Mel
So nice to see you again. Please take care of yourself.

Laura
The message sounded good but not sure if I would have liked the set up. Dinner sounds good.

Michelle
I'd like a shopping spree at Khol's. Did you enjoy the production of the Fiddler on the roof? So nice that DN is coming for a work visit.

Ellen
Sounds like you've had a lot on your plate. Enjoy your DH's band concert.

Happy
Don't over do the packing. Enjoy some time with your mom and enjoy the pool on these hot day's.

Shad
Is this the week you have some time off?

Drove up in the yard today and the tree's look so good. Then came inside and took a much needed nap. This heat exhausts me. It was a 103 degree's at my uncles. My aunt and I fixed lunch. My uncle had a good day. We had a good day.

Shad 06-20-2011 02:36 AM

Quick one. I haven't been able to give much thought to what we have been talking about on PM's. It's a difficult decision. And now that she's baaaack in a small way it will be impossible. I'll be back later

happy2bme 06-20-2011 08:14 AM

Good morning from me too.

Busy weekend, Monday rolls around too fast. Went to church yesterday, did grocery shopping, went to an open house around the corner yesterday to size up the competition for house sales and did a little more shopping. Came home, grilled steaks, did some laundry and a bit of packing. Tuckered Mom out I think. I did see a former co-worker at the store who lives in my town. She retired last year and they are thinking of moving to North Carolina. She said they put their house up for sale and it sold in 8 DAYS! She said they don't have any place to live as they did not anticipate it going that fast. So that was encouraging. The realtor yesterday said the house sales are going for 96 percent of asking price. That's encouraging too.

I'm afraid I don't have any time to post this morning. I need to go make my lunch and will post later.

Mel  sooooo good to hear from you  even if you are "cheating" when Jen is out :nono:  We miss you lots!

Will catch up with the rest of you in a couple of hours...

annie175 06-20-2011 10:33 AM

Happy Rainy, stormy, flood ridden morning....OMG.

Getting home from St. Louis was awful. What normally takes us 4 hours to drive took us 6 1/2 hours due to construction near Effingham, IL and Terre Haute, IN. Didn't get home till 10:30 last night. Time I unpacked, did some laundry and washed my face for bed it was 12:30 am. Moving slow this morning. Then if that wasn't bad enough, it took me 1hr45mins to get to work this morning. It was cluster F out there due to the storms and the idiots on the road. Numerous wrecks and flooding on the roads. Glad I stopped long enough to get my 'gift' Starbucks to drink along the way, sure made time pass better. (Winking at you, and you know who you are).

THe birthday party was wonderful. Dominic is so sweet. Olivia will be 3 in August. She is getting a playful ornery side to her...I think it is cute but her momma doesn't think so much. lol It was baseball themed. Hot dogs & brats..yuck. Popcorn, pretzels, cheese sauce, crackerjacks, bubble gum, and cake...and of course soda and beer. There were a ton of little ones under the age of 5. Noisy too!! haha. All and all it was a good time.

BFs doggie had surgery this past Tuesday, had 8 tumors removed. Only one was cancerous but they seem to think it was contained and got it all. One was literally coming out of his rectum. Another one on his side was a pound. Poor thing was a mess. Had to wear a cone so he wouldn't pull the drain tubes out. He gets his drain tubes out tomorrow. It will be much better then. Poor boo Bailey. That set them back 3 grand. Yikes. I might have to think about that.

Hey MELLIE thanks for the HBs. Glad to actually hear from you altho you need a spanking for not minding. Hugs....

Desk is covered. Got to get busy. Hello's to all...

Love and Hugs....

Good morning ladies -

Happy Monday. Crazy busy weekend. Friday afternoon, I had a meeting with a website client, followed by "real job" work in the evening. Saturday, it was website work nearly all day, except for a quick break to do a Kohl's shopping spree with DMIL. I should've bought a few more things...but I at least got what DH and I needed, plus a nice b'day gift for DH's aunt. I mowed the backyard in the late afternoon on Saturday, and did some laundry throughout the weekend. Sunday was up early for more website work, then DMIL and I left at 11 am to go meet up with her sister and others to go see Fiddler on the Roof. The performance was outstanding!! About halfway through the second act, I started getting a migraine. I'm so susceptible to migraines when we have extremely humid days (which yesterday was). After the play, we all went out to dinner. I was feeling worse and worse, but got through it. Finally, on the drive home, I confided to DMIL about my migraine (since I'd been downplaying it - acting like I was ok the whole time). DH was ready at the door when we got home with a cold compress, medicine and a Gatorade. I rested the remainder of the evening, and felt much better this morning. Hopefully the migraine doesn't come back.

Thankfully, my niece's flight doesn't get in until 9:30 pm on Saturday, so I have all day Saturday to clean (as long as we don't go fishing).

********************

Happy - Good for you for sizing up the competition at the other open house. Was their house staged nicely? That's great to hear that houses are selling for nearly the asking price, and selling so quickly too!

