Susie- That would be great to get some type of honor next year. You can do it. You know what it takes, just stick with it. I am just doing my normal thing. Eating on plan, working out everyday. Last night I did 40 min. of Jillian. Always a ton of fun there. I hope this gain is stopping and starts to go away soon. |

Good morning,
I have my workout bag with me for my Body Pump class at noon today. Ready to work out hard. I just got a call from my doctors office. I had blood work last week and my thyroid is too low again. I've had issues with this since I was 21. So, they are upping my meds again. I noticed that I was really feeling tired a lot but just thought I was doing to much. Because having a low thyroid can make one gain weight, maybe this is why I've had to struggle so hard to take anything off. I will start my new meds tomorrow morning. I am sorry I haven't been around much. I needed a vacation after my vacation. Plus my computer is giving me fits AND the site now makes me log in every five minutes which is adding to my frustration.
Kelly, how is your daughter today? How scary. Mindy, have you kicked those 3 pounds to the curb yet? Susie, I know you didn't eat that cereal. I am glad the doc is adjusting your meds - I hope it helps! I have five days on plan, working on day 6. I finally braved the scale and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be: 133.0 this morning. Still more than I would like, but that's ok because I am back on track now. Today I decided I would try calorie cycling again. I was looking over my food journals from this time last year and I had periods when I was able to go 30 days binge free when zig zagging. I think the higher calorie days give me the freedom to "treat" myself a little more so I feel less deprived and binge less. Let's hope so, anyway. Oh, and I lost 10 pounds during one of those 30-day binge-free times. That would be nice. ;) See you tomorrow. |
Ward- you are so with it. you always know just the right thing to do. you might get off track, but you are really good about pulling it all back together. Good for you!!!

Well, things have gone from bad to worse. My daughter is much better, but I am now throwing up. I guess that is one way to lose weight :^:. I can't even sit here anymore. I don't have enough energy. Keep it up girls!

I'm happy to report that I am on-plan. My workout bag is packed for my 5:30 p.m. cadio and strength class, I have my food sheet up to date and I've written in my feeling journal this morning. I also got some things done last night, like paying bills. I even wrote a friend a letter and put it in the mail today. Now, I'm trying to use the quiet at work that I have today with catching up on things here. Kelly: I'm glad your DD is better but I'm sorry to hear that you are now ill. I hope you get better soon! :getwell: Ward: YEAH! for you for getting back on track and for looking back in your food journals and identifying the cycling method. That's why it's so important to keep those journals so one can use them as a reference. You are right, I didn't eat the ceral but it felt weird to just go to bed so I wouldn't! Mindy: Keep doing what you are doing...your body will let go of those 3 lbs sometime! |
Holy crap!! Just when I get excited because things are going well, I have a week like this. I have gained 5 pounds. Yep, 5!!!! WTH??? I swear that if I was not so determined to get thinner, this would be where I give up. There is no possible explaination in the world, so I just move on.
Did 43 min. of Jillian last night, alone. I will be on my own probably all week since Kelly is now sick. Not sure what I will do tonight. Maybe Jillian's strength DVD. Haven't done that in a while. I posted in the mini-goal photo album thread. It was a bit scary, but I have been recieving great comments. That is kind of fun. Ward- Glad you are back on track. Come tell us how you're doing. Susie- Good planning always helps. I pack my workout clothes every morning after I get dressed. I am always ready to work out after school. This week is really becoming a bit odd. No Kelly. Kelly- Hope you are feeling better and are not spending as much time with the porcelain God. Hope you get back to yourself quickly. |
Thanks for all the well wishes! I need them big time. I don't think I have felt this awful in my life. Even during childbirth, I went for the drugs. This time, I couldn't even drag my butt out the door to get some drugs. To make matters worse, my husband started getting sick in the middle of the night, so neither one of us is worth anything to our kids. I am taking another day off from work, so hopefully that will be enough recovery time. At this point, I feel a little bit better, but I am still weak and get lightheaded when I stand up. On a more positive note, I have lost 6 pounds. Not that I ever wanted to do it this way, but I guess if I was going to be sick, those 6 pounds can go away, too. See you all tomorrow.

