Good Evening, Flowers! It is quite warm here tonight. The wind is beginning to wind down so I opened some windows hoping to avoid the air conditioner. We spent the day at the lake with MIL; Beth and her family came up too. Maddy is so funny. She was afraid of the cracks between the dock boards. Bob likes to go out and drown worms off the end of the dock all the while Kolby was running back and forth between Bob and his dad on the beach. Finally Maddy ventured out one board at a time. The fish Bob was catching were not keepers so she was "helping" throw them back in the water. After a few minutes he caught one just like the previous fish and Maddy was so excited, she said, "Look! He came back to us!" The wind got worse as the day wore on, but the kids played in the sand -- water is still too cold to swim in.

"Gma" -- I hope by now that Jackson has arrived safe and sound, and that you had a safe trip. Enjoy your time with your family!

I am heading off to bed. I have lots I want to get done this week and we head to MN next Saturday for a week. Have a marvelous Monday!

Jean -- in Iowa!

I couldn't wait til morning. He beat us to the punch as we didn't get there in time. He was born at 1:41 PM today. His mom was only in labor a total of 8 hours!!!

He is so gorgeous, but he weighs a whopping 10 lbs 10 oz and is 23 1/2 inches long! Here he is being held by two very proud grandparents!

Talk to you again soon. We are going to bed!!!

Faye

Oh, Faye, he is so adorable. It's going to be hard to leave him when you have to go home. He sure doesn't look like a newborn. Bet Mom has a ton of clothes that aren't going to fit the big boy. I know you will knit him plenty of nice things in addition to what you already have. I'll bet Jack is beside himself to be holding IV.

Jean, it's cooled off here to a more bearable 80 degrees so I've shut off the air conditioner and opened the windows. I love being able to get fresh air into the house.

Boss is leaving for 3-1/2 weeks on Wednesday so it's going to be a zoo until then.
