Sorry I was away, it was a busy weekend doing website work Friday night, all day Saturday and yesterday morning...then there was grocery shopping and the usual b.s. to do. Still and all it was a great weekend and we had GORGEOUS weather!

I did manage to stick to both of my challenges both days of the weekend! A rarity for me.

Journal and Stay within points - 2 pauses left - Day 19 completed.
Gym or walk at least 25 minutes - 1 pauses left - Day 19 completed.

Red - You rock, sista! Look at you go!

I'm baaaack!
I've had a busy summer, but things are winding down. School starts for the kids next week!!! I think I can focus now on watching what I'm eating and just trying to be healthy. And my first challenge, NO BEER.
And I'm going to copy Reds good foods challenge. So here we go. Again.
No Beer, 2 pauses, day 0
Good foods, 2 pauses, Day 0

Hi Apple - Welcome back. Oh my gosh! I don't even want to think about school starting up. School means autumn, autumn means winter is around the corner. Yuck! Good luck on your challenges!!

I'm back too

Challenges are as follows:
1300 daily calorie limit - 3 pauses
Exercise - 30 per day - 3 pauses
Water - 1 litre of the pure stuff per day - 3 pauses.

I'm off to exercise in a couple of minutes. Jog along the bush track down the hill sounds okay.

Keep your chin up everyone.

Smile rockin'!!

I got another day in on most but had some sweets so that knocked another pause off two of the challenges by default -- good foods and no sugar.
Being able to work my body and get rest as I need it (more or less..still can't sleep for the itching) is just wonderful. Of course, getting to the gym is still a bit difficult but I did it, after riding and then took my bike there. Once I get into it I find it hard to stop. I felt STRONG. Just hope I can stick to it long enough to burn the fat off.
The scale has shown a bit of a downward move and then jumped back up again. But with the working out, I expect the soreness to translate to water retention. I feel better all over though and my gut (yes, it reappeared for some reason ) is growing smaller. I sure wish I was around more people who appreciated a strong woman. Ah well, the guys in the gym, whether they appreciate it or not, see me as a kindred spirit, and that is nice. There were a couple of Japanese female builders there too yesterday so I don't feel so alone. Not that I am anywhere near builder status but I do have muscle.
Anyhow, I also have tons of fat and just wish I could get to the point where I find it hard to grab onto anything around the midsection and where I can come to the point I actually call it a "waist."

Good foods challenge -- Day 6 completed 2 pauses taken
No sugar! -- Day 6 completed 2 pauses taken
No alcohol -- Day 15 completed 1 pause taken
No smoking -- Day 15 completed 2 pauses taken
Journal -- Day 17 completed
Caffeine Cut (Round 3!) -- Day 3 completed 0 pauses taken

**************

diyana -- The weather sounds beautiful. You're almost finished with your challenges. Wow!

Shad -- Welcome back, Shad! That "pure stuff" you mention, I take it doesn't have a proof number attached, right?

Apple -- And Apple, welcome back you!! Where have you been?!? I'm basically off booze. I had some major victories when it comes to NOT drinking at parties and now I'm actually looking forward to the challenge and experience of being 100 percent sober in situations I've never been such. The best part is knowing I can be somewhere the next day as planned and not just thinking I will be able to until the next morning..... Best of luck.

I am determined to lose those 2 lbs I gained last week (and hopefully more). I did really well over the weekend and have used very few of my extra weekly allowance of points. Today and tomorrow, I'm going to limit the sodium intake too. Yesterday, I went for a walk at lunch, and went to the gym after work for another 30 minutes of cardio. I plan to go tonight as well. I'm so glad my work hours are now 6:30 to 3:30. Sure, it's difficult to get up at 4:30 or so, but getting home by 4 and having time to go to the gym and get other stuff done makes it all worth it!

Journal and Stay within points - 2 pauses left - Day 20 completed.
Gym or walk at least 25 minutes - 1 pauses left - Day 20 completed.

I know I'm coming close to the end of my challenges. Not sure what I'll add for the next round, but I'm pretty sure I'll keep these two for another round as they seem to be key to me staying OP and losing weight.

*********************
Red - That's too bad that you're still having trouble sleeping. Sorry if you've said this before, but what's your itching from? A rash? Have you tried hydrocortisone cream? Is it dry skin? Mine is very dry right now, but some lotions over here (Gold Bond, Sarna and others) are made specifically for itchy, dry skin. Good for you for getting to the gym! Isn't that strong feeling wonderful? You ARE rockin'! And we'll find our waists too! Don't you worry. Our muscle burns more calories, even while resting, so the more we exercise, the better! When my trainer told me that by building a little muscle, I can burn more calories sleeping, I was ALL for that! Anyway, our waists can't hide forever! We can make this our quest....to find our waists! I'm always up for a good quest!

Miriam - So sorry to hear about your kids being sick. Take good care of yourself as you take care of them.

Sara - Congrats on successfully completing two of your challenges! That's awesome!

Shad - Hope you had a nice jog along the bush track!

No Beer, 2 pauses, day 1
Good foods, 2 pauses, Day 0
I didn't have a good lunch, we ate out. Healthy, but probably a lot of calories. So today will hopefully be a successful day one!
I need to add an exercise challenge, and I think it will simply be to walk a dog everyday. They will appreciate that. I can't really hope to get a regular exercise plan going until school starts.
Red, I'm sure you can stick to the gym! It sounds like an interesting place. My gym is mostly older people. Sometimes I'm the youngest in there, and I'm no spring chicken!
Miriam, I hope your flu's are mild! The panic here has subsided quite a bit, but the flu is still bringing a lot of illness.
Sara, congrats on completing your challenges!!:cheer 2:
Looks like you are doing great!!
Diyana, I'm sure your extra 2 will come off easy & quick. Looks like you are doing the right thing to get it done.
Come on Shad! I hope you enjoyed your jog.
