Yee Haaaa! I saw 179.5 (briefly) this morning! The next time I got on the scale it was gone, but that is the first time I have seen it! I am very excited.
Susie--I am so sorry to hear about your husband's job. It is good to know you are keeping strong in spite of it all. Mindy--Hope that scale went down today. Ward--Mmm. That sounds like a good reality show! I am sorry you had a bad binging day. Just get back on plan and keep moving forward. Every day doesn't have to be ruined because of one day. Feels like forever since I've been here, but it's only been a day. Well let me tell you my whole body hurts. Did BL Bootcamp on Thursday and P90X on Friday and all muscle groups hurt. My DD and I spent the day at a horse expo and I complained al day. Sitting, abs hurt, standing, thighs hurt. Still hurts today. I am back to 193.8. I saw 193 today, but then it went away. Strange, wacky scales.
It is beautiful here today so I am planning a walk/jog for later. Haven't been able to get outside in a while now. I am actually looking forward to it. Maybe tomorrow I will see the low 193's. Susie- Sorry to hear about your husband. About 15 years ago something similar happened to me. I worked for a bank, they were sold, then downsized. I was one of the people let go. It turned out to be the best thing for me. I got my unemployment, profit sharing and went back to school to become a teacher. Things have a funny way of turning out. Wish him all our best. Ward- Chuckie Cheese?? So gald I don't have little ones that party there. Pizza is my downfall. I might indulge once a month. Good for you getting right back on track. Don't let one binge become two. Kelly- I knew you would see it very soon. It will be right back, I'm sure. Keep strong and get a workout in this weekend. Just one, that's all I'm asking. |

Thank you ladies for all your kind words about my husband's job situation. When I lost my job 2 years ago things turned out so well for me. It took me about 3 months to find the job I have but it is for the most amazing company. I'm hoping to make it to the gym today for a walk and some weight workout. I'm not sure that I"ll get there for sure. I still have some housework to do. I didn't get it all done yesterday, my energy and mood were just zapped. I usually take a little nap on Sunday but I'm not going to do that today. I want to be sure that when I go to bed tonight I sleep. Mindy: Look at that great number on the scales! Your workout sounds rough but I bet it gets results! Kelly: 170's! I'm sure it looked great and it will be back on the scales soon. Ward: How was Chuck E Cheese? I hope you were able to work through the food hangover. |

But, it was my dad's birthday, and we went out to eat for lunch. I only had a salad, though. Then for dinner we ordered pizza. I am not hugely over my calories, but it is super tough to count. Mindy--I know tomorrow that scale will go down even further. I wonder if this week will be a race for the money between the two of us. I don't care who wins, as long as we lose a bunch!! Well I did get 193.2, so .6 lower. I was hoping for more, especially since I was really low when I checked last night. Well there is still tomorrow and I am looking for 192 something. PLEASE!!!!
Kelly- It would be nice if one of us won this week. You just might be able to do it. Stay strong. Warn your hubbie that when we go eat tomorrow, it will have to be some place decent on calories. For Ward and Susie, we need to stay after school tomorrow for a reading night. Ward and Susie- Hope you are both working hard today. Some of us need to lose this week. Susie, I hope you got your workout in today. My eating was back on plan today. Workouts have been good - 9 mile run on Sunday, Group Power and Group Kick today. I hadn't done Kick in a while - it was fun. I hope I'm not too sore tomorrow. Oh, and Chuck E. Cheese is **** on earth. The kids had fun, though. |
I was back up to 180 today. Oh well, at least I know I will ping pong between 180 and 178 now instead of 180 and 182. Let's just hope I can get 178 (at least) back by Friday. It would be nice to have a chance at winning this week! I gotta earn my money back at least!

