Default Hello everyone!!

Remember me?

This has to be a quick post because I've a 20 day old baby being dressed by Daddy who is calling for a feed!

But I'm back too - Judy, perhaps we can motivate each other seeing we've both just come back? And Jo - congrats!!!! And I remember you saying you'd never marry again, he he. But Rich is no ordinary guy, that much has always been obvious. I'd love to hear more about Scotland too, was it amazing?

Sassy, CJ, Carolyn, everyone: hello. Do we have a few MIA at the moment? I promise to post, so your numbers are up by one!

Sylvia - hello! I'm in on the 30x3 walking sessions. I put on about 44 pounds this pregnancy (ach!) and have about 20 to go and then ten after that.

Oh and so we now have two daughters, Charlotte (18 months tomorrow!) and Josephine (3 weeks tomorrow). Fairly sure I'm done having kids now

Anyway, great to check in and see familiar faces! Love to all, I'm off to feed this hungry baby of mine

GOOD MORNING!

How the heck are all of you?
I came in here this morning to read the posts and discovered no-one, (I repeat) NO-ONE, has posted in the last FIVE DAYS!

What's going on gals? All of us are to blame! We're letting the group die out! Have we just given up on our weight loss plans? Have we gotten so depressed that we can't think of anything to say? Have we been so bad we're ashamed to admit it?

I REALLY need all of you! It may not seem so, but I consider each of you my friend. Friends stay in touch and talk to one another. CJ has gotten me to talking when I was sooo down in the dumps that I couldn't stand myself! Come on Thinsters, even if we remain Fat Chicks (for real!) for the rest of our lives, at least lets be close friends!

Start typing and put down in writing all those things you've been wanting or meaning to say to everyone!

Here's something I've been meaning to say.......Jo, it's so good to see you again! Congradulations on your engagement, hope your trip was loads of fun, and I love you too!

Sam, congradulations on the birth of your new baby. Really great to see you around here again! Stay with us, we love hearing from you!

Carolyn and Regency, you two have hung in there when the rest of us fell by the wayside. Thanks for keeping the Group alive!

Sharon, was good to see a post from you too! Has been awhile since I said anything to you but it's not because I wasn't thinking of you! You are a very important person to this Group. See if you can't spare some more time for a quick post once in a while! Love hearing all about your family and your job.

Sylvia, you have tried your best to keep us all modivated. Don't give up on all of us, we'll come back around soon (I hope!).

And, CJ, our Queen, what can I say to you, except "Thank you".
You have hung in there with me through thick and thin. Even when I didn't deserve the time of day from you, you stayed my friend. I love you!

For each and every one of us, a great BIG buttkick for letting this Group get to this level! Now get in here and post! Even if it's just a quick line to say "I'm still alive"

Hugs, Judy

Hi ladies:

I'm only stopping in for a moment here to say hello ... am not feeling very well right now and have not been on the computer much at all the last couple weeks as I injured my knee and am trying to get the swelling way down ... so keeping off it as much as possible, keeping the moist heat on it and taking my medicine.

I just want to say that I agree with Judy that we all need to post (not lurk)! It doesn't matter how big or how small the group is right now, what matters that we post - even if it is a small post like mine right now, and even if there is only 2 or 3 or 4 of us at the moment! By not posting and just lurking is what is killing our group!

I will be back to stay longer as soon as I can sit here long enough without my leg bothering me so much ...

Judy: Thank you for the kind words ... I'm touched! I'm sure that is we keep posting, the others will follow too.

COME ON GIRLS! LET'S GET THIS SHOW ON THE ROAD!

I'll be back soon. I promise!

Love you all!

Good Morning!

Just a quick note this morning to let all know that I got me a Dell, Dude!

Will be spending the next few days,(or maybe weeks) getting everything set up the way I want it.

This was the first site I put in my Favorites file. I am going to do better about coming in and posting.

I'm here, went for my first walk today - chalk me up one Sylvia! As it is already Wednesday, I'll be sure to get two more in this week. Am also going to start with some pushups and pelvic crunches (the ones I can do at the moment, not allowed to do situps until baby is 6 weeks I think?).
Anyway, come back everyone. And way to gear us up Judy!

GOOD MORNING!

It's pouring down rain this morning, but I love it! I'm still sitting in front of the computer in my pjs drinking my French Vanilla coffee. Yum Yum

Still working on my new computer. Some of the programs are not compatible with the new Windows XP. I had to call Polaroid to get special configurations to be able to use my digital camera. He said on some computers it would work and on some it wouldn't. I happened to get lucky on mine, it works!

My DietPower program that I purchased was able to be transfered to the new one too, and some of the games that I play all the time. Strangest thing though...some of the people in my mailbox can't receive mail from me? The mail is returned saying MAILBOX NOT FOUND. I know they're still there, it worked before, why not now??????

Got a letter from Sandi this morning. They are leaving Sunday for their new home in Nevada. She wanted to tell everyone hello and said maybe someday she will drop in on us again. Sandi, if you are reading this......We love you and miss having you with us. Please come back, even if it's just to say hello once in a while!
Be sure to send a new e-mail address if you change in your new location!

I made a vow to myself to clean out the refrigerator today. I shouldn't have done that...it's a job i really hate to do! No room left to put anything in until I take out all the little scraps of leftovers that I've been saving for so long! What is all that green stuff????????

