Muggers and thieves abound - BEWARE!!!!

Dear chicks... because you are all so dear to me, I felt I HAD to warn you. Read on...

You've heard about people who have been abducted and had their kidneys removed by black-market organ thieves.

My thighs were stolen from me during the night a few years ago. I went to sleep and woke up with someone else's thighs.

It was just that quick. The replacements had the texture of cooked oatmeal. Whose thighs were these and what happened to mine? I spent the entire summer looking for my thighs.

Finally, hurt and angry, I resigned myself to living out my life in jeans. And then the thieves struck again.

My butt was next. I knew it was the same gang, because they took pains to match my new rear-end to the thighs they had stuck me with earlier. But my new butt was attached at least three inches lower than my original! I realized I'd have to give up my jeans in favor of long skirts.

Two years ago I realized my arms had been switched. One morning I was fixing my hair and was horrified to see the flesh of my upper arm swing to and fro with the motion of the hairbrush.

This was really getting scary - my body was being replaced one section at a time. What could they do to me next?

When my poor neck suddenly disappeared and was replaced with a turkey neck, I decided to tell my story.

Women of the world, wake up and smell the coffee! Those 'plastic' surgeons are using REAL replacement body parts --stolen from you and me!

The next time someone you know has something 'lifted', look again - was it lifted from you?

THIS IS NOT A HOAX. This is happening to women everywhere every night.

WARN YOUR FRIENDS! :fr: :coach:

P.S. Last year I thought some one had stolen my Boobs. I was lying in bed and they were gone! But when I jumped out of bed, I was relieved to see that they had just been hiding in my armpits as I slept. Now I keep them hidden in my waistband. :s:

Shaker - so sad to here of all the bad news in your life. Good wishes for the DH. Sad as it is for the kitty, perhaps you are right and the kitten is moving upstairs to be with the work friend. Hope you have a good time on break. Happy Easter.

:yay: Carla - I'm so proud of all your successes today!

Welcome to the gang Michelle - glad to have you along!

Shad - the new kitchen sounds nice. Hope you can keep that SS shiny and bright. Nice neutral, clean colors that will compliment any wall color you might choose.

Painter - DH showed me an exercise that is supposed to increase brain power. It was in the AARP magazine and I saw it for myself so I am not making this up. Cross your hands and lightly pinch your left earlobe with your right hand and pinch the right earlobe with the left hand (cross your arms in front of you but don't put your arms so close you choke yourself). Now hanging on to your earlobes for balance, squat down slowly and then back up again. Do this 10 times. I SWEAR I am not joking. We both did it together. I almost spit at DH laughing and stumbled back and almost fell on the floor. DH being the trooper and far more committed than me, finished his exercise. He's been doing it every day. He still can't remember the names of things so I don't think it's working too well. Darn AARP - someone in the editing office is probably having a good laugh

FINALLY - SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS!!! :yikes: :sumo: :club: :dracula: :sklol:

Ever since I watched Night of the Living Dead way back in, I don't know, 1968 - I CANNOT sleep with the closet door open. I check it each night before I go to sleep. "They're coming to get you Barbara..."

Don't like having the TV in the bedroom after seeing Poltergeist either.

carla49 03-20-2008 12:35 AM

Shaker, so sorry to hear the string of bad luck. Try to keep your chin up.

Happy, you are too funny. I'm going to send that one to all my friends on the lumpy side of fifty...

Shad, do let us know how the interview went!

Day 3 successfully completed. Only 97 to go... Arghhh!

And speaking of going, it's time to go to bed. ZZzzzzzzz

happy2bme 03-20-2008 12:39 AM

Yes Shad - good luck on the interview - that is as long as you truly WANT the job. ;)

Goodnight Carla - pleasant dreams!

Do you know the reason I married my husband? It wasn't because he was rich. The man is never going to be rich. It wasn't because of his looks. He is just now growing into himself as he gets older and is now great looking. Not for his body. lol didn't have it until after we were married. I married the man because he believed in the closet monster.