I'm so tired! It's the stress of our recent situation that's doing it to me. The good thing is that I have no desire to eat. I'm eating my meals but no desire to binge or anything. I have not got a workout in. It will most likely get done on Wednesday this week. You know, some weeks are just like that. I am logging my food and doing my feeling journal. I have been working on DH's resume and things like that for most of the night since i got home from work. Tomorrow I told myself that I will watch Biggest Loser and give myself a little break from the job hunt. DH isn't all that computer savey so I have to help him a lot. Mindy: Those numbers on the scales look good! Kelly: It looks like you are doing ok as well and I know you will get back to 178 soon. Ward: I'm glad you survived Chuck E Cheese! lol. When I go there with my nieces I always need a nap when I come home. I'll see you all tomorrow. |
I am just here doing my thing everyday. I feel like I am not really making much progress. I should be getting down to 192 or 191, but no such luck. It will be time to gain here pretty soon and I'm scared I will just go right back up. Something has got to give.

I made it here! I came home from work and did more job searching for my hubby and then we spent almost 4 hours working on his unemployment worksheet telling them why he was discharged unfairly. I'm praying it will be allowed. I did watch the Biggest Loser--I didn't see a lot of the 1st hour...just bit and pieces but I did watch the last hour. That poor Blue team! Cathy does look really good now..and that's even at 215! Mindy: You just keep doing your thing...it will pay off. Do you think you could be overtaining. Jillian was talking about that. Ward: Did you see Cathy spinning? I was thinking of you! Kelly: How are you doing? I'm looking forward to Zumba tomorrow. It's going to be my first workout since Friday! |

I was so happy to do my Zumba class at lunchtime today. It really made my mood a lot better. I think I will have a pretty good loss tomorrow unless the stress of this past week plays havoc. I've done really well with not binging or eating more than I should. It's crazy actually...I almost forget to eat because my mind is on so many other things that I need to do. I am looking forward to everyone's posts. Stay STRONG! |
I didn't eat well today, but my exercise was good. Yesterday I did an hour on the elliptical and Group Ride. Today I ran 4+ miles, did Group Power, and 20 min on the bike. Tonight I am meeting some high school friends that I re-connected with on facebook. ack. I haven't seen them in 25 years. Hopefully drinking tonight won't lead to bingeing later.

Not much to tell. Didn't get to work out with Kelly after school, due to a meeting. I need to run a few errands, then I will come home and workout. I was still 193.6 today, just hanging around that area. I can only hope and pray that things don't go haywire this month and I shoot back up to 198.
Susie- Hopefully you will do awesome at your weigh-in. ZUMBA, ZUMBA!! I want to try it. Ward- Hey, so eating was off a bit. I'm sure you made up for it at the gym. Kelly- I hope you are reading this after you worked out tonight. :smug: |
Sorry I have been AWOL this week. Busy, busy. I dropped my calories this week to 1300, and so far I have lost 2.5 pounds since last Friday. I was down to 178.0 this morning. Let's hope it stays for weigh in tomorrow.
Susie--Glad to hear you are getting your workouts back in. Looking forward to your post to see how your weigh in went! Ward--After all that working out, it seems like you could eat and drink anything you want. It is unfortunate that no one can do that. Have fun with your friends and just have a couple! I am happy to report a 2.50 loss this week! I'm so happy about that and I can't wait for my workout tomorrow. My hubby is in the kitchen baking cookies, some friends of his is coming over tomorrow to watch the March Madness basketball games and everyone always wants his cookies. He just asked me if I wanted a cookie and I'm really full from dinner so I said no. I will most likely have one or two tomorrow but that is it. We also got a bit of good news today. He has an interview on Monday. I'm praying, praying, praying! Ward: I bet it will be fun to see those old friends. Remember to drink plenty of water, before, during and after those drinks. To keep those binges away, be sure you check in here everyday. Mindy: I know you would love Zumba...it's so fun. Keeping my fingers crossed for a good loss for you tomorrow. Where is everyone? I didn't get my workout in today. I took a vacation day from work and went to school with my niece. It wore me out! Afterwards, I had planned on working out but I ran errands and they took me longer than I thought they would. When I came home I relaxed with a book that I'm reading and the next thing I knew I had been asleep for 2 hours! So, I"ll have to get a walk in tomorrow. I'll see you all tomorrow. |

