Laura - We got lots of rain, but our grass isn't long enough to mow yet. Are you expecting snow down your way? Great job on the pushups! That's awesome! I didn't watch Monday's DWTS, but from the "highlights" of Kate's dance, she still looks like a deer in the headlights. I was bummed to see Buzz go before Kate.

Happy - What's going on my friend? I hope you're doing okay. Sending you lots of big  and  and :goodvibes: Luvya, my sista.

diyana 04-07-2010 02:25 PM

Ceejay - I'm taking tonight off from exercising but doing some serious cleaning. I'm also missing exercise on Saturday this week because we're going to Chicago. Sunday will probably be spent doing more cleaning and some Wii Fit.

annie175 04-07-2010 03:48 PM

Zoloft makes me wicked. Changing to Celexa. We will see...

diyana 04-07-2010 04:04 PM

Hi Annie - I take Citalopram (generic Celexa) and I like it. I can get a 3 month supply at WalMart for only $10 (without insurance).

Shad 04-07-2010 05:04 PM

Morning all,
Seems in my 'enthusiasm' for cleaning yesterday, I forgot to post. Hoo boy.

Ayway, 5 rooms down and only 4 to go and two of them are fairly small. I've chucked a bit and boxed up a bit and got rid of the fluff that Sunday insists on leaving on all possible surfaces.

Today I will hit the 2nd bedroom and then put away a few bits that seem to have accummulated overnight and back up my computer. Way past time for that back up.

Happy - hope that you are okay - I'm presuming the crap is at work again. We'll wait for the revelations.

Annie - hope you get something that will suit and soon. A wicked Annie at e-CVS could be a memorable thing.

Ceejay - hope you are enjoying the cool air and nothing like having a bit of a bathroom reno to make things look and feel better.

Laura - Well done you for the exercise and organising. Full pushups (never call them mens pushups - because we can do whatever they can do and probably better) It will show dividends in a month or so. Just a shame it takes so little to undo the good we do with exercise.

Time to get on with the day before it gets hot again.

annie175 04-07-2010 10:27 PM

Shaddie...I must say you sure do accomplish a lot when you are home. One amazing woman you are....and yes I was wicked Annie at eCVS tonight. Was even wicked to poor Lilly that I work with, was ordering her around like I was somebody, and telling her to get it done and quit dilly dallying. She said she hoped my new med kicked in soon.....I laughed my arse off.

Chelle...thanks for the tip on the generic at Walmart. I actually got the generic at CVS for a one month supply, with insurance mind you, for 8 bucks. Guess I was ripped off.

Best get to bed or I will never get up tomorrow. I have my yearly bariatric check up in the morning. It won't be pretty. I am half not wanting to go but know I need to, so I will and take my lumps.

Chat at you all in the AM.

Love and Hugs.

Happy Thursday ladies -

I woke up to about an inch of snow on the lawn and the cars. But at least the roads were fine for the drive into work. I ended up getting the living room cleaned last night and also took several trips down to the basement. So 1 room down, 8 to go. I spent 45 minutes hauling stuff down to the basement, doing laundry and going up and down the basement stairs, so I figured I earned a pass for missing the Step class last night since I was doing it at home. Tonight is 1/2 hour of strength training, 1/2 hour of Zumba, followed by meeting with my coach/trainer.

Shad - Sounds like you're in the home stretch in terms of cleaning. I should hire you, Laura, and Ceejay to come help me! Heck, all the Worldlies can come! I can't promise warm weather (she says with snow on the ground and more falling), but I can promise a lot of laughs!

Laura - I am so impressed by your success with the full pushups. I should try those. I can do planks, but it's the going back down and then back up I'm not so sure about.

Annie - I hope Celexa helps you better than Zoloft so you're not wicked anymore....except maybe wicked funny or wicked adorable. I lived in Massachusetts for awhile as a child and there "wicked" is used to mean "extremely". I don't know if WalMart's prices on generics are the same nationwide, but I think they are. I get a few generic meds at WalMart, and I never told them I have insurance....$4 for one month; $10 for 3 months. Hope your bariatric checkup goes well.

A big Good Morning  to all! :coffdate:

Love and hugs,

annie175 04-08-2010 09:08 AM

Heading to doc appt. I love that wickedly adorable...hmmmmmmm

ceejay52 04-08-2010 10:44 AM

Annie
Things will be better than you think. Hang in there.

Michelle
The stairs are good exercise. Good job on all that cleaning in one night.

