my daughter asked a very good question is there a spot on 3FC just for kids. when i registered i noticed you had to be 13 to join. she will be 13 soon enough lol and has maintained a healthy body weight for 3 years now, was 50 lbs overweight in the 3rd grade, she actually inspired me. anyway thought it would be nice if the kids had a gathering place.

We used to have a teen forum, but it attracted a lot of kids with eating disorders such as anorexia, and we aren't trained for that. They also seemed to encourage each other in their eating disorders, which scared us. We eventually closed the teen forum and encouraged any teens 13 and over who are genuinely interested in achieving a healthy weight to join us in our regular forums.

well i can certainly understand that. i know most of us mothers like to think our children are exceptional and she really is very mature for her age (she is 12) sometimes i forget how much so until i'm around other kids her age, most of them make me want to slam my own head in the back door anyway when she turns 13 i'm going to let her join, thats not till NEXT february, but she is really interested in 3FC. she knows it's kinda in the "genes" and works really hard to maintain a healthy body weight.