I have had a stomach bug, so I haven't been to the gym in two days. <gasp> They're probably sending out a search party. Eating has been limited to toast, bananas, yogurt, etc. I hope to be feeling better by tomorrow. Keep up the good work, guys! |

Yesterday was a crazy day. I had lost some more weight at home but stayed the same at work. Go figure. Kelly did great. I'll let her tell you. We had a work date last night at Applebee's. We were being thanked for showing up at the YMCA when our kids had an overnight there. School treated us. I didn't eat on plan. I even drank. Haven't done that in years. I thought one drink would be okay, then another one mysteriously showed up. There is a very bad boy in our midst.
Needless to say I was feeling pretty good and providing some interesting entertainment. With my principal and her assistant (he is the bad boy). They said they will not be able to look at me the same again. Hey, it was fun and I deserved it. Those 5th graders make my life miserable and it was good to let loose a bit. Now this morning I'm not so happy. My scale is up to 195. I didn't think I did that bad yesterday. But, it is also that mid-cycle gain time. YIKES!!! Susie- :hat: Yippee!!! You are doing great. Keep it up. Try to get that workout in today. I know I sure will. Ward- Hope you feel good enough to get to the gym. You are probably causing them stress wondering where you are. Kelly- Keep strong this weekend. You already ate out once, so you better not do it again. |
Hey everyone, I won the weigh in yesterday for our BL contest! I lost 3 pounds for the week. I was excited. But, then, I went to the staff dinner with Mindy and ate probably too much. Then, amidst hockey games today, ate out twice more. Let's hope this being "out and about" thing ends soon, I need to eat at home. I saw 176.5 today. Not sure how, after not working out a couple days last week and eating like crap Friday night. It will probably show up on the scale tomorrow.
Ward--I am so sorry you are sick. That is the worst. Take it easy. Susie--Congrats on the loss this week! You are just rockin and rollin now! Hope everything goes well for your husband's interview. Mindy--I need more details about you and the very bad boy at dinner, since you two have this little flirtation going on. Apparently I missed all the good stuff. It sounds like we have all let loose a little bit this weekend. We had a birthday dinner out last night with some friends. I didn't have a drink but I did share dessert with my hubby. Just that little bit of sugar has made me crave it today and I've been chewing gum and drinking water all day to get over it. I haven't done any sort of a workout since Wednesday! I don't know what's wrong with me. I love to work out, but I just can't seem to make myself go do it. I AM going for a walk in the neighborhood in just a little bit...when I finish posting. I must move this body. Mindy: Maybe since you relaxed a bit the scales will go down. Them being up the next morning was just a result of being dehydrated from the drinks. Pump that water in! Kelly: Look at you! 3 lbs and winning the weigh-in! I hear you about eating at home. We did that all last week and it really helped me at the scales, not to mention my budget. Ward: Are you feeling any better? |
No such luck as far as the scales going down. It is mid-cycle gain time and I have gone up 3 pounds in 3 days. I am currently doing some research on hormones during premenopause. I know mine are out of whack and I am trying to figure out what I can do to combat it. What I've read so far says I need progesterone, so i bought some cream today. I will see if it helps out.
Susie- I need to eat at home. Eating out just gets me in trouble. I'll have a taco bell , meal of Wendy's Jr. cheeseburger ocassionally, but most of the time I eat at home. Kelly- Keep it up. You are doing great. Do you realize you have now passed me in total pounds lost? WTH??? Ward- Hope you are working out again. |

