Thanks Nikki, it feels great to have hit another milestone!

Now my main problem seems to be that all of my shorts are getting too baggy on me but I refuse to buy new ones till I lose at least another 20 pounds or so.

I'm hoping one of my friends who sews can maybe take the ones I have now, in a little bit to get me through till I'm ready to buy new ones.

Love,

Jennelle

Jenelle-

I understand that problem. All my clothese were lose on me 2 weeks ago. Some stil are but with the 5 lb gain I had over the last 2 weeks they fit ok. I think I'm going to have to break down and buy new clothes this fall. I lost 15 lbs from last fall. Hopefully 20 by the time I need to wear fall clothes.

Morning all. Still the one handed typist. and will be for awhile. I had a dentist appt this am and having the teeth cleaned every 6 months makes it so much easier.

No doggy walk this morning. I felt like a truck plowed me over. I did get in the pool last night and used the aqua jogger stuff from years ago to help the muscles move a little.

Cals yester - 1542 and 1.5 very slow walk.

Emma, I hate the occasional time all our helpdesk people are gone and I have to answer the phone. I'd hate it on as daily basis as your job is never done.

Carol, my DH isn't romantic either but as he was so great the last 48 hours with my accident, I think I'll keep him another 24 years or so. Romance isn't everything.

Nikki, welcome back and I hope you're feeling beeter.

Jennelle, I too have ADD but not severely. If I didn't have it, I probably wouldn't have crashed as the accident was because I was very distracted and was doing more than just biking. Good luck getting on track with exercising. I wish I could tell you that exercise helps with ADD but it only alters my depression.

I don't want to work today! I am slow as molasses today, but luckily it's one of those rare days when I don't have to worry about meetings or other appointments. I will be meeting friends later to celebrate one of their b-days. At my recommendation, we'll go to an Indian place that has lots of appetizers or small dishes, so I can pick at little bits of food instead of ordering a big dinner.

Last night I had dinner at friend's house, she has two kids under 4 years old. I miss being around little ones, so it was fun to play with them and read Dr. Seuss.

Marie, glad that you are moving around as best you can. But gong to the dentist when you're already feeling beaten up seems like adding insult to injury

Nikki, are you feeling better? I'm glad that you'll be around more often.

Jennelle, forty pounds gone is quite an achievement . You inspire me. I hope I can say the same by the end of October.

Carol, does Bear think that you're getting down on the floor to play with him when you're doing your back exercises?

Emma, I don't envy you doing customer service work. People can be so nasty, I'd be in a bad mood all the time.

Carol ~ thanks for the suggestion. I've been to many of those site, a lot of them suggest a low carb diet something like atkins or south beach which I can't really stand. I'd rather die than go a week without bread
I'm like you, I try to get in some water before work, usually 1 glass is all I can handle so early in the morning. I get around 4 glasses during work and then another 4-5 after work during workouts etc. Its really hard, and I have to always remember my water because for some reason I keep forgetting to drink it. Have you tried to mix in some crystal light? there are a lot of flavors out there, I've tried the lemon and peach so far, not bad if the water is ice cold.

Jennelle ~ have you tried increasing the size of the text on your browser?. from the top menu go to View> Text size > Largest. Don't know if this would help.

Will try to put extra spaces in my replies, there is no need to be sorry, I understand

Yay for the 40 pounds lost! You have to get yourself a reward for losing this much, maybe a new outfit?

Nikki ~ thanks for the welcome. Good luck with your plan. By checking in more often I think you'll get the motivation you need to get back on track

Marie ~ I'm glad that you are still able to do some sort of activity despite your injuries. It must be really annoying and painful to be typing with just one hand. Hope it all goes away soon

Judy ~ I hate my job but then again I love it, I know this must sound crazy. There are bad days and sometimes there are good days when everyone is calling in to actually thank the agents for all the help they're giving.
Hope you had fun at the BD, I love Indian food!

I'm sore all over, my abs, my arms, my shoulders all because I finally was able to do the Tae bo workout I was planning to do last week, Yay!! - got 70 minutes of exercise yesterday, I'm in pain but its good pain
Food was also good so rewarded myself with a piece of 70% dark chocolate - yumm!

Gotta get back to work - Later!

