Good morning ladies! Sounds like everyone has been busy. We decided to use some of Jack's movie passes he got for Christmas and went to see Clint Eastwood's movie, "Letters from Iwo Jima." He should surely win an Oscar for directing this movie It was superb even if is was a war movie. So sad, but portrayed in a way that was not offensive to either Americans or Japanese. I guess it is based on letters written by Japanese soldiers that an archaeological dig found burried in mountain tunnels dug in Mount Surabachi. It was done all in black and white with english subtitles. Thank goodness I read fast or I would have missed half of what they were saying at they came and went pretty quickly. Eastwood did a spectacular job of shooting the movie too. He somehow made is just a little fuzzy like a 1940's newsreel might have been making it more realistic. It really is a fine movie and I am not a war movie buff.
Jean: Hope you had fun with the little ones. I haven't seen T in a couple 2-3 weeks now. I sure do miss the little guy. Good grief, I feel so stupid! I forgot Bob sells insurance!
Maggie: Can you imagine riding halfway across country on a stagecoach? Oh my aching back! I heard the train was no picnic either as in summer you got cinders and in winter you froze to death. Hope your church get together is a huge success and many come out. I have always thought the best way to evangelize is with food. People will come to a free meal when they wouldn't any other time!
My crazy top is coming right along. I have gone through one skein already and started on the next. The stuff is slippery though and I have had a couple, "slide off the roads,"

where I have had to pick up stitches. The sparkly stuff I bought is harder to knit with than this stuff. I am about at my 5th time starting over with it, so I just left it for the time being. I should have my yarn for my dd's sweater come in next week so can get that started and done. I just have to get on the ball about the blanket.
You ladies have a wonderful Sunday!
