Hello all--

This is a very proud "Mommy" tonight. Brant came up last night and stayed with us before he had to leave this morning for his rodeo finals in Omak. The top 12 riders get together with the top 12 bulls. So it is a mish mash of different stock contractors bringing the best of the best!! Our neighbor had 4 bulls that made it, and my Uncle had 4 bulls and 3 horses that made it to the finals. This is a two day event, with the possibilities of winning top ride for Saturday, top ride for Sunday, and then best average for the two days. BRANT WON TODAY WITH A SCORE OF 81. Yipppeee!!!

Oh how I wish my Dad could have seen this! And my Grandpa. They would have been so proud of him. I know I sure am!! They were two of his biggest fans when he was just starting out and no one knew Brant's name at any of the rodeos......Now a days they all know him. And when they have the calcutta's it cost a large sum of money to buy him now. So.....tomorrow, he can take it all if he has the winning ride!! But even if he doesn't win tomorrow, if he has a good score to go with todays 81, he could still take the Best Average along with today's win. We thought about going, but dh has such a hard time sitting on bleachers all day, that we decided not to go. Wish I could have seen his ride now. I am a very proud Mommy tonight!! And you can bet I WILL be there next year if he makes it again!!

Me, too- Country!

Wow, it has been quiet here this weekend. Yesterday was a pretty relaxing day but I did clean the house a little. DD helped me tidied her own room and even helped with mine. She even folded some of her own clothes and put them away in her dresser. I am so impressed!!! She was so proud of herself when she managed to fold her own clothes and I can see how little things like that boost her confidence. We went to church this morning, then to Publix for grocery shopping. Dh made some steaks for lunch and I also ate some Publix chicken wings as well. No salad. Yep, weekend is usually a lazy day for me and I couldn't be bothered with my salad today :) Tonight will be different as I will be having my mix green salad with chicken salad sandwich. Something simple because dh is working tonight.

BEACHFAN : Good to see your post again and glad you are back on SB wagon. I know you won't be sorry :) How did your date go? Was the food good? I haven't been to an italian restaurant for a long time. I love their olive oil and herbes dipping for sauce for the garlic...yum! Well, pre-SB days :)

Oh yawn what a lazy day. Did manage a load of laundry but have had a very relaxing day. Even managed a nap. Guess I'll cook chicken for dinner. It was oh so cold here this morning. Yikes fall is really here. Hope everyone is having a nice day....

I totally blew it today. I'm not talking about a few cheats here and there either. I'm talking about a whole day of binge eating to the point that I have a humongous and gassy stomach now. I've eaten so much crap that I feel like I can barely move. Why did I do this after doing pretty good lately. Well, you can bet I'll be back on that wagon tomorrow. I'll probably follow Atkins(low carb) for a day or 2 until I get rid of this bloat. Protein and lots of water should help(fingers crossed). I'm sure I'll still be up a couple of pounds by WIW. Man, when will I ever learn?! All I can do is get back on track and go from there. Anyway, I got alot of the kids Xmas today. Got a new credit card. Fine and dandy until I get the statement,lol. Boogie is really into Spiderman, so he got several Spiderman things. Ashley is into Bratz and girly things like Fashion jewelry, purses, shoes! When I was her age, I was out climbing trees. Yesterday, we went back to the fair. This time with my Mom and Dad. Had a pretty good time, but it was soooo hot, we were drenched. I got me a couple of shirts for this Fall and some Crest Whitestrips at Walmart for myself earlier today. I also got hubby some hunting stuff for his birthday next Monday. Well, not much to report. Oh yea, I'm still tinkering around with the pics and stuff. Maybe I'll get some posted in a bit.

I forgot to mention that the other night, Boogie and Ashley were taking a bath...Ashley emptied a whole bottle of shampoo in the tub, Boogie stood up, slipped and hit his eye on the side of our cast iron tub. Off to the ER we go...everything was fine. Just an ugly black eye.

Here's a couple of more pics and I'm thru for now. The one of me is not a good one at all. Hubby took it while he was lying down on the couch and I was standing up(LAZY!), so it makes my face look fat.

Hey Everyone! :wave: Having a rough time & scale not looking too good these days but I'm starting over tomorrow. Did much better today but over the past few days I ate 1/2 lb of fruitcake that I'm sure will pack on several lbs. Don't know where my head was when I did that???