We had some thunder boomers last night at the change of shift at work. They were suppose to get here around noon yesterday. I stayed until most of the lightening was over with and glad I did because I had to reset the lab equipment and computer. The power blinked.

annie175 04-08-2010 11:24 AM

Yo Ceejay...we had awful thunder boomers and tornado warnings last night also. Supposed to clear up. It is gray, cloudy, windy, and a bit chilly out there. 45 degrees. Buuurrrrrr.

Chelle...just keep that stinkin' snow up there, we do not want ANY of it. I hate snow, but I think I have mentioned it before when posting. lol.

So at the bariatric doc....weight was not too awful bad, only up 6 lbs since last year's check up. She said my numbers were still good but getting a grip now would definitely be a good idea. Well duh. I just need to move more and eat less. Well duh again. It is not that I don't know what to do, it is getting a grip on doing it. H*ll we all know what we are supposed to do. She did give me a list of foods to COMPLETELY AVOID for maximizing weight loss...here it is:

Peanut butter
nuts
bacon in any form
sausage in any form
hot dogs in any form
bratwurts
bologna
braunschwiger
salami
potted meat
spam in any form
beef jerky
breaded and fried foods
fast food
pork rinds
movie popcorn
potato chips in any form
snack crackers
regular pop
alcohol<------OMG NO
Starbucks
Candy including sugar free
desserts including sugar free
ice cream in any form
alfredo sauce
cheese sauce
gravy

Looks like straight meat, veggies and fruit....hmmmm, we all know that too!

Anyway hey to everyone.

Love and hugs.

Laura705 04-08-2010 11:36 AM

Ceejay - Good thing you were around to reset the computers! We had heavy storms Monday night and more than the storm itself, both doggy and I were startled by the obnoxious (and LOUD) sounds the tv makes when it's making it's storm warning announcements. But I was a bit nervous that a branch might fall onto our skylight and break it.

Annie - Hope the doc appt goes well you wicked woman.

Michelle - Sounds like you got plenty of stair stepping going up and down to/from the basement. Ugh, snow. We didn't get any snow here (unless it was in the wee hours and melted immediately), but it's very chilly this morning. Another walking day - I skipped the bike because I sure didn't want the wind coming at me any faster than it already was. Have a good workout tonight.

Shad - You're just a spring cleaning maniac! Bf's mother is coming to dinner on Sunday, so we'll be cleaning this weekend. Actually, bf did some yesterday and will be cleaning today since he's going to visit a friend's lake house on Friday/Saturday. You are right, they are full pushups, and I sometimes see them called military pushups. Not limited to men only!

Happy - Hope your week is getting better.

Mel - Hope you're not working too hard, and that you're getting plenty of rest between census training sessions.

Nothing special to report. Bf's mother gave us a ham last week, and since we didn't get together for Easter dinner, we're having the ham this Sunday with her. As I mentioned to Shad, that means we'll be cleaning. Nothing like having company to motivate! I didn't exercise last night, except to do a couple small sets of those full pushups. Tonight I'll get down in the basement and do a load of laundry and at least one BE workout.

Okay, back to it!

Laura705 04-08-2010 11:39 AM

Annie - you snuck in. Glad you mentioned what was left to eat after that list because I was wondering. :yikes:

diyana 04-08-2010 11:51 AM

Annie - Thanks for the list. I was told peanut butter and nuts contained healthy fats and were good in moderation...that's the key isn't it. And I love bratwurst...so I'll have to splurge and have a few of those over the course of the summer. Give up candy, ice cream, desserts, and alcohol! NOOOOOO! Not sure I could stick to a diet this strict for very long...but I hope the list helps you get back on track.

Shad - Just posted on your FB page. I thought of you last night as Destination Truth (a show on the SyFy channel here) was on location in New Zealand. Really beautiful country!

diyana 04-08-2010 11:54 AM

Ceejay - Bummer that you had to wait until after the lightning stopped...but good that you were there to reset stuff after the power blinked.

Laura - Having company definitely motivates me to clean. My DMIL will be here in about a month. 2 sets of pushups? Wow! You're really progressing!

diyana 04-08-2010 02:06 PM

Woooo Hooooo! :woohoo: I am REALLY dancing now! :dancer: I just had my Weight Watchers weigh in and I lost 3.4 lbs this week! And my leader said I'm just 0.6 away from my 10% award!! :woohoo: I have waited so long to get my 10% award and to think I may get there next week! OMG! :faint:
