Shad
Bless you and you working conditions. We have doors that open and close at work. Maybe the poultergeist is stuck in the piping?

Michelle
Glad to hear that your garage door is in working order. How long will do physical therapy? Did you get the results back from the mri?

hello to the rest.

Still no internet at work. The boss is working on it though. he said he'd like to get wireless internet, but whether it's okayed by the main boss is a different question. It's been boring to say the least at work.
The temperatures are suppose to drop to 67 degrees tonight. It was nice outside today.

GOOD MORNING CHICKS:coffee:

WHAT A STORM WE HAD DURING THE WEE HOURS. SOME FURIOUS WINDS AND LOTS OF WATER! I THINK IT MIGHT HAVE WASHED MY WINDOWS OF SOME SOOT.
JEN & RICHIE GOT INVITED TO A JETS (?) GAME IN A VIP BOX. A FRIEND IS TAKING THEM...HE GOT THE TICKETS.
THEY'RE EXCITED. I THINK SHE SAID JETS.
I HAVE BEEN CKLEARING OUT JUNK AND TOSSING STUFF BUT TAKING THIS WEEK EASY. THE BAROMETER IS KILLING MY HEAD, NECK, RIGHT SHOULDER AND SINUS.
I AM JUST FILLED WITH SINUS FLUID. YUCK.
SO I AM IN LOW GEAR. NO ONE HAS BOTHERED ME. THE ONLY THING THEY WANT THIS WEEK IS MY BODY AT THAT MEETING TOMORROW.
GOING TO LAY DOWN FOR NOW AND WATCH CARTTON NETWORK. GOTTA LOVE HUCKLEBERRY HOUND :lol3: :lol3:

ON A FUNNY NOTE...YES I AM THE POPPER OF LIGHTBULBS, LAMPS, ADDING MACHINES, TELEPHONES, VCRS ETC. IT'S BEEN A COSTLY EXPERIENCE WHEN I FORGET TO TURN ON AN APPLIANCE WITH A PLASTIC RULER. :yikes: TO SAY NOTHING OF THE SHOCK I GET AND IN THE CASE OF THE PORTABLE TELEPHONE....IN MY EAR!!!
PEOPLE REFUSE TO TOUCH ME IN THE WINTER....GO TO KISS ME AND GET ZAPPED ON WHATEVER PART OF THEIR FACE TOUCHES ME FIRST  AND YES LAURA...I DO WORRY ABOUT SITTING ON TOP OF THEM. FIRST THE DEADLY MAGNETIC FIELD MAY BE DANGEROUS TO THE BODY... THEY SAY CAN BE CANCER CAUSING AND ALSO YOU CAN'T BE OUTSIDE WHEN IT STORMS!!! SO ESPECIALLY IN THE SUMMER WITH LIGHTNING AND QUICK STORMS I DON'T WANDER TOO FAR FROM HOME ON "FREAKY" LOOKING DAYS :lol3: OK...ENUFF OF THIS SILLY NONSENSE. :moped:

HAPPY....HOPE THE SITE RUNS BETTER TODAY. HOW DID THE TILE JOB GO?? I REMEMBER YOU LOOKIONG FOR TILES AND THEN I FORGET WHAT HAPPENED AFTER THAT??? :dizzy:

MICHELLE...HOPE THE DH CAN FIX THE BENT PART. KEEPING FINGERS CROSSED :crossed: TAKE IT EASY AND SENDING HEALING THOUGHTS YOUR WAY FOR THE PT SESSION. REST UP MY FRIEND  IS THE MIL STILL THERE??

LAURA....HOPE YOUR SORE THROAT DOESN'T END UP IN A FULL BLOWN COLD. ESPECIALLY WITH THE GYM...USE HAND SANITIZER AND DON'T TOUCH YOUR FACE AT ALL TILL YOU GET TO A SINK. IT'S THE ONLY WAY I STAY HEALTHY! GET WELL SOON :getwell: THAT IS THE ONE MOVIE I WOULD LIKE TO SEE ALTHOUGH LONG. I AM A JR'S FAN...LOL HOPE IT'S GOOD. I HAVE HARD MIXED REVIEWS.

SHAD...I HOPE THE TIME FLIES BY AND YOU GET OUT OF THERE FAST. I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT THE HEAD AND HAVING TO DRIVE HOME. I KNOW THE FEELING OF "GOTTA DO WHAT YA GOTTA DO". HOW DID YOU FEEL AFTER A LIE DOWN??? WHAT IS THE REASON FOR THESE TRIANGLE/? MARK VISIONS??? AM I FORGETTING SOMETHING??

:gift: CEEJAY BETTER GET BACK HERE SOON OR SHE'LL MISS HER OWN BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION ON FRIDAY!! :hb:

OHHHHH.....THERE YOU ARE CEEJAY! THOUGHT WE LOST YOU BUT I TURNED THE PAGE AND HERE YOU ARE. WOULD BE NICE IF THE JOB GETS WIRELESS RIGHT?? WILL KEEP MY FINGERS CROSSED THAT THEY GET IT. IT WAS 64 THIS MORNING. DANG CHILLY!!!