Ellen - Sorry to hear that you were pushed to the max with your siblings, their dog, and all your kids. And busy with birthdays on top of it. It's ok to have cake every now and then. So you had it then, just don't have any more now. I hope you were able to enjoy DH's band's show.

Mel - It is SO good to hear from you. Please don't overdo it though. Please take care of yourself and don't ignore the pain. Pain is the body's way of saying something is wrong, and to quit doing what you're doing. Follow the doctor's orders so you can get better faster. I hope you enjoyed your movies and books.

Laura - Funny that you saw Fiddler in a HS theater production! I had a small part in my HS production of Fiddler, but I'm sure you didn't see it as I went to HS in California. That massage sounds okay, except for the part that it wasn't private. I've had non-private chair massages at the State Fair, where you're on display in front of everyone walking by. I don't like the non-private part at all, but usually after walking around at State Fair, I'm so sore that I need the massage and don't care about the lack of privacy. I really need to wash the walls and ceiling in the kitchen and bath, but I don't think that's going to happen before my niece arrives.

Shad - I totally understand about how you haven't had much time to think about the PM with all you've been going through at work. Let me know when you decide. Where are you this week?

Annie - Glad you made it home safely from St. Louis. Sheesh, girlfriend, you sure are having your run ins with construction and weather related traffic! So nice that you were able to enjoy Starbucks in the traffic jam. Glad you had fun at the b'day party. I'm hoping to see photos soon (hint, hint). How is Sam feeling? So very sad to hear about Bailey's surgery. $3,000? OMG! We paid roughly $3K for Doppler's cataract surgery, but dang, I didn't think it would cost so much to remove tumors. I'm sending healing thoughts and prayers to Bailey.

Lots to get done this week, so I'd better get back to work.

Love and hugs to all,

ceejay52 06-20-2011 01:26 PM

Happy
That was a good idea when you checked out the competition.

-------
It's been a good day at work thus far. Half way nice outside.
Nothing new.

Laura705 06-20-2011 02:31 PM

Morning all. Oops, afternoon!

Ceejay - Glad you had a good visit at your uncle's place. Yeh, the hot weather can be so exhausting, though I have to say I usually have the option of being indoors in the AC for most of it. But then there's that feeling of going stir crazy at being inside....

Hi Shad!

Happy - That is encouraging news about the RE market in your area!

Annie - Glad you enjoyed the b-day party & made it home safely despite the weather and construction. Late night - zzzzz. Poor Bailey! That's a lot of tumors. Poor bf's wallet too! Do they check the tumors for cancer before the removal? Just curious. Coal has one lump somewhere in size between a grape and an egg that's just sitting there, not growing , and a couple tiny things. He has his full check up coming up this month, so I want to ask the vet about that.

Michelle - Glad you enjoyed Fiddler and saw most of it before the migraine came along. That's too bad, especially to not be at home when it strikes! I'm glad you're feeling better today! :)

Nothing much to report. We had bf's mom over for dinner last night and we had grilled pork chops and a side that's cooked on the grill in a foil packet - potatoes/onions/pepper/Ital. dressing. Yum. I had made the cheesecake in the morning and then a salad before dinner. Nice evening. We sent ALL the leftover cake home w/ mumsy, but we have a lot of salad leftover so I want to have that for dinner tonight.

Tonight might be an exercise class, but I also have to drop off a check for the Relay for Life event I'm participating in on Friday - tomorrow night is Bank Night for dropping off donations. BTW, if you want to consider an online donation....check out my participant page (hope the link works):
http://main.acsevents.org/site/TR/Re...mp;fr_id=30598

FYI, neither of the people in that photo is me. I'm not very comfortable w/ fundraising so I didn't do much in the way of personalizing my page, etc. Made my modest goal and that's it. Hoping for good weather on Friday for the event - ladies, cross your fingers for me!!

annie175 06-20-2011 11:08 PM

Well I am home from CVS....and baking my really awesome brownies...double fudge, chocolate chip, peanut butter chip with cream cheese icing brownies...very evil...thank GOD I do not like chocolate...I am safe. David is coming over for dinner Tuesday eveming, he is a dessert-holic. I am working on fattening him up a bit, might be a challenge as he does not eat 3 meals a day and he is a runner.

Shaddie...I think they took a biopsy before surgery to check for cancer on Bailey. God love him, he looked so pitiful. Hella B has a nice size bump on her side but the doc said it is a fatty tumor, not cancerous and not to worry about it unless it bothers her. She has had it for about 3 years, so I think if it were something serious she would of died by now... I am not worrying about it, plus I do not have the $$ to spend on her. I love grill cooking and your dinner sounds delish!!

Chelle...thanks for asking about sissy. She has had 3 days, heave ho free. We are shooting for 4. She has her doc appt, which I am going, of course, on Wednesday morning. MAYBE...we will find out the sex....it might still be too early to tell... Thank you for the thoughts and prayers for Bailey Boo....he is a sweetie. Glad your migraine didn't develop into something even worse, like a 3 day migraine. Hugs sweet sista.