Marie your so right and when there too much that way heaven only knows what they could be up to. Just another thing to have to worry about. I bet the pool helped a bit are you sure you didn't break something? Sounds bad! Oh two of my coworkers are thinking of applying for a different company more flexible hrs. one closer to home it will be interesting. I am sure the one girl will take it if its offered she currently enjoys working with kids and this would give her a chance.
Judy it must of been in the air no one was into working yesterday my office mates and I felt the same we did but it was a drag. I am sure Bear thinks that for sure. He's something! Crazy little pooch.
Emma I like to use fresh lemon in my reg. water. At work I put it in the little freezer for a bit and when its ice cold its so good. Our water at work isn't really drinkable so I bring it in almost daily. I have tried lately the white tea with raspberry by Lipton. Its pretty good an a nice treat.
I made zucchini bread last night oh so good but not on the hips. I am gald the little children are coming over today I cut it up and its on a plate already and milk will be poured and those cals will be eaten by them and not me. Grandpa is going to watch the 4 of them today while my DD works. They will come over and play and entertain grandpa. Soon they will be back to school. Bear will entertain them I am sure and will get some exercise today.
My intake was on the high end yesterday as I had a sub for lunch. Dinner time I made chili it was cold here. Taking chili to work today and making a taco salad with it so not too bad. Good breakfast and some chicken grilled and squash for dinner. Have a good one everyone.

Carol - It will be fun having your grandkids over - I'm sure Bear will have a great time playing with them. Good thing they can help out eating the zucchini bread!

Emma - Sounds like you had a good workout from the Tae Bo - keep up the good work!

Judy - I hope you enjoyed the Indian food. We have a great Indian restaurant near us but I don't go very often because they have an "all you can eat" buffet and I just can't pass up their mango custard with fresh fruit or the Indian rice pudding (or both!)

Marie - I hope your sore muscles are healing fast. Sometimes it take a couple of days after a fall like that to feel the full impact of the pulled tendons etc. Good for you passing up on making the M&M cookies .

Nikki - How are you feeling? I hope lots better. Good idea to concentrate on healthy eating, it will help your body to heal.

Jennelle - Congratulations on your shorts getting baggy! That's a great feeling. It's good that your friend can help you take in some of your old clothes. I've started doing that as I have several things I really like and didn't want to part with. It's great when you can say "please take this pants in at the waist" - I never thought I'd say that!

Thanks everyone for your birthday wishes

I'm off to a crafts planning meeting for our fall bazaar. I'm going to make some lavender soaps and lavender soap petals (silk rose petals dipped in scented soap). I put them in pretty lavender tulle bags. People use them instead of guest soaps or in public rest rooms when there's no soap.

Good Morning!

I hope you all are having a nice day so far.

My day's going pretty good, I guess ...

I weighed in and this a.m. was 206.8 which is up a little over 2 pounds but I'm not sweating over it.

For one thing, I know that over the past few days that I've eaten more than usual,

And too, with the fluctuation [water weight, etc.] - it's bound to happen from time to time.

Nikki, it looks like we're both gonna end up having to buy new clothes soon, huh?

I know me though and that I'll put it off as long as I possibly can.

Marie, I'm sorry that you're still so sore but hope that as the day goes on, that you'll get some relief from the pain.

Having ADD is sure no fun, is it? Too much of the time, my concentration is close to zero.

Judy, mmmm ... Indian food sounds like it'd be really good!

I absolutely love trying different ethnic foods but live in a really small town so all we have here is Chinese [which I love!]

I've never had Indian food but here that it's hot and spicy and so I'm sure that I'd really like it.

Thanks so much for the congrats/encouragement on my having lost 40 pounds. [I can't wait till it's 50 or 60 pounds gone. ]

Emma, I love Crystal Light and besides coffee - that's what I drink the most of.

70 minutes of exercise? Woo hoo ... way to go, girlfriend!

You asked about increasing the size of the text but unfortunately that doesn't help any if the text isn't broken up.

Carol, how many grandchildren do you have? I have 6 of them and another one on the way.

There are only 3 that are close enough that I get to see on a somewhat regular basis though.

Well, gotta get for now 'cuz I have a ton to do today [but don't feel like it! ]

So far today I've had approximately 75 calories ... had a couple of cups of coffee [with creamer] ...

and then had a cup of General Foods Swiss Mocha coffee. Mmmm, I love that stuff!

Have a good day, friends!

Love,

Jennelle

Penny, thanks so much for the congrats!

Like you ... I also never thought I'd be saying "please take these pants in."

Have a good day!

Morning all, the good news is my shoulder is starting to feel a little better and I can lift my arm a bit. That's progress. I did aqua jogger in my pool again yesterday and it helped loosen things up. No arm work but I have pathetically out of shape arms so it's not surprising they're slow. My legs and such are recovered as they are in good shape. I took the doggies out this morning and most of the walk was brisk except up the hill as I can't take deep breaths. I'm recovering though and that's good.