I just got back from Zumba...I'm trying to cool off before I go heat up my veggie and rice soup for lunch. I have Yoga tonight. That is such a nice class and I need it. Over the years I've kept a lot of my flexibility but my hip-flexers and shoulders get really tight and that class is helping with that. I'm hoping for a good loss tomorrow night. Did anyone watch BL last night? I felt badly for Kristen when those scales went up. Even Bob couldn't explain how that happened. Our bodies are just like that sometimes. Mindy: I can hear your frustration..but good for you for fighting back with exercise. Ward: We are glad you are here with our group! Day 7!! Good for you..way to go!! Kelly: Take it easy...and get well. |
Susie- Zumba and Yoga all in one day. Look at you. Well it must be your last chance workout. I can easily relate to Kisten and the gain. Sometimes it makes absolutely no sense. As you know, I go through this all the time.
Ward- Sounds like you are kicking butt once again. Good for you. Kelly- Hope you are feeling better. Hopefully you will come to school tomorrow. Sorry I told you that you looked like crap today. Hey, nobody has been here today. Well, let me be the first. I am coming down some on the scale. Down to 193.2 today, better than 194.8 like the other day. GRR!!! It was beautiful here today so I went for a run. Did 2 miles with just a short walk at about 1.5 miles.

I stopped at my mom's after work and stayed way too long. It has thrown off my whole evening. Don't think I am working out tonight. I'll hit it hard Tomorrow and Sunday. |

It is such a beautiful day here in Ohio..although I'm not ready wardrobe wise for the weather yet! I need to get my closets changed over. I had a GREAT time last night. I did very well and only had one drink. I was driving and I wanted my friend to be able to not worry about how much she drank. Also, I didn't want all the extra calories. I think I burned a lot of calories from screaming! We sat in the second row from the stage and let's just say that I used up a LOT of $1 bills! My food today isn't bad..just crazy. We haven't been to the grocery yet and so I'm trying to make meals out of what we have...it doesn't feel to balanced. We won't get to the grocery until tomorrow but we are eating dinner out so I'll work on getting those veggies in then. Ward: I'm so happy that you are back to your routine. I know it's important for you to have it. I'm like that too. Mindy: Did you get that workout in today? Kelly: Are you feeling better? I need to go get a shower and get ready to go out with my hubby. We are going to dinner and then to see an Elvis tribute show. Talk to you all tomorrow. |

I have been busy all day today. I just spent an hour cooking with my DD. We are just waiting for things to cook now. We made recipes from one of my low-cal cookbooks. Should be good. I will need to workout after eating. Hope everyone else is having a good weekend. |
Hi everyone. I think I am slowly on the path to recovery. I have never been so sick in my life. I only made it to work a half day last week. On Friday, I took myself to the ER and got some IV fluids. That helped a lot. I still get tired pretty quickly and can't eat very much, but I know that will just take time.
Susie--Congrats on the loss! Keep up the good work and do it again! Mindy--You are doing awesome. I am hoping to be strong enough to work out again soon. Won't be tomorrow because of that wonderful meeting. Ward--So glad you are back on track. See you all later. |

Yesterday was a beautiful day. I worked on the chicken coop for a good hour and a half, gardened for an hour and went on a 3 mile walk/jog. I was hot and dripping wet when I got back. The scale rewaded me today. I am only up 1 pound from my lowest. With TOM in about a week I can expect a small gain before I get lower again.
Susie- What a weekend for you. Sounds like fun. Kelly- Glad to see you are on the mend. Maybe tomorrow we can walk or something. Ward- how are you? |

