The Countdown to Summer Challenge!
Here we go Ladies..my last ditch attempt to kick some fat cells outta my life :) i promise to post every week :crossed:
Starting weight 164.5lbs :( April 25th 160.5lbs :) -4lbs May 2nd 157.5lbs :cp: -3lbs May 9th 157lbs :shrug: -.5lb May 16th 158.5lbs :( + 1.5lbs Depressed and off plan this week :cry: May 23rd 157.5lbs ;) - 1lb May 30th 155.0lbs :bravo: ;) June 6th 157.5lbs :( June 13th 157.5lbs :shrug: i know..i can do better :lol: June 20th 158.5lbs this morning :( 1lb GAIN!! Total loss 6lbs in 9 weeks :rolleyes: PATHETIC :lol: I'm into exercising again now and once i get my diet under control i plan to make some great progress..are you still with me? |

Girl, don't even talk to me about rain :) We just got dumped with about a half foot of SNOW yesterday here in Alberta. Yuck. At least the sun is out today so it should be nice and sloppy today and tomorrow and then dry up again. I'm looking forward to getting outside to walk, walk, walk. Have a great week!

Hi its me again.
Sorry I bailed on the Easter Challenge. I went on vacation to LasVegas for 2 weeks. I thought I would be able to post from there, but the RV park we stayed at had no internet connection. Plus with 2 weeks of buffets, I let counting points, exercise (although we did walk A LOT) and posting just go by the wayside. I have been home now, and conveniently forgot to go back on program. But, my pants were so tight today, that it gave me the kick in the butt reminder I needed. SOOOOOOO If I go off and stop posting, please reel me back in!!! Email me, instant message me, anything! New Scale = More Weight
Okay so I got my Tanita scale and it seems I'm not as skinny as I thought I was hee hee :D But also, TOM came a week early so I don't know what my real weight is :?: So I guess next week will be a more accurate reading.

Hee Hee, I wish that everytime the scale said that I gained weight that I could take it back and make them give me a new one that would read my goal weight when I stood on it :D That would be pretty cool. I can just imagine how the convo would go:
Walking into Costco and approaching returns line~ Me: Excuse me but I would like to return this scale. Costco Employee: Why? Me: It say's that I weigh 166 pounds! Costco Employee: So? Me: Well I don't weigh 166 pounds. I would like a scale that reads 145 pounds when I stand on it. Costco employee: Sure no problem. We'll get you your new scale right away. Hee hee :lol: Yeah right!!!! It was fun to fantisize though :smug: |
I did OK this week, thanks to the flu. I'll take it anyway I can get it! Hope all is well, keep on losing!

I didn't do too well this week either Cat, better from the flu, and TOM. But, this is a new week. Just got done walking for 30, and actually JOURNALED for the first time in a while.

Hi Girls..i'm all gung-ho again :lol: walked/jogged 1 mile yesterday ;) would have been more but i forget my water then i worked in the garden for 5 hours. I'm determined to be good for the remainder of the week :D

Barb - I'm glad I can provide some laughter for you :lol: Sometimes I'm a little too sarcastic but hey I gues that's just how I am. Don't worry about the half a pound. You're still doing really great. Look at the difference between the 5th and the 19th. That's an awesome loss :cp: I bought a new pedometer off Ebay about a week ago and it is wayyyy off so I bought a new one from Kmart. Hopefully this one works well. I will test it when I do my 3 mile Walk Away the pounds video today. Hope everyone is hanging in there and meeting there May goals!!! |
:lol: how many miles was the pedometer you got from Ebay clocking up? Jess :lol: so, you are another WATP's user are you? two ladies on TPAAT are doing that too :D i have a treadmill so can't really justify buying the tapes :) plus i've got a batch of Pilates ones that i've got to break in :lol:

Well the walk around the park that I go to is is about 2.8 Miles. When I went walking with my crappy Ebay pedometer it read .113 of a mile :yikes:. At first I thought I put it on the wrong part of my pants or something, but then I did my WATP 3-mile walk and when the tape said that I had completed .5 mile of a walk I checked my pedometer and it read .012 of a mile. Then I put my mom's pedometer on for the rest of the tape and it was close because it said 2.7 instead of the 2.5 miles, which is about right because I alway's work at a higher intensity then the tape. So I tried my new KMART pedometer that is a lot cooler then the :censored: Ebay one because I program my weight and age in it and it tells you how many calories you burn, steps you've taken, and miles you've walked. It also has the time of day and a stop watch. NEWAY's I tried that one with the WATP and it was pretty much on target.
I like the WATP tapes, but they get kind of annoying after awhile. Usually I'll just have the tape running and do the steps to the music without watching it. There are only 4 steps so its not hard at all. I have the one with the 2 pound weights. Overall I think they are great tapes to lose weight to no matter what size you are. Especially since it has a 1, 2, and 3 mile tape and uses weights. I only use the 3 mile tape because the other ones don't feel like I'm doing anything. I recommend them to anyone who needs a push to lose weight. I'm thinking of buying the WATP with the resistance bands. I may check them out on EBAY, Half.com, or Craigslist.org (hopefully I won't get screwed over like my pedometer :lol: Actually I've alway's had good luck with Ebay until now :( ) . I've never tried Pilates. Let me know what you think of the tapes and then maybe I will incorporate Pilates into my workout. Hope everyone is doing well. I will weigh-in tomorrow!!! Good Luck with the weigh-in Jess :) if i were to use the WATP's tapes it would be the one with the resistance bands too..i need to push myself a little harder to see results..a brisk walk won't do it :( i keep meaning to try the pilates tapes but i'm a TVholic :lol: when i'm working out i like to watch tv and i feel like the tapes are taking my tv time away from me :lol: |
Congrats on the weightloss Jess :cp: i did the Pilates 20 minute tape yesterday and i really like it..the first time i was "hmm..don't know if i like this" because i could'nt keep up but yesterday i kept up and was able to do everything except the last exercise where i lost my balance :lol: i'm going to do it again this morning :wave:

I'm not sure how well I'm going to do on my diet because my graduation is tomorrow and we are having chinese food and of course cake (Yummy)!!! Hopefully I will only have a little bit. Congratulations on your Graduation Jess :bravo: be careful which Pilates tape you buy because i bought Pilates Plus at first and sat there with my mouth open :lol: it is much too difficult for a beginner then i bought Winsor Pilates and it is excellent she shows you all the moves and you don't have to be a rabid dog to keep up :lol: i've just done the 20 minute tape now i think i'll stick with that one for a while before i go on to the accelerated tape.

What kind of school are you finished with? Gosh, must be a great relief. You are all doing so well. I guess my problem is I need to get moving. They have just opened a Curves for Women less than 1 mile from my house. Do any of you have any experience with that? It sounds good so far, no men allowed, no skinny girls in spandex, no mirrors. I ate wayyyy too much this past graduation weekend so I'm up 1.8 pounds :eek: to 166. I ate Chinese food, cake, bbq, icecream, etc. :( Actually I weighed myself Tuesday and I was at 166.8 so I've lost .8 lbs since Monday, which is good. I've been doing good as far as eating and drinking water but haven't gotten any exercise in because I'm wayyy too busy. I'm not going out with the bf tonight so I will get some exercise in after I get home from work :D Thanks for the info on the pilates tapes. Maybe I will get the Windsor one. I'm still debating though. Thanks everyone for the congratulations! To answer Barb's question I graduated from San Jose State University w/a BS in Business Administration emphasis in human resources :) I'm just glad it's over. Cat - Thanks for the compliment. I'm 5'6.5" but everyone alway's thinks I'm a lot taller then that because I usually have platforms on :lol: In that picture my shoes are about 3 inches. hee hee! Well it's almost June and my June goal is to get to 159.5 That is 6.5 lbs. I think the goal is very much doable and I hope I can make it. Have a great weekend everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
:mad: Aaaahhhh up one pound! But the weird thing is that my clothes are looser and my stomach looks a little flatter. I have even been getting compliments from people saying that it looks like I'm losing weight. Then why the heck is my scale going up rather then down?!?!?! I don't do very many weights so I don't think I'm gaining much muscle. Unless I'm gaining muscles in my legs from walking. That could be a possibility. I guess I shouldn't be so dependent on the numbers, but I just can't help it. I really want to accomplish my goal of losing 5 pounds this month. I should be happy that my body fat percentage did go down .5 % so I guess my analogy of gaining muscle is right. Its just frustrating to have the scale numbers be so high.

Have you taken your measurements? some people find that that is a better indication of their loss than that infernal scale :lol: you've probably guessed from my tone that i've gained too..2.5lbs!! My Fault..no exercise for a week..and not really worrying about what i've been eating either..i have'nt gone overboard but i could have done a lot better..we are currently having a heatwave here should reach 32 degrees today and i'm moving really slow :lol: from my bed to the deck to sunbathe :s: i think i'll visit some websites and decide on a plan and stick to it..i want to lower those numbers too :D HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND! :wave: |