Ceejay....glad your day has been nice and smooth sailing...

Better get to my brownies and get my chicken ready for the crock pot.

Sweet dreams, my chicklets...

diyana 06-21-2011 07:43 AM

Good morning ladies -

I had a doctor's appt after work - a follow up visit about my back. The doc was pleased that I'm exercising a bit and trying to modify other activities (gardening and rock collecting specifically) so I can do them without stressing my back too much. He's pleased I only have to use the cane/walker occasionally now, as opposed to nearly all the time when I saw him a few months ago.
After the doctor appointment, I picked up DMIL and we ran several errands. Then when we got home I tried, I really tried, to get some significant cleaning done last night. But after I did a little, I was really tired. I'm taking Friday off to do website work, and if necessary a bit of last minute cleaning.

We're supposed to get really SEVERE thunderstorms today. It's a line of storms stretching all the way from Canada to the Missouri (and maybe farther). I hope no one gets really severe, damaging or life threatening weather.

************

Ceejay - I'm glad work went well for you yesterday. Did you get big storms last night or are they still heading your way?

Laura - Doppler has a lump that's about the size of a golf ball, but the doc says it's a fatty tumor and not cancerous and with his diabetes, if it's not bothering him, the doc recommends against trying to remove it. He's had it for around 5 or 6 years. It hasn't gotten bigger and it doesn't bother him. Glad dinner with bf's mom was so yummy. Good for you for participating in Relay for Life! I'm keeping my fingers crossed :crossed: for good weather Friday night!

Annie - The brownies sound so good. Yummm. So good that Sam is feeling better. Good luck at the doc appt tomorrow morning. Enjoy your dinner with David tonight.

A big  to Shad, Happy and Ellen!

Healing hugs to Mellie!

Time for this chick to go get some coffee!

Lots of love to all,

ceejay52 06-21-2011 09:27 AM

Another day another dollar as the saying goes. And it's the first day of SUMMER.

Annie
The brownies do sound yummie.

Michelle
I like good doctor's visits.

Laura, Happy and Ellen have a good day.

Speaking of doctor's visit's I have one on July 1 mainly for blood work. Also ned to call the dentist office to schedule a cleaning. Woke up this morning with a tummy ache. It felt like an elephant was standing on my stomach. It's much better now. I'm not used to the plant being this quiet.

diyana 06-21-2011 09:46 AM

Ceejay - I love your new avatar! I really like butterflies! Sorry to hear you woke up with a tummy ache, but I'm glad you're already doing better. Hang in there.

happy2bme 06-21-2011 10:03 AM

Good morning ladies,

I can't get on at work - we are having some issues with our internet service, apparently we are at capacity on the network so when you take that and add it with a site like this that sometimes can be slow to respond, it means pages sit forever. :(

I had a bit of a breakdown yesterday morning. I think it got triggered when we went to the open house Sunday afternoon. Looking around the house seeing it was staged, everything is taken out but the furniture. Nothing on the walls (no artwork), no decorations and of course nothing on any of the counters anywhere. It's like looking at a furniture showroom in which no one lives there. I knew going into this that I would have to pack up things from the shelves in the living room and get most of the stuff off the kitchen counters save for the coffee pot. There is so much to do here that it is getting overwhelming. Particularly being gone 10 hours a day. I am not a morning person and no matter how hard I try, I cannot get up at 4:30am like some of you hearty souls and get into the office at 6:30 or 7. Consequently I don't get home until after 6pm. Fix dinner, eat, spend a little time with the family and before you know it, it's 8pm. I am trying to get in bed by 11 as I have been tired lately so that doesn't leave alot of time to get things done. There is still the routine stuff like laundry and regular cleaning to be done. And you can't pack EVERYTHING away because we still have to live here for whomever knows how long. DH was very nice when I broke down, and Mom offered me one of her tranquilizers  but I said no. At first DH said we were not moving the entire contents of this house up north - he is right we have too much stuff and need to pare down. But yesterday he said if it's too time consuming, just pack things up and we will store the boxes in the man cave and sort it when we get up north. Can have a garage sale or give it to Goodwill when we get there. He said to focus on getting as much out of here as possible in the easiest way possible for me. I was even thinking of cancelling our upcoming vacation because I felt that perhaps it would be better if I took the time off and applied it working at this house instead of the other one. He said that wasn't a very good idea and if anything, maybe we just come back a few days early. Besides, we are taking a trailer up there and he can't unpack and move everything himself or my cousin will find him laying on the deck collapsed in the sun. I'm ok now, sometimes I have to hit bottom before I can regroup myself. I guess I was the same way when we moved from Chicago to here. :dunno:

Michelle - well that's good news that the doctor gave his blessing about you adding more exercise into your day. :yay: I hope you don't get too evil of storms today. Sure been getting alot of rain up your way. Hope you can get the house in good enough shape for your niece's visit. I can relate to your comment about getting tuckered out. Fly Lady the place and you'll be fine I'm sure - just don't try and go overboard, yah hear? I'm so glad you enjoyed the Fiddler on the Roof performance. And you didn't say anything about getting up to dance "If I were a rich man... " in the aisles, so I take it you behaved yourself? oopah! Oh and thanks for the F&F discount. I supported Kohl's big time as we bought a new set of cookware. I almost fainted when the bill rang up (almost a thousand dollars). The checker scanned the pots the first time and put them on the counter. When I slid the box across the counter to put it on the cart, I didn't realize that I slid the box in just the right way so the UPC bar code scanned again - ack double charge! We fixed it and that coupon sure did come in handy so thanks for passing it along.