I'm tired tonight. I had a lot of work to catch up on since I was off on Friday and I worked until 6:15 p.m. tonight. I had a lot to do when I got home as well. Thank goodness DH had fixed dinner. I really missed my workout at lunch today. I usually won't miss it for anything but a friend of mine is moving to CA and this is the last week I could see her before she leaves on Friday. I'm on plan...food journal, feeling journal caught up. Ready for a good workout tomorrow. Mindy: I'm glad to hear those scales are looking better for you. I asked my friend who sells that cream that you have about it and she's going to get me some so I can try it. I might not get it for about a month. It will be that long until I see her again. My food was good and my exericse was good and I'm just how good I am feeling to not be putting junk in my body and to be moving my body. I'm not seeing the results I'd like to see at the scales but the way I'm feeling counts for somehthing too! Mindy: I am a Tara wanna be too! Ward: Happy to see you here..when you aren't we miss you! What did you think of BL last night? I am so jealous of the way Helen looked in those jeans! Kelly: How did you feel after your walk yesterday? |
Susie- OMG, Helen was hot. I want to be 154 and look like that. You keep working. It is certainly happening for you. Maybe not as fast as you would like, but it is happening.

Tonight is TOPS weigh-in. I'm hoping for a good loss!
I feel I've worked hard for it this week. I tried a new Kickboxing class today at work. It kicked my butt and I WILL be going back. It's great because it's every Thursday and it will now become my "Last Chance Workout". Food is going good. I've been doing what Kelly does and schedule in my dessert treats in my calories so I can still have them and stay in range. I'm finding that with that and with the exercise I'm not eating/binging like I did before. I want to tell you how my workouts are now going. I can't believe I'm doing all of these workouts! I feel like Ward! Monday-Power Pump, Tue-Body Pump and Zumba, Wed-Zumba and Yoga, Thursday-Kickboxing, Friday & Sat-off, Sunday-Walking and eliptical :dancer::yay::strong::woops::workout::boxing::exer cise: |

I am happy to report a 3 lb loss at the scale last night! That get's me to where I was 5 weeks ago! I can't believe it took me two weeks to put that 5 lbs on and 5 weeks to take it back off! But I'm happy it's off and THIS TIME IT IS NOT COMING BACK! So, I'm finally back to what my ticker says I have lost for the year. I want to meet that 15 lb goal next week and I"m prepared to work hard to do it! Mindy: Life can get in the way sometimes. I hope that you have a good number at the scales. I just looked at your ticker and I can't believe that you have lost 60+ pounds! Isn't that just amazing! As you said, who would have believed that we would change our lives like this..It's so great! Ward: Seriously, you are the workout queen! I aspire to be just like you. How are you doing? Still on plan? Kelly: Are you back to feeling like your old self? |

I did some shopping today. I bought some new workout clothes..If I'm going ot be doing all of these classes and working my butt off I needed new clothes to do this in. My old stuff was looking BAD! Today is a rest day for me from exercise but I did walk the malls a lot and was on my feet more than I'm used to. I willl get a "real' workout in tomorrow. Mindy: YES, I've been busy and not accomplished much...all the time. Tomorrow I HAVE to get my closet cleaned out and all those winter clothes put away. It's starting to drive me crazy knowing that it's not organized. It also makes it harder to get ready in the morning. OK..so I'm wanting some cookies and milk..but I'm not really hungry..so I am NOT having them. I came here instead. I want another 3 lb loss this week! I'll see you all tomorrow. |

Hi girls! I know I haven't posted in a while. I finally feel like I am back to my normal self after being sick for so long. It was nice walking with Mindy last week, but I have to admit, I felt guilty that I was making her "just" walk instead of doing something better. Mindy, you were really a good sport. Thank you! I am ready to do some better workouts this week, so get ready! I haven't been paying any attention to my eating habits the last few weeks, and I am amazed I have maintained. I lost 7.5 pounds from being sick, but after getting rehydrated that all came back. Hopefully I can get back on track and start losing again.
Susie--Impressive losses two weeks in a row! Good job! Ward--Hope you are still on plan. Mindy--I know you are keeping up on your plan. Are we going to go off plan for an evening here soon? We need that TGIF at work very soon. Hang in there girls! Keep up the good work! |