Had a

annie175 08-25-2010 08:59 AM

Sorry the dang thing posted on it's own...Yikes,,,gnomes in the puter system.

Had a fantabulous day at King's Island. Rode roller coaster after roller coaster. SOme 2 or 3 times. Was not crowded at all, as a matter of fact, we got to stay on some rides and go again. Whew whoo...not in too much pain at all, one side back of neck is a little pain, but that is it. Must be cause I don't weigh 300 lbs this time.

CVS was uneventful last night. Way too busy. Since school started it has been nuts in there. Everyone buying school supplies...I mean WTH did you do with the ruler you had last year?

Shad....hmmmm sitting naked on the printer....that would fall under the naked category...like Happy's Naked Night Swimming...you could do Naked Printer Sitting. LOL...that cracked me up. When the loo's completely quit working it is def. time to "move" on. lol Don't have to tell me about the d*mn insurance companies, as I work for one and understand completely. Loved the history lesson about JOX.

MELLIE....now you are doing medical reports on the seniors....geez, put yet another title after your name. MELLIE..MD. and everyone knows that a JOX is an athelete...lol

CHELLE........see God opened the door to $$ from your 401K so he could send you relief for all that is happening. Don't ever feel like you are going to get ahead, cause sure enough something comes along to spend that money.

Happy...sorry you are having slow puter troubles, I have days when it is just 3FC that is running slow. Everything else goes just fine. Weird.

Laura...maybe we should send SHAD over to your house to organize BFs work bench. I am sure she can handle it.

Ceej...no internet sucks, hope it all comes back soon.

That's it for now. Gotta get this desk uncluttered.

Hello to everyone....have a wonderful Wednesday.

Love and Hugs,

MELODY525 08-25-2010 10:02 AM

ANNIE....I THOUGHT A JOX WAS A STRAP!!
GLAD YOU HAD A GOOD TIME ROLLER COASTERING YOUR VACAY!! :dizzy: I CAN IMAGINE HOW BAD CVS IS...IT WAS ALWAYS MY FAVORITE STORE FOR SHOPPING IN THE MALL FOR JEN WHEN SHE WAS YOUNGER....IT'S ONE OF MY FAV'S AT CHRISTMAS. A LOT OF OUR DECORATIONS ARE "ALL THINGS CVS" :hohoho:

MELODY525 08-25-2010 10:12 AM

:faint: OMG IT TOOK ALMOST 2 MINUTED TO POST THAT COMMENT!!!
I'VE CAUGHT THE HAPPY WEBITE BUG :(

Laura705 08-25-2010 11:04 AM

Hello all.

Shad - Wouldn't be surprised if it was the building causing the weird headache stuff. Hope nothing goofy happened today, and that there's still at least one working loo in the place.

Ceejay - I'm enjoying the cooler weather that came in last night. Hope you do too!

Mel - Wow, you really have to be careful when you're on that battery! I hope you have a nice restful day today and that the barometer quits causing problems for you.

Annie - Glad you had a good time at KI. Nice that it wasn't overrun w/ crowds. Yeh, do the kids really need all new stuff each year?? My co-worker's girl is starting kindergarten and she even had to bring supplies, but they were things like tissue - for the classroom, not her personal supplies. It's a parochial school, so mom is wondering why that isn't covered by the tuition.

I think Shad could do a wonderful job on bf's workbench. Right now it's probably at the point where bf would start buying doubles of stuff because he can't find it on the bench. I'm astounded at the amount of different fasteners - screws, nails, hooks, etc. I need to hand bf a box of zipper baggies and lock him in the basement until he gets that bench in order! :rollpin:

Hellos to Happy & Michelle.

After tolerating the vile zinc lozenges all day yesterday (okay, I only took one every 4 hours, but they leave the worst taste in my mouth :barf: ), I have no cold symptoms today. Yay!! I did exercise yesterday - 30 min. on the treadmill. I went to the fitness center around 11:30 this time and it was again quiet, although by noon, more people started coming in. Nowhere near filled or crowded though.

The movie Eat Pray Love was alright. I think this is one of the situations where if I hadn't read the book, I might have liked it more. I did like the settings in Italy and Bali though, especially Javier Bardem, lol.

Going out at lunchtime today to enjoy the nice weather. Boss gave the three of us in the dept a cuke from her garden (well, her dh's garden). I want to make some cuke salad. Tonight will be a dog walk and a BE workout.

Okay, let me get this posted and get on the phone to the new foot doc for an appt. Have a good day everyone.

diyana 08-25-2010 11:24 AM

I'm swamped at work, so this is going to be a quick post. Tree guy came out and gave a reasonable estimate. We're still waiting for a neighbor's friend to come by and give an estimate.

I'm leaving early to go see a specialist about my MRI. Tomorrow, I'm seeing the other doc. Hopefully, between them, they can come up with some good ideas for treatment. I had to postpone today's PT until Friday....just too darn busy today.

Laura - Glad the zinc did the trick.