Annie - hope David liked the brownies. Runners seem to be pretty dedicated to eating clean. People have told me that once they got into it, it felt so good that eating the good stuff just came naturally. An admirable trait. I'll bet you are anxious to find out the baby's sex. Is she getting one of those 3D ultrasounds where you can see the baby's face? To me, all newborns pretty much look alike  But I can imagine it has to be a heart in the throat feeling to see your baby for the very first time. Annie - what road were you on with all the construction traffic? I am hoping it was not I55 as that's what we are taking up north in a couple of weeks.

Laura - your dinner sounds yummy. We have marinated shrimp in Italian dressing but I never though of doing the potatoes like that. I have all the ingredients and alot of potatoes to cook up so I may try that tonight with our meatloaf. Thanks for the idea! I really wish the Relay for Life and fund raising organizations would accept Pay Pal for payment :( This way I can use my slush fund and don't have to explain any credit card charges to DH who is usually good about stuff but you never know when it will turn into a "discussion" - you know what I mean? ) :dunno: I understand what you are saying about the facial massage but I heard that all that pulling and tugging is supposed to rejuvenate things and snap them back into shape. I did a facial twice and didn't really care for it. Left me feeling rather greasy.

Ceejay - that's nice that you had a good time with the family this weekend. I agree about the heat and humidity just zapping the energy right out of you. How is the new car?

Ellen - oh boy - 3 birthdays - that's sure alot of cake! and other stuff you probably don't want to be eating within 3 days of one another  Summer birthdays should be bbq chicken, fruit salad and maybe a little potato or pasta salad :hungry: I actually got a great recipe from Kraft Foods for low fat pound cake, ff/sf vanilla pudding, sliced fresh berries - strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and peaches topped with light Cool Whip topping. It was deliciously refreshing and light. I much preferred that over the heavy sugar based frostings. Jello has a red white and blue cake recipe something like that which is also a nice light summer dessert. Then again there's always booze filled slushies  :hat:

Shad - have we lost you in the mines or are you wedged in the middle of that tiny classroom between 4 blokes? Thinking about you - haven't heard much from you so you are either super busy or in an internet dead zone.

Mel :grouphug: to you and Jen. Hope you are both doing well and that you are behaving yourself Missy. Glad you have a new library of stuff to keep you occupied and out of trouble for the moment. Sending you love and healing thoughts my friend

Ok guys, time to get a move on here. Have a good one.

Shad 06-21-2011 10:40 AM

Mainly busy, but also in a zone where the internet zips in and out depending on the why you breathe. Sneeze and it is gone. It's much better at 5.00am and not midnight.

And make that nine blokes in a room big enough for 4 plus 9 laptops and a data projecter. Thats me up the back trying to keep order. You can't see me unless you peer through the legs. This course was better than the last one - otherwise I may have gone down the mines and caused the blast.

Today - yep it is 12.35am or in 24hr time 0035. I need to get to bed. I am going to Townsville today and then home to Brisbane at the weekend. One more trip to Mackay the week after and I am done with travelling for a while - :crossed:

Gotta go get some shut eye. Back in for personals at the weekend.

diyana 06-21-2011 10:56 AM

Happy - Awwww, poor thing. I know what you mean about the "staged house" look. When we looked at this house, there was nothing on the counters, and the only artwork on the wall were a couple family photo portraits. I look at how cluttered it is now, and I can't believe it. Books and bookcases, lots of knick knacks. Our house is way beyond FlyLady...and probably needs me to shop vac all the clutter away! I'm so sorry that you are feeling overwhelmed. I know what you're going through. You have every right to feel that way. Moving is so stressful and can be very overwhelming! You are gone from the house so many hours each day, and with your mom visiting you want to spend time with her. And weekends are just not long enough. I can totally understand how you would like to be cloned (or at least have more hours in the day), just like I do. That's nice that your DH is willing to move the extra stuff up there and sort it out once you're there. Congrats on the new cookware! I'm glad the double charge got sorted out. I'm trying to figure out how to balance rehab'ing my back through exercise, with cleaning and website work. I have to fit it all in this week and don't know how to make it happen.

Shad - Unreliable internet and cramped working environment. :faint: I'm glad this course is going better than the last one. So nice that you get to go home for the weekend. Enjoy your trip to Townsville!