Oh my gosh, the first time I ever saw night of the living dead was about 1985. I had dreams, I had night mares. I would wake up streaming to everyone to get the wood up over the Windows lol.

Oh my gosh you poor thing. I read your story. I think the closet monster stole your mind lolol.

PainterWoman 03-20-2008 04:28 AM

Shaker--So sorry to hear about your multiple losses. No fair when they pile on like that. I don't appreciate it when Reality insists on imposing what seems like random surprises on my prior expectations.
Glad DH is going to get his "barnacle" removed. Melanoma is not our friend.

Happy2B: Apparently my body parts have also been cruelly replaced. Do you know how we can go on the offensive and pick body parts we like?
The Brain info says that it takes 6 months to grow additional/new Neurons. So perhaps you and DH need to continue with your ear-lobe squats and spitting! I usually settle for crossword puzzles.:D:D

MELODY525 03-20-2008 08:09 AM

still with the hip. guess i got carried away pedaling while watching the biggest loser and talking to a friend. will chat tomorrow. does anyone want a grandson.....cheap! or should i say cheep cheep!

diyana 03-20-2008 09:18 AM

I am so glad the week is nearing the end and that my company is closed tomorrow afternoon for Good Friday! Yay! I took a brisk 1/2 hour walk yesterday at lunch. It was chilly, but nice to get out in the sun. I'm going bowling tonight with some former co-workers. Though my back is a little twingey so I might just sit and watch. We'll see how I feel. On Friday and Saturday, I'll be hitting the gym. My eating has been good, but I'll have to be strong tonight not to give into any of the junk from the bowling alley snack bar or alcohol bar! :nono: I did Day 1 and Day 2 of the 100 Days yesterday; and today I'll do Day 3 and Day 4. Winter hasn't left Wisconsin yet....some areas of Southeastern Wisconsin are supposed to get up to 8" of snow tonight and tomorrow - where we live is suppoed to get less Thank Goodness!

And I agree with you chicks, I do NOT want to be 21 again, though I wouldn't mind having the body and energy of a 21 year old! And the one thing I would do differently if I were that age again would be to go to vet school and become a vet. Being with animals brings me such joy. And I really enjoy nurturing them, caring for them and giving them love. :)

Carla - :congrats: on the continued weight loss and on your 3% of perfection!

Shad - :congrats: to you also on the weight loss! As for your hair color, it sounds really pretty. Maybe you'll get to like it after a couple weeks. :) Your new kitchen sounds like it will be so lovely and so organized and functional! Great going! Best of luck on the job interview! Is it a job that you'd really like to get?

Shaker - I'm so sorry to hear about your co-worker's passing, and your foster kitten...but she's upstairs now being cared for by your work friend. And I hope your DH's spot is taken care of quickly and completely. You've had a rough time. I hope you are having a pleasant Easter weekend with your family.

Happy - Those same :censored: muggers and thieves have stolen from me too! I hope your work day goes better today.

Mel - I sure hope the hip feels better soon. Take good care of yourself.

Hope everyone is having a Terrific Thursday today!

Thanks for the laugh this morning. I needed that. I've been looking at the websight for the 100 day challenge. Think I'll make up my own version.
We dodged the bullet at 5 p.m. but the storms that hit at midnight got us pretty hard. Paragould got hit pretty hard at 5 p.m.

Mel
Feel better soon

Painter
I do the word search to keep my mind active.

Carla
Congrats on those pounds lost. You are doing great.

Michelle
hi--see your egglight aglow. Hope you enjoy the week end.

Rennie
I'm so glad to see that I'm not the only one who likes the closet door shut at night because of the monsters. I don't watch scary movies because of this.
I guess we could do as the little girl in the grape juice commerical and leave it antioxidants to protect us. I keep the bathroom light on time at night. and keep a flashlight near by in case. I always know when that light goes out at night.

