Good morning gals! Rough day and all night last night. I was cramping a lot and nothing helped. I came downstairs about 2 and took Advil and put a heating pad on my back and one on my front and the pain finally went away. This will be a discussion I will have with my doctor for sure to find out why I am still having all of this and I am almost 56. Want to make sure nothing is amiss so to speak.

Susan: We can't wait to go to the movie, but have to go towards the end of the week. I already bought our tickets for a 11:15 pm show on Friday night. We will still have to be there 90 minutes early to get in line, but you do what you have to do! They sold tickets to the midnight Wed show a couple weeks ago so you couldn't go to that one if you wanted to. I posted the fudgesicle ice cream recipe on our recipe thread. They said the white chocolate pudding is a huge hit. yum! Fortune gets a treat everytime he goes out to go to the bathroom. We started it to train him, but it has become a "anytime I go I get a treat" so now if he goes on the puppy pads, he goes to the door to be let out, goes out and wants right back in then goes to the closet where we have the treats and sits and waits for us to get him one. It is pretty funny actually and you can tell when he has gone on puppy pads because he comes racing into the living room like his tail is on fire.

Jean: Thomas is all that and a mile more. As smart as he is, he could be an obnoxious little thing, but they have brought him up well and he is sweet and smart and funny and delightful. I would even like him if he were someone elses grandson! Though, I think I am glad he is mine!

The ice cream turned out grand and I put aside a container to take to Thomas on Monday. We had a treat after dinner last night, but this stuff is 6 pt per 1/2 c serving so it sure isn't something we would eat very often. I am going to get some puddings at the commissary tomorrow and try a couple different types. As it is only 1 pt a serving it will be fun to have a bunch different kinds of ice cream that aren't
fattening to have. I mean, any of the WW or Skinny Cow's are at least 2 pt apiece.

Well, I have done nothing, the laundry has stopped so it needs to go into the dryer.

Hope you all have a grand weekend. As I said, shopping is in ours!

Good Morning, Flowers! The thunderstorms and rain moved through early this morning and the blue sky is slowly moving in from the west. It's supposed to be hot and humid today. I can start working on cleaning, sorting, and pitching half of my kitchen cupboards and drawers that were finished yesterday. I hope they don't make much dust when they come back to finish the other side. Most of the sawing was done out on the deck so that helped a lot.

Susan -- Are your swollen feet connected to the COPD? I can tell when I've eaten too much salt because my shoes feel tight. I think you are smart to pursue seeing a specialist. Ernie's treats have been "Greenies" that I buy at Walgreen's. I stopped yesterday and they no longer carry them! I get so tired of that and it seems to be happening in all of our local stores. I bought another kind so hope he likes them. He eats Science Diet dry food and gets about 1/3 of a can of Fancy Feast wet food for breakfast every morning. He knows which cupboard has what in it! You have probably said, but do you do breathing treatments at home? You mentioned the respiratory tech for this afternoon and that made me think of it. MIL had to do those after she was in the hospital the first time.

"Gma" -- I don't think I could stay awake to go to a late movie! Our last movie starts around 9 pm; we usually go to the early show at 7. Thank you for finding the recipe thread as I was looking for it and didn't see it. I had a recipe from a WW leader's newsletter to post. I haven't tried it but it sounded good. We have a very obnoxious boy that goes to our church. His parents are both professors and he appears to be very articulate and smart beyond his age. When they do the children's sermon he is always the one waving his hand and blurting out answers w/o giving the other kids a chance. He wears his hair quite long and could be mistaken for a girl -- he has a little sister so I don't know why they don't cut his hair! Let us know how the ice cream recipes turn out. Do you cook your mixture?

I need to get busy and start on my cupboards and drawers. Have a great day and enjoy the weekend!

Jean -- from Iowa!

Talking Finally Friday

GOOD MORNING MAGNOLIAS
Another humid day in the heartland. We had another thunder and lightening and rain event last night. Not much else doing around here. Will is out mowing the lawn ~ on the riding mower of course. His little tractor.

DONNA FAYE Aren't dogs a hoot. I can just see Fortune doing that. Ragg Mopp "deserves" a treat every time he comes back in. When Will and I are both in the front room and Ragg Mopp needs to go outside he goes to the front door. We NEVER let him out there but he is just telling us he needs to go outside so we let him out the back door. You see we can't see him standing at the back door if he just went there to be let out. My ice cream freezer insert lives in the freezer. Gets put in there after it is cleaned after a use that way it is always ready. That recipe you posted sounds like one I will be trying very soon.

JEAN Looks like we are on the same thunder path as you are. I think sawing should always be done outside. Gracious that sure can get everywhere when it is done inside. Good thing they are using your deck. The recipe you posted looks yummy.

SUSAN Howdy to you and hope you are well this day.

GAIL I miss you. Hope all is going well with you and yours.

Well ladies time for me to get to making some lunch then I will be finishing up a couple of glass boxes. Have a lovely afternoon. Type at y'all later

Good evening, ladies. A cool day in the low 70s. I love it.

Quilt Guild this morning - Christmas in July was the program (quick gifts to make). Lots of fun. I couldn't go to lunch today because the respiratory therapist was coming and she did get her promptly at 1:00. The test is simple and I'm going to drop the machine off on Monday on my way to work. I guess it won't be long to get the results.

After she left, I went and did my grocery shopping for the week. So it looks like tomorrow I can stay home and do some more cleaning.

Faye, sorry you had a bad night. Menopause is hard, I don't care what anyone says. I have my ice cream freezer thing in the freezer and tomorrow I'm making pistachio pudding instead of the chocolate in your recipe. That sure is easy!

Jean, the swelling in my legs and feet is from the COPD because it has caused right ventricular heart failure. I tell you, since February its all been downhill for my breathing.

Maggie, thanks for all the recipes. I'm having the lemon couscous on Sunday with a nice piece of salmon.

Have a good evening!
