Got my 3 miles in at the mall, good, brisk 3 mile walk. No dvd since I had baby but won't have her tomorrow and will definitely get the walk plus a dvd.

Quick pop in. ... Dr is sending mom for a full body bone scan to look for fractures. He didn't say much...but I let them all know we need to hurry this up because she is in such pain. So...they get the body scan scheduled for Wed., which is great...and then she can't go back and see him for 2 weeks. Dumba**....what part of considerable pain do they not understand? I swear I am taking her to the ER if the pain gets worse. It is awful to watch someone you love hurting like that.

So much stress...I am with you Sassy..I want to skip Thanksgiving this year. Thank goodness it is not at my house so I can just come home quickly if need be.

Gotta figure out a new schedule for preparing my dishes to take to daughter's Thursday. I was gonna cook most of Wed. but now will be at the hospital most of Wed. I guess the test is lengthy since you do one part then leave and come back in 2 hours for the rest of it.

I am just not having a good couple weeks here...and need to stop coming here and complaining.

I should be sleeping, but cannot. Its storming here. Should lure me to sleep normally, but here I am wide awake.

Cristina -- WTG! I plan on getting back on plan after we move and settle in.

Sue -- Aw I hope they find the problem to your Mom's pain. I can understand seeing someone in pain and theres nothing you can do. That is how my mil was before we took her to the ER. But at least they knew what her problem is. I sure hope they can find your mom's and relieve all her pain! ((GENTLE HUGS)) to her. Yes I would love to just skip T'giving this year. MAYBE next year. HA. Yes like you, we aren't having it at our place, with MIL in the nursing home, we're coming to her. So hopefully it won't be long. I know that sounds just awful, but I'm sure she won't want us lingering around for hours. lol. Big Big to you!!

Getting ready to go do my slim & thin (watp) dvd. Did get in my walk this morning, another brisk walk at the mall. It gets boring walking around in circles but at least it is not freezing out and you don't have to deal with the wind!

SASSY...I always want to skip the holidays! Such a pain sometimes. I can be thankful and not cook, lol. Hope your MIL is feeling better.

SUE...lots of hugs to you and your mom. I sure hope they find out what is wrong and do something for her. No one should have to suffer any pain.

Okay, better go get something done before I get lazy and nothing gets done! I have a book to finish, thank goodness it's not a long one, start my chili and exercise of course. I tell ya, I just don't know what to do with myself when I don't have baby. Should be getting boxes and packing but I guess it can wait until after Christmas.

Cristina- Do you know where/when you are moving? I hate the idea of EVER packing again. Way to go on the exercise.

Sassy- No, I don't think you are terrible. I could zip right through to Jan. 1st and never feel guilty. Holidays just are not what they used to be. I can give Thanks and remember the birth of Jesus without observing these BIG eating days. Bah Humbug!! LOL

I got all my laundry and ironing done,..whew... Plan to clean the bathrooms and that is it for today. I have sausage and green beans in the crock pot so will make some kind of potatoes.

I guess stress has made me lose weight this week. I was down 2 pounds. Still not down to 170, but slowly creeping that way. If I would quit gaining every other week I would get there faster....duh. ANyway, I am back to the weights and upper body exercises along with the walking...see what happens.

I am still feeling gloomy, hoping things start to go RIGHT one of these days.

Hey Chicks.

Well I am officially sick. Was up all lastnight. And still am not able to sleep. Feeling awful. Was supposed to go and get my mom on Thurs or Fri but I'm thinking I may not, no need in her needing to be sick too. DH said that everybody is sick at his work.

Cristina -- Yeah that would be great to just skip the holidays, at least this year. ha ha. What book are you reading? I'm just about finished re-reading the last Harry Potter book. I was thinking about reading Eat Pray Love after this.

Sue -- Yeah I'd like to skip ahead myself! Esp skipping ahead to Jan 1st, we'd be in the new place and hopefully all or mostly all unpacked!! You are right, holidays are not what they used to be, thats for sure. Now its more about how much stuff you get or how much you spend. Just not the same.

It got down right cold and QUICK! Its down to 29 degrees here! BRRR! I think its gonna stay cold for a while, if not permanently now.

SUE...no idea, stuff may go in storage and I'll be living in my car! I am up and down...keep losing and gaining the same 1-2 pounds. Was doing good there for a while. Hoping tomorrow or rather today (it's 1:30 a.m.) goes well.

SASSY...just started reading The Stepford Wives. I read Eat, Pray, Love...wasn't thrilled with it but every one else I know that read it loved it! I will tell you why after you read it, don't want to spoil it for ya. Feel better and hope you are able to get some sleep!

Cristina -- Hmmm. Never read Stepford Wives. I watched the new movie with Nicole Kidman. My MIL said I am like the stepford wives because I like my shopping cart just so. I watched the movie (the new one at least) and I said, "No they don't put stuff in their carts neatly!! They just throw it in!!" HA HA HA! Yeah I was feeling better then I think I over did it today with moving stuff and then started to feel bad again. Blah. I'll be glad when the move is over!! lol.

Sassy--funny about the Stepford wives....

well...gasp...I didnt bake a pumpkin pie.....I did a lemon delight dessert and chocolate chip cookies...the kids ruined my relaxing prep day yesterday by causing drama and hubby is being an arse this morning complaining that he's "sick of doing for the spoiled brats who appreciate nothing"...what I spend on a less than hour of a meal we can pay for everyone to go out which I have finally agreed to do next year...if the kids want leftovers they can cook at theor own houses. I basically cooked for my brother this year. Ryan has to work at 4 and Teri and JR are going to his parents about the same time so they will all basically eat and run....
I put the turkey in almost an hour later than I wanted to but I dont care at this point!!