Jennelle, on one of my intakes with my psych we learned we're form the same small town and when we talked, I told her how I blank out while driving home - I just get there and I have no recollection of driving just all the thoughts that flitted through my brain. She then asked which of the two roads I took and she said "Good, I take the other". I still think that's humorous. My brain never stops and flits form topic to topic. Going to seminars and classes drive me batty. An hour is the longest I can endure.

Emma, I can tell you pain isn't good. Good for you on the workout but you might want to ease into it. Going full throttle usually results in not wanting to do it again.

Penny, the lavendar soap petals sound cool. I've enver heard of them before. I hate public restroom's soaps. Mucho moisturizer afterwards.

The scale was mean this morning but nothing new - it seems stuck and that's pretty amazing for a digital scale.

Carol, is one of the people thinking of leaving the pain in the butt?? One could hope.

Judy, I'm definitely not in the working mood but soon I've got to find it as I have too much to do.

Yesterday's stats: 1558 cals and 45 minutes of mild water aerobics.

I have 4 grandkids and one due in November in Hawaii. I won't get to see that one in person til spring. Oh now that gives me an incentive to get on the ball a trip. Well that will be my new goal.
My back is sore this a.m. and I am thinking of returning to PT. I don't really want to.
I started to be more careful with portion sizes. Measuring 1/2 cup of cereal is interesting I must of been over for along time.
Looks like rain here but I am planning on taking my sneakers and walking after work toay hope it clears.
Yes pray she gets it. Yesterday she said I was shocked when you stayed. I said well things happen and tried to let it go she tried to find out why I said yah can't beat my vac time and walked off. Keep good thought in that direction sure would be peaceful.
Girls my thoughts are with your on the ADHD. Its not easy some meds out now are working well for folks some that have had bad past experiences are unwilling to try them and I understand that. But a low dosage sometimes makes a world of difference just a thought.
I just had my grapenuts and milk a little oj. Packed some chili for lunch and am off to work got to go put my face on. Take care and have a good day.

Hi, all. Monday's dinner with friends was nice, and I made mostly good choices. I was feeling a bit peckish yesterday, so I worked from home and took naps. I'm fighting allergies or something, and my energy is low. Plus it turned amazingly cool--only in the upper 70s today--which always makes me want to sleep in and eat meat loaf. So I haven't worked out since Sunday, but plan to do so when I get home tonight.

Everyone seems to be doing well! I will use your good energy to focus on my Labor Day goal.

Hi all, a quick note. I'm getting better every day. I'm typing with both hands even though the left is in a splint. I can move my arm and shoulder now so that's speeding my typing up dramatically!!!

Carol, re-weighing stuff for a while is a great idea. But it might make me hungry... I guess you have a goal. The bikini for Hawaii.

Judy, take care. allergies are such a pain in the nose. I hope you feel better by tomorrow. Your too busy of a chickie to lay low.

Penny is a darling - did you all know that??? She's made my favorite scent soaps and I'll be getting them soon. I'm so excited.

Emma, Jennelle, and Nicki, hope all is going great for you today.

Yesterday's stats: 1620 cals and 1.5 miles walking. Not horrible but I can do better.

Jennelle - I get a lot of weight fluctuations too, even in one week's time. I can be up and down 2 lbs. within a few days.

As long as the numbers are gradually heading lower, I don't worry about it. Even drinking a couple of extra glasses of water can add a pound of weight until it gets out of your system .

Marie - I'm glad I'm not the only one who "blanks out" while driving! I even blank out when I'm in the mall, like the other day I couldn't remember which store I'd started out in!

I'm going to have to leave my racing thoughts at home! Of course, we could always say we're "mult-itasking"! I'm glad your shoulder is getting better.

My right shoulder blade has been really sore and I think it's from certain yoga poses which put a lot of weight bearing on my arms & shoulders. I have an old injury from 30 years ago right in that spot and I think it's stirred things up. I could do with a deep tissue massage.

Thanks for the compliment - I'm happy I had the orange blossom essential oil so I could make the soaps for you.

Judy - I hope you're not coming down with something. Take care of yourself. I always crave meatloaf - no matter what the weather!

Carol - Sorry your back is sore again. Seems like we all have some kind of aches and pains lately. I hope the PT works for you. I didn't quite understand your last post. Did you mean that the "person" who has been giving you grief at work is looking for another job? Let us know when we can uncork the champagne!

Nikki & Emma
- I hope you had a good day.
