Good evening, ladies! Cold today!

I never got here yesterday. I had quilt guild and my friend asked me about some computer problems she was having and I told her I could probably fix it so I went to her house after guild - which is an hour away, fixed it then chatted for a couple of hours and an hour drive home. I was tired when I got home.

Had WI today and down 1.6. Hopefully it will go down a little more next week. Our meeting moved to a new part of the shopping center and the room is much nicer. We're still having 60-75 people coming which is great since before Christmas it was like 20-25. Went to Curves and worked out.

Faye, did you talk to the insurance company or the glass company? Most glass companies replace the windshield without having to pay anything - I've had 2. Maybe it's just a VA thing. They come to my house or office and do it.

Maggie, I'm taking your red envelope email to church tomorrow to post and I'll give a copy to the Justice committee for distribution.

Jean, Hope you've had a good day!

Good Evening and Happy (end of) Valentine's Day, Flowers! I sat down in front of the TV after cleaning up the kitchen and promptly fell asleep. Everyone stayed long enough to order pizza for supper. The kids had a wonderful time playing together and the adults got to visit since we haven't been together since Christmas. MIL just sits and watches the action; she likes to reminisce about when Bob was born and his dad was overseas during the war. *sigh*

Maggie -- Good luck with your dog sitting! Our neighbors (the nice ones) next door has a son and family who comes to visit with their cute little dog. They have the electric fence at home and when they first put it in had flags around the yard showing where it was located. They brought the flags along and lined the yard thinking the dog would be fooled. It didn't take the dog long to figure out it was a fake and he was over peeking in our back door! We had "Mom" at the time and she didn't take kindly to a dog on her deck! What did you end up making for the pot luck? Have fun!

"Gma" -- That is too bad about your windshield! I would too! I do know that rock chips can be fixed if you have it done right away, and supposedly you can't tell. It is still annoying. I'm glad you enjoyed your dinner with Thomas and family.

Susan -- CONGRATULATIONS on losing again this week! Do you have more than one person weighing at your WW meeting? We used to have 2 when it was free registration and the numbers were up -- usually around 30 - 40. Lately there has been only the leader weighing and with so many people, she then is late starting the meeting. I want to get in and out so go late thinking I will weigh in right before the meeting starts and then have to stand in line and watch the clock. We meet in a church basement which is cold in the winter and smells damp and musty in the summer. I'm assuming the price must be right because WW has been meeting there for several years.

I play bells at church tomorrow and then home to "cook" and clean for card club Monday night. Hope you all have a relaxing Sunday!

Jean -- from Iowa!

Good morning ladies! It is cool this morning, but not freezing, which is nice. It is going to be in the 30's when we are in Indiana, but they aren't expecting snow, so I can put up with it.

Susan: Yeah for you and your losses! I talked directly to Geico about the windshield when I was at the glass shop. I guess Geico covers the cost of any repair less than a dollar in size, but unless you have this mechanical breakdown insurance you have to pay the deductible on your policy or the cost of replacement, which ever is less. With the breakdown insurance, Geico covers all but $50 of the cost. Considering on the new car the windshield is over $400 that isn't too bad. You have to have windshield replacement coverage of some kind on your car.

Jean: Sounds like you had a good time with your family. I can't wait to see Jackson, though if he isn't feeling well he will want nothing to do with me!Jack took me to PF Changs for dinner for Valentine's Day and we had a great time. It was sure packed though and we ate dinner at 4 PM. By the time we left at 6 the lobby was packed and I bet people were waiting for over an hour to get in. As we were coming out, we would see people walk to the door see how many people were in there and leave. We brought home a whole other meal. You can get things that aren't over the moon in fat at this place. Jack got this pepper shrimp that he said was to die for and I got a spicy chicken dish that was pretty good and Jack actually ate brown rice and liked it so that was another triumph. They give you a ton of food and so we have leftovers now. Jack bought me a beautiful leather handbag for a gift this year. He was teasing me about the number of bags I have (current total around 75) and said on Friday all the guys were talking about getting stuff for their wives and Jack told them how many handbags I had and said he could go in, pick one, wrap it up and I would think it was new because I had forgotten I had bought it. Very funny, Jack ! Our friends that just got divorced had an electric fence put in and their dog figured out the weak spot and would go through it all the time.

I need to get going. I want to get downstairs cleaned today and upstairs tomorrow so I don't have to worry about it. I have to go and get the mail put on hold on Tuesday and get things organized to leave Thursday morning. Have a great Sunday all!

Faye

Good evening, ladies! Another cold day and night, drat! I am so ready for Spring.

Went to Church this morning and to the teens pancake breakfast after. They are raising money to make 2 mission trips to Nicaragua this summer to build houses for the poor. My friends talked (didn't have to try hard) me into going to the Madri Gras Dinner Dance after Mass on Saturday night. You have to be over 21, couples and singles, so I guess they will be having wine. Then the college kids are having a spaghetti dinner soon. We were laughing that all we do is go to Mass and eat. Although Lent starts on the 25th so it'll be 6 weeks of nothing social.

I made 8 quilt blocks this afternoon for the Relay for Life quilt we are raffling off. When I got those finished, I did a couple of hours of house cleaning...enough to work up a sweat.

Faye, I have State Farm insurance so that might be the difference. I never called the insurance company, I let the glass company do it and it cost me $0. Jack is a keeper to get you yet another handbag. I have one for summer and one for winter for every day and one for evening wear. That's it. I use it until it falls apart then I get a new one.

Jean, we have 3 weighers at our meeting and the leader makes 4 until time for the meeting to start. We always start right on time. Our meeting is at a regular WW center.

Hi, Maggie!

Have a good evening and a great Monday. My evening bee for applique is tomorrow. I don't know if I ever told you, but the name of this bee is "Ladies of the Evening."
