One good bit of news tho.......I'm gonna be a grandma again! My DIL was told she probably wouldn't ever be able to have children, then along came Kaitlyn. Then the doctors told her that there probably would never be another one and not to get her hopes up too high......ooops! My son is in the Chicago area for some Navy schooling, then they will be stationed overseas for several years. My two grandaughters and the baby on the way will be so far away I will never get to see them.

Judy that is great news - about you becoming a grandma again! But cheer up sweetie ... I know it is hard when the ones you love live so far away ... 5 out of my 9 grandchildren live out of state and I don't get to see them that often (2 of them I have not even seen in person yet) ... but, I get lots of pics, and there is the phone and videos, and computers! You could both get a video cam for the computer and talk back and forth that way ... I know it is not the same as in person, but better than nothing. Cheer up and post Judy ... we love ya!
Besides, I need all the help I can get to get everyone back her in the group! Where has everyone gone? Honestly, I used my deordorant!

Well, I'm supposed to see my dietitian on Friday ....almost don't want to go. I don't think I've done well at all. I'm trying but somehow it just isn't working for me this week. I've got to face the music. I know he's going to yell at me for not keeping a journal. I just don't feel motivated for some reason. Hmmmm, I just need to get out of this funk and I'll be back to normal (if that's possible)

I got an email from Sharon and they are going to Michigan again Friday to clean out her dad's house to put it up for sale. She says she has been meaning to post but she is still going a million miles an hour but will be back posting in a couple of weeks. I'm going to keep her at her word! She mentioned that Chrissy and the girls are going to New York this weekend for the All My Children Soapfest ... sounds like fun.
We are of course still at our cabin ... rainy day today so we are going to Traverse City to get a load of cherry pits for our pellet furnace (stock up for the winter) and then to see our daughter at the restaurant where she works .. and then ... and then ... off to the casino for a bit of gambling! I've been pretty lucky the last couple times we went .. hope 3 times is the charm! lol
Been doing a lot of my xmas shopping online and am almost done! Gonna have my daughter and her family from Kansas with us this year so I am so happy about that! Hubby does not know this tho, we are attempting to pull a surprise on him! It's hard tho, almost gave it away a couple times. Ooops ...

I really don't have anything new to report...I'm really dreading my dietitian appoinment tomorrow ... I haven't been journaling (one of the things I'm supposed to do) or exercising but have been very careful of what I eat. I hope he's not going to be very mad at me!!!!

We are pretty short on cash this year (I'm still unemployed and my benefits run out in December) so I'm making the X-mas gifts( body scrubs for my Mom and sisters) this year. Pretty scary, I swore I would never turn into Martha Stewart and look at me now!

Ya know, I come in here every day just to keep up with what's going on with the Thin Group. It's kinda sad that hardly anyone's ever around.
Briefly, Scotland was WONDERFUL!!!! I cried when I had to come home. Not enough good words in the dictionary to describe it!!
I'm still going to the gym faithfully. Last night, my trainer (I'm also in a 10 week weight loss "learn how to eat right" kind of program) showed me some new machines. Today I am sooooo sore!!!! But it's a good sore.
Not much else.....
Oh yeah. I'm also engaged. Did I mention? Rich bought me a ring that I saw in a store in Edinburgh and fell madly in love with. Told me I "had to" wear it on the ring finger of my left hand. My friends from over there and the store clerk and other customers will still be talking about the scene we made for the rest of their lives. It's blue-green topaz and baby diamonds. No date set for the event (I'm kinda "gun-shy") but you never know....
With that, I'll go now. I hope to hear from more of you guys soon ... and more often!!

I emailed Peggy (Sweet tooth) and I received an answer from her today ... thought I would share it with you:
Everything is fine...just really, really busy at work. We opened a new bulding on campus in August and things have not gone well at all. The contractor is waaaay behind (still not finished but classes are running) and the project is waaaay over budget.
I have been working 15 - 20 hours a day for the past 2 months, so have just been trying to get enough sleep in to keep going. However, last week, I got to some clean-up work on my desk and hope that I can see clear to get home at decent hours soon so that I can get back with the group.
Thanks for the e-mail, CJ. I miss everyone and have been thinking of you all. Say Hi! to everyone and I hope to be back there in a couple of weeks. Take care.

Hello Ladies (the 3 or 4 who are posting) I've had a very bad week also. Started out with my mother in the hospital. She is back home now and I'm checking on her daily. She is my rock here on earth. I can't say more or I will cry.
Did not get to WW last week hope to go tomorrow night. Results will not be great but I'm not giving up yet. I don't know where everyone is but CJ you're right, it's quiet in here.
Jo I know your trip was wonderful but your ring Girl that's fantastic!!! I wish you the very best. I know you've spent some time getting to know Rich and that is very important. Give us details soon.
When this week is over we start Fall Break and it is 2 weeks long. I can't wait. I have no plans so maybe I will go to the Health Park. I can't come up with a reason not to. I still believe in miracles.

CH: Sorry to hear about your mom but do hope she is alright now. My mom has been gone now for 11 years and I still miss her terribly - she was my rock too ...
