  • Hi ladies,

Looks kind of quiet here. Not quiet in my house. The DH is sitting next to me talking to the website on the screen he is filling in. It is VERY distracting as one would normally listen when someone is talking to them but HE'S NOT TALKING TO ME. If I say something, he will get all huffy.

Ceejay - I'm glad you got your power back on. This is not the time of year to have no heat. Would rather suffer through the summer in the dark than the winter. We're getting a reprieve for 2 days. Warm up to the 60's and then possibly snow again on Sunday. No wonder people are sick!

Spring is here - we have all the birdies at the feeders again.
  • Had to step away for a sec...

Michelle - sounds like you have a full weekend. Not so bad to spend one day hurrying on chores and catch up if you can have the other weekend day for fun and Super Bowl parties! Enjoy and watch those snacks. I hear there is a shortage on chicken wings this year. Oh horrors!

Yes Fisher and Paykel - that's it Shad, thanks! I knew there was an F in there somewhere Thanks for the offer of the part, I think he got it locally. Was complaining something about 1 dollar for the part, 10 dollars for shipping And that's coming within the states here. I've seen people charge horrendous rates for shipping which have turned me off to buying some things in the past. But I guess if you need a part for an appliance, you're stuck. I had a good laugh about your story with the recruiter. Could the bloke be MORE obvious that he doesn't give a hoot about you - only sizing you up like a prize mare to see if he can make money off you? I hate recruiters. Used them a couple of times, never sure they did me any good as twice they put me in the worst companies on earth - tell me they don't know ahead of time that some firms have such a bad reputation that they have to pay high bucks to get some unsuspecting sucker in their doors. But then again, shame on me for not researching them more. Of course in these days of the Internet, it's much more easy to get the goods on someone. In the old days you had to rely on personal networking. What a jerk he was to you tho. I wouldn't count on him coming up with some leads for you or if he does, I'll bet you 20 dollars he sends you on an interview that has NOTHING to do with your area of expertise.

The octuplet lady - NOT MARRIED. All 14 kids concieved via in-vitro fertilization. She's been obsessed with having lots of kids. Conceived the last 8 when she had some left over eggs from her last pregnacy and it was a situation of use them or toss them out because I guess, like chicken eggs, they must eventually go bad. 46 doctors assisted in the delivery. Imagine the cost. She is 33 years old so not as young as originally implied. She claims the cost of fertilization was paid for by an unnamed source - sounds like science experiment to me. Was flipping through cable tv yesterday and they have a show - Platinum Weddings. Million dollar budget weddings of incredible opulance. This world is sure screwy. Some people are strugging to stay afloat yet others are spending 120,000 dollars on flowers for 3 hours. "Because I can" that's the new mantra today. Why do you endanger others by chatting away on the cell and not paying attention to your driving - because I can! Why do you so impolitely just reach in front of me at the salad bar in the cafeteria instead of waiting your turn - because I can! Ugh!!!!!

Anyway - have a great weekend with the crew Annie. Sounds like the makings for a fun get together!

Enjoy that lovely day and nice weather you're having Shad.

Love to Mel you're in our thoughts and we miss you

Hellos to the rest of the worldlies

I'm outta here - time to get busy.
  • Hello Ladies,

I've got lots to do. I will post later.
  • Hello everyone. Sorry 1 that you are still sick. Everyone seems to have it around here. I walk around in public with a cloth over my mouth and nose lol. I can't afford to get sick again. Sounds like everyone is pretty much doing ok. Been same old same old here. Sure glad I did my weigh in because, as usual, it is time for my dot and I am up 6 pounds lol. Happen to be at the docs so I checked the scale. This is most usually how it is during this time so I am not surprised. I am knitting Afghans. I have 5 different people that want them. They sure do help cut down the heating bill lol. My little hands are moving as fast as they can.
  • Hey ladies, hard to believe but we're in a new February thread. Don't post here anymore