Laura - You're so good about keeping your blog up to date...and I've been feeling the need to journal (meaning not only track food, but track feelings and my progress) for a long time. So thanks for inspiring me to update my blog.

annie175 06-21-2011 01:32 PM

Happy....I70 Eastbound into Effingham, then I70 Eastbound into Terre Haute. Don't know about I55 as I do not travel it going to St. L. I am I70 all the way to 275 South around St. L. to the SW corner, exit Telegraph, into Oakville, MO. Keep your chin up girl, it will all fall into place, don't worry about it and take one day at a time, the move will go smoothly, wait and see....Hugs sista.

Holy Crap Shaddie...pray no one farts in that room...you will all die...hahahahaha

Chelle..more exercising, that should bring your spirits up. We have been having nasty weather also. Another storm rolling in tonight. Oh boy, can't wait. NOT.

Get wells to MELLIE.

Hi ya's to everyone.

Love and hugs

Ceejay...hope the tummy is feeling better. I get tummy aches all the time, and man it takes it out of me.

ceejay52 06-21-2011 06:15 PM

Michelle
Thanks, I like your avatar too.

Happy
Sorry you had the melt down. I understand though as there is much to do when one moves. Think I'd take DH's advice and pack it and store it in the man cave at the new house.

I'd been expecting storms most of the day and they've all moved south and west of us.
Why is it I can't get back into the mood to get healthy?
I asked my boss about a question about something that turned up on the computer. Seems we may have an employee that is also a "hacker". My boss changed my password for the second time. I'll have to be extremely careful on posting in my online blog.

diyana 06-22-2011 07:05 AM

Hi everyone -

Well the drive home yesterday was fun. NOT. And I even left a bit early because I was watching the weather radar and I wanted to try and get home before the bad stuff hit. Turns out, it hit shortly after I left. Pouring rain, thunder, lightning and 60-70 mph winds. The lightning strikes were on all sides of me as I was driving home. I just kept two hands on the wheel and tried to get home as fast as conditions would allow...which meant driving around 50 mph on the freeway. As I got closer to home, I heard the tornado sirens for the next town over. I couldn't see anything as there was too much rain...so I was nervous about a rain-wrapped tornado (which are difficult to see) being nearby. Luckily, my DMIL and the pups were fine and there were no downed trees. When I got home, we watched the weather reports on TV and I checked the radar on the computer, just bad storms...no tornados. We got hit with severe thunderstorms all night until the wee hours of the morning. But were all safe...just a little sleep deprived, especially DH as he comforts our little Mischief during storms. Other areas of Wisconsin did have tornadoes, so we were lucky. John was working up north yesterday and he said took a photo of a tornado forming (luckily he was a safe distance from it).

I got some cleaning done last night after things calmed down. More cleaning tonight, tomorrow, and finishing it up on Friday. Then I should be able to get some website work done on Friday and Saturday (until my niece's flight gets in on Saturday night). :) DH's plans for Saturday including finishing the first of the block wall planter areas.

*******************

Happy - I don't know if I mentioned this or not...but I have a recommendation for packing your stemware. Go to liquor stores and grocery stores and see if they have any empty cases of wine/booze. Those are usually partitioned (sometimes with thick cardboard), and they work well for stemware. :) Stay calm and remember you can only do what you can do on any given day, and it will all get done. It'll all be okay. I hope you didn't get hit with bad storms yesterday/last night.

Annie - I'll be thinking of you this morning as you and Sam are at the doctor's. As for more exercising...yes, I'm allowed to gradually increase my exercise...of course that happens this week when I barely have time to do any exercise.

Ceejay - I hope your stomach is doing better today. Glad to hear that the storms missed you. Hackers, viruses and malware are so prevalent that one really has to be careful where they "surf".

I'll check back in later...for now, I'd better get some work done.

Love and hugs,

ceejay52 06-22-2011 09:06 AM

popping into say hello.

Laura705 06-22-2011 10:41 AM

Morning all. Not much time today.

Ceejay - Hope you're tummy is all better today. Love that new avatar!

Shad - Sounds like tight quarters for that training. In addition to Annie's comment - let's also hope no one ate onions or had BO, LOL.

Happy - Sorry this moving is so overwhelming. I believe that is one of life's biggest stressors, along with new job, death of a loved one, etc. If it's not possible to get to everything and go through it the way you want, then I guess you'll just have to box it all and move it with you. Heck, you'll have plenty of time after your move! Chin up!

Annie - How did the doc appt go - you might be in there right now...boy or girl? Mmmm, those brownies sound delish. You are something else - at home after working your 2 jobs, cooking and baking!! Your new guy is a lucky fella for sure! :)

Michelle - OMG, sounds like you got hit with a lot more of that weather system than we did! So glad everyone was okay by you. We did get hit with a very severe storm in the evening - more later. I'm not cleaning up for company like you, but this week at work feels like there's just not enough hours! Another new avatar - so cute. I'll have to dig up a new one too!

Hellos to Ellen and Mel.

