  • I hope things get better Vonni .. i know exactly what you mean with the kids.. you sometimes.. just wanna scream run away and hide.. and not have anyone bother you.. with the winging.. snotty noses or problems.. ekkk kids,,,, lol... I hope your health think gets better too just think... SCHOOL next week.. yippeee. lol


    well here are my holiday pictures.. better late then never hey.. lol.. well John only flew out on mnday so..

    there were heaps of birds the pelicans were my favourite.. they would come flying the minute you caught a fish.. i fed them my little fish lol


    and last of there was a pack of wild dogs we were feeding too .. this orange kelpy just sat by our boat all day waiting to be fed his mates would come and go .. the ran down a cliff face up and down .. but this one had a limp so instead he just sat and waited .. lol

    and finally the bedroom.. there was two with double beds a a room with bunks.. we used the two doubles.

  • Ooh, I've always wanted a holiday on a houseboat - sounds awesome! I'd love to float around, reading books, sitting in the spa... looks peaceful!
  • Ok this is it guys.. im climbing back into the wagon.. i have gone from feeling great and thinking i was skinny to feeling like a beached whale.. lol and no its not becuase my weight has changed a little its because my brain has finally figured out im still fat... lol

    Now my eyes are catching onto the idea too.. when we were on holiday one day we pulled into town to get some supplies and there was anotherboat that pulled in way to fast and hit another boat.. we were watching and in the window of the boat i thought to my self my god look at the size of that poor lady.... it took me a while and then i figured it our it wasnt someone inside the boat it was my own reflection.. ... i ran inside and hid.. lol.. bad hey.....

    So i dont know if anyone else is at the same stage as me.. of restarting.. or if just some of the new girls wanna start with me.. but would love to have a partner in crime.. .. i know you are all supportive.. which is why i love you guys.. ... anyway.. RIGHT NOW!!! is where i restart.... im not ready to weigh in yet but im ready to get my butt into gear.

    ok i think since im saying im restarting i should tell what im doing today..

    well lets see.. cals ... hmmm upto 1543 and not had dinner yet.... dont ask!

    so my goals for today will be water water water... a healthy dinner and to not go over 1900 cals... ck reccomends 1780 for me so ... i think that will be impossible today.

    Im not into well ive blown today i'll start tommorrow i'd rather start afresh right now.. .. exercise.. i plan a little later to take the kids for a bike ride around the block.. I will walk since i dont own a bike.. but i think thats a good way to get back into the swing of moving.. .. i hope you guys dont mind me coming in and making myself some goals each day.. i think this is what i need right now
  • Yay Amy, good on you for getting back on track. You sound really determined and I think that checking in here every day and setting some goals each day is an awesome idea. And of course, you've got my full support

    I had a reasonably good day with food yesterday. Had a snack in the evening which I really didn't need but that was only a few crackers with cheese and gherkins so nothing too deadly.

    Went to the hairdresser last night so missed out on going to the gym and was very surprised with myself when I decided to set out for a walk at 8:30pm! Usually I'd just not bother but I felt really restless so did a 60 minute walk.

    Payday today and hooray for that because that means that I get to go grocery shopping!

    No gym tonight because I'm meeting a friend for dinner. The big challenge will be to stick to my points for the day and not go overboard with the Chinese food tonight.


  • ok well i weighed myself this morning......... uh oh........ lmao...

    i am........ pleased dont scream... 113.9 .. so i have gained 3.7 kilos since the start of december.. .( which is about the last time i was serious about this thing)

    which is porpbably the amount i coulkd have lost over that time.. lol .. i suck.. but at least im aware of how much i suck now.. and im getting things back on track... lol ..


    goals for today water water water water water..
    breakfast ..... fruit.. fruit and more fruit
    Lunch going to go get some mountain bread and make a yummy wrap
    Dinner .. chicken stirfry ..
    snacks.. fruit or veg nothing else..

    exercise go on the elliptical ..

    need to run a few errands today.. also ..

    some one smakc me if i go off plan... thanks.. lol
  • Vonni I'm thinking of you today - I hope it goes really well for you .

    Amy it's awesome that you recognised it really quickly and decided to do something about it now. Over the last ten years I have tried to lose weight at least four times - and each time I would lose about 10kg and then lose the plot . This time I hope I've got it sorted, and I hope you have too .

    Hey Julia is there a reason you weigh-in in the evening? I always weigh heavier at night than in the morning.

    I'm having an up and down week. I sat up until 3.30am two nights ago to watch the inauguration of President Obama - and that seems to have thrown me right out of routine, but my plan is to at least try and maintain last week's good loss.
  • Ani, I weigh myself in the evenings because I don't have scales at home and I don't go to the gym in the morning. Thinking of perhaps changing from Monday to Tuesday but will wait and see.

    I'm not surprised that you're out of synch having stayed up so late. The inauguration was televised here at 5:30am our time and I got up early to watch it. Very exciting times.

    for me sleep is about 40 percent of the problem if i dont get enough sleep im alot more hungry .. and alot less careful too ..



    ok fabulous day for me today wasnt exactly as i planned it but that doesnt matter ..
    banana and a milo for breaky
    coffe and almonf finger for morning tea
    im within calories had yummy sushi for lunch
    then a chicken wrap for dinner.. ..
    did a 70 minutes walk today instead of the elliptical and then went for 2 hours of swimming tonight after dinner..

    LOVED IT .. put the kids in the kiddy pool and swam in the half length part of the pool so i could see them.. was great.. ...
    so heres to another great day tommoroow.. not sure if i will be able to move since in very tight at the moment across my back and shoulders.... lol.. anyway off to bed.. ..
  • My diet was a shocker yesterday. A friend took me out for lunch and I had a delicious roast pork and onion sandwich. Not too bad but high in points. Then I went out for dinner with a friend where I ate 5 fried dumplings and rice with honey bbq pork and lemon chicken.

    Then I went home and snacked on crackers, chocolate and a glass of wine.

    According to my guestimation, I consumed approximately 34 points yesterday which is 14 more than my daily allowance.

    OOPS!

    I'm going out for dinner again tonight so will check out the menu online and try and decide on something good. Will also go to the gym after work so hopefully that'll undo some of the damage I did last night.


  • I had a shocker too Julia - I reckon I ate around 2800 calories . I have woken up feeling gross and sick in the stomach - not to mention ANNOYED with myself!

    But it's just a day, and it's over. So I'll just get right back into better habits today and make choices that are more healthy for me, and I'll try and learn from yesterday's stupidity.
  • Maybe its in the air guys..... I had an ok DAY yesterday, but went to bed with.... wait for it............. a hot cross bun with margarine, a mini vanilla drumstick, and a snack packet of light and tangy chips. I woke up with the most disgusting taste in my mouth and so tired and greasy feeling in the face. George has arrived with a vengence to so that doesnt help. Ani app is next Thursday, will be sure to post results when i get them. Gotta go now, getting groceries as cupboard is bare. And very tight budget to grrrrr.