JULES...sounds like my house, too much drama. First with the hubby yesterday and then with the DIL and an renege on the invite. So tired of the drama with that one. They want to play games fine, play amongst each other I am done. I changed my phone number last night because I can not and will not be a part of her stupidiness anymore...it is tearing me apart they way they use the kids too. So better for me to just stay away. I've got enough stress of my own without them adding to it. Of course that means no turkey, lol. Thank goodness I bought a ham a couple of days ago. Next year I am just going to my mothers and everyone can do whatever. My oldest son and daughter are fine, they do appreciate me and everything I do but Josh has always been a little selfish and bratty and then top it off with a wife who is 10x worse, ugh! Anyway, try to enjoy and not stress...I know, easier said than done!

SASSY...I saw that movie too and thought it was cute! I am not a Stepford wife but I do like my grocery cart organized, lol. Everyone always makes fun of me for being that way and not understanding, lol. I'm not a thrower, lol...daughter says what is the point? Well, then they bag it I like to keep the refrigerated stuff together, the canned good together etc...doesn't always happen but I try. Yeah, I am anal about the cart being organized...like my towels and wash cloths in a certain order and folded a certain way. Now if only I could get back to wanting a spotless house! Anyway...try to take it easy with the moving.

SUE...thinking of you and your mom. Hoping all went well Wednesday and something can be done for you mom. Hugs

Hello to everyone else

Guess I am going to go start some cooking, don't even want to mess with it. Wish the pizza place was open, lol. Anyway, then I need to jump in the shower (putting my jammies on) and watch tv and read. I'd go to the park but it turned cold, brrrrrr.

We had our drama earlier this week. Just enough to keep me stirred up and worried. Especially happens around the holidays...so tired of it. I am thinking of running away for Christmas. Truthfully, if mom were able I would consider going away. She hates the holidays..and I am beginning to also. DH is in-different. We enjoyed being in Vegas for several of them.

Today was better...the meal was at daughter's. Her first at the farm. Lots of wonderful food and family + friends. But, honestly, I know she and her friend cooked for hours. I did the ham and dressing, so it wasn't that hard....but then everyone eats in 20-30 minutes and there is the mess to clean up. Just doesn't seem worth it. I know what I spent on my little addition, so I can imagine what they spent for 20 people. I am all for going out next year or carrying in Cracker Barrel already prepared.
It just isn't the same at Thanksgiving with two of the kids gone...and at Christmas with all of them grown and scattered. I am turning into a real Scrooge. Bah Humbug!

I am a member of the organized grocery cart club and I like to bag my own stuff...makes me crazy when someone feels they have to help...I am pretty quick cause I have organized the cart and I make it easier on myself to get it put away at home.

Sassy--I ended up getting two pairs...ones that match the pair I have down to the antiglare coating to keep at work and a similar pair in brown with out it. The coating scratches way too easy.

Cristina--I love my kids but Ryan & Tonya's irresponsibilites and Teri and JR's spoiled , selfish and competitive natures are going to be the death of me...both kids are with a matching personality not an opposite which has made things worse. Hubby's bi-polar tendencies make me a little nutty at times too..Teri is getting so much more like him it's scary.

Sue--there are several nice restaurants we can go to and we are going next year...Teri is fighting it but everyone else is ok with it. Maybe just dessert at my house afterwards. I am getting to be a scrooge myself...

Once everyone was here and eating it wasn't too bad...no fighting...Ry had a crying spell missing Grammy (he was the fave) and his friend that just died. JR and Tonya didn't do anything to make me want to smack them so all was well.. Ashton ate a few bites of mashed potatoes and slept the entire time...Teri fussed once cause hubby gave Dom a bite of chocolate chp cookie before he finished eating and a second time when he put candy in his pockets to take with him. Dom told me a did a good job and the turkey was yummy...so sweet. Missed Mom but I have that feeling pretty much every day. We talked about some memories...it was a good day, Bob even brought up some things about my Nanny that made me smile.

Jules- We always seem to have these huge sprawled out holiday dinners...so many people you can only mingle and chat. I think a small meal, with just close family at a restaurant would be so relaxing and more intimate. We just never get to have meaningful conversations about memories or plans for the future, etc. Daughter said next year maybe dinner here (or out) on Thanksgiving for family and she will have an appetizer, drinks type get together for friends on the week-end. She had several friends there yesterday, which was nice, since she hasn't had it before. And she enjoyed doing it. I think I am just "over it" from so many years of having a huge turn out at our other house..I had upwards of 40 a few times and always 30 or so.

Mom did well yesterday and stayed for about 3 hours. She was worn out though when we got home. But I know it does her good to be with everyone. I don't know what the next few weeks hold for her, always leery of what these Drs. will come up with. I can look at her bone scan cd on the computer, but have no idea what I am looking for. She goes to the cancer doc Tues. and the doc for this scan on the 6th. Until then I guess they just leave her to have pain.....grrrr. Bless her heart she just takes whatever they throw at her. I am the one who gets my hackles up.

Cristina- Hope your drama has lessened. Did DIL just cancel your plans for Thanksgiving? Out of the blue? Wow... Sorry you did not have a turkey. Ham is good. I hope things smooth over with them so you can watch your precious Lilly.

Mason was a doll yesterday all done up in his plaid pants and sweater vest. She dresses him so cute. He was the only little one there, so got plenty of attention. He is so laid back and good he doesn't even care about being the "star." Next year we will have the new baby there too. The great grand daughter (5 month old) was not there. We had several people missing this year. The new grandson-in-law did make an early call to my granddaughter, so she was happy. He is in Afghanistan.