Went to the movies last night, hearing the weather people on the radio warning of severe weather headed our way. About an hour into our movie (Super 8), the film stopped and lights went out. That was freaky because it was right at a point in the movie where the town's lights/power had been flicking on an off! Emergency power kicked in and we sat around waiting to see if the movie would be restarted. Nope. Everyone was milling around the lobby and theaters waiting for the weather to clear. The theater gave out passes to come back for the movie we didn't get to see in whole. Glad I was in the theater and not really hearing the full force of the storm like I would have at home. Bf said he and doggy were fine, but he'd never heard such winds. I was surprised they didn't go down into the basement during that time.

When I drove home, I saw so much debris from trees, and a lot of downed trees. Had to detour off the main street because of that. Thankfully our two giant trees in back were fine. One of our large ones in front has at least two large limbs that cracked and broke, but didn't fall off completely. We need to get a tree service out to trim them. Others on our block had worse damage. Once house on our block that lost a tree to a storm a few years ago appears to have major damage to yet another and I'm sure it'll have to be removed. :(

No workout tonight because I have a hair appointment.

Okay, better get back to work.

Morning....that is all I can say about that. It is morning..

Could not tell if it was a boy or girl yet. He/she looked adorable. Mouth was open and moving, talking to us (GIRL, haha). Babe was sitting Indian style tho. 148 heartbeats a minute. too cute.

David and I broke up. Cried most of the night. Not over him but what he said. If you have seen the movie Shallow Hal, you now know why. Body Image on my part was not good enough.

One of my besties got laid off this morning. Linda's last day will be August 23rd. I have been crying this morning too, eyes about puffed shut, feel like h*ll, and need some sleep.

Nun or lesbian are now my choices in life.

Laura - You don't need a new avatar. We all love your Snoopy avatar! How freaky to have the power in the movie theater go out just when the movie town's lights have been flickering on and off. Good that you didn't have to hear the full force of the winds and glad bf and Coal were ok. My DMIL's sister who lives just west of Milwaukee said that in all the years she's lived here, she doesn't remember a storm that packed that much punch and big winds. I was really surprised that DMIL and I (and the doggies) didn't have to go down into the basement. Sorry to hear about your cracked tree limbs. At least you, bf, Coal and the house are all ok.

Annie - Awww, the little one was talking to his/her momma and Grannie Annie. That sucks about David. What a jerk. He didn't think you had a good enough body image? :censored: What a b*tard. You're a beautiful woman, inside and out.  Wish I were there so I could give you a hug in person. So sorry to hear about your friend being laid off. That really sucks! Hopefully she finds another job soon, and you two will be able to remain friends after she leaves.

annie175 06-22-2011 12:47 PM

Thanks Chelle, you always say the right things....I am not upset over David himself, as I wasn't in love or anything like that, it was just the words that cut through me. Words sometimes hurt worse than the actual punch. (Experienced both via exdh, so I know first hand). A body heals, a mind not so much or as quickly. I probably need counseling.

diyana 06-22-2011 01:42 PM

Awww, Annie, I'm so sorry that you had to experience both verbal and physical blows from your ex.

diyana 06-22-2011 01:43 PM

Just had a very pleasant surprise on the scale. Last time I weighed myself (about a month ago), I was 245...then lately I kept feeling "fatter" and "fatter", so I figured I had to be around 250 by now. I just weighed myself, and I'm 238.6! I am so thrilled! :woohoo:

annie175 06-22-2011 02:02 PM

YOU GO GIRL.....see stay the course. That is ~7 lbs. Doing the happy dance for you, at last I can celebrate something happy..YOU!!!

Laura705 06-22-2011 05:16 PM

Michelle - Yay for you! :carrot: Keep up the good work!

Annie - Not a good day for you. :( Maybe I'm not understanding what happened with David, but a person's actions AND words make them who they are... Sorry your friend is getting laid off.

Another day has flown by. Another hour to go before I leave. Learned the boss and the admin are both going to be out Thurs. & Fri, so it should be nice and quiet for me the next couple days. :)

ceejay52 06-22-2011 09:09 PM

Michelle
Congratulations girl. Must be all that chair Zumba. I hate driving in hard rain. I love the radar we use at work.

Annie
 David should not have been so blunt. Shame on him. You are a beautiful woman. Sorry about your friend being laid off.

Laura
That would have been an experience that I hope I will not have to go through.

I downloaded Google Chrome and am using this at home. Didn't know what it was. So far I like it and my cursor isn't jumping around.

I've had a good week at work and am now settling in for my three day week end. Not planning on going anywhere, maybe to Blytheville to get a few groceries.

I really need to exercise, but just can't get in the mood.

I'm at a loss as to what to get Mel. Did we ever decide? I know some have gotten other things.

annie175 06-22-2011 10:00 PM

Thanks Laura, Ceejay, Chelle...I am actually doing better...been in chat on FB with a few of my 'guy' buddies that have helped explain what an as*hole David was and what a great opportunity with me he had...