Today is the first day of Spring. It is a cold, frosty day as well but is suppose to warm up this afternoon. I had to be at a meeting at 7 a.m. at the fire department. Mel, I thought about you. Unfortunatly the firemen were not in uniform and most of them were short. I had to walk past those big fire trucks, too. I've always had a fear that I'd get run down by one of these things if I were on foot and had to walk in front of one.

Ruth, Shaker, Shad and the rest Have a good a day.

This is my heart heathy plan for the next 100 day's
take bp md daily--for some reason I don't do this
take omega 3 and baby aspirin daily
limit cholesterol to 150 mg's per day(ldl was 76 on last dr visit would like for this to be the same or lower)
eat both good fat and bad fat--need to raise the hdl on next blood test.
no caffiene
improve sodium/potassium ratio
30 minutes of cardio daily--no if's and or but's.
get at least 8 hours of sleep

Shy Moment 03-20-2008 12:50 PM

Cee
I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee scary movies. Not this Freddie crooger slash em kind. I mean scary. I love Christopher Lee as Dracula. Come on baby you can suck on my neck any day of the week lol. Isn't it funny, the power goes off and our eye balls pop open. Yes, I have a flash light by the bed lol. We have the closet doors off of the hall way closet right now because we are refinishing them. I keep telling the hubby, DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND that leaves an open portal get those things done. He just laughs at me and says monsters can't live in closets that don't have doors. Men just think they know everything don't they.

di
I wouldn't mind being 21 again IF AND ONLY IF I knew what I know now.

Melody
My children's older sister will be up this summer with her 4 children. Do I look like I need another kid in this house. Oh my gosh, the whole time they are here I am cleaning and straighting up. I know everyone loves them here but for me, I would rather get post cards lol. Now don't get me wrong. I loved raising my kids. I was a stay at home mom and loved every single min of it. My time is DONE I don't want to see you potty and I do not know why goofy can talk but Pluto can't and let me tell you a secret i DON'T CARE EITHER. When my children ask if I want grandchildren I am honest I tell them NO. I dream of white carpet. I dream of being able to make love on the living room floor before I am to darn old to be able to get up and down off the living room floor. I dream of my glass coffee table not having finger prints on it lol. And, why is it when you say you don't want grandchildren, that you do not miss the pitter patter of little feet around the house people think you are terrible. I love kids, I think they all taste good covered in open pit bbq sauce :)

upswife 03-20-2008 01:16 PM

afternoon ladies! just a hit and run for now. have to get moving to the gym. DH has been keeping some weird hours for work, and also has all the Holy week Ceremonies at church. Tonigh he is going in for Mass, then right off to work. I won't see him again until tomorrow morning. Gotta run, will get back on later and post more.

Luv Ya!!

Shad 03-20-2008 06:18 PM

Morning all,
The washing machine is going, the coffee is perking, the list of to-do's has been created and I am here enjoying my breakfast and coffee in the sunshine and chatting to you lot. However I have no problems with monsters in cupboards since either the cupboard has been recently purged or.......... it is too full for him to be able to reside in there. No doubt if there was one, it is down at the dump with the other junk. :lol3:

Shaker, my thoughts are with you and I send  aplenty. I hope the spot on the back turns out to be nothing more than an age spot. But it is good to get these things checked out. Shakers DH has obviously been checking things out. Well done him. Have a good old family time at Easter. I hear the weather is not too bad over there at the moment. And well done on not breaking the diet. It is a triumph over adversity.