I was going to try a new class at my gym at work today but my DH had a job interview in the area and so he came and had lunch with me. I was so tired when I got home I just couldn't even talk myself into going for a walk. I hate it when I don't do what I planned to do. I will most certainly get my workout in tomorrow. Other than the no exercise, my food was good. DH has a second interview on Saturday; so that he can showcase his skills. I'm taking it as a good sign. Mindy: Ok, so it's mid-cycle and you know how your body responds, don't get discourged. Kelly: Looking forward to hearing from you. Ward: How are you feeling? |

I had a awesome workout last night. I went to my Body Pump class and I really got into it. I think I just needed to loose myself in something and workoff all that has been going on. Afterwards my workout partner and I went on a walk around the college campus. It was so nice to walk outside in the evening. I don't know if I told everyone that my hubby has a second interview on Saturday. He will be showing them his finishing skills. I am praying that he gets a job offer. I'm going to miss Zumba today because I have a meeting I have to attend. I hate to miss Zumba! I'll most likely go for a walk tonight when I get home. I hope it quits raining so I can walk outside, if not I'll head to the Y and do the track or treadmill. I'm behind on my food sheet. I need to get that caught up. I can't let the little things fall behind. So, did anyone watch BL? Which trainer would you have chosen? Ward: How did the light workout go? Mindy:Good to see you are on plan and down a bit. Susie- I am a Jillian girl, all the way. I like to be cahllenged. I'm "Tara", Kelly is "Laura". That's what we will both tell you. I would have been upset too and then Kelly would have convinced me to get out there and kick their butts.

Well..I have a delima. Tonight is my TOPS weigh-in. I think I might be the same as last week or maybe lost just a little. It's sort of how my body feels to me right now. So, this is my delima. I am invited to a candle party tonight and if I go, I will have to miss my TOPS meeting. I don't like to miss it, BUT, this party is being held at the home of the Cincinnati family that was on Extreme Home Makeover last October. I REALLY want to go and see the house and I'm not sure when I would get another chance. So, what do you think I should do? Mindy: Sprints? Look at you and Kelly! I would have chosen Bob as my trainer. I don't respond very well to Jillian's style of challenge but I can see how others find her motivating. Kelly & Ward: Looking forward to hearing from you. |

Susie - I think I would go to the candle party, but then I really like to look at other peoples' houses and I don't think I could resist an extreme makeover one. But you're only allowed to go if you have caught up with that food diary! No slacking! ;) I had a pretty good workout today - an hour on the elliptical and Group Ride. When I rode on Tuesday I didn't really push myself, and today was more back to normal. The bad part about feeling better is that I am starving. My goodness, I feel like I have been gone forever. I am holding pretty steady. I was at 175.5 for several days, but up a tiny bit to 176 today. If it stays the same tomorrow, it will be a 1 pound loss for the week. I feel like I am doing really well lately, back in my stride. Yesterday was fun doing the walking and jogging with Mindy. I am definitely on board for some 5K's.

Susie- I would have gone to weigh-in, but I am kind of compulsive that way. I feel my whole life is centered around losing weight. You probably went to the party and had a great time. Good for you.

Now that it is getting nice outside, we could go outdoors for some running. We had conferences tonight, so I have been extra busy this week getting ready. Didn't get home until almost 8:00. My family had ordered pizza. I had 2 slices, 440 calories. Then I watched American Idol, then I worked out. At 9:00 pm. What can I say?? My 4 pound gain is down to 2 pounds. I am happy about that. I hope it keeps going. Maybe there is something to this progesterone cream. We'll see. |
Hey girls! Where are you?? Kelly and I had weigh-in today at school. We both lost. I was surprised that I did, but I'll take it. I was down just a little at home, 194.6. That means I'm only up 2 pounds. That's good. We did Jillian's new DVD's tonight. A little cardio, a little strength. It was tough.