In all evilness...I hope and pray that the grass is NOT greener on the other side of his freakin' mind and he gets burned by whatever he is doing. Ok, that is the mean side of me coming out and I need to pray on that..but truly believe WHAT COMES AROUND GOES AROUND and he has just created bad KARMA for himself. Please let it be Lord. Sometimes I just get SICK and TIRED of being the nice, laid back, sort of gal.....curses to you, David...you get what you deserve...ok rant over...I hope I don't burn in H*ll for that.

diyana 06-23-2011 07:28 AM

Hi everyone -

Today is my Friday! Yay! Gonna spend tomorrow (and Saturday) doing website work and cleaning...fun, huh? Oh well. I'm finding that by the time I get home from work, I'm usually too tired/sore to do much in the way of serious cleaning, so I've been tidying up in 15-30 minute increments. Yesterday was a great day for me with the weigh in, that is until I got home and DH called as he was leaving work. Someone broke into his truck yesterday while it was parked right in front of his work (in the second spot closest to the building). They didn't get much...just a GPS and a few CDs...but having to replace the driver's side window SUCKS! DH thinks the crook(s) probably saw him unloading computer equipment out of his truck and figured there might be more inside. Thankfully, there wasn't.

******************
Laura - I hope you enjoy your quiet Thursday and Friday!

Ceejay - Have a nice, relaxing 3 day weekend! It's hard to get in the mood to exercise, but you'll feel so much better after you move. C'mon, Ceejay, you can do it! "Put one foot in front of the other...da do da do do" There hasn't been a decision yet. Waiting for Shaddie to get a chance catch her breath in between mining expeditions.

Annie - I'm glad your "guy" friends confirmed what a stupid a**hole David was. I believe in karma as well...so David better look out. You won't burn in H*ll, sweetie. You and I will have plenty of 'ritas to douse the flames.

Shad - Have you had a chance to come up for air yet? Are you back home for the weekend? I hope you're doing okay.

Happy - I know you're busy as can be. I hope you're taking care of yourself and able to enjoy your time with your mom.

Mel - Sending lots of love and healing hugs your way.

I'll be back later.

Love and hugs,

diyana 06-23-2011 01:49 PM

So quiet here today.....where is everybody? :?: :mag:

annie175 06-23-2011 02:02 PM

I am here. Had my review today...I came out ok on it. I am happy with my rating.

I just really don't have much to say, I am still reeling from the David thing, right now I just want to punch him right in the nose. Skinny b*stard.

diyana 06-23-2011 02:07 PM

Annie - Congrats on your review! Yay!! :) As for David, he's not even worth thinking about. What a b*stard. What a freakin' a**hole. I'd like to give him a good swift kick MUCH LOWER than the nose.

Laura705 06-23-2011 03:03 PM

I'm here. Feels like it should be Friday already.

Ceejay - i agree w/ Michelle - you always feel better after you exercise, so just do it!

Michelle - That stinks that dh's vehicle got broken into. It's your Friday, so happy Friday to you! Hope you squeeze in some fun between cleaning and website work!

Annie - Yeh, go ahead and curse the heck out of this guy and wish him bad Karma, etc. Get him out of your system, and then stop wasting your valuable time on him. Glad the performance review turned out good.

Hellos to the rest of the Worldlies.

Yesterday I took doggy for a walk, then drove to the hair salon for my appt. I knew right away something wasn't right - I was the only car in front! The salon had no power due to the area outages, so it was closed. Someone took my name and number and just contacted me today after lunch to reschedule. Unfortunately, my appt isn't until Monday evening. I kind of wanted my touch-up before my friend's graduation party on Saturday. Since her dh passed away last year, she's been reconnecting with a bunch of our old friends & bf's from our HS days and some of them might be at her party!! You know you want to look halfway decent for those occasions! :D Oh well. I'll be presentable, with or without the touchup... Anyway, if the only things this storm has done to me is make me miss part of a movie and a hair appointment, then I have a lot to be grateful for. :)

Feeling a bit tired. I've been waking up around 5:15-5:30 am each day - not by my choice! I think I wake up when our neighbor leaves for work - our bedroom is on the side of the house closest to our neighbor's garage and driveway. I don't actually fully wake up hearing their garage door raising or his pickup pulling out, but I'm sure it disrupts my sleep enough for me to realize I have to go to the bathroom. At that point it's late enough for me to have trouble falling back asleep before my usual wake up time of 6:00 am. It's not much by itself, but after a whole week of that, maybe combined with some nights of getting to bed too late...it all adds up by the end of the week. Boo.

I probably won't post tomorrow because I'm taking a half-day of vacation and then gathering all my stuff for the Relay for Life that evening. Everyone have a wonderful Friday/Saturday/weekend. :)

diyana 06-23-2011 03:10 PM

Laura - Bummer that you can't get a touch-up hair appt until after your friend's graduation party. That sucks about waking up before your alarm every day. You should tell your neighbor to go to work later! :lol3: Enjoy your half day off and the Relay for Life tomorrow! :running:

Well, just about time to head to physical therapy. I'll try and post tomorrow while I'm on the computer doing website work.

Hope you all have a great evening!

