GUESS WHO!!!!! I got home this afternoon and am doing really well and NO MORE BAG!!!!! Jack sent Jean an email this morning but it didn't go through.

I am having a backache in the area where the stoma would have been in front but I am sure everything will eventually even all out. It all went very, very well. The reason I was in so long is my incision started draining and coming apart so dr took out a bunch of staples and packed it. He wanted to make sure it was healing well before I came home as Jack is going to have to take over.

I just scanned the posts, but will read them in the next day or so and reply to stuff. Just wanted all my dear friends to know I am home and well.

Had an interesting situation with the SIL and it is going to probably get nasty. Will fill you in when I feel better to sit for awhile at the computer.

Take care all! I am going to crawl into my bed (the recliner) with a heating pad and watch the Cubs game.

Good Evening, Flowers! It's been another sunny day and a bit warmer although windy. The rain is supposed to come during the night and they are still predicting snow for Friday night and into Saturday. No wonder the robins look confused! I am still fighting this sinus headache. It's been a week and I am seriously thinking about making a doctor's appt. and get some stronger meds; it's been a week now and I'm sick of feeling this way.

Susan -- I took my appliance books to school today and the washer says not to use "regular" detergent but to use any marked "HE" -- High Efficiency. There is a sample of Tide that came with the washer but I've never had good luck with Tide. I evidently use too much because I always have suds, suds, and more suds. We have soft water and I never use as much as any of the directions say to use. The dishwasher is doing it's thing as I type.

"Gma" -- Welcome back! I sent a reply to Jack's first email and it came back as being an error message and undeliverable. I'm glad that you are home and know you will be more comfortable there. I'll bet Fortune was glad to see you!

Hope you all have a terrific Thursday. I am heading off to bed and another dose of OTC sinus stuff.

Jean -- from Iowa!

Just a quick peek in this morning.

Jean: Hope you can get a handle on the sinus headache. They are the worst. Yes, Fortune was thrilled. He slept with me all night last night and is right now waiting for me to come back to the recliner! lol

I slept all night except for restroom breaks so that is good and am feeling pretty good. My bum is burning and sore from disuse I imagine, but should right itself in a few days I expect. I am tired but can get around by myself better this time than the last. Maybe the blood infection kept me down last time.

Anyway, Hi to everyone and I will check in soon.

Good Evening, Flowers! Made a WM run after school, fixed a quick supper, paid some bills, and am ready to head to bed. I still have a headache -- dull but still there. I feel pretty good in the morning and it seems to be worse at night.

Not much newsy going on in my life right now except trying to make arrangements for MIL to come back. She has to have a physical and a TB test, both of which she needed to get into the rehab place in AZ. Evidently it was long enough ago so that the local joint wants an updated physical. Bob's brother made flight arrangements without consulting us. She has to have an "interview" with the person in charge and then can officially move in the next day. If she comes on a weekend that means we have to either put her in a motel or worry about her falling here on the steps for 3 days and nights. Anyhow, they are going to change the ticket to sometime after Mother's Day (I hope!) and then brother #1 can travel with her and not have to send her alone. It is a direct flight but she is nervous about coming alone for some reason.

Hope you all have a fantastic Friday! We get out of school early and I was going to go cat shopping at the vet's but the only cat they have is a male and I really would rather have a female. I have a couple other leads so we'll see.

Have a fantastic Friday! I am heading for bed!

Good morning, ladies!

Faye, so glad you are back and doing well.

Jean, how's the kitty shopping going? Males that are neutered are very loving.

Yesterday was the worst day of my life. Stan complained all night about pain in his knee and stomach so I called 911 and took him to the hospital. An ultrasound revealed a blood clot in his leg. He also has more bleeding from the colitis. They can't treat the blood clot because of the colitis. They can't do surgery because he'd never live through it. Basically they told me there is nothing more to do. They got me in touch with Hospice and I've brought him home. We have discontinued all his medications and dialysis. They have prescribed others for pallitive care to keep him comfortable. I'm giving him morphine every 2 hours. It probably won't be more than 2-3 weeks. He stopped eating a few days ago. As always my boss has been super. He'll keep my job for me and has offered all kinds of support. My friends have already rallied around and will be spending time with me every day. I have his aide and the nurse and Hospice so we will get through this.

I don't know how much I'll be posting but I'll at least try to get here and read yours.

Susan, I am so sorry to hear of Stan's problems. We will keep both you and Stan in our prayers. You have been so devoted to him and it is such a difficult time for you both. I am glad your boss is being so kind as it is one thing less for you to worry about.

Again, our prayers are with you.

Arrow Finally Friday

GOOD AFTERNOON MY FRIENDS

We went to pick up our new air conditioner yesterday and got it installed today. My husband is so handy so we didn't have to pay the big bucks for installment Now we shall wait until a hot day to use it. We are still in the days when the windows are open and inside fans work. But we will be so glad we got it in now while it is still cool. Next is to take out the old air conditioner in the bedroom area and install a ceiling fan. The one in that area only ran with the generator which we very seldom ever turn on.

SUSAN My prayers are with you and Stan. I know you are going trough some rough times right now and I wish I were closer to give you a I am so pleased that you have such a nice support group around you there close. Friends like that and your understanding boss sure help lighten the heavy load you are experiencing.

JEAN Get the cat of your chouce. Don't settle for anything less for you will have it for years to come. But Susan is right ~ neutered males make wonderful pets.

GLORIA So nice to see you here. Come back more often, I should talk eh.

FAYE Look who is back. So glad things are working out now that your operation is over. Take it easy and you'll be back to exact in no time. Walking down the road to thin can wait until you are feeling your old self once again.

Yack at ya'll later
