Default Newbie here--question about milk...

Hello,

I know I'm probably doing this wrong, but here goes...

Today is my first day on SB and hopefully I can stay on it!

My question is about milk--I looked on the label of my skim milk and saw that it has 11g of sugar per serving, yet in the SB book (I have the first edition) one of the meal plans for breakfast lists cereal with milk. Is this legal? What do I do?

Thanks for all your help!

B

The sugars in milk are from lactose, which is a naturally occuring sugar in the milk. It is not added, and does not cause much of an insulin response. As long as the milk has no sugar additives, it is legal. This is of course, referring to cow's milk. Milk is legal.
