeks to go! LOL -- and no more than that!!!! Ethan was fifteen days late; I'm not going to do that again -- NO THANKS!! We had our recent ultrasound on the 25th (I think... preggo brain!) and found out that were are expecting a girl. We'll just see. You never know when something will grow, right? I have my ultrasound pics up at the website, but I'll tease you with one now (if you look closely, you can see that she has her hands covering her face):
I can feel a lot more movement these days, and have discovered that she is a night owl like Ethan was. Not really looking forward to being kicked while I'm trying to sleep when I start getting closer to my due date, but that's what I get for being a night owl myself!!
I am really looking forward to getting back in shape and back on WW when I can. I told myself that I am going to reach my goal weight as soon as I can -- I'll be setting my goals the minute I am able to.
Anyway, I better go for now. Take care, everyone!!

Hi guys,
Is everyone having a wonderful holiday? Ken and I are just chilling here. We have had so much going on between the wedding and the out of town company that all we want to do is relax and maybe go to some fireworks later on tonight that is IF we feel like it. It is sooo hot here that it had better be pretty darn cool for us to venture out of our air conditioning. LOL WE WANT RAIN!!!!! NOW!
Desiree-Gosh you are having a little girl. I am so happy for you. I back again and checked out your latest entry into you pregnancy and saw all the ultra sounds and they all looked great to me. So you better start thinking of a wonderful baby girl's name. There are so many beautiful ones I think. I know you will both come up with something great. Glad your visit with your parents wasn't too bad. Hope the time before the baby's birth passes quickly and soon you will have a beautiful newborn baby girl in your arms.
Sylvia-Gosh it is great to feel like an aunt to 2 babies, both yours and Desiree's. To think we now have a boy AND a girl on the way. To think you have only a month before he is born and will be holding your wonderful baby boy. You have done wonderfully with your weight too. Only gaining 6 lbs is so great and just think when you have that baby you will be minus weightwise. Hope your baby shower turns out well and your get loads of wonderful boy clothes and other neat stuff to help you out. I love baby showers, they are such fun. Let us know how it goes and what you got.
CJ-Hey girlfriend, got your email and just sent one back to you. I went to that website for the 4th and thought it was so beautiful. Thanks for posting and giving us the site to go to. How you doing? I know you have been busy busy busy, but come back and post again and let everyone know how you are doing and help the action around here. Actually we arn't doing too very bad, thanks to Sylvia, KimV, Desiree and Judy too. As well as you and myself too. I will try to post more often and you do the same. We won't let this group fade away will we?
Kim-I am so sorry that you and Chad are having problems, but am happy that you are going to marriage counseling. I hope that helps big time. I feel so bad for you Kim with everything else going on in your life. Between the financial situation, your fibromyalgia, and everything else you have had to deal with. I am glad that Chad has gotten a good job and will keep my fingers crossed that things work out for you. Please feel free to post and let us know how things are going for you and you family. We all love you Kim and are here for you when you need some support.
Judy-It sounds like Curves is doing you loads of good. It really de stresses a person to be able to work things off. Between the gym and mowing the lawn you must be getting a great work out. It sounds like things have been going great for you. Thanks for the birthday wishes too.
Well guys, I better get going otherwise I will spend all day of this computer. LOL
Hope everyone had a great 4th! Mine was something I'm not going to forget soon. Went camping for the weekend, and ended up sitting out a VERY VERY bad storm/tornado warning in a pop-up camper. I am a chicken s*** when it comes to storms, anyway, so it didn't help. It felt as if we were going to start tumbling end to end any minute. It got bad enough I was praying to God to take me and protect Hannah. She was fined through it all. Thank God we were okay. Came home that evening (about 6 pm) to stay at the house because Chad had to work the next day and found we didn't have any electricity. Didn't get it back until about 9 am the next day. We were lucky. Across the street, and about 3 house down (for about 3 or 4 blocks worth of houses alltogether), they didn't get there electricity back until TODAY! All I got to say about this is...
Thanks Sharon--were you not the one wishing for rain!?!? Did you get anybad storms?? Hope you "weathered" it okay (Sorry, couldn't resist).
Work is going okay. I'm on 2nd shift for the week. Almost wish I was on it all the time. No alarm clock to get up too, and everyone in bed when I get home. Well, almost. Hannah was up getting into everything while Chad was sound asleep in our room. He never tried putting her to bed. She had chocolate M&M's ground into my bed, one of my GLASS glasses on the floor in the hallway, had gotten into the sunblock and rubbed it into the table, chair, and floor in the kitchen. At least they won't get sunburned I absolutely hate it when he does that. Goes to sleep when she is still up. He is such a sound sleeper. It's almost scary how sound and I worry soooo much she's going to get hurt. I'm not kidding when I say sound sleeper. I have come home to find him in bed and Hannah up screaming at the top of her lungs and he never hears it. I try to get him to put the gate up btwn the kitchen and living room so she is corralled (sp?) in her room or the living room, and then he can snooze in the recliner. At least it's only 2 rooms she can get into. Or at least put her in her room and lock the door. She's safe that way. Am I just being an over worried mom?? Hannah has NO fear (part of the autism), and being a curious 3 yr old on top of that, who knows what she will get into. I know locking her bedroom door sounds cruel, but it's for her protection. She is so quick, and quiet, and like I said, curious, with no fear of anything. She would be up on the counter or table in no time, or trying to get into the cabinets (has figuered out the cabinet locks), refrig, or stove (knobs are off because she knows how to work that, too). She keeps us on our toes. Anyway, I've let some steam off, and I'm better now.
Guess I had better go and try to get some sleep. Not used to 2nd yet. By the time I get used to it again, will be time to go back to days.
I hope you are all doing well. I'm just popping in for a quick hello!
Nothing new to report, still pregnant and waddling(3 weeks until my due date). We went to the Labor & Delivery tour yesterday and it really hit me, I only have 3 weeks to go I've been pretty much non-chalant about labor. Not really nervous or scared, is this normal? I'm just trying to keep an open mind about the whole thing and trying to stay relaxed. The birth rooms have jacuzzi whirlpool tubs for laboring women so guess where I'll be most of the time!
My baby shower was a couple of weeks ago and it was fun. The baby got all sorts of cute clothing and stuff. I had to return a lot of the clothes due to the fact that they were mostly shortsets and for 6 month olds...I don't think I'll be letting my baby wear shorts in January! Luckily we don't really need that much, we bought all the big stuff once we passed the "critical" stage. Luckily the stuff we do need is inexpensive.
Kim-Hang in there chickie! Hopefully things will get better for you and your husband. I'll know soon enough what toddlers can get into! Glad to hear that the storms didn't affect you badly.
Desiree-Hello my fellow Preggo! Glad to hear your pregnancy is going well. How time flies, I have 3 weeks to go and you have 18! I lucked out, my bambino isn't a night owl, well, not yet. But those kicks... Congrats on having a girl! Do you have any names picked out yet? I'm sure you hear that a lot. We are still working on a name for our bambino.
Sharon- Hey there Chickie! You sound like me in the heat....you want rain and I want fog! It's supposed to heat up this week and my Mom keeps bugging me to go up to see her but not in 100+ weather...air conditioning or not. Can we say swollen feet? Hope you and Ken are all relaxed!
Well ladies, I'm meeting my sister for lunch in a couple of hours and I have some errands to run.
The last couple of weeks have been really bad for me! I've been feeling rotten and not enough breath to keep up with going to Curves.
It's just past harvest time here in this part of the country. After the wheat is cut they set fire to the stubble left in the fields. The air is thick with smoke all the time and plays **** with everyone who has respiratory problems. Allura went into severe distress and I had to call the paramedics. She was transported to the hospital by ambulance. They worked on her there for a couple of hours before she started breathing right again. Needless to say, scared the crap out of me.
I called her mother and she made it here in less than six hours! Good thing there was not many Highway Patrol cars out at that time! She took Allura back to Nebraska, so now I'm all alone again. Just me and all my critters.
My niece has recently moved from Ark. to Wichita Ks. to a beautiful new home. I followed Doris as far as Wichita and visited with my niece and her family overnight. Since I very rarely go anywhere by myself, this was a whole new experience for me. But I made it back home without any problems. For someome who is such a recluse like me this was a real big deal!
I think I told you about my two new kittens? One is about 16 weeks and the other about 10 weeks. They are so playful and in to everything! The older one has discovered the sponge on the kitchen sink. He seems to think it is his personal play thing! I have to hide it otherwise I find it all over the house...wherever he has tired of playing with it! The younger one gets into the pantry shelves every time I open the doors. Before I can close them I have to drag him out of there! They want to play every morning about 5:00 A.M. so there's no sleeping late! They are sooooo cute, how do I get mad at them?
It has been so hot here I haven't been able to work in my yard. While they were here my daughter's girlfriend mowed my lawn and pulled all the weeds in my flower beds! Since I don't have to worry about that for a week or so, I guess I will have to clean up this messy house! I haven't done anything for the past month while Allura was here!