Hugs, Judy

Hi There!
I'm new to the group, but I hope to make some new friends quickly. five weeks ago I set a goal to lose 50lbs. The plan is to jog/walk 5 times a week and keep calories <1000 a day. I know you shouldn't rush weight loss, but I really wanted a jump start to get me motivated. Well, it's working! So far I have lost 11lbs and 7 1/2 inches.
I like the tone of this group and look forward to getting and giving encouragement as I work toward my goal.

Kriss

Default WELCOME!

Hey there LadyRider/Kriss,

Welcome Welcome Welcome to our wonderful group. You will love it here and get plenty of support, encouragement and motivation. Congratulations of your 11 pound weight loss so far. That is really great and gosh 7 1/2 inches too. I'll bet all your clothes are getting so loose on your. Just think, you will have to buy all new clothes by the time you are done. Ah gee isn't that too bad? I could live with doing that. LOL

Actally you talked about losing weight quickly, but that is about 2 lbs a week and that is a good and healthy weight loss for you. Good for you with your exercise plan as well. I think you will be great for this group, we can all use some of your energy too. Let us all know about yourself, we would love to get to know you better.

This is a really great group of ladies and I am so happy you joined up with us. Post often and I can't wait to go along on your journey to lose your weight. You will do this, one day and one meal at a time.

Take care and again welcome.

Sassy Sharon

GOOD MORNING!

Welcome to Kriss!!!!! Come on in and make yourself at home!
What part of Florida are you in? My oldest daughter just moved there to start a new life after a miserable divorce. She loves it there.

If you've been reading our posts, you know by now that some of our group (me included), have been slacking off in the past few months. Some new blood and fresh modivation may be just what we all need to get us started again.

It's pretty easy to make friends here. Most of us have been around for awhile and really care about each other. We share our day to day lives and all the woes that seem to plague the female gender...spouse, inlaws, children, jobs, and worst of all HOT FLASHES!!! In my case I don't have hot flashes...I have power surges!!!!

Tell us all about yourself so we can get to know you better. If we can help you on the way to weight loss we'll be helping ourselves too. Welcome again, hope to be hearing a lot from you in the future.

Hugs, Judy

Well it's Monday morning and here I am talking to myself. Sure do miss all of you.

I am going to start journaling all my food again. It really seems to help me when I can see all that I have eaten. Some times I'm shocked at all I have put away in a day's time.

When I read other people's journals I can't believe that they can only eat such a small amount. I think I would starve on less than 1200 calories a day!

Jo, where the heck are you? If I can post a little every-once-in-a-while so can you! Get in here lady, I need to hear from you!

Hugs, Judy

Hello Ladies!

Just popping in for a quick hello. I havent' been close to a computer (still tiling my MIL bathroom) long enough to post. The bathroom is looking nice by the way.

I know some of us(myself included) are going through a bit of a funk..... we'll all snap out of it ....we are all human and it happens to all of us. The beauty of this group is that we are always here for one another....good, bad, happy and sad. We've been through it all and we always come here for support. That is a beautiful thing.

I saw this and thought you all would enjoy it.

I've got to run, I have to shop for an interview outfit. I'm going for a Christmas job interview with Tiffany & Company and need something to wear.

Much love to all!
Sylvia

A Recipe for Hapiness

Take twelve whole months.

Clean them thoroughly of all bitterness, hate, and jealousy.

Make them just as fresh and clean as possible.

Now cut each month into twenty-eight, thirty or thirty-one different parts, but don't make the whole batch at once.

Prepare it one day at a time out of these ingredients.

Mix well into each day one part of faith, one part of patience, one part of courage, and one part of work.

Add to each day one part of hope, faithfulness, generosity, and
meditation, and one good deed.

Season the whole with a dash of good spirits, a sprinkle of fun, a pinch of play, and a cupful of good humor.

Pour all of this into a vessel of love.

Cook thoroughly over radiant joy, garnish with a smile, and serve with quietness, unselfishness, and cheerfulness.

You're bound to have a Happy New Year!

What the heck is the use of coming in here every morning? If no-one else is going to post, why waste my time doing it? I'm outta here!

Just in for a quick hello ... Sorry Judy ... not intentionally staying away .. I have been so sick this week with the most awful HEAD COLD!!! I have not had one of these in ages .. achy, sneezy, feverish, burning eyes, stuffy, miserable!!!!! I'm on my way to bed now but just had to post something.

Welcome Lady Rider to our group! We are usually a bit more "talkative" than this, it seems we are all either in slumps lately, or busy, or ill (in my case) but I hope you will stick around cuz this really is a great bunch of gals.

Sharon: We will be up here at the cabin until the end of November then will be home for a few months! Hope we can meet up sometime soon. Well, at least we will talk on the phone soon, eh?

Judy: I cleaned out my refrigerator here at the cabin the other day and I found some of those "green things" too! Imagine that! Don't give up on all of us .. we'll all get bacl in the groove of posting regularly again. Good job on journaling again .. that's the secret! I haven't been but will start again as soon as I get rid of this head cold ... or maybe I'll just start tomorrow!

Slyvia: Good luck on your job interview!

Ok ... if I had some Nyquil it would knock me out! Can't take that stuff ... I have a really nasty effect from it .. So I'll just take my decongestents and say nighty-nite!

Until later...
Love, CJ
