hi l!!!!!!i missed ya!! not at goal yet in fact i had one of my i dont care slip ups for about month and gained 9 lb. and now am bk 2 it bc i was chosen to be in health mag's i did it column so i gotta do it. luckily i have time bc due to the move on jan 3 i wasnt able to attend the photo shoot this month so w 1 person a month for 5 months i should begood il june. have been workin so freakin hard for a week now. how ya doin? was thinkin maybe for the new year the 3 of us could resolve to revive the thread w a brand one? whatya think?

If you want to make a new thread thats fine with me. Have you heard from T at all? I haven't :( Guess what?????? I finally joined weight watchers. I like it and have lost 5lbs since joining. It wasn't as much as I thought it would be...and after christmas I'm going to go ahead and pay for the 6 week special they have for the month of December. I remember you saying you were moving to TN. How is that going....and Jan 3rd thats so close :hug: |
:hugs: lorra! youre too sweet! ty!! dunno the when yet bc they only feature one person a month which is prob why it wont be for a few more months at least bc they shoot the ppl on 1 day cuz its easier for the photog which is understandable it just suckds foer me that it fell on closing week and cannot travel alone so when i shoot ill let ya know-its health magazine that i do know. its the i did it column.
congrats! are you dissapointed in a 5 lb loss? why????? i think i know just the thing to put it in perspective for ya girlie----never hjad this one fail yet so here it goes....lemme ask ya somethin---would you like me to take that 5 lb loss away from you? no you say? i thought so! so there ya go! go to walmart and buy 5 lb dumbells&then youll know how 5 lbs feels. congrats on joining---i never went bk but i plan to buy the new at home kit at midnight tomm night like i do every year. im excited that my new addy qualifies so i can juat order it whereas im used to using another addy just to get it. stupid i know but when they change the programs(starting sun) they usually have 3 months worth of materials and the home kit is cheaper than 3 months of meetings bc for that money youre getting all 12 weeks worth at once in addition to both food companions& a yrs subscriotion to ww mag. i havent heard from t@all, but now that i know that ypou finally joined i think we should wipe the slate clean in jan w a fresh thread and make this the year we kck booty!!!!:D keep up the good work---and stay tuned although as i said im not expected to appear in the mag bf june but when i know youll know! |
Noooo A I didn't mean the lbs lost I meant the price of the meetings. I was actually scared I was going to get yelled at for losing 5lbs...someone told me it was to much. I was all worried until my leader was just as happy about it as I was. I guess every leader is different.
I'm going to keep going to the meeting cause I just paid all the start up fee's and updated my books. They also have a special for December ..I will pay 60.00 for 6 weeks that comes out to be 10 a week. I'm all for saving the 25 bucks. I like going too it's kinda fun and the having to weigh in there keeps me honest :D What a better time to be honest is during the holidays :lol: Keep me updated on the mag for sure:D A new thread sounds good to me. What do you want to name it? I think it should be named after our new year and new start. What do you think? |
lorra they say up to 5 is normal for the firstb 2-3 weeks...they mean 1-2 lbs a week after that so no worries. good job! i might go to a meeting in TN dunno but i will still be ordering the kit very late tonight&hope to have it deliverd while my parents are there.
yea i def think a new comittment is in order here----weve all worked to dang hard, too dang long, to give up AND, weve all been awesome friends for way way too dang long to abandon each other now cuz i know havin you guys has helped me so much and i miss you guys! whatya say we go back to the way it used to be w daily or almost daily notes? i dunno about what to name it? do you? im pissed that i allowed my high stress yest to derail my workout&to be honest, more carp derailed my training session today too but i will swim tonight therrees no way im gonna skip 2 days. lost like 1 1/2 lbs @wi today so ive lost abouit 5 1/2 lbs since recommitting:) |
I remember reading losing more the first few weeks was normal but there was a woman in our meeting that lost three pounds and she had been there for a while and no one gave her crap. What comes in the home kit your ordering?
I agree on the new thread . I missed you too. I liked that even when we were not on plan we chatted about every day stuff. If we move it though it may be hard for T to find if she decides to come back. We can always leave a link though. Didn't think about that.... As for names.....Hmmmm how bout getting to goal 2008 or something like that or maybe new years recommitment??? I went to a Christmas party this afternoon.....All there was to eat was hamburgers and chips, cookies, and lots of regular soda. My plan was not to eat anything. I got up late and didn't get a chance to eat before I left so I was starving by the time it was time to eat. Sooo lucky I had a diet coke to take along and sipped on that. The hamburgers smelled sooo good. I made a plate of one burger and a snack size bag of chips. I slowly ate the burger ...mostly talking. By the time I was ready for my chips everyone was done eating and someone offered to take my plate to the trash so I said sure and gave the chips to someone at my table. Anyhow I'm not totally disappointed in myself. I can still enjoy dinner somewhat. Next Saturday is the adults only party...may not be as easy at that one. Not sure what there will be for entertainment. :cheer: WooHoooo :cheer: on the 5 1/2 gone....I lost another lb this morning so I'm 6 pounds down since joining WW. This is usually the month that I gain ten pounds then go on a diet Jan 1st to lose weight :lol: Will be nice to be ahead of the game come 2008...My goal is to lose at least 4 more pounds before 2008 |

exactly gf! i dunno why, but somehow i know in my heart when i fell as hard as i did, it was bc i didnt have you guys to turn to and i dont get much support in this house. good job on the party but you know what? very important!!!! never make a no eating plan cuz you know what? if you want to be a success at staying in control, you gotta keep it real and thats not keepin it real. keepin it real is making a plan like i will eat something healthy beforehand so i eat less junk when i get there or, i will only have a small amount of anything i really really want to have and exercise extra or something like that. everyone has gatherings to go to this time i month. i myself have my monthly lunch date this week but how i usually handle it is keepin it real w/o deprivationand i usually dont eat much else the rest of that day. you wanna laugh? i bought a fiber supplement to use when i eat fatty food b/c im allergic to chitosan and the things are as big as tums! i took two w dinner tonight and thought i was gonna die! lol---i think its bc youre supposed to chew them but no way in h-e-l-l thats hapopening i just pop it in and swallow w liquid. how bout something like getting rid of the weight in 2008? i can email tara----- i wouldnt leave her in the dust... well i couldnt get in the pool so i guess i better get my booty to the basement. sure am glad to have ya back gf! esp since ive gotta strive for a major balance between being reasonable about getting readsy for the shoot while not depriving myself which isnt proving to be easy.this is my 2nd weekend back op and im managing to keep pizza consumption to 3(eventually 2 but baby steps cuz i was eatin 4) its hard cuz i know i gotta stay op as much as possible but i know ui have to be real about the holiday season too-which basically means rolling w the punches and using portion control when i eat crap and staying core the rest of the time. again---not easy but now i have you back so i know im gonna be ok----WE are gonna be ok!:) |
duh i forgot aboput the kit: its a special program book with all 3 months of ww materials combined(all of which youll get over 12meetings) plus the food companions, slider which i never use,and the stupid magazine which i cant stand. i just like gtting all 3 months for 110 dollars cuz in ny 3 months costs more than that.

oh yea: and that lady w the 3.... they dont count times when you stall and lose big. they just dont want ppl losing like a lb a day consistently is all.
