Very quiet round here. Been feeling a bit under the weather, was a at bonfire fire party last night, which was fun, but I ate adn drank too much. But it was Saturday night.
Today is back on plan - it has to be, if I ever want to lose some of this weight
Carol, hope you're feeling better Darn Saturday nights!
Things here are hectic, FIL is still in the hospital, my sister moved in with us last Sunday for a week (she left yesterday) as she and her man were having some serious problems. So it has not been relaxing/restful at all! Work has been busy and I'm still behind on my course. ARghh! Oh well I'm just trying to take it one day at a time and do what I can. My eating has been better this week and I did get three workouts in last week so some things are improving.
Sorry to cut this short but we're out on our way to visit my FIL. I just wanted to check in and let you know I hadn't gone away. Take care all and I'll check back in later,
Things are chugging along here. I am just sitting here waiting for the gym to open. Can you believe it? Holiday Monday and I am up at 6:00 am waiting for the gym?? DP had a very early shift this morning and we still just have one car. I just couldn't let her get on a bus at 5:00 am while I was snuggled up in bed. I am counting on this buying me big time points somewhere down the road
Eating is pretty good but I am suddenly having trouble getting in all the water. Used to have no trouble but my body seems to really be having trouble adjusting to this new size. I am hanging in tho'.
Started meal planning again to see if that would help me stay on the straight and narrow.
Pam, good job hanging in while everything around you seems to be in chaos. Sorry to hear about your sister. It can be so hard to watch sibs go through a tough time. Hope FIL is doing better.
Grandma, I am working on getting some of my glass up. That is testing the limits of my technological expertise
Hi to everyone else, I am off to the gym so I can be sure to get my channels on the television while I do the killer eliptical
Hi to all the new folks, and congrats to everyone that has been losing. I haven't made it to the store in 2 weeks, so I have been eating very off program.
Things have gotten busier at work, and I just haven't found the time. I was supposed to go tonight, but had an unexpected meeting until 9pm. And then I got home and my husband is gone - no note. I hope he is just out getting dinner...
Anyway...everyone sounds well, and I am glad to be back. I will check in tomorrow.
Just wanted to pop in and say hello! Work has been busy and there seems to be no time for much else. Oh well, that's the story of my life -- everything is feast or famine.
Still plugging along here too on the weight loss -- made a great supper last night and it was every man for themselves. Marinated chicken breasts in a ginger sesame sauce and had rice pilaf (1 gr of fat). If we don't get our servings in before Chris (17 yr old son) hits the table -- we starve. Seems no matter how much I make it's never enough. He eats a pound of pasta himself. And, not one ounce of fat on his body -- all muscle. Don't know who he takes after -- certainly not me or the Pillsbury Dough Boy (aka DH!). What he can't read, won't hurt him!
Well, time's a'racing here and that means a quick post -- hope all is well with everyone and let's keep on keeping on!
Hello everyone. Has taken me a few days to get back to it, but today has been 110% on program.
Was away in a hotel with work on Monday night and it totally threw me eating wise. I could have eaten worse, but to flip the coin I could have eaten better too. The demon drink was the problem, yet again.
I went to the store last night and got all of my food to start zoning again. It was nice and familiar. This morning I made my breakfast and gathered everything needed to bring my lunch. I am not even hungry - it is fabulous!
Going home from work soon to make dinner. Hope all is well with you...Sal - glad to hear you are having a good day, and that you got back OP so fast!
Just popping in to say hi and let you know I'm still alive and kicking. I'm feeling a bit better and doing better at being OP as of late. Weigh in last night at my meeting showed down a pound so I'm happy. My Saturday weigh in was down to 154 so I'm slowly closing in on my goal!
FIL is still in the hospital but progress is being made so we're hoping he'll get to go home next week. Sister is back with her boyfriend so the house is ours again save for the "fur" kids LOL.
Take care and I'll pop in again soon. I only have access here from work now that our computer is in the shop.
Keep up the great work everyone and lets not lose sight of our goals during the coming holiday season. That's the best gift we can give ourselves is to be Healthy.
It is pretty slow on the board, where has everyone gone. We need to keep posting to stay op, it helps so much to keep focused on our goals! I just did my weighin and posting on the Christmas challenge and was pleasantly surprised to find I lost 2 lbs this week in spite of a couple bad choices during the week. I had several pieces of peanut butter fudge, my favorite, and chocolate fudge, my next favorite. About 4 pieces all together! I was sure that would keep me from losing, but I guess my good choices must have outweighed the bad.
Pam, I am glad to hear your FIL is doing a little better. Hope he can come home soon. Congratulations on the weight loss. You are doing so good, and getting to your goal!
Congratulations Ruby, 10 lbs is awesome, you can do it. Sal, Terry and Meigg it sounds like you are really committed and op. Keep up the good work, you can do this. We all can - we can ---
Fran, if you are ready for a challenge join us on the Christmas challenge thread.
Well I got my exercise yesterday, first I walked over to my sons house, then I helped with his roofing job. He was really working hard to get finished before the rain moved in last night. We worked until 6 o'clock. It was dark and working with lights the last hour or so. My dh and I didn't get on the roof we did the measuring and marking for screws on the metal roofing. We also worked with him last Sunday when he did the other side of the roof. He got it all done except the covering along the peak. He wants to do the finishing work in the daylight. Its a good thing he did get it finished because it rained all night and it is still raining! Maybe it was because of this extra exercise that I lost weight this week in spite of the fudge!
Karie, I can't even imagine getting up at 5:00 in the morning and going to the gym. THAT IS TRULY DEDICATION AND COMMITMENT! It is no wonder that you have done so well.
Hi to anyone I missed. Good luck to everyone for an op day.
Hi Ladies Grandma G..thanks for the pep talk and congrats on the loss too i've joined your challenge and i'm hoping for a 10lbs loss for christmas five weeks to go so it's do-able..gotta run..have a great weekend
Just wanted to report that I've been for my swim. Did 26 lengths tonight, want to get back up to 40, which will mean me swimming a kilometre - is going to take a while.
Feel better for going but am dog tired now.
Off to snuggle with Ray on the couch and then to read in bed for a while.
Weighing in tomorrow - expecting to gain - not been that good over the last few days. Not bad either, just not good enough
I haven't been posting much, but I see no one has. I had a bout with my arhritis, had to take my medicine again and sure enough, put back a few pounds... not sure what it is about it.... anyway, am going to try to only take it 3 times a week, see if that will keep it under control and not interfere with my losing. I am still
convinced I can do this... saw an old acquaitance yesterday, she was severly overweight and had her stomach stapled last May. She is looking real good and has lost a lot of weight. I certainly do not want to go to the extremes, I CAN DO THIS with perservance and determination...I am hoping once I get back into the routine of going out to work at the greenhouse itself again, I have better control, until then while working at home its to easy to go to the kitchen. But until I go back in Feb. I must get myself started....find the old will power and put it to use.
DH is trying to fix my treadmill, says it needs a new belt, so I can regulate the speed. He has till wed. to fix it.. as that is when he goes in for his knee surgery. I have to go to town and see if I can find a belt.
Going to a funeral this morning, a friend age 53 died last week. He was sickly most of his life,, he was one of those who enjoyed the drugs in the 60-70's.
