Good evening nurses and nursing students. I realized today (at work, ED, telling a patient to follow up with pcp on 9/11 that I've been doing this nursing thing for 8 years and I still love it.....Granted today I feel just tired...I'm lunching right now....actually,no patients in the ED so I'm taking a break away. Working nights really messes me up with food. Working 12 hours doesn't really bother me. I usually plan ahead and pack a lunch bag for the day....

And are you sure being on our feet 10 hours out of 12 hours isn't considered exercise. My first 78 pounds lost, I didn't exercise, just worked....

Im giving you permission to call it exercise!!!Lifting and transferring patients...running to the pharmacy for stat meds...sprinting to a code....bending to empty catheter bags(squats, right?),taking care of patients on each end of the hall, holding down a combative patient.....Oh I could write a book after 15 years in this profession...

Hello everyone! Kids went back to school today,(forgot to feed my DD before school) and I went to the gym finally since June, but I agree with harrismm b/c we do a work out for sure.
Harrismm, could you please include in this book how to hold it all together with diet and weight loss, kids activites, etc, etc, b/c it looks like you are having success in your weight loss journey.
Don't work until Thursday but busy, busy at home.
Have a great day all!

Good afternoon ladies...it seems we have not been keeping up (I mean I haven't been keeping this blog going.) So, tomorrow is my weigh in day, Friday...a little anxious and can't wait to weigh in. I had three days off in a row...very nice...I work at my regular job Friday and Saturday, then Sunday and Monday (new job, per diem). I'm packing the same lunch as I usually do, just a little nervous because I don't have my routine at the new hospital.....(I have to clarify, it's not just my lunch, it's my all day food. Good luck everybody.
