  • Hi, everyone! Great about the Sunday posting of weights and measurements--Sunday is my official weigh-in day on the Atkins site anyway, so it'll be perfect. I'll also post my numbers when I first started the low-carb program, so my progress will show too. Well, I am quite bushed this morning (too much time go, go, going on my feet this week)--don't leave for work till 12:30, so I want to get some "me" time in--then will work with the girls on housework, especially cleaning their bedroom--yuk!!

  • Hi, everyone! I thought I'd get the posting of weight and measurements done this morning, or I might forget about it today. By the way, I survived my hectic week, and hubby and I are going to see "Open Range" this afternoon--that'll be a great way to wind down before the school year starts tomorrow. Okay--here goes:

    Weight/measurements when I started Atkins--sometime in June:

    Weight: 169 lbs.
    Bust: 46.5 inches
    Waist: 37.5 inches
    Hips: 43 inches

    Weight/measurements today--Sunday, August 24, 2003:

    Weight: 162.5 lbs.
    Bust: 44 inches
    Waist: 36 inches
    Hips: 41 inches

    Lost so far: 6.5 lbs. and 6 inches

    My weight loss goal: 135 lbs.

    Got to go--time to get ready for church/then grocery shopping. Bye for now.

    Ok, here are my stats from Nov until now...I couldnt find where I wrote down my Oct measurements which is really when I started. ( I think I weighed 242 in Oct )

    Weight:

    November 2002
    235 lbs
    August 2003
    198 lbs

    Measurements:

    November--Waist--45 inches
    August--Waist--40 inches
    November--Hips--53.5 inches
    August--Hips--47 1/4 inches
    November--Bust--46 inches
    August--Bust--42 inches
    November--Midriff above waist--46 inches
    August--Midriff above waist--41 inches
    November--Thighs--27.5 inches
    August--Thighs--24.5 inches
    November--Calves--17.5 inches
    August--Calves--16 1/4 inches
    November--Upper arms--15 inches
    August--Upper arms--13 inches
    November--Lower arms--12 inches
    August--Lower arms--11 inches
    November--Neck--14.5 inches
    August--Neck--13.5 inches

    Whew! That took awhile. Can you tell I wanted to know every single inch that I lost ?? I measured EVERYTHING. Still at a standstill on the weightloss..I havent lost (or gained, thank goodness) since May! Every day someone asks how much more weight I've lost and always it's the same old answer...nothing lately. They all swear I look like I have, but I really havent. Not giving up tho...my mother-in-law hit a plateau for 8 months once but she's now a Size 8-- started out at a Size 18--so I'm just gonna keep on keeping on. I still want to lose at least 35 more lbs.

    Cant wait to see everyone else's progress. No matter how much or how little it is, we're all much healthier now than then for sure!

    chest 38 inches
    waist 33 inches
    hips 42 inches

    weight 167 pounds


    I will look up my old measurements but I dont think much as changed.... Ok I gotta go but I will post monday morning from work ...ugh

  • Hi Cyan...you're right..it's way too quiet in here! You, Newie and I are the only ones who have posted in ages. Maybe everyone is busy with kids getting back into school, etc. Time to get back on a regular schedule rather than the crazy summer ones. I miss everyone too. Anxious to hear from them all..hopefully soon.
    Just got back from walking 3 miles and dripping with sweat so I need to hit the shower now. Just wanted to check in before getting ready for bed. Have a good day tomorrow....halfway to the weekend!

  • Hi, all! Sorry to have not posted for a couple of days--am adjusting to back-to-school schedule. Also, I haven't slept well the last couple of nights, so I've been struggling with energy issues. I walked Monday--it felt good--but not yesterday. This morning I am going to the school to set up for tonight's bingo before work, so I doubt I'll get it in today. It's the last bingo for me for 10 months, though, so a weight will be lifted from my shoulders after tonight. Food is doing okay, although I had a small Dairy Queen with younger daughter while waiting for older one at ballet class. It tasted good at the time, but later I felt all bloated and couldn't eat dinner for several hours. Well, got to go. More soon.