I have a gold ths week and it's to loose 3 lbs so I can hit my 1st goal for the year. I'm just ready to get there. I believe I can do it. Ward: I did get my food sheet caught up before I went to the candle party! Thanks for keeping me honest...which reminds me, I need to do today's. Mindy and Kelly: Celebrating your loss! Way to go guys! Tomorrow is the big day for my DH's 2nd interview. He also has a interview with another company on Monday. He did a phone interview with them today. Hi everyone! I am slowly getting disappointed again, despite knowing what I know now. In the last few days, I have gone up 2 pounds, and I know it is probably due to impending TOM, but I still can't stand it. I don't know how you handle it with such ease, Mindy. You don't, I'm know, but you put on a pretty good game face. I was very excited to go shopping today for some new clothes for our vacation over spring break. I was able to buy size Large shirts and size 14 capri pants. I can't remember the last time I was able to do that. It was exciting nevertheless. We are going to Chicago for a few days during spring break, and I told my husband I actually want to do some shopping while we are there. Not that I want to purchase a pair of $500 jeans, but I would like to try some on and have them fit!:D The last time we went to Chicago was about 4 or 5 years ago, and I didn't even want to shop because I knew nothing would fit me anyway. That sucked, so I will take advantage this time!
Mindy--I am so glad the progesterone cream may actually be doing its job. I can't wait for you to start losing again. You deserve it! Can't wait for the weather to get just a bit warmer so we can get outside to walk/jog. Gotta get that distance up! Susie--I am so much like you. I would have gone to see the house in a heartbeat. I am the kind of gal that goes to open houses on Sunday just because I like looking at houses and seeing how people decorate. I know, it is kind of pathetic, but I love it! WOW!! That's all I can say right now. I went up 4 pounds starting last Sat. 4 pounds in 4 days. Started the progesterone cream on Sunday. I have gone down everyday starting Wed. This morning I was down to 192.6. All 4 pounds are gone. And it is right before TOM. This is not typical. I just hopped on the scale and was down to 191.8. Never seem that number before. It has got to be the cream. Dare I hope it is doing that much good?? Can I hope to see the 180's soon???
Kelly- You just need to chillax until TOM moves through. You know that is what it is. You will be losing again before you know it. And yes,I do understand. this weekend I feel like you, eating out a lot. Ate out yesterday and today is my dad's birthday, so going to Finley's. I'll try to pick something smart. Susie- Glad you enjoyed yourself. I'm am certain you cn make that goal. Just stick to the plan and you will get there. You have been doing amazing. Ward- Hope you are back to 100%. I guess I didn't post yesterday? Well, I did pretty well on my food. We had a goodbye party to attend for a co-worker. There was a lot of food there. I choose one dessert, had it, and skipped the wine. I was pretty happy with that. I'm planning on trying a new workout class tomorrow at lunch time. I am looking forward to something new to keep all this fresh for me. Mindy: Tell me more about the progestrone cream. Why did you decide to try this? I'm glad to see the scales going down for you. It's such a great day!! Why? My hubby got a job offer! :carrot: Thank you to all of you for helped me to get through such a scary time. I know I would have overeaten if I didn't know you all were here. I did the Body Pump workout at lunch today. I'm already feeling it! It's a 45 min class and we work the entire body in a cardio way, with using weights and high reps. It really engages the core too. I hope to see some great results in about 8 weeks. How's everyone else doing today? |

I am feeling a bit better today and I hope to make it back to the gym tomorrow. I am still eating BRATY - my stomach seems to hurt when I eat anything. blech. Wow, I think I need to get some progesterone cream! What results! |

I am very sore from yesterday's workout..but it makes me feel so fit and like I'm an athlete. I even went for a walk when I got home last night. We needed to go over to see my father-in-law he lives about a mile away so we walked over and walked back home. I have a very similar workout tonight to the one I did yesterday--I wonder if I'll be able to move tomorrow! :D Ward: Take it easy when you go back to working out. I hope you are back to your normal self soon. Mindy: So, what did you end up doing? Where did you get the progesterone? I know that my gyn talked to me about that one time. Kelly: How are you doing?