For those in the frozen north, Australia is known as the melanoma capital of the world because people spend far too much time in the sun without adequate protection. Here a tan is everything. In NZ, due to the world wannabees playing around with Mother Natures miracles, there is a huge hole in the Ozone layer and this causes many skin problems as well as other cancers. They are usually fast and very frightening. My mother with her very fair skin had many skin cancers removed from her face. Even my Dad, half Maori and very dark had problems with skin lesions towards the end of his life. Changes in skin should never be neglected and along with the boob squish and the pap smear, you should all put skin checks on the calendar every two years. I call all these checks along with hearing and eyesight tests, my Warrant of Fitness (WOF) and I toddle along happily around my birthday time to get all these things looked at. So far it has worked. End of lecture.

Happy - stolen body bits??? It must be the monster in your closets doing the evil deed. A butt 3 inches lower than before - waaa haaa ahhaa. Very funny. Nice laugh there. Also had to laugh at the exercise. Is the pulling of the earlobes meant to increase the area through which sound can enter and therefore you get more information in. I tried it, but I'm worried about what size my earlobes might get to before I begin to remember how little they were!

Carla - day 3 is done! Well done and well done to all of you who are embarking on the good ship Perfection. Smooth seas and plain sailing to you all.

Mel - no thank you, no grandson. Cheap, cheep or otherwise. I'm done with pets for a while and Sunday the cat will get the pyrolytic oven if she doesn't soon shut up about feed me, feed me when she has a perfectly good bowl full of biscuits waiting for her. Bl**dy cat! Although she may have some tooth problems or such. I may have to delve into the depths of the mouth to find out if she needs a trip to the Vet. The vet once said that I could get a little toothbrush and clean them for her. I thought he was joking but apparently not, it is a common problem with build up of tartar on teeth for felines, however I am not in the mood to be ripped to shreds by claws and teeth so she will go to the vet and get anaethetised for that.
Hope that hip comes right soon.

Michelle - Great going on the double rate of days to perfection.
I guess I will get used to the hair colour, just didn't want to be red and certainly not copper topped anyway, but thems the breaks and I will chat about it more carefully next trip to the hairdresser. My hair grows fast and thick so it won't be all that long.

Ceejay - be careful in those storms.

Rennie - one of my kids asked me once if I would feel incomplete without grandchildren. My reply was that I had no say in the matter. Children are and shall be a direct responsibility of the parents and who am I to say whether they should have them or not. Do I want to be a Granny - not particularly. Never was a particularly maternal person. And besides which IMHO there are already too many people in this world and like Michelle, I think the animals are in more need of our help than the human race is. It already has everything it needs but it is consumed by greed and wants more and more - to the detriment of the earth and it's flora and fauna. There is little in the way of checks and balances left anymore.

Okay - the job interview went off fine, thank you for asking. It took an hour and a half rather than the scheduled 45 minutes and ranged between Change Management, tech writing, conflict management and training. They have, although they didn't say anything about it, 3 vacancies. I think they were testing me out for more than the one I went for. They may have just been searching for ideas about how to tackle a fairly daunting prospect.
Do I really want the job??? No, there are more interesting jobs around, however this job will keep me home for one whole year and the office is 15 minutes up the road. The other job I have been offered is in Adelaide where I could visit with DS1 and it is more in my line of Plant Maintenance where as the Brisbane one is Finance, HR and CRM all of which I have done but not in any great depth and I don't find them particularly interesting - it's a case of what I call the warm and fuzzies. It would be a chance to open different doors though. The Adelaide job I could also work in with the Groote Island job but it would mean moving to Adelaide for 6 months. Do I want to go to Adelaide in winter - Perth in winter was a worry and that is further north than Adelaide. Adelaide has more $$$$ and taxable allowances, the Brisbane job has lower costs. So depending on who offers me what I shall make a decision sometime next week or not as the case maybe. Either way I have made it clear that I will be looking for time off while the kitchen goes in.

And that is about it. Time to move on out into the sunlight and hang out the washing, clear up the carport and mow the yard - oh rats it is still to early to bring out the power tools. I'll be hung drawn and quartered if I make too much noise on Good Friday morning. See ya!

happy2bme 03-21-2008 08:25 AM