Love and hugs,

ceejay52 06-23-2011 04:46 PM

I'm here too. Decided that I'd post in the afternoon instead of morning. I'm on my computer at home. In fact I may wait till I get home to get on my computer for personal use due to the non sense at work.

I've been moving shelves from the living room to my office in order to prepare for a new piece of furniture-rocker/recliner. Now I need to purchase some L brackets to secure them as they are not very steady

For some reason I have severe sinus drainage today. I've taken a ClaritinD so we'll see how fast it works. My throat is half way sore too. I'm thinking the nicer change in weather is the culprit. It's perfect weather this week and I've been outside more.
--------
Annie
Yeah for the good review. Sometimes I wish for a punching bag for these instances.

Michelle
It's a shame that your DH's truck was vandalized. Enjoy your day off tomorrow.

Laura
Bummer on the hair appointment being cancelled because of the power outage. Will you walk or run in the Relay for Life?

Hello's to Happy and Ellen.

annie175 06-23-2011 11:08 PM

You girls are THEE very best.....I truly mean it. As I was working at CVS tonight, I kept getting this OMG I just want to beat the h*ll out of that Fkr. I can't help it, he makes me so mad and has no idea how close to death he really is...lol. I know I will never see him again and never have the opportunity to just wallop on him, but why am I so angry? I have not felt this way since the x-dh. I guess I am just feeling some of the hurt and pain that I experience with x-dh. I don't know, maybe I am just babbling and tired and need to go to bed. Long day tomorrow, both jobs again. Have mercy on anyone that crosses my path lopsided. lol

happy2bme 06-23-2011 11:42 PM

I'm sorry you were hurt Annie but I don't quite understand your reaction to David. Not that I am condoning whatever he said but wait a minute - didn't you call one guy Snaggletooth because he had a chipped tooth and you admitted that you just couldn't get yourself to like him because you could not get over his crooked teeth. Didn't you call one guy Stubby Fingers (and not in a good way) because of his physical attributes. And another who was just a few years older than you (and younger than me, Mel and Shad) you declared that although he was a nice guy, you just couldn't date an OLD man? How do you think these guys would have felt to hear how you talked about them? Or don't your words sometimes hurt too?

Maybe it's a good time for me to take a break from the computer. I have way too much to get done in the upcoming days and this might be the perfect time to pack away the TV (not that I've watched much of anything) and the computer for a while.

I'll check back later. Y'all take care of yourselves.

annie175 06-23-2011 11:50 PM

Happy, you are so right, but I NEVER said anything negative to those guys to hurt them or make them feel badly....maybe I am justifying my actions...however I would never purposely hurt someone. And yes, my words would of hurt them...but I would NEVER hurt someone on purpose. And yes, my words can hurt as badly as someone elses..

annie175 06-23-2011 11:53 PM

Thanks for putting me in my place and feeling worse than I did...I guess I derseved it....goodnite.

diyana 06-24-2011 09:43 AM

Happy Friday ladies -

TGIF! Something we can all be very happy, thrilled, and excited about!! :woohoo: Almost time for the weekend party people (whether that means the website party, the cleaning or packing party, or the CVS'ing party). Let's enjoy each day like it's a party!! :woohoo: :dancer:

DH's window is fixed, the dirt has been delivered for our landscaping projects, DH's new GPS will be delivered today. All is good here!

I can't be on here long as I have lots of website work to do, not to mention housecleaning (yes, please, let's not mention it).

Annie - I totally understand the pain and anger you feel towards David's comments. I think, especially when dating someone, there needs to be sparks on several levels (mental, emotional and of course physical). And, for you, it just wasn't there with the three guys Happy mentioned. Happy's right...it might've hurt those guys to hear how you talked about them...but they didn't hear. You were very kind and just told them you weren't interested in being more than friends or in continuing to date them. You would NEVER say anything to hurt anyone or make them feel badly about themselves. You are a kind woman and don't deserve the kind of verbal attack that David or your ex did to you.

Back when I was dating (especially through personal ads - which is how DH and I met), I had plenty of guys be not interested in me - but only a few told me it was because of my weight or how I looked. Those were the hardest to take, the rejections TO MY FACE based on my physical attributes - some that were unchangeable and some that I was working on changing.

Even DH doesn't like me to be this heavy...and he has said so many times, but I believe him when he tells me it's because he doesn't want me to die...and that he still finds me attractive, even when I don't find myself attractive.

Happy - I hope you don't stay away long. We understand you're very busy, but we do love to hear from you and want to keep up to date with all the goings on in your life.

Shad - We hope you come back too. Are you super busy or in an area with no computer service? I know all the traveling and training have got to be taking their toll on you.

Mel - Hope you are continuing to get better!

Ceejay - Are you enjoying your relaxing weekend yet?

Laura - Good for you for doing the Relay! Have a great weekend!

Website work is beckoning (or is that bellowing)!

Here's to a fabulously happy weekend for all of us! Let's make the most of these 2 or 3 days away from the grind!

Love you all,