A big  and  to all!

Love,

ceejay52 08-25-2010 12:36 PM

Internet is back up and running at work. The boss took the computer to the shop and had it fixed for a reasonable price. Is going to take my computer also.

Mel
Looking forward to my birthday celebration this week end. My aunt and uncle are taking me to Olive Garden. I've never been. and it's one of my aunt's favorite places to eat. .

Laura
I was curious about the EAT, Pray, Love movie. I've been tempted to buy the book. They have been promoting it on all the talk show's lately.

More later.

Having mechanical problems with one of the filters at work. This has put the plant behind. I'm trying to get the tanks full of water again.

annie175 08-25-2010 01:25 PM

Ceejay...YUM Olive Garden...I love love love the all you can eat soup, salad and breadsticks. Mostly eat the salad.. Of the types of soup, I like Pasta Figoli. SO tasty. Kinda tastes pizza-ey to me. My daughter always gets Chicken Fettucini Alfredo. Looks too rich and caloric for me. The Italian Margaritas are AWFUL....I took one drink and asked to have it replaced with a regular margarita.

For September's thread how about...Suffering Succatosh the Worldies are Slimming in September.

Just a thought...

Laura705 08-25-2010 04:15 PM

Michelle - Good luck w/ the doc today. Glad the tree est wasn't out of line. Sorr you're still swamped at work.

Ceejay - If you have access to a library, I'd borrow the book. I found it interesting because it was about three different experiences in three different countries. Enjoy your b-day celebration dinner this weekend. I also enjoy the soup/salad/breadstick lunch at Olive Garden, but we very rarely go there - we have a lot of good Italian restaurants in the Chicago area.

Annie - I agree, when I see those Olive Garden commercials on tv, the dishes always look very rich and sinful... September's title sounds good to me!

Shad 08-25-2010 05:58 PM

Morning all,
Short post this morning although I may get back later this afternoon. Remember I said I didn't know why they wanted me to stay on for another month, well I still don't however I have a couple of other project managers asking me for information now so I am having to get the doco done and sorted asap. And I have asked a couple of questions of my mob and they look at me blankly - what is she talking about now. Well 'scusi mio, it's in the doco, but I can't find the same screen on the system. Are we talking out of the top of our heads now?? Sometimes I think I speak a different language.

So I had better get on with re formatting the Planner/ Scheduler course and ensuring that it all works. Again. and creating some more quick reference guides - that should get the red ticks moving along on my white board.

See you soon.

diyana 08-26-2010 08:16 AM

Good Thursday morning ladies -

I'm looking forward to today as my team at work are all going to be leaving at 10:30 to go to a Brewers baseball game! Should be LOTS of fun!! I may have to leave the game a little early as I have a 4:00 appointment with Doc #2 regarding my back. I'm hoping he has better answers/options than Doc #1. Doc #1 said the best he could suggest for me is a very, very painful test to see if a couple discs are torn. If the discs are torn, he would recommend spinal fusion surgery on those discs. Doc #2 better have other options besides painful tests and surgeries, even if it means injections or whatever, because I am NOT doing back surgery.

Regardless of what Doc #2 says, I'm cutting out the comfort food. If I can lose even 25 more lbs, I may be in less pain. I will have to find ways to exercise (I'll talk to Doc #2 and PT about that). I may give water aerobics a try...hopefully the pool won't be as chlorinated as before so it doesn't shut down my asthma.

Ceejay - How nice to go to Olive Garden for your birthday! They do have yummy food there. As everyone says, their soup, salad and breadsticks are awesome. And I like most of their entrees too. We don't go there very often...but I do like it. Hope you have a fabulous birthday!!!

Annie - I know you've got a long day ahead, I hope it's a good one for you at least.

Laura - Chicagoans are fortunate to have all those yummy restaurants, especially Italian restaurants. I hate the taste of zinc lozenges...even the cherry flavored Cold-Eze ones. But they do help. Glad they helped you too.

Shad - I hope all the doco goes smoothly. Seems crazy that they still don't know the system!! :dunno:

Mel - Hope you enjoy your ride today. We're having a wonderful week of moderate temps and low humidity too! I LOVE IT!!

Happy - I hope things are going well for you. Have a great day at work! Are you still getting your nightly swims in?

Lots of love and hugs,

happy2bme 08-26-2010 08:35 AM

Morning girls -

I think the culprit for the slowness on this site is related to one specific advertisment for Soy Joy bars at Target. Pages go quick if I get other ads. Sure do wish we could pay for an ad free site again - that was nice.

Can't talk - gotta get out of here. Plant tour this morning. We will probably go to lunch afterwards so I won't be able to post until tonight.

Mel - would be great if you set up September's thread.

Ceejay - can't believe you never ate at Olive Garden. Food is good but some can be calorie bombs. You can ask for the Lite version of the salad dressing (they only have 1 flavor - Italian). It saves a bunch of calories and you can hardly tell the taste difference. Enjoy.

Michelle - hope you get a good plan of attack from the back Dr.

Hellos to the rest - forgive my running this a.m.