Susie, congratulations on another great weigh-in! You must be feeling really motivated right now! And what could be better than new clothes? Mindy, tell us more about the bootcamp challenge. I am intrigued by the boot camps I see advertised around here, but a little intimidated, too. I am doing well, on plan (day 20)! The month of May is going to be crazy busy and challenging so I am going to try to go with the flow. Good luck with that, Miss Type A personality. :lol: |
The bootcamp challenge is pretty laid back, so far. We just posted goals and weights etc. We are going to push each other a little to work hard and lose some weight. It's not like the BL thread which is a competition type thing.
I am glad to hear from all of you today. Sometimes on the weekend I feel like I am in no man's land around here. I didn't log my food this weekend. Did you hear that? I would start the day off right and then get busy and forget to write things down. I did strength yesterday so i went up about a pound today. TOM should also be arriving tomorrow so being at 192 right now is okay. Keep working hard ladies. |
All right! I'm back in the saddle! (Mindy, that horse reference was just for you, by the way!) Back on plan today, eating is right on target. Worked out to Bob's Bootcamp DVD with Mindy today. My back is a little sore, but it has been for about a week, so at least it isn't any worse. Hopefully the chiropractor has fixed that today! I am still plagued with headaches every day. The chiro says eating poorly can lead to headaches, so we'll see if being back on track with my food helps that situation. Tomorrow I have a meeting for my daughter's upcoming field trip, so I don't want to be too sweaty when I arrive. I hope Mindy will do some walking/jogging with me so I can get my training up and going for the "Gizzard Fest" 5K we are planning to do in June. I am worried she is going to leave me in the dust :faint:.
Ward--I am glad to see you back! Rock on Ms. Day 20! See, even if you fall off the wagon for a while, you always get yourself back on track. I think about you a lot when I feel like I am never going to get back on plan. I remember that you do it, it is part of living life, and I can do it too! Good luck keeping up in May. It is so hard to stay on plan when times get busy. Mindy--As soon as TOM arrives, those couple pounds will come right off. What happened last month? How much did you lose when he arrived for his visit? Why am I thinking that cream might have thrown your pattern off last month? Susie--What kind of workout clothes did you get? Have you done any measurements in a while? I am curious to see how many inches you have taken off--that ticker is looking good, so I am sure your inches are melting away, too! I just got home from the movies. Went to the The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. I am happy to report that I had dinner before going so I didn't have any snacks at the movie. I did my Body Pump class today. We have a new instructor. I always find that more challenging. He's going to be there for 3 weeks...I'm sort of looking forward to it. Ward: I'm a Type A too...it's so hard to go with the flow but I find that when I do, it usually works out. Kelly: It's good to hear you are back in the saddle. I hope the headaches disapper soon. I haven't done measurements. I should have. People are telling me that I look thinner. This week we are starting a Biggest Loser 12 week contest at my Y. I am on a team with 3 other girls. Our weigh-in will be on Thursday (like my TOPS weigh-in). I'm excited about the contest. They are going to measure us and weigh us. So, I"ll have my measurements for comparrison then. Mindy: You didn't log your food? What is up with that?! lol. It's ok to take a day off here and there but don't get to far from it. I know you won't. You have come to far! Ok..time to head to bed. I'll talk to you all tomorrow. |
Yep, I am back to logging everything again. the weekend just kind of threw me off. I am still waiting for TOM. Today makes 31 days since last month. I think they are getting further apart.
Kelly- I was 194.4 when TOM started last month. Then went down to 190.2 in 5 days. So a little over 4 pounds. But then I turned around and gained 5 during mid-cycle, lost 4, putting me at 191. I am up to 192.2 today. See, 2 pounds less than last month. Not a very good loss for a whole month. I'll stop whining now. Susie- You keep it going girl. You are doing great. Ward- Good to see you on plan. |
