  • Well, it was a busy day for me, that is. I have so much to do and wish I had the real ability to really get in and get it done but.....slowly ......but surely!!!!! We are getting ready to paint the entire house and I really want to texture the walls. I wish my hands had not been so affected, my artistic mind wants to do so many things.... murals and effects and ...and... LOL The body on the other hand says quietly , just try it sucker!!!!! Oh well. I have to laugh my mind still just doesn't see obstacles!!!!! After all these years you'd think that mind frame would change but I am glad the artist in me is still alive and kicking if only in the mind. Life is change who knows that could change too. However I have to sketch out the beginning of our landscaping which will take a good while, time and money allowing of course. I am starting with flowers and river rock. and the pool ! The durn thing just looks like a hole in the ground with a diving board no tile just concrete and it is in need of beauty.........or at least I am. The house has to be completely organized and sparkling before family comes. His and mine. I would like to lay new flooring in the kitchen and hallway and for sure sand the cupboards and paint them . New Kitchen cabinets are out of the question at this time but maaybe someday. Still one can brighten and make touches to create an atmosphere. That will be fine. I think I may end up making the bedspread and curtains I want for my bedroom, when my hands are in the mood and co -operate. I could make the nightstands I want to , with the hidden storage I want but Those days are gone. I know how! I know how to do a lot but.......... LOL The days are sweet regardless and life is such a wonder who could not bathe in the beauty of it all. You all take care. Gee we are really doing well aren't we. Rededication is grand and brings joy ......I am ready for that joy!!!!!!!

  • Good Morning Chicks!

I said I was tired of the excuses and I meant it! Last night I walked a mile, did 25 minutes on the elliptical, and did an upper body strength training workout. It was suppose to take 46 minutes to complete the weights, but it only took me about 25. I know I was lifting too fast, but when I got done my arms were shaking, so I think for a beginner I did good.

My elliptical is hard! I had to loosen the resistence as far as it would let me. My quads got a helluva workout, but I like it. it does give the feeling of running...and the machine said I burned 261 calories.....whoooo hoooo!

I am trying to do the BFL workouts. They want you to raise your intensity level each minute, and then after four minutes drop back down and start again. I am having trouble with the intensity levels. I think after I get more comfortable on the elliptical it will get easier.

I am back Op today and just in time! Weigh in is tomorrow! I am hoping for a one pound loss...My jeans aren't tight today so hopefully....

    Fralick, Sue....Where are you guys?????

Pam, take it slow on that house. I injured my back redoing mine! It will get done all in good time. Also for textured walls done easily try a rag roller. They sell them in WalMArt and KMart. My living room looks fabulous because of it. If you have a hard time using a roller (they can make your hands sore...) get you hubby to help!

Have a great Day ladies! 24 days left!

:sheep: :hopping" my weigh to 190 by Easter!
  • What's up Doc?

Feeling very bunny-like today! Did not lose anything, but I feel good today! Life is a good today.

I did not get to work out last night....I know I said no excuses, but I had 2 sets of company and then BF and I cleaned house....yes he helped...and he is going to do dishes today!

He works tonight so I am thinking I will have lots of time to work out if I plan it correctly....I am hoping for 25 minutes cardio and lower body strength training.

    Maybe a walk as well....

You chicks have a great weekend, and if I don't get a chance to check in...I will see you on Monday!
  • I have been very unbunny like latley but i will be back OP after and during the day!!! today and back OP. MY DD was just asked to go to florida and she wants to shape up so her and I am going all the way with exercise and eating!
  • I am OP and drank 100 ozs of water rather than 128ozs as I got started later than usual. Doing well a bit down in the lower back but not too bad ....bending is out but this is n big deal. I wanted to make sure everyone know that if you are taking fat burners as I will be this week (only 1 a day for the first week, body has to aclimatize to the burner) that if you stay on them continually the body will slow it down and stop your progress completely, sometimes for a long, long time as I well know from experience!!!! Aint that right Sue Bee and Pat!!!!!! It is so disheartening and the trigger that caused me such a back slide from my program. Man what a set back! The professionals recommend taking them 2-4 weeks and stopping 2-4 weeks to eliminate this problem. If you do have a stop it will last a brief time rather than for weeks and months at a time. I talked to one of the Pro's and he said they wil work great if I followed this advise without the total stops!!! Good news for me I can tell you.
You may lose less on the off weeks or even just los a little bit bt the on weeks will more tha make up for it if used in this manner. He said if I just kept takin them without the pill breaks my bodywould compensate for the pill and sloww it down or stop it completely from speeding up the metabolism. I know I don't want to
go through that again. Hope this info helps.
    Pam
  • TOTALLY OFF PROGRAM!!! I do not understand why?

    I need to try harder!!!
  • Hello Bunnies!

I am off program by choice today. It's my birthday and I have pigged out totally.

Sue, Don't worry we will get you back on track...here's some kicks in the butt for ya!>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<
It's nice to get to kick you for once! You are usually kicking me!!!!

Pam- Thanx for the info n the fat burners....i am on some, but I don't think they are really helping....they do help me out with the necessary energy I need. I knew you were not suppose to stay on them indefinitely. I have noticed that if you take them for long periods of time your body gets used to them, and they begin to lose their effect...energy wise. We'll see how things go.

I will be back on program tomorrow...I am going home now to move my jiggly butt...

Stay optimistic Sue...WE'll get through this, and lose those pounds!

    Keep Hoppin! :sheep:
  • Hello hoppers...

I took my "before" photos last night....they are going to be ugly! i hate that the photo lab people are going to see them, but Oh well It can't be helped.

I took yesterday off...it was a hectic day. I am planning a 20 minute cardio, lower body workout for today. Son has Karate tonight, so I will probably go Run/ walk for an hour...that will take care of my cardio anyway.

Well my time has run out! I will type at ya again tomorrow!

:sheep: Hopping to 190 by Easter!
  • Melody, thanks, I will get a rag roller.that is just what I was looking for a way to keep it simple! I in no way could hope to do any of my home "projects " by myself. By body is weak and due to the disease that has wrecked havoc
walking is in itself a grand blessing. The frustration is I know how to do so many things, things a linen and lace female usually does not know. There was a time my dear , there was a time. Now whatever I do is a little at a time. Although I see the completed work.I know what needs to be done to achieve it. A look , an atmosphere of elegant comfort at an affordable price! With a little creativity so much can be done and of course
somethings take funs and can only be done as finances allow. I was proud just to be able to cook again. I had lost so much feeling in my arms and hands that I wasn't
able to be functional in anyway but Thank God I have restored feeling in both legs and arms my hands actually are working pretty well.
After two years a miracle did happen so you know why I believe in miracles. The spinal pain is also gone. I have my days and the nerve damage can really be a problem. It is not a daily problem anymore. At 31 I suffered a severe spinal injury and it all fell apart after that but miracles do happen in my case after years of being nearly bedfast. Slowly, despite the injury
and disease gradually miracles happened. A Few years I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy if this could come about as it has, lossing weight seems only an act of gratitude. The frustrations.... I can cope!!! LOl
  • Sue Bee,
Honey, you are so close to goal, so much work and effort. Two years you have been here to get as far a you have. You have earned the success......you have almost reach goal. Don't give up on yourself now
when you are almost there. You do deserve it. I ask you to think of what the feeling was that allowed you to let go of your focus. What was the feeling when you started to fall? Located that moment and that feeling that said it was no longer so important to you, what feeling gave you permission to let it go?
Lets work through this Sue Bee. I want you to be free to reach all your goals. Think about it Dear. You can talk to me anytime , you are almost there.....
